Was a very quirky place with lots of low beams. Friendly staff. Currently on appetite reducing drugs and they allowed me to purchase a child’s meal. Very grateful for this. Carvery plenty of choice!

What a fantastic afternoon we had at the stables. We came for the bottomless brunch, the lovely lady looking after us was called Maddie, couldn't of done enough. She was very attentive, chatty, such a lovely member of staff that gave us outstanding service with a lovely smile, highly recommend, will definitely be returning 😁

We popped in hoping to have a quick beer and spot of lunch. We decided not too as it was dark and dirty. Sticky bar and dirty glasses. Basically felt like it was a student bar. Large groups who Have clearly had too much to drink. Staff were unfriendly, but who can blame them if they have to work in that environment. In some of the pictures it looked pretty decent. Far from it .

Good ambience upstairs and great food at a competitive price We sampled many of the meals between us and everyone said how good they were - chilli great, stable burger excellent and scampi overflowed the plate with great chips. Puddings were great value We will go again

We called back again!! For Sunday Dinner, nice well cooked food, 6 different veg, meat spot on. Price has gone up to £13, but it still is excellent value. Friendly staff , what's not to like!

A great little pub , very old and it looks it. We had to stay downstairs as my wife couldn’t handle stairs. Everyone was very helpful including staff and customers. We were made to feel most welcome. The lunch menu was small but perfectly adequate for us. The beef stew special was superb and at £7.50 was and absolute steal. My wife had scampi which was very good and plentiful. All washed down with excellent real ale and lager. If we are in this area again we will surely visit this pub. 10/10. Thank you

We had a superb Sunday carvery meal here. I probably had the most meat I’ve ever had in a carvery. Very generous serving and the quality of the beef and pork was just delicious. Very friendly staff and we will return again for another carvery.

Been here before for bottomless brunch however they have changed it and now it is awful. They don’t even give you options of drink or food and just put it all on your table. No consideration of allergies. The way they are doing it is producing a lot of waste when they are providing you with things you do not like. Plus everything on the website is wrong and clearly outdated. Bad service and no checking if we wanted anymore drinks. Will not return

Have been to The Stables many times and enjoyed each meal there. First Sunday Carvery today. Generous portions and all well cooked. Nothing was too much trouble for Gemma and her friendly staff, they are a credit to the hospitality trade. Myself and my friends went for bottomless brunch for my birthday. The food was amazing and the service was astronomical!! Our waitresses Jamie & Mia went above and beyond for us. Can not thank them enough for making my day extra special. hHonestly will be returning!! Big shout out to Jamie and Mia for making it so memorable. Fantastic venue!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We booked bottomless brunch for my hen do but then found out I was pregnant! 🙈 The owners went above and beyond by ordering non-alcoholic drinks to make my very own ‘cocktail tower’. What a fantastic afternoon & brilliant venue. We had the small back room for a group of 14 people for a Hen Party. Food was amazing & plenty of it, cocktails kept flowing & all staff were very friendly & helpful. From the time we booked it nothing was too much trouble when we made any requests, especially when decorating the room for the hen! We shall definitely be returning.

Carvery was top notch. Generous, perfectly cooked, meat portions and well prepared veg sides. Decent value and service.

Have to say the bottomless brunch was great value for money. Lots of alcohol and the food was lovely. Will definitely be going again.

I don’t usually write reviews but had to for this place. Bottomless brunch was incredible so much drink, so much food, amazing value. We had a cocktail tree, a jug of gin fizz and a bottle of Prosecco between three of us. We could’ve had more but didn’t need it. Will definitely be going back.

Booking = this was easy and was done by calling the Hereford number. The place opens everyday at 10am. I phoned at around this time Sunday AM and managed to get a slot the same afternoon, so that was good.Entering the building = a mask was needed to enter and sit down - it was extremely loud as soon as you walk in with local louts boozing in groups of more than 6. Could be quite intimidating for a couple of young women going in. I could barely hear what the greeter woman wanted from us upon entry. I managed to cobble together that we needed to scan the QR code and then we were told to go upstairs and someone would seat us. What I thought was nuts is that we needed a mask to come in and yet there was a family that was seated right next us less than 2 metres... Less than 1 metre even.The food = the food was decent, there was alot of it, you could have more than 1 meat. It was a carvery, the lady did all the dishing. The drinks were good too, I ordered a lemonade with blackcurrant. Ice cold and decent size.The staff = our waitress was nice enough, very friendly and smiley. There are 2 improvements I'd make, they need to monitor people not wearing masks when they get up from their seat and they need to be quicker about offering the bill.

My friends & I were in Hereford for the week so decided to visit local hostelry! What a wonderful surprise was in store. Only just under new management but the food, altho on limited menu due to Covid, was to die for! Recommend heartily Chilli, my friend loved it! Other friend had steak which she thoroughly enjoyed my chick-pea & spinach curry was simply heavenly. Delicious & extremely tasty. All accompaniments were first class quality. Don’t be put off by decor... it’s unique & they have only just begun but staff & owner happy to please, obliging & friendly! Just wished we lived nearer!! We wanted somewhere informal for an evening meal and this place was perfect - value for money is truly astonishing and the meals (one Cajun Chicken with chips and one Beef Chilli) were very good indeed. I’d eaten here a few weeks ago and it was great so decided to try the Carvery and wasn’t disappointed.My other half is quite fussy and couldn’t fault it! Hot and a plenty of choice. Great value for money and we’ll definitely be back! The staff were very friendly too.

Visited The Stables based off always seeing it highly recommended by a lot of people on Facebook for having an amazing carvery. We normally travel 45mins to an hour, but we decided to stay local and try somewhere different. Overall, the food was good. The veg was amazing but unfortunately it was the stars of the show that let it down the most: meat & potatoes. The potatoes were rock hard and dry inside, even the smaller ones. My friend went last out of the 4 of us and asked for turkey to which the lady behind the counter said they'd ran out. It was 12:30. I would expect that response late in the afternoon but they weren't even busy, and what, you only have 1 bird? Also the beef was very fatty. Luckily you get a large portion of meat on your plate so luckily I had some after I'd cut all the fat off, however the beef was very tough. In the end, I wouldn't recommend here for a Sunday Roast although it only came to £13.60 (with a pint) so if you're looking for somewhere cheap, it will do.

I’d heard wonderful things about this restaurant. Sadly, it didn’t meet expectations. We had the Sunday carvery, which was reasonably priced, unfortunately, it was all cold, the gravy was, shall we say, gelatinous, and the meat was extremely fatty. When mentioned to the waitress, there was no apology, or offer of a warmer meal, or refund. We all left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. Very disappointing. We won’t be returning.

Our team at costa had our Christmas party here, there were 13 of us and it was absolutely fantastic!! The food was amazing, we all really enjoyed it.. the staff were so helpful and friendly couldn’t fault it! We had a really fun night, will definitely be back. Thank you all x
