Expensive and disappointing. Second visit but this time, the food was lukewarm at best when brought to the table. Such a shame when the quality is there but why serve it cold. Unfortunately this has put us off. It wasn't cheap so we will take our custom elsewhere .

We booked a table as a family of eight to celebrate two birthdays on Sunday 11th May. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was amazing! We were very impressed and will definitely come again and will be recommending. We had a great time .

I came around midday on Sunday 11th of May 2025, And was in a party of 4 adults, The food was excellent along with the atmosphere, Laura was waiting on us for the entire meal and was very polite and helpful, food was excellent, I actually made a point of speaking to the Steve the manager to complement him on how well we had been treated, along with how clean we found the Littleton Arms, I would definitely recommend this gem of a pub.

Came for a few drinks yesterday with my mom. Josh was brilliant. He did not stop smiling and providing brilliant customer service to everyone in the garden. The drinks were also great by Ali. Can recommend this place to anyone.

Had a lovely lunch today, really good food and service. Noah made the whole experience better and fun, he’s a lovely little man. Highly recommend

I recently had my 60th birthday in the downstairs area, it was amazing Hannah & all the staff were amazing, drinks flowed quickly from the bar, food arrived on time, hot & tasty and finally we had a huge cake that was cut to perfection by Hannah’s team. Really nice decor and atmosphere. Food was all nice but the kids sausage and mash had a lot of green beans (odd choice for a kids meal, peas would have been better) and lots of herbs and chives in the mash so wasn’t that well received. They do blue light discount.

Celebrated a Birthday 🎉 with a family Sunday lunch. Asked before hand for a quiet area. Upon arrival we were seated in a lovely quiet separate room divided from the main area by curtains. The staff were friendly whilst professional and were on hand when required but not overbearing. The decor is stylish and was well presented. The food was very nice. Ours varied from Sunday roasts, burgers, fish and chips and children’s food. All was cooked and presented well. Our only issue was the child’s pasta appeared to be pasta mixed with tinned tomatoes. Our grandson did not eat it as it didn’t taste very nice. A proper tomato based sauce would be a better option. We didn’t complain as there was so much on the Roast dinner plates that were served our grandson enjoyed some of this instead. Dessert was lovely and the options offered were great. We were also served a complimentary dessert for the birthday boy. We will definitely return and would highly recommend a visit to this lovely establishment.

We have visited this restaurant a few times now and never been disappointed. A warm welcome and with Lottie taking care of us what more could we ask for.

Had a great lunch on our last visit and we all had steaks. Fillet and Ribeye. All excellent. Returned today for my birthday and the Ribeye was aweful. All other dishes were great but basically spoiled my birthday lunch with a tough steak full of hard fatty bits ....each mouthful......never again

The atmosphere here is lovely - warm and welcoming. There is an impressive variety of dishes, some a little out of the ordinary. Served by Sophie who was knowledgeable and attentive. Fully recommend.

A lovely place to eat. It us very atmospheric, with good food and great staff, especially Laura, our waitress for the evening!

We sat outside in the glorious sunshine and had a selection of really tasty starters. Service was excellent too. Menu a little more limited than usual as they were also serving a fabulous looking Sunday Lunch. Next time when it’s not as hot maybe!

I was hoping to be wowed by the dirty burger that I ordered but I wasn't.A very dry burger almost tasteless if it wasn't for the bacon and pulled beef and varying condiments sorry just being honest. I thought for the price we paid it was way too much especially not being wowed! However I will say I thoroughly enjoyed the trio of sweets but there should of been a much bigger portion.

First time visit and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us a really spacious table. The decor inside is beautiful & the restaurant was really clean. They have taken steps to ensure that the premises is open to all and is child friendly. Ample parking is available. Our server was Luca, who was attentive & professional with excellent hospitality skills. We ordered the butternut squash soup & black & pepper squid (calamari). Both starters were delicious and presented beautifully. The fish & chips were huge & tasted great. We will be returning in the future. Good selection of non-alcoholic drinks, the bramble lemonade was refreshing. 10/10

I've eaten here twice recently, one in January on a quiet evening and yesterday on a very busy evening. Both evenings were of the same standard, extremely long wait for orders to be taken and for food to be delivered. Yesterday an hour and 5 minutes from our booked table time for food to be presented. I had rump of lamb which despite asking for it to be cooked medium was cooked through with no sign of pink. I had a mini desert, the crumble was not consistently warm with some cold spots. I will not be visiting this place again despite the desert refunds which I was awarded for both visits in recognition of the poor service received.

Really accommodating with the spacious table area and room for the pushchair. Our server Lottie was lovely and the food was great too!

Eve was our hostess for the evening and was very polite helpful and a joy. The meal was delicious. Eve all night was very helpful and curtiuous. A pleasure for your company.

We’ve eaten at the Lyttleton a few times, have always thought it a lovely place and this visit was no different. Beautiful surroundings, great staff who can’t do enough for you and found us a private table (without a booking). The food was so flavoursome so all 3 courses were eaten alongside beer and perfectly made Long Island Iced Tea cocktails. Great place!! Recommend it regularly 5*

We had a wonderful time. We popped in for some desserts to celebrate a new job. The desserts were incredible - my friend said it was the best creme brûlée she’d ever had. They also treated us to a celebratory Prosecco which was wonderful.

Came in for a late mother's day dinner today and we had a great time. The team there are very friendly and looked after our every need. Sammy served us and she was fabulous, also a massive thank you to hannah, Amy, becky, Lauren and Alex. We will be back soon.

Service from the kitchen was slow, waiting staff very pleasant. Menu on website not up to date. We had duo of pork and rotisserie chicken with pasta which was very nice.

We went for my wife’s birthday with both sets of parents and our adult daughter and family. Lauren our waitress was outstanding. Polite, well spoken and personable. She made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. One member of the group had a serious nut allergy and Lauren made sure that they were informed of all their menu choices. Well done! And thank you for making my wife’s birthday meal that extra bit special Lauren!

Went here for lunch, the food was good value and ambience is nice. You have to order food at the bar, bit of a pain when you are ordering starters and mains for serveral people. It says you can order at the table via a qr code, but the website doesnt work and no scope to enter specific options / dietary needs. The service is really, really slow, the staff are friendly but there is obviously a breakdown in the system somewhere.

One of my favourite spots for a family meal. The new menu is lovely as well, my new favourite is the duck salad!

Lisa (from Hull) was great, funny, bubbly personality & great service. Lisa made was us feel very welcome, noting on this visit the usual team were on their Xmas do, so the corps were pulled in to do the ground work - very, very busy evening, with staff trying to get to grips with a pub they were not familiar with, but service was great all round. Several chats with Lisa resulted in having family from the same area she lived in! Mad as a box of frogs - but Lisa you were great craic! 😃

We have eaten here many times over the last 40 years and the meal this evening was probably the best Our waitress Danielle was excellent. She was very bright, warm, engaging and helpful. She knew the menu well and advised clearly when asked. A credit to the restaurant Other staff were friendly and polite A very enjoyable evening and I highly recommend the Lyttelton

I held a surprise birthday party last night at the Lyttelton arms in the function down stairs, everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a lovely night thank you to all of my colleagues for making the night so special but a massive thank you to Beth our lovely bartender who attended to all my guests needs through out the night and Lauren in the kitchen for cooking our delicious food, everyone made it very special thank you all very much !!! It was a very busy pub on Saturday evening. It was clearly overstretched and it showed. The drinks were all wrong from the bar, multiple requests were not acted upon and plates between courses were not cleared ready for the next. It was so noisy you struggled to have a conversation at the table. The food was ordinary at best…disappointing given the top price. It is a better pub than we experienced this particular night. But it was poor.

Party of 12 for Sunday Lunch. Had a room to ourselves. Laura and her colleagues certainly helped to make the day with their great service & friendly banter with us all. More custard required with the desserts tho 👍🏼🙂

We had a lovely meal and excellent service from Lauren. As requested, we had a quiet table in the corner, and Lauren went above and beyond to make the dining experience special by asking the kitchen to add a personalised celebratory message to our desserts. We will be returning soon.

Really nice food erm if I could afford it I would eat there 3 times a day 7 days a week like I dont think I can praise them any more than I can but they are amazing but don't take my word for it treat your self to some amazing food and very well spot on atmosphere where everyone is absolutely polite and welcoming I mean the staff and customers so yh please head over to there 😀

Went here to meet a couple of friends as it was 'somewhere in the middle' ordered a BOTTLE of peroni, got served with a pint glass, a Pepsi max, got served with a flat tasteless glass of syrup, and a pint of water for the non drinker, which was greeted by a pulled face and an eye roll. All of this for the princely sum of just under £11.00. Place looks nice when walking in and the decor inside was pleasant enough. Lots of parking. Call yourself a gastro pub, ramp up the prices, pop yourself in an area where people have more money than sense A recipe for success! All style no substance springs to mind. Didn't eat here so will reserve judgement on this but very unlikely I would return to find out
