Food was great, piping hot and very well presented. Our server, Lana, was very polite and smiley. Table was cleared swiftly after finishing our meal. Very nice experience overall.the lamb kofta flatbread was exceptionally tasty.

Lovely meal, fast service for food and drinks. Very friendly server/waitress called Hannah nothing was too much trouble, she obviously really enjoys her job which is so lovely to see! The grandstand are lucky to have you Hannah, always smiling and great with the little ones! Will definitely be returning! Thanks Hannah.

Classic fish is not cod wasnt told it was slilacen fish when complain was told well it only said fish and chips your fault for not asking and chips with all meals was cold

No, no, no! Disgusting meal. Yuk. Very bad to start with walking through empty beer cans and loads of cigarette butt's on the route to the entrance door.

Went today for the buy one get one free burgers and noticed they have a new menu. Same offer but a few new burgers to try. I had the sloppy Joe it was delicious. Staff were polite as always and the food was quick. Never a bad meal

Ordered veg lasagne, did not look like the picture on menu! Friends mixed grill was good. Toilets, although clean really need an update from pub company. The ladies in the bar area has rotten wood around the window. You can see the pub has tried to tidy it up by painting it. Staff were friendly

We visit restaurant today was five of us, We have been seated in a very small table and when the food arrived, we didn’t have much space to eat it nicely, so we move small table next to us to make more space. one of the stuff members came very quickly and took the table back from us, and start arguing that he needs that table and we cannot have it and we’re sitting in the place where is enough space for Five people, even if we showed him, it was very very tight. Obviously, we’ve been sitting in the table for four people, and around was plenty of empty tables, which have been empty all the time we’ve been in the restaurant . We felt very bad after this incident… We could feel that the member of the staff Watching us all the time we spend in there and obviously ruined our celebration. Food was okay, but the atmosphere not we’re not gonna come back there ever again and I want recommend this place as the staff don’t treat guest nicely.

Come here most days for lunch, sometimes only have drinks. Food is very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful, Joseph served me today and as usual very polite and chatty. Mostly sit outside but inside seating is comfortable and decor looks good.

Came to the grandstand for a midweek meal and was served by Mollie with an excellent smile on her face. She had great customer service and checked in on how our food was to make sure everything was up to standard. Great experience all round!

Food was very nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. I’m a very fussy eater but there is lots of choice on the menu. Literally cater for everyone which is great. Lots of large bookings. If you ever want to go on the weekend or when sunny book. They are always busy but always delicious.

Walked in and walked out so didn't really try anything but visually it didn't look very impressive. Literally I've not said anything bad about the food or anything else other than my opinion of what my visual impression was. Which as a free and democratic country I am entitled to. I would expect the food and the service to be to a high standard and would recommend anyone to try.

Nice little pub, I'm a lorry driver and park here overnight in my truck while my trailer is loaded through the night a couple times a month. Always nice and quiet and normally a few trucks parking overnight, always a good sleep, they like you to buy some food from the pub if parking overnight but that's a fair deal and the food is always very good

We visited early on a Saturday lunchtime and found both the service and food to be excellent. We placed our order at the bar, and our food arrived very quickly. One of the dishes was a sizzler, and boy, it was sizzling. Steam was flying, and the food was bubbling. The desert was also very good. My wife has to watch her sugar levels, so the offerings in the menu were no good, so they made her a fruit salad up . I, on the other hand, stuck with the sugar rush and enjoyed every bite. I would recommend booking a table as it can get very busy at peak times.

Booked an impromptu table for 2 for Sunday evening. Steaks were amazing cooked to our liking. Really value for money. Eat out on a budget, nothing was a problem. Nice and quiet for us as we like a quiet time.

Had the new yorker chicken, hot, tasty and not long to wait for it to arrive.😀 "Hannah" was pleasent, charming and a delight. 🥰 no complaints from me.

Sorry been there twice first time food cold 2nd time the meal was apaling fish very dry and chips you get more in a kids meal and when I cut into the fish there was creamy substance coming out of it I felt sick so not going there as its all done by microwave that's wat it look like otherwise nice builing location to watch the horses.

Basic food but service and surroundings are very good. This is a great place to take kids for food, although we were sad to see the play area gone, was a big draw for us.

Good value meals, and service was good, but the reserved table we had was in a very drafty corner by a door, so not the best position to enjoy your meal. There was a good family atmosphere though and staff were friendly and helpful. Probably should have asked for another table.

It's a Hungry Horse, so it's not going to be fine dining, but it's exactly what you want it to be. It's warming, comforting pub grub at a reasonable price, and honestly is great for a family meal. I often go there with my wife and daughters, or with friends and it is always welcoming and just what we need. On my last visit, I noted the name of our server - Maia. She was helpful, great with my kids and made us all feel welcome and comfortable. Glad I could give her a mention.

First time here, and it shall definitely be the last. No hello, no welcome, and no thank you. And the best part is that after you order the Food yourself... It then asks you in the app if you'd like to give a tip! 🤣 A tip for what? Carrying a plate to my table? It won't be long until a robot does that. Food was warm, and clearly microwaved. I wish I'd gone Tesco and got a Chicken Tikka Curry from the fridge as it would have been hotter, and much nicer. We gave it a try, but never again.

Great atmosphere. We had a lovely server called Niamh. She was polite and helpful. I had the quadzilla, it was very nice but I could only eat the burger and couldn't fit the fries, it was very filling.

Visited a few times now and always had a good experience. Nice cosy pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have a nice outdoor space with covered booths for alfresco dining, and also an area for the kids to play. The food has been good, with reasonable sized portions. I would recommend their Sizzler meal.

We’ve been in here a few times and the food and service is always great. Very family friendly. Always shocked by how low the bill is but the food is good. Recommend the cheesecake. Thank you to Lee for helping us this evening

Came with my mother at dinner time. Waspleasantly surprised on how kind and helpful the staff was. The barman Joseph was especially helpful and made us feel very welcomed. We ended up having the 5 pound chicken new yorker and mac and cheese, pleased to say it was wonderful. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Brilliant and friendly staff, always welcome with a smile. Nothing is ever too much for them. Weekends are always good here with friendly locals always up for a laugh. Joe and Niamh deserve a pay rise also. Even though I am not trusted enough to be given some darts!!

The grandstand has been my local for many years and I have always had a fun time whenever I've walked through the doors. I've always had a warm welcome! I'd like to give a shout out to my favourite waitress Niamh for always being so lovely and making sure my pint glass is always filled up!

Traditional pub grub from a national chain of budget restaurants. Food is cheap (by today's standards), cooked well. You order at the bar and the food is brought to the table. Portions are a good size. Staff are polite and friendly.

Shocking Sunday dinner the tables we were sat it was freezing complained about it they said nothing they could do we ordered a larger dinner that was more like a child's meal paid extra for £2 we got one extra Yorkshire pudding the beef was as tough as leather it came to the table cold i was really looking forward to it we ended up buying a takeaway on the way back complete rip off and not one we will be repeating

Visited for the excellent 'Wine Wednesday deal and had the fish and chips and the steak and ale pie. Very impressed with the thick piece of fish with a light golden batter the pie was full with lovely crusty pastry.

Totally ruined my granddaughter 16 birthday they had no way of lighting candles for cake what rubbish. Don't book for birthday parties .

Very large portions but on the whole a good pub meal.

Good was burnt and had a black hair in it. Staff were polite and offered refund. Will not be returning.

Sunday dinner was great but could have done with being a bit hotter... didn't take long for it to go cold.

Absolutely vile, I had jacket potato with cheese and beans, the potato itself was lovely and fluffy, there was a teaspoon of beans a very small sprinkle of cheese and my salad had a horrible dressing all over it so couldn't eat it, my partner had a bacon burger, (which would of feed a child) the bacon was the size of my thumb. Not enjoyable at all.
