Eaten here few times, the food is always good value for money, and the service is always friendly.

Always an amazing meal with fantastic service at the Oak Tree. Have been coming here for many years and will continue to. Stacy & Aisha were so friendly and helpful.

Stacey and Alisha went above and beyond for my son who has eating issues. The chef was great and accommodating. We will be back very soon.

Staff amazing/Food was pretty shocking….. I’m not sure where to start really, a chainsaw could not get through the steak on 2 attempts , the food that had been fried was really dark as if it had been sat around too long or the oil had not been changed! Good job we had some backup food for the baby, 2 of the meals had items missing as it was not in stock but we were not told, we were a large party and normally pretty easy the please, drinks are really expensive to which you can normally get over if the food was good. Staff were amazing and a credit to the place, I’ll go back if I hear there’s a new kitchen team. Place was nice and clean all over too!

Got there early afternoon. There were plenty of seats. Food took a while to arrive, but it was good. I had Chicken pie, chips and peas. The crust was slightly on the hard side, but the pie was definitely edible. The woman that served the food was pleasant. Nice atmosphere, very friendly affable staff.I would recommend.

Staff are rude, they listen in on your conversations. They also said their kitchen closes in an hour but when trying to order, all of their food was “unavailable”. I don’t recommend this pub to anyone

We went to The Oak Tree today for a Mother’s Day meal. We were shown to our pre-booked table, wheelchair accessible as requested. The menu gave us plenty of choices. Three of us chose a Sunday Roast, and oh my, we were so glad we did. The meat portion was very, very generous. All the veg was perfectly cooked. We’ve eaten here before, but not on a weekend. The roast dinners are to die for. The staff, Stacey, Gina, Alisha, Emily & Ellie were very attentive, polite and friendly. It was very busy, but nothing was too much trouble. The prices were very reasonable. We had all decided on a pudding but were too full after such a generous main meal. Maybe next time we’ll not have a starter so we’ll have room for a pudding. The puddings looked scrumptious. Weekday treats or a Sunday roast, The Oak Tree is definitely the place to go.

Nice run food and drink outlet run by courteous staff and the carvery was very good the food wasn't bland- the place has a good size carpark and disability bays and disability entrance as there is only one level yes if your in the area call in and enjoy👍

Went to the oak tree twice. The first time a week ago or so I went with my fiance, I ordered a peperoni pizza, staff came out to say sorry there's no peperoni. Then I went back yesterday with my fiance, this time I ordered steak and ribs, the chef come out and said there's no ribs! Not a good look and I wont be rushing back anytime soon.... Its a shame

Six of us. Called in for Sunday dinner. Worst Sunday dinner ive ever had . Veg was just about raw yorki pudding was dry as a crisp. Roasties were burnt black . Stuffing ball whas that hard that you couldn't bite through it . We all left most of the same food on our plates. So it wasn't just me.. surely whoever is in charge can see that this is not acceptable. And need to improve the standards. or get new staff . The only thing that was ok was the meat. Not be back in a rush..

The food was perfect couldn’t fault it. Staff were even better, the two girls at the bar were amazing, a credit to the pub. (Couldn’t get their names, but it was a girl with red hair and she was training the other girl with blonde hair.) They had a rough day but still had smiles on their faces. Thanks guys!

Popped in for a Sunday dinner ,It was awful, it was warm not hot . The roasts were hard and overcooked. You had the tiniest bit of mash . Yorkshire pudding was hard and flat . The stuffing was rock hard . The food had no taste at all . I did tell the waitress but she didn’t seem at all interested. I won’t ever go there again .

Me and my partner came here after receiving a 30% off voucher in the post. We'd been here before, but it'd been a couple of years. We really enjoyed the food! The service was fast and friendly, and the environment was warm and comforting. I'd say the food was reasonably priced and worked out even better having the discount. So I do recommend coming if you also get one through the post!!

Food was good not everything on menu available and no sides eg coleslaw with burger but very friendly and helpful staff

Our first set of drinks came as we was eating our food which isn't great, when you ask the bar staff for something like getting your drink you ordered 30 mins ago a hard job. Food was nice but won't be coming again based on the service.

Popped in for lunch after we had been doing some shopping. Not too busy so shown straight to a table. Ordering is via the bar or their app, but we ordered at the bar. Good menu with an interesting variety. I chose the steak and ale pie, and my wife had a chicken burger. We both started with a tomato soup, which was served with a generous helping of crusty bread. We did not have to wait long, and the meals were served promptly. Very enjoyable, and plenty to eat. Service was great and the staff were polite and helpful. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Visited for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. With several dogs (one very nervous) and a wheelchair user we find it difficult to go out! Staff accommodated us considerately, even moving us from our initial table when they could see that we would be better seated elsewhere. Decent food. Issue with one meal - very quickly replaced. Will definitely return for a more relaxed meal soon!

Arrived on a Wednesday evening. Wasn’t busy but a few tables were busy. We went for drinks and staff were lovely and friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Nachos were nice too and a great range of drinks

We visted on 1st Feb, struggled to see a free table as multiple tables were in use for bigger parties. The Girls managed to squeeze us in and explained their was a wait on food. Bar staff and waiting staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble considering they were rushed off their feet. Definitely need more staff on days like Saturday 3 isn't enough.

Firstly, was advised we could order from table via QR code didn't work! Went to bar advised it wasn't working didn't even get a response and this person was the manager!! Didn't smile as miserable as sin. Other waitresses were friendly and attentive. Food was not the best, I had steak pie lacked seasoning tasteless overpriced for what it was, my partners food was Luke warm, and my adult children's meals were overdone. We went to play pool and the table in that area was dirty with previous glasses and a deconstructed bun for well over an hour. Shame because it's been a while since I've seen it this busy food and manager let it down.

Lovely pub Stacey and alisha was outstanding the blonde haired woman I couldn't of faulted her not once she was outstanding my son is autistic had abit of a meltdown over his dinner crying and screaming she come over with colouring then toys !!! And then when we left even gave him 2 lollipops what a lovely lady can tell she is a mother herself such a motherly instinct made us as a family feel at ease to come here more often and not all pubs are understanding and patient with us thank you and overall the food was amazing aswell

Food took a very long time to arrive, no pre warning it would, food was fine but not worth the wait. Seating area was unbeatably hot and uncomfortable. We won’t be returning.

This is a better than average, local cheap as chips pub chain type establishment so as long as you go in with that expectation you will be happy. The staff are always happy, helpful and friendly and offer brilliant service. We had particularly great service from Stacey & Alisha this evening Theres a good range of food on the menu and its all pretty tasty with decent portions. Its your basic pib food type offerings but theres plenty to choose from and a few more interesting bits too. Food comes out relatively quickly and all was piping hot and well cooked. If you have a pooch at home they are a dog friendly place with a doggy station for blankets, water bowls and treats however for those who dont want to eat around a 4 legged friend the dog friendly seating area is sufficiently seperate from the main restaurant area. Tables and seats are comfy and well spaced out so it doesnt feel cramped Overall its a great place to have on our doorstep and a favourite of ours when we want to pop out for a quick and easy dinner that we know we will enjoy but won't cost the earth Can reccommend: The ultimate burgers, mac and cheese bowls, chicken kebab and the thai veg curry. All some of our favs.

We were a party of 9 (6 adults, 1 teenager and 2 toddlers), it was a family get together meal as 3 members of the party were traveling home the next day after spending 2 weeks celebrating Christmas and New year. The three ladies that we had that took our order and served us with our food and beverages were absolutely amazing, there is a couple of picky eaters in the group. The ladies were pleasant and friendly and extremely helpful. The only downfall we had was that the chef didn't read the food order ticket correctly and made mistakes on 2 meals, we know the waitress had taken the order correctly as she read it back to us before we paid. The waitress even noticed the order was wrong when she brought it out and brought the food to us to show us and said she will get the meal cooked from fresh. Overall we had a lovely time together and were looked after well by the waitress's.
