mad a last minute call to see if we could book in for lunch. got a table in bar area and looked after very well. a couple of prompts for salt and pepper and for a second drink was not a problem and sorted immediately. Food served quickly, piping hot and very good quality will be returning

Good beer, lovely pub food, cant ask for more. Dog friendly bar area as well.

Great food as always. Unfortunately, had to wait for cutlery before we could tuck in again.I find this irritating and happens a lot . If they know you have ordered food ,please bring the cutlery while it is being cooked so that it's not sitting in front of the customer, getting cold while we have to wait for something to eat it with!!

The food and beer were both absolutely fantastic but the service was absolutely shocking. Edit:- we dined on the evening of the 12th October.

The food is excellent, beer is also excellent and the pub is very friendly.

We hadn't booked, but we got a table for two. We shared a Scotch egg starter that was very nice with a crispy shell. The Caesar salad and Lamb Kofti were nice and filling. Staff were very friendly.

Sorry, but food was not good ☹️ Fish finger baguette with salad was ok (although there were only 2 battered fish fingers in total) but the mushroom and pea risotto was very poor. Could barely see the mushrooms and one measly slice of garlic bread small portion too, overpriced for sure. We will not be eating in here again. We would have a drink as the Butty Bach was excellent.

We love this pub ,we have been coming for several years. I'm sad to say that recently the service has not been great . We order food and it is not until the food is delivered that the staff realise that we need cutlery etc . Previously, cutlery was brought prior to food ,now ,we are sitting with our food in front of us ,going cold , while waiting for utensils before being able to eat . Big disappointment I am afraid. Also,food is not as good as it once was . Sorry, but that's the truth .

Lovely food , excellent selection of beers,ciders 5⭐

First visit and I loved it. Our food was delicious ( My steak was perfection!) Atmosphere was so welcoming and inviting. Gorgeous building, beautiful outdoor seating area. And dog friendly too! A true Gem and not too expensive either. The steak was the most expensive item in the menu and that was £22. I will definitely be back to try the other menu items - including the huge caesar salad, the chicken wings with blue cheese and the lamb koftas.

Lovely setting on a warm day. Cater really well for dogs. Nice lunch. But, crikey what awful coffee!!

Left dissapointed, planned to eat at the cat and had rang ahead to confirm time serving food. Was told until 830, arrived at 8 and picked up a menu on the bar and told the kitchen closed.

Poor quality ingredients have ruined this as a destination for a nice lunch out. Shame. Coffee still nasty.

This pub have a number of well-kept local ales. A real find.

Had an awful meal last night at the cat, had to have a rump steak, as apparently they had no sirloin, even though there was a sirloin baguette. I was assured that the steak would be nice, it was so tough it was inedible, i was asked if the steak was ok I told them the truth and that did not go down very well with the staff at all. They also did not see fit to give me a reduction in the cost, I paid the full price which was £18. I will not go back to the cat, but I would imagine that won’t worry the staff and owners of the cat.

Im gutted, I’ve always loved The Cat but my meal tonight was such a let down. We were seated but without menus, had to get our own (sounds like a small thing but they always bring your menus over so this was weird) The starter wasn’t great, supermarket antipasti decanted onto a slate and the blue cheese dip for the chicken wings was awful. The fish and chips were great but the portion of mussels was really mean (15 mussels) and the bread that came with was a third of one of those par baked cheap baguettes. No butter. We weren’t offered dessert. When we tried to pay the bar staff didn’t acknowledge us for 5 minutes. When they did I saw them continue texting before actually putting the details of our table onto the till It was just poor and really let them down, and I won’t be going there again. As a final note, I never leave mean reviews, this just really upset me. I paid in full. But I just won’t return.

Just returned from a lovely evening at the Cat. Nice food, value for money, great service and good beer!! Can recommend the fish pie.

Parked easily enough. Welcome was friendly enough, no diet coke post mix syrup not an issue really but more apology could have been made. Lunch menu was okay. Nothing more. Ordered the fish finger baguette, was not expecting one of those cheap bake at home baguettes filled with birds fish fingers, menu mentioned tartar sauce alas there was none in sight. The sandwich was very thrown together. Chips okay but lacked any salt and we're a bit soggy. Overall, the meal was just okay. That's really all I can say for it. Bang average.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Lunch for Mother’s Day. Service was very attentive and swift and the food was beautifully cooked. An excellent way to spend a rainy Mother’s Day Sunday in comfortable and cosy surroundings.

Fast service but enough time given to get a drink and settle down with a chat with friends and family all our meals came together. Friendly staff. food delicious steak pie was so nice and full of tender beef. haddock was also nice we have taken a few of our friends and. Family in the last few month's and all enjoyed theirs . Today took my Daughter Granddaughter and her little children. My Daughter liked the cosy pub so much she has booked for her Birthday in December for about 17 people. I would recommend this lovely pub to anyone.

Called in on way home when looking for somewhere to eat. Unfortunately a sign outside showed meals were not being served until 3 days later. Glad that did not deter us from going inside anyway. Although the inside looks like it has been opened up it has been done sympathetically. Lots of room for groups, couples or single folk. Very comfortable and clean. Apparently popular with walkers and those with dogs too. Staff were tidy, cheerful and attentive. Service was very good. Local cask beers available were excellently kept and served. A real pleasure to stay there. Will have return to see if the food is as good as folk there were saying.

Been going here for number of years, always had good service and food and the beer has always been well kept. Unfortunately our latest visit was the other end of the scale. My question (as it was when there) is it under new management or are the ‘normal staff’ on holiday.

A cosy traditional warm pub. Happy to accommodate a large group of walkers moving chairs around. Large carpark nearby.

Went to this pub waited a hour for food when it arrived it was cold my missis was ill had to take a few day s off work ....ill be getting the loss off earning s back with a claim ...when i complained about the food the person i spoke to rolled his eyes at me very rude ...the worst expierence ever the worst pub in stourbridge -enville

Visited our favourite place tonight. My partner and I had a beautiful meal. Cooked perfectly. We also had deserts. Food was all absolutely amazing. Staff are always friendly and happy to help. Definitely recommend :)

This is a fantastic country pub in the middle of Enville. Great staff, fantastic atmosphere with a huge selection of well kept beer. I fully recommend the Enville Gothic and the faggots off the menu.

I’ve been desperate to try this venue but never made it until today - it did not disappoint. Warm welcome, excellent service and delicious food. It would have been even better if there was more vegetarian choices available but the one I had was fantastic.

I can not rate this fabulous country pub enough. Dan and Aimee and their team have recently gone above and beyond for my moms 80th lunch. There was a mix-up with the dates, and we turned up a day early (my fault) The whole team sprang into action and accommodated 18 of us on the Saturday before Christmas The food was amazing, and the staff could do enough for us Excellent value for money

What a great place to visit. Lovely management and venue with food to match. Ale is always top notch aswell. Also. Great friendly place to bring the hound to boot.

Sadly its an Awful place! Absolutely awful! Landlady (if she can be called a lady) is so rude and screams at you for writing a truthful review the month before about getting forgotten with our meals and then barred me for that reason. I went back to give them a second chance for their shandy (not their microwaved food) and she started to abuse me for my truthful review. You will wait ages to get served at the bar. Order Sunday lunch and they forget you (id advise wearing a high visibility vest)and serve everybody around you. Check it out for yourself and you will see.

Please reconsider a better venue - Went their with my diabetic partner and sat for over 45 mins waiting for Sunday lunch. Even going back to the bar area for another drink whist waiting. They served all people around us who arrived after us Sunday lunch and consequently forgot us. I popped into The Cat last evening for just a shandy (was never going to order food again after that experience) but was giving it another chance as friends drink in there. I was then screamed at by the unprofessional landlady who appeared to be intoxicated or other for putting a truthful review on The Cat site about being forgotten and she barred us and deleted my review. Consequently I was then manhandled by two local males drinking in their when I tried to ring the police and leave by the entrance where my car was. My phone was knocked out of my hand. We are not the only people to have received this awful experience here. Not a safe place and definitely not a place to eat sadly.

Had a party for 38 people in there upstairs room in one word it was awful. Called in The week before they assured us it would be warm, the room only has a couple of radiators on one side of the room and it was freezing most people sat in there coats all night. Staff kept leaving the doors open to the court yard despite keep asking for them to close them. Had to go down stairs to the toilets across the outside courtyard. As for the food that also was awful and also a poor choice, Over priced. and Sub standard for a set menu. Couldn't wait to leave, when asked the management about it being really cold she said it was because is was an old building no excuse Wont be returning

Food was ok nothing special. But we were advised they were locking toilets if we needed to go. Then asked if we wanted a pudding. At that we said no asked for bill as felt we needed to leave.

Lovely pub, attentive staff. Cosy, friendly & reasonably priced. We shared the wild boar starter and each had a main with a lime & soda £32. Home made bespoke menu that ticks lots of boxes. Had a large Pinot £5.25 which is very good value. Dog friendly lots of seating areas and huge parking lot to the rear of the pub. Highly recommend

First visit, seems very popular. Good parking, pleasant indoors and nice outdoor space. Stocks real ales and cooks up pretty decent pub grub. Very pleasant and friendly staff offering excellent service.

Food is not as stated (homemade) all brought in frozen and reheated, will never visit here again definitely not worth it if your looking for somewhere to eat.. try the roe deer not far up the road all fresh food for better prices. And nicer...

Lovely food, served really quickly & roasting hot. I had Lasagna, chips, garlic bread & gorgeous fresh salad. Very large plate of food & if I ordered again I'd refuse the chips. My partner had faggots, chip & mushy peas....bostin meal & highly recommended.

Forget all these larger drinks and have a man's drink a pint of enville and you never drink piss water again nice welcoming pub great staff and exceptional ale's.

Great pub, we always pop in here if we are in the area. Enville ales on tap all of which are good. Haven't tried the food so I can't comment on that.

Superb selection of real ales on cask and a good menu of pub classics. The steak and ale gets top billing on the menu and for good reason - in fact, it's the reason we love going there!

This is a lovely pub, it was buzzing with life, lovely menu and the meal was lovely but did have a long wait for the order to be taken and for the meals to arrive, we would definitely go to the cat pub again.

I went here with my girlfriend last week for lunch. As we left the bar to be seated for lunch. My girlfriend tripped up a step, going flying, much to the amusement of the bar staff. They saw that everything was ok, even topped up her drink. With one of the bar staff going on to say that it happens at least once a week. Surely, if this is the case, measures should be in place to prevent this from happening again. I can only presume that score cards are used to rate the best falls. Bruising was quite severe to the arms & knees, as It was a hard fall onto a wooden floor. We shall go there again to see if the H.S.E has acted upon it after we spoke with them. A step through a doorway is a hazard not to be ignored.

Best Enville ale anywhere I’ve been. Always fresh. The brewery is only a couple of miles away after all. Food is excellent if a little expensive. Highly recommended.

My Wife and I have mobility issues. No Blue badge parking and a minimum 30 meter (100ft) level walk to the pub entrance. One inside very welcoming with excellent service and good food, would recommend.

Always liked this place but my other half likes his real ales and of late the beer hasn't been up to much 😞😞

Fabulous little pub, came last week for a drink and decided to give it a try for dinner after seeing everyone else around us! Sat outside on the patio in the sunshine - great that they've got a little hatch to order food and drinks...

I only had a couple of pints which were good,tried a taster of the ginger ale ,sorry not my cuppa tea, a friend tried a plate of summat,looked tasty. Great pub though.

We loved our visit to the Cat. A lovely outdoor terrace (and even an outdoor ordering hatch, making it very easy for those still being Covid cautious). Drinks include very nice beer from a local micro-brewery, and the food was really good. Couldn’t resist taking...

Only had drinks so can't comment on the food. But enjoyed a couple of pints of Enville Ginger in the sunny outdoors.

It was close to closing time. We just had a drink. It is a lovely pub. Food good. Nice setting. Very popular. Worth a visit.
