Always have great deals. 2 meals for £13.49 or a mix it up for £9 on a Tuesday. Great value for money and the staff are friendly too. Love visiting with family and friends

Brilliant food at a really good price food was cooked perfectly and presented nicely. Shona B was a brilliant server who got our food and drinks in a nice and timely matter.

We were really disappointed with our meal we had a long hair in the meal and the steak was no bigger than macdonalds burger and cremated after finding the hair in the meal really put us off our meal so won't be going back so £36 paid for nothing .....

Typical family pub, some parts are could do with a proper good clean and a lick of paint. But overall, good for the family, lots of choice for fussy eaters!

We come here regularly. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is great value. This isn't fine dining, just great pub grub. Our favourite server used to be Niamh but she left, it's now Amelia B.

Lovely food, but I was very disappointed that I couldn't play pool with my 14 year old daughter as it's in the "bar" area, which is over 18. This is partly why we went there

The steak was amazing! So tasty and cooked perfectly. The chips and peas were OK. The children loved their meals (fish fingers) with waffles for after; and the chicken skewers are delicious! Maisy and Amelia were lovely and checked in that our meals were ok. They even laughed at the dad jokes.

Great family pub with fab affordable food.

Came to watch the rugby and had a great time! Good atmosphere and efficient service. No complaints. Quality of picture on tv could be better but was told it’s getting on a bit! Ordered a burger at half time and it came very quickly and was really tasty. Looking forward to the next England game with a better result!

From start to finish had an excellent time. Bar service was fantastic very helpful and informative. Ordered drinks there but used the app for food. All there at your fingertips and can order more drinks right from the table. When the food arrived DOUG what a jolly man chatty witty and very attentive. Was our first time here but it will now be our local thank you so much

Just stopped here for food to be told it was packed while there was only 10 people in the pub there were 8 of us but obviously our faces didn't fit as we're not from round here. Definitely won't recommend

What an eye sore - the whole pub is in desperate need of some TLC. Never seen it looking so grim. Get your act together management!!!

On Friday, January 10th, we attended a surprise dinner for my son. The staff provided exceptional service throughout the evening. Our group comprised 13 individuals, and the food was served promptly after ordering, with prices being highly reasonable. The two bar ladies were courteous and helpful, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress, named Meg, was notably efficient, polite, and professional. Overall, the experience was highly enjoyable, and we are very appreciative of the efforts of the entire team. Thank you.

Lovely place to eat out with the family. Been going here for years. Needs more vegetarian dishes on the menu. We went as a family today 22/12/24 and we're given a table next to the smoking area exit, every time someone went out for a smoke we were greeted with a cold draft and a lungs full of smoke, it stank. I've never seen a door open so many times in an hour. Either make smokers use an exit away from dinners or remove the tables next to the exit. This spoiled our family meal and I'm very disappointed.

Have visited twice this month and we were impressed by the food price and quality, also the staff have been amazing, Hannah, Shona and another lady whose name we did not get (worked lunchtime 16/12/24) have been so polite and helpful.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. My family & I booked a table for 9 people, which was confirmed. Upon arriving at this restaurant, we were then turned away because they had cancelled the reservation, informing us by email. Who checks their emails every hour? This was totally unacceptable and the lady who greeted us was very unprofessional with about as much empathy as a sock. This place just lost out on 9 alot of money but hey, clearly they didn't need it. They won't get our money ever again either. What a load of crap.

We love dining here for the good value for money, very good service, nice atmosphere and environment. You don’t come to a pub like this expecting a Michelin Star menu, but the food is good quality, good value for money, good portion size and tasty, there’s nothing to complain about, it’s basic food done well. The service is always excellent, friendly and attentive staff, check backs, clearing tables quickly and offering drinks/deserts. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, comfy seating areas and booths, clean and tidy, good bar area and dining areas. Some of the reviews I’ve read slamming it for microwaved food etc… at the end of the day it’s green king pub, I don’t know what else they were expecting 🤣but it’s one of the nicest green king pubs I’ve been to and I think they’re doing a great job. 👍

Reading some of the other comments on here I think some people don’t understand how to correctly rate these places…. It’s a Greene King not the Ritz 🤣 it’s a great pub with warm friendly staff and good food for the price. I’ve actually had consistently better service here on my visits than some “high end” establishments I’ve visited. Overall very good pub, good food, excellent service. Good value for money. Keep up the good work!

Popped in last night for a meal, the person that served me was rude and unfriendly. My partner and I also noticed them staring at us from the bar made us feel very uncomfortable. The milkshake we had was a disappointment, it was a little milk with loads of ice in, some syrup and a little bit of cream on top, very overpriced for what it was. Also the side of coleslaw was completely dry, there was no dressing on it at all.

Good was great. Found staff a little unfriendly even when asked were knifes and folks were told over there and left to find them myself. Would go back for the food that's it

Went for Sunday Roast. Had turkey and beef with a side of cauliflower cheese. The Roast was hot and tasty and the cauliflower was delicious. Didnt have to want long and roast and a drink only £10. Absolute bargain.

This is my second time here in a week and it’s a very nice place to go and relaxed. Service with a smile from Hannah And buy one get one free on burgers which is my favourite. 👍👍👍

Well it's a shame this place has gone downhill since my last visit. To start I ordered a drink of coke and the glass was almost half empty. I ordered a burger and it was so dry and chewy and just plain and horrible. The chicken wings were so greasy and flavourless it was hard to eat. The salt and pepper chips well I didn't realize you had to bring your own salt and pepper!? And I got onion rings with my "meal" and there were 2 and they were tiny. Unsatisfied with my visit Wetherspoons it is for me.

We arrived late afternoon to a very warm welcome from Hannah! Food came after only a short wait and was fantastic. We would recommend this venue to everyone as all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Very good service from our waitress and pleasant friendly atmosphere. Despite being told the food would be a 40 minute wait, it arrived promptly- very satisfied!

The quality and quantity of the food we ordered was very poor.

Helpful friendly staff. Good selection of drinks, including real ales. Food not good. Chicken New Yorker dry and overcooked. Chips barely warm. Coleslaw scary! Colleague had sizzling chicken strips which was hot but pitiful portion size for £13. Shame as I use Green King pubs all over the country when I can. This one not as good as it should be, probably reflected by the lack of customers when we visited. Would only have given 2 stars if there hadn't been live football to watch.

Lovely enjoyable meal, fast attentive service without being overbearing, we had booked a table for 6pm turned up early and they had our table ready which was amazing given we had a hungry child with special needs. Ordered feom our table, drinks and food came fast, girls played in the park which they loved. Toilets are restaurant were very clean. Honestly no complaints at all.

We stopped here for lunch, menu is pretty extensive with plenty of choice, we had between us, a sizzler, Mac n cheese and lamb kofte flatbread, 1 (almost a) pint of coke and two (cold) cappuccino's. The kofte lacked meat and was mostly salad, the chicken on the sizzler had the consistency of soft cheese, which I found odd for chicken, and the coleslaw side was just dry, the Mac n cheese was actually pretty good! For the price it's hard to complain but I don't think I'd ever recommend this place as a go to. Generally disappointed. The barmaid seemed like she didn't want to be there but the two waiters who bought the food out were actually very nice.
