Los nuevos gerentes, Mike y Tina, están trabajando duro para reconstruir el negocio. Son amables y atentos con sus clientes. Cuatro cenamos ayer. Todos elegimos diferentes comidas: pastel, pescado, pizza y pasta y todos disfrutamos de nuestra comida. El pastel casero era particularmente bueno. ¡Las patatas fritas fueron las mejores patatas fritas que he tenido en un pub! Pregunté cómo se hacían... ¡pero es un secreto! Los postres no eran según el menú impreso, pero todos eran caseros y muy agradables. Elegimos la torte de chocolate (x 3 ) y la tarta de queso de frambuesa y chocolate blanco. ¡Todos comimos cada migaja! ¡Regresaremos!

Under new management, and so far I'm positively impressed. Nice atmosphere, good drink selection, friendly staff. I'm looking forward to trying the food as restaurant seams to be always busy

Such a shame, poor food, luke warm, undercooked & not at all cheesy cauliflower cheese, tiny Yorkshire pudding which was obviously pre-packed, sorry awful quality overpriced food ! I mentioned to the waitress (as she’d asked if everything was OK) & it clearly wasn’t, that it wasn’t very warm & said perhaps you need a better chef. The new landlady came over & offered us free deserts, which was extremely nice of her, we insisted we didn’t want that but were just being honest & giving constructive criticism & we didn’t want anything free. Wish we’d accepted her offer though after as the deserts were again awful, we had 2 Eaton messes, which had no fresh fruit in or meringue ? And an Ice cream Sunday with no Sunday ?? It was 3 lonely balls of ice cream in a small bowl ??? Basically ice cream on a Sunday ! This place has struggled for years ! The new owners should seriously go & check out their local & frankly amazing competitors like The Wheel & The Fox to name just 2. Locally we have some great restaurants & sadly The pigot is not one of them. This will sound brutal but please get a new chef or lose your customers yet again ! Sorry but this meal was really shocking & hugely overpriced. The Wheel do the most amazing small Sunday Roast (home made in full) for £9 & it’s amazing every time. We desperately wanted this meal to be amazing & sadly it was far from it.

Hermoso pub de aspecto en un lugar tranquilo encantador. El personal de servicio era realmente encantador y servicial. Nos dieron un tazón de aceitunas de cortesía después de pedir comida que era un toque encantador. En el lado negativo - esperamos más de una hora para nuestra comida, a pesar de que el pub es bastante tranquilo. Cuando preguntamos por el tiempo de espera nos dijeron que la chef era nueva y por su cuenta y no pasaría mucho tiempo. Teníamos a nuestra hija de 1 año con nosotros, así que obviamente estaba un poco harta en este punto - no nos preguntaron si queríamos su comida con los entrantes. Cuando llegó la comida los bebés comida estaba completamente mal - el servidor se ofreció a volver con el orden correcto, pero en este punto habíamos esperado tanto tiempo. A mi compañero no le dieron guisantes con su pescado y patatas fritas como se indica en el menú. Elegí el asado de cerdo. La carne no era de mi agrado - bastante graso. Las verduras parecían vegetales enlatados. El queso de coliflor soso e insípido. Qué pena.

El Pigot ha estado cerrado durante las últimas semanas y reabierto el jueves hace 2 días. Decidimos hacer una visita esta noche sábado para una copa y tal vez una comida si nos gustaba el ambiente. Al llegar notamos lo tranquilo que parecía. Pregunté qué amargos estaban sirviendo La respuesta fue no 😮 Agotado aparentemente a pesar de que recibieron una entrega más temprano en el día Quedamos boquiabiertos después de nuestra estancia de 2 minutos Un pub realmente decepcionante, una pena

Been living in Germany for the last 20 years. I come twice a year to see my Daughter who also lives in pattingham . I'm glad it has reopened recently as I was sad the last time I came beginning of the year . I always came there as a youngster and for me it's one of the best pup's around. I look forward to come in September for a good meal again.

Outside area could do with tidying up a bit, but all ln all very nice🙂

No lo había estado desde el cambio de propietario. Decepcionado ya que la comida no era ni de lejos tan bueno como mis visitas anteriores. La comida era agradable pero no excepcional. Siempre he hecho un viaje especial para usar este pub para los asados de domingo, pero me gustaría ir a otro lugar más local para mí. No vale la pena salir. El personal era muy amable, sin embargo, y el servicio era bueno, pero simplemente no podía estar a la altura de la experiencia única de asados adicionales, yorkshires y salsa por la que solía ser bien conocido.

Such a shame, has so much potential. Live in the village and used now and again, so, when we had no kitchen for a while what more of an excuse was needed, went twice for food, never again until changes are made. Food poor to mediocre at best, always under cooked and a bit on the pricey side compared to others locally. Both my wife and I had bad stomachs following our last visit. Please change the cook and menu. July 2024.

We popped in at the last minute and both fancied the fish and chips with mushy peas. Wow! Firstly it was a huge portion, but all of it was delicious. The fish was gorgeous and the chips were chunky and very tasty. There was also a very generous portion of mushy peas and also tartare sauce. We'll definitely pop in again.

A nice place In a nice location let down by it's food, the service was wonderful however, taking the uneaten meals of the bill with no hesitation. Nice beer 😋🍻

Dreadful experience. The mains menu is short and our choice was further limited by the fact we were told that the restaurant had no mash and no jacket potatoes that day. We were gobsmacked. It removed half the choice on the menu! We persevered and the meal when it came was fine. The dessert menu was very limited and when my colleague chose theirs, the barman was forced to come back to say they had none of that choice either ! The place was empty and little wonder. Whoever is in charge of stocks and supplies in the kitchen seriously needs to up their game. The only decent things about the place is that it was clean and the barman very pleasant. Wouldn't recommend eating there though.

Lovely food and beer, definitely will be returning but on the bus next time so I can sample more of the ales

We had our Christmas lunch here, eating out for the first time in 10 years. We were beyond impressed, the cost was so reasonable and the food was lovely. The pub atmosphere was great too 👍

Brand new review. This place is under new management and it shows. Great bar service that is efficient and cheerful. Good food at reasonable prices and a really nice atmosphere. A bit quiet at the moment but I'm sure that will change.

The baguettes cost nearly £9 and I would liken them to no bigger than a bread roll. No music. No atmosphere

Very poor food. This pub has recently reopened after a change of management. Service was good but food is cheap and poor quality. There was no steak available nor garden peas on the evening in question. Considering there is a Co-op next door it would not have been difficult to source some frozen peas.

First visit since reopening. Waitress v pleasant. Handed us a tatty and stained paper menu. Then told us 3 things were not available. Meal average at best. Only two tables taken and not surprised. Seriously needs to up its game.

I have used this venue previously and been generally satisfied but I found this visit disappointing. The Pigot has recently reopened after being closed for building work and renovation and they have certainly not got back to the previous standard. Of our group of five, 3 felt that their meals were poor in quality and presentation. one OK and the fifth good. One person had part of their main changed (new potatoes substituted with what she considered a mound of indifferent mashed potato) and would have ordered something different if she had known before the meal arrived. Service was slow, particularly between starters and mains. The staff seemed very sparse with just two serving in the bar and and quite a large restaurant area which didn't help..

First time eating in there. Nice food. Staff very friendly. Was there because of play in The Village Hall. Not near to where I live but will travel again.

Terrible food. Waited an hour for the food. The bar staff very rudely said what do you expect for your money. No matter how much you pay it should be edible. The presentation was disgusting just put on the plate any how . Never again after being spoken to like that. VERY RUDE.

Visited on the first day of the Scarecrow Festival, which was also the first day the Pigot Arms reopened after a refurb/change of management. On the plus side, it was spotless clean with lots of comfy chairs. Dogs are welcome in the bar areas and visiting dogs were offered a dog treat. We didn't order food, but the menu choices look very good and the prices reasonable. There did seem to be some teething problems - many people had apparently been waiting some considerable time for food. I asked about coffee: the gentleman who served me merely said "Americano" - I had to ask about other choices. After I said I'd like a latte, he disappeared (presumably into the kitchen) without asking if there was anything else I'd like (and there was!) After some time he reappeared and said that the coffee would be a few minutes - I was then able to complete my order. The coffee and beer was good (although for an opening day I was rather amazed that there were no ready salted crisps! Surely they hadn't sold out?) and we decided to have another beer and another latte. Again the coffee was good, but it was cappuccino rather than latte. We didn't complain, but it wasn't what was ordered, Hpefully these were all teething problems, and we may well visit again next time we're in the village. Oh, one final gripe - there really should be a mirror above the handbasin in the ladies' loo!

We went at lunchtime during the scarecrow festival. It opens at 12 and it was relatively quiet when we went in. We placed our order by 12:08. We had 2 main meals, 2 children meals and 2 sides. We waited 45 mins for food, of which 1 main and 1 side was missing. Then we waited another 10 mins for the main, which we asked for 3 times, then another 10mins for the remaining side, which by the time we’d received it most people had finished their meal. During this time many other people were asking where their food was and one family cancelled their meal and left. I’m not sure why there was the delay but staff didn’t seem organised considering it was going to be busy day! I gave my review 2/5 rather than 1 because the food (by the time it came) was lovely and the staff were all friendly despite the grumpy hungry customers!!

We were met in the dining room by a rather brusque waiter, who informed us we'd have to wait in the bar whilst he checked table availability. He never returned to inform us so we ordered our lunch to eat in the bar. We waited 50 mins before our meals arrived, and then one meal was missing along with a side order. I complained to a different waiter who said he'd "sort it" but I still had to go and ask him again where the side order was. Whilst we were waiting, a couple cancelled their lunch order and left! Disappointing to say the least.

Loveley place, lovely food, lovely people only issue was there was a lot of flies inside an this has seemed to be the case every time we have visited its not very good fighting flies for your food lol

Quite disappointed, went on spec as we couldn't pre-book as we were unsure what time a graduation would finish and how the traffic congestion would hamper the journey so when we arrived home I made a phone call only to listen a pre recorded message that bookings were no longer being taken ,but if we wanted to try on spec we could take a chance on availability. We chose to do that but when we arrived at 7.30 pm we were advised the kitchen had closed at 7pm,felt this was rather early so travelled to another pub 10 mins away and was warmly welcomed and served some tasty grub I understand staffing costs and fuel issues can be a problem but to close a kitchen at 7pm is way to early.

Average all round. Food was ok, but chips were a little cold. All day breakfast had no hash brown but they wouldn't substitute it for an extra egg!

Went mid afternoon on a sunny Sunday. Oldfield's cider is no longer available, apparently they don't sell enough of it. Seems bonkers to take it off when we have lovely warm weather. Our salads were very nice. Puddings - one dessert wasn't available. The other was supposed to be an Eton Mess, it arrived with no meringue. We queried the missing meringue, all we got was a shrug and 'oh well'. Fully aware that temporary staff are running it at the moment, but their attitude is not endearing. It will be sometime before we wander up to the Pigot again.

Fantastic Sunday lunch at a brilliant pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and I can't say enough about the food, absolutely beautiful. Half way through our meal we got asked if we would like more yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy. Large car park at the rear and very reasonable price. We will certainly be back again.

Family visit at lunchtime. Very reasonably priced lunch menu. We ordered two burger meals and a steak wrap. One burger meal was ordered with sweet potato fries. Very welcoming staff throughout our visit. Food arrived promptly and we all thought it was tasty. Definitely a match to the food we eat in other pubs. Will definitely return.

This is a lovely bar with friendly staff and set in a beautiful location, the beer garden is perfect for the summer!

Definition of cheap and cheerful. Good value for money, typical pub food. £6 burger at lunch time really hit the spot- topped off with a decently priced pint. Nice selection on kids emerald. Would recommend, would definitely return.

After meny years I revisit the Pigot arms back in the day me and my mates used to go there on a Saturday night when they had discos the place still looks very nice had fish and chips there it was really nice well presented the one bar staff I got talking to was friendly I told her I came here years ago she said her mom told her about the good times here so if you want a nice place to go I recommend the Pigot Arms 😀👍👍👍👍

I sent this complaint in 10 days ago and got no response from the pub or their head office so I thought I would share with you all. We reserved a table for 18 people at the Pigot Arms Pattingham for Sunday 2nd April for my Dads birthday.  We pre-ordered our food at least a week in advance with one more person added onto the booking on the day to make it 19 and they ordered on arrival.  The table was booked for 1pm and we did arrive on time.  We were shown to the table around 1.25pm and waited for our food to arrive.  At approximately 2.00pm the food started to arrive in dribs and drabs with the final meal being served at 2.45pm.  Most of the meals were from the roast menu, however they were served with little gravy making them very dry.   We did ask for more gravy and were told that it would be brought around when the rest of the meals came out, sadly that never happened. At approximately 2.30pm the lady was still bringing the meals out and asked if we had everything, we said no we had two meals missing.  She said she would get them, we waited a further 15 minutes, so all in all from start to finish it took about 45 minutes for all the meals to arrive.  We never received the extra gravy for the meals neither did they come round with the extra roasts and Yorkshire puddings that is advertised on the menu. I complained to the manager she said she wouldn’t charge for the 2 meals they forgot about and when I complained about my aunts roast who didn’t actually eat it as she was waiting for the gravy and the food went cold she said she wouldn’t charge for that one either.  When I asked what had happened the manager said because we had ordered through the portal, they couldn’t see the pre order, with her only response being “all I can do is apologise” but at no point did she actually apologise and say the word sorry.  This was a very important  birthday meal for my Dad as we nearly lost him after an accident new year and it was also celebration of his recovery.   The poor service did cast a shadow over the day and upset my dad.  I feel the quality of service was shocking and the manager took no ownership of any of the issues and had no intention of resolving anything on the day and was very dismissive and just kept on saying “all I can do is apologise.” 

Yesterday I went out to have lunch with some colleagues of mine after some long hours of travel, we arrived there and at the time there was no bottled water, still or sparkling, so we just had some juice. While ordering starters only 2 out of the 5 options were available. For the main meal, many of us wanted to order the ribeye, however there was only 5 pieces available so we opted for the rump steak. We all asked for them to be medium to well but they arrived more than well, almost burnt, we weren’t even able to eat it. All three lasagnas were burnt at the bottom and the gammon was over cooked as well. To make things worse one of our colleagues left the restaurant without receiving his order. We arrived at the restaurant at 1pm and left at 3:45pm because the service took so long. We were so disappointed that we even decided not to have desert Overall, if I could give zero stars I would.

As we've an Electric car and needed a top up to the battery the App Zap map suggested the Pigot Arms as the nearest charging point.A quick phone call later and we're on way from RAF Cosford.Well what a great decision great pub excellent staff a great pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord a favourite of mine.The food superb and prompt service.great to meet the Chef and praise him on his awesome gravy.

Since rhe previous manger had left the pub has lost all respect! Waiting over a hour and fifteen minutes for a meal and still waiting.. if the pub was heaving it would be half respectable. But it's quiet! I

Highly recommend. Dog and human friendly. Fab Sunday menu. There is plenty of parking, and a play park over the road for kids and dogs.

Had a recent visit to this pub and whist its "setting is stunning" in the middle of the village I was "appalled" to see the state of the Gents toilets (seemed damp wth stains running down the green walls) and the ladies was closed (and has apparently been for ages.) Such a shame when this could so easily be rectified.....

The ladies & Gents toilets are an absolute disgrace , Totally unusable, absolutely filthy . In total need of full refurbishment and a regular need of inspection. throughout the day,

Really good value food, Steak night could not be faulted one of the best I’ve had in a long time….needs a few £££ spending on the toilets.

Fantastic meal, great staff, order at bar, good value. Fish and chips as they should be crispy batter real cod. Everything cooked to perfection.

Came here for a family birthday. Lovely young man served us, I ordered the lasagne. Looked and tasted like a microwave meal, under done garlic bread with limp side salad. The outside of the pub looks nice but inside is a different matter, scruffy and chipped paint work and the ladies toilets were awful. My first and last visit sadly.

Today we had a lovely Sunday Roast , wow so much on our plates and they even came round with more roast potatoes and Yorkshires , VALUE for money . Staff were very friendly to.

Pigot has most appalling toilets in a pub I have ever seen, they smell of damp, plaster, paint and wallpaper falling of walls, smelly hardly any light prohably to cover up how dirty and disgusting they are, the ladies at lower end of building have...

Had a lovely afternoon tea here. Good selection of sandwich and wrap fillings and cakes. Amazing value.

Had lunch recently lovely food especially the vegan tart in beetroot pastry which was fabulous. Really nice lady working very hard in the restaurant although when we arrived the man standing behind the bar didn't acknowledge us which wasn't very welcoming other than that it was great.

Iv had 3 lovely Sunday lunches here now. Food is lovely, great size portions, chef even comes out of the kitchen with extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Lovely atmosphere, traditional interior. New bar staff are lovely and friendly. I Would recommend.

Nice atmosphere, good food and drink very reasonably priced.

Sunday roast was bland and everything had a hard texture. Vegetables were tasteless. Yorkshire pudding hard. Pie was hot but garlic flavour too overpowering in it. Roast potatoes were awful. Thought we would give the P A a go, had not been for years, disappointed, no better now in 2022. Apple pie was decent, waiter was friendly polite and hardworking.

Needs some interior repairs for water damage. More seating for non diners

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff but disappointed in the food. Had Sunday lunch. Lamb shank was dry and overcooked. Gravy was watery and vegetables very bland. Pigs in blankets were burnt and we paid separately for these. Shame because the pub itself it lovely

Popped in for something to eat tonight, decided on steak and oh my god it was the best we have ever had. It came nicely presented on the plate and tasted beautiful, didn't leave a thing. Followed by Rhubarb and plum crumble with custard my wife had fudge cake, scoffed the lot. We will definitely be back, great pub with great food thank you.
