The New Inn in South Staffordshire

Ten of us went from a friendship group, only a couple of other people there, so no atmosphere. Ordered meals and Drinks, one was even asked if they wanted egg or pineapple with their gammon. The meals were nice and hot but not what we ordered. No eggs, no tomatoes, no peas. Everything was substituted by tomatoless salad, not even an egg and was substituted with the pineapple which had been offered. I asked what real ale have you got. Only Banks Bitter which I had, it tasted like vinegar which they had back and with nothing else to drink. Did not want anything else but was not offered a refund. We were on a recce for our Christmas dinner, but will give this one a miss. NB Not all the meals are listed for me to include in the post

Very nice Sunday roast would recommend highly staff really friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you very clean and tidy and smells fresh

Haven't been a long time due to a bad experience with food. Got to say we've had a lovely meal. Kids meals were much bigger than expected and delicious. Food came out quickly and by the chef. Who was lovely and polite. The young behind the bar was pleasant friendly and helpful. Garden is lovely with bouncy castle and kids loved it. Definitely be back.

I went with friends and family, We had a lovely afternoon, atmosphere was amazing the staff were very polite and very helpful, prices are amazing. The pub is child friendly they had a bouncy castle outside, a play area for the children to play along with garden games. You don't find many child friendly pubs any more and this place was amazing for the children to play whilst us adults relaxed. The food is absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend taking a visit! You won't be disappointed! Thank you for an amazing afternoon :)

Was traveling to see friends and kids were hungry so we stopped for a spot of lunch was delicious and the kids didn’t want to leave! There is a beautiful park and even a bouncy castle in the garden food was delicious staff where welcoming and friendly fantastic value for money you definitely need to try this place for lunch! Thank you for a wonderful lunch and play for the children!

Amazing pub, food was delicious! Perfect amount to fill you up, staff are very friendly and talkative. Kids really enjoyed them selves out in the garden with the bouncy castle and park! Kids meals were massive and very nice! Didn’t leave a thing! Also reasonably priced! Will definitely be coming back again! The kids loves the family fun day and love the outdoor park and bouncy cancel

Went here for the first time with the grandchildren great play area for the kids also had a free bouncy castle. Ordered food came real quick and was lovely, highly recommend the fish it was delicious. The kids had the burgers and they said these are the best nanny lol. Bar staff and management was very welcoming and pleasant will definitely go there again .

Been in the new inn after its being taken over its a fantastic atmosphere the staff are very welcoming and chatty the food is alot better then what it has been previously can't wait to come back and try the pub for the England game tomorrow the atmosphere is great

Absolutely love the place the new management are brilliant always have a smile on there face go above and beyond for anyone. The food is always good never had a bad meal.

We wanted to support the new manager but were ignored and the bar maid was swearing.It was obvious she didn't want to serve us.Itupset us so we won't return,so sad as we were really hoping it had changed for the better.

first time at the New Inn, and it was a warm welcome by the new owner. The atmosphere was great, there was a few families in with their children, and it was a lovely relaxed environment. Food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. i will be returning.

Came here Tuesday night never been here before had a pint of fosters larger I noticed a strange taste to it and it was very dark I would suggest either the pipes want cleaning or the beer was off I did not drink it after the second sip

The meals were perfect! Steak was tender, Gammon exquisite, fish mouthwatering. Puddings were to die for. The staff were friendly and attentive. They were also very patient, we have dietary requirements and allergies. Jaime has my sense of humour. Can't wait to revisit.

Clean your pipes out please. Popped in for a quick drink after a long walk. Birra morretti and San Miguel tasted horrible.

It was really good food and the manager was really nice and she is new. The only complaint is that the vegetables were a bit hard.

Honestly the most welcoming, happy to help and funny staff members. The pub is clean and well locked after since the new manager Emma has took over, and the beer taste so much better !!! Deffo would recommend for a chilled drink at the weekend

Lovely food and very pleasant staff.

Staff have a bad attitude and unhelpful when my child his finger dislocated at the pub by another customers child. Bar staff intimidating when approached over the incident and I was told not to involve the police also pub is a well known for drugs on the grounds

Staff were brilliant from the minute we walked in. They were all polite and nothing was too much too trouble. We were a large party and they accommodated us well. Food was great. Will definitely recommend and will be going back again!!

The staff you’re very friendly and accommodating as there were 18 of us. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was really nice and presented well. Will be going there again.

Popped in for a bite to eat, usually pop in once a week for a dinner,but drink here 2/3 times a week. Always had good service from staff inc james the chef food although pub food is well presented and never a bad meal. On very few occasions trouble has occurred that gaffers Micheal and gav or emma deal with immediately in a passive way no banning or threatening like last owners,really safe and laid back pub now. Can only recommend the pub now, it's safe for adults and kids alike.... thankyou.

Came here for a bite to eat and what can I say the food was absolutely beautiful was top service from start to finish would highly recommend to any one 👍

We came here with family and the bar staff Michael took our order. He got our order spot on and the food came out remarkably quickly and it was amazing. Micheal was on his break and still came to the bar to serve us which we thought was quite good. Overall an amazing experience definitely will be coming back here again.

This is the best pub going in wombourne, the bar staff are friendly and welcoming and always willing to serve you even if they are on their break they will get up and serve you so you aren't waiting, The food was spot on and always welcomes pets, the staff and other punters welcomed my little beauty. Great entertainment and great staff everyone should go here at least once.

We are 4 men that visit once a month & after months of uncertainty we visited on 29/06/23. just for our usual get together. We'll be looking for somewhere else as from now. We spend about £100 in there which on a week night is good for any pub from only 4 people. The place is a dump now & it seems they're letting the totally wrong people in.. on our visit we saw people off the street walking to & from the toilets & up to no good. A large family took up the middle of the pub & young lad's by pool table. 2 of our party live in wombourne & said some of them had already been banned from another local. Loud music coming through speakers at this family request & a schoolgirl constantly squeeling so we were going to go elsewhere but the weather meant we had to stay. Trying to make the best of the last hour we witnessed more coming & going to the toilets + some of the men running down the street to fight & 3 police cars arriving with officers entering the pub. A very uncomfortable evening indeed. whoever the new landlords are they certainly need to sort this out cus in my opinion the second you let customer's dictate & do what they want you're going downhill. We noticed that some people we used to see on a wed night weren't in there so looks like they've gone as well. We do like this pub but not the people that are now seemingly regulars. The bar person/s are far to weak & didn't say a word & seemingly frightened of them. Police being called to your licenced premises is not a good advertisement. Be shocked if this place is still open by Xmas & that's a shame..unless the new landlord can turn this around I fear the worst. Nobody should feel uncomfortable whilst having a drink with friends so we are looking to go elsewhere for our meet ups & I'm sure they'll welcome us as we do spend a few quid..

the outside area could do with some work the food was good though and friendly staff, although one of their kids was climbing on tables and trying to break stuff 😕

Cannot praise this pub enough since Alex and Daniel have took it over. Never used to use it before because wasn't very nice but since they have come they have made it such a family friendly pub and always feel relaxed here. Well done lads, please stay for good xxxx Denise Perkins

Fabulous service fantastic manager and staff. Decorated table for Christmas just for us. So friendly and welcoming. Music was excellent

Food was pretty average, steak was a bit chewy but the chips were pretty decent. I ordered extra "famous sauce" for the steak but was not given any and was ignored after I went to ask for it. If it wasn't for that I would have given 3.5 stars. Table was also a bit sticky from spillage.

Had a fantastic meal at the New Inn today with my husband it's been a long time since we have been and it has improved so much 😃 It so clean and tidy, welcoming staff, who offer help and a friendly chat, and their chef 'James' is fantastic.( Best burgers ever😁) We even booked in for Christmas 🎅⛄😂 The menu is varied and is reasonably priced and the food is great🤗. There's plenty of parking and the pub is clean and tidy with a large beer garden with a park and seating out front . I we will definitely be returning.😃

We held a meeting here, Dan and Alex were very accommodating, the atmosphere was great, felt very relaxed and not rushed. Thank you guys, we will be back again! I will also bring my girls in for a meal soon.

Lovely food, relaxing evening, we were a party of 15, every one was eating their meal's at the same time, no one had to wait, friendly staff, and service with a smile.👍

Thought we'd give it a try as we heard there are new owners. I have to say the place looked a lot cleaner and more welcoming than the last time we went in. The steak special on Thursday night was nicely cooked and presented , really good value.

Unacceptable experience. 30 minutes after placing an order manager informs us what we've ordered is unavailable. We placed another order. Recieved out starter 15 minutes later then another 30 minutes later a second member of staff then informs us that the alternative is now also unavailable! We were told that they didn't have a chef on the Monday and the manager was having to man the kitchen and delivery for food doesn't come on a Monday. Teething problem is under statement. We ordered a pie, fish and then a burger. Not sure what food they had. Another table was also let down with a basic order at the same time. Avoid if possible. Also the pub smelt like urine and tables were sticky

Amazing pub brilliant managers tasty food and brilliant atmosphere. Managers can't do enough for you so kind and friendly. All the staff are friendly happy to answer any questions about food and drink and anything they didn't know they asked the relevant people. Amazing will be going again..... and again.

Went into The New inns yesterday with my kids for a meal, straight away the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, upon approaching the staff they was very polite and helpful. The food was served in good time and was absolutely amazing with no faults. Will be definitely going back there again with family and friends would highly recommend everyone to come in and try it for yourselves 😍

The new inns since being took over by the new management has been a pleasure to spend time at. The staff are super friendly and attentive. And the food was great!!

Fabulous evening at New Inn. Good food and great value too. There is really friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. Got chatting to some regulars who were saying what a great place it had become since Alex and Dan took over. We are planning our next visit.
