So we left today before even trying food , the waitress was polite and nice but the full menu was not available. Plus the price of the drinks Was EXTORTIONATE 9 pound for a glass of warm what was supposed to be large wine no way was it , I have large glases all the time it definitely wasn’t . over 20 pound for a cider a wine and 2 j20s !!! The prices need to be looked at . My daughters glass was dirty so she didn’t touch it . We went elsewhere could be so much better

Thinking we was going to have a nice meal for mothers day at the wheatsheaf laney green my son ended up spending £110 for 4 adults and 1 child i can honnestly say it was the worse meal we have all eaten £20 for adults dinner £10 for childs dinner and it was discusting the beef was so tough it was like chewing on an old boot and dan had a chicken korma that we thought that was going to be nice and he only ate about 4 fork fulls and left the lot i.e chips keema nan rice and korma did not like the fact that it was a set menu it was either indian or dinner and both was horrible i will advise for nobody to go there as you will be very disapointed and find you have wasted your money

We stayed here for a one-night stopover and booked an electric hook-up. Unfortunately, the only available spot for the hook-up was in front of the newly installed EV chargers. This meant we ended up parking in front of some of them, which wasn’t ideal, as people kept coming to charge their cars (that’s what they are there for after all!) but they were very close to us indeed. The cost for the electric hook-up was £20 for the night, which felt a bit pricey, especially considering we had also booked a meal at the pub. However, the meal was delicious, and the staff were wonderful.

Food was very oily and nothing like what it says on the menu went to order a wrap and was told its only available till 5pm but don't say so on the menu so they should update the menu atmosphere is dead in there unfortunately there are 100% better bar and grill around the area cocktails are over priced for the size

Really good Indian food which was reasonably priced. Service was excellent and we were looked after. It was a Sunday evening so the atmosphere was quiet.

As an English restaurant it was always busy but since been taken over it is quieter. Service was good, could not fault it. Got all the normal promo talk about giving quality food but the reality was food was average. Eating out regularly have had alot tastier and quality food. Finally the heavy bill for the quality we got was not justified. Everyone in our party felt the same and everyone said that they will not be eating here again.

Popped in for a pint and was charged £2.50 for a packet of crisps and another £2.50 for a small bag of scratchings... Total rip off, was my local go to for food but not any more - avoid!

Called in here today (26th Feb) for a meal with my wife and my friend and his wife and could not have had a better experiance. The service was excellent and the waiter was freindly and helpful about the menu. The food was very, very good, delicious and tasteful and cooked to perfection. The place itself was nice and quiet so you could have a natter without trying to talk over loud music. Will definitely be going again and sorry I cannot give this place 6 stars.

My car's navigation took me here because of the charging points located in the car park. There was very little indication that parking had a payment requirement so I ended up with a £100 fine. Can't judge the place on the food etc, hence the 5* review, but if you're coming here to charge your vehicle, make sure you go inside and pay for parking.

Has got to be the best place to eat! Food was fantastic, staff were brilliant and nothing was too much for them. The new management, new look and menu outstanding!

Fuimos a una comida familiar el fin de semana que había sido reservado por algún tiempo. A pesar de estar sentado a las 4: 30 pm, nuestra comida tan esperada finalmente llegó a las 6 : 30 pm - hurra solo 2 horas de espera. Esto fue a pesar de que éramos las únicas personas en todo el restaurante e incluso con este caso, nos aplastaron en un pequeño y helado conservatorio frío, tal vez para hacer que el lugar se vea más atractivo... ¿No lo sé? La red estaba saliendo antes de los entrantes y la comida estaba casi tan caliente como una comida en microondas estando en 30 segundos. Las verduras y las patatas ni siquiera se lavaron antes de ser cocinadas, estoy hablando de patatas fangosas! Tostadores grises y fangosos... ¡YUMMY! Las papas fritas de halloumi estaban goteando en grasa, podría haber tomado un poco de vuelta para ayudar a cocinar el resto de la comida. (Costo de vida y todo eso). Mi compañero tenía una hamburguesa de ternera que dijo que era vil. Tenía el plato chispeante que era insípido y el pan naan estaba rancio y delgado. Esto suele ser mi elección, pero mi emoción cayó como la del pan naan. Las camareras hicieron todo lo posible para bendecirlos, eran muy agradables y solo jóvenes, el propietario sin embargo fue increíblemente grosero conmigo mismo y mi familia. Pregunté el costo de 3 refrescos que llegaron a £ 14 y fue recibido con grosería y agresión. Por supuesto, 2 bebidas eran recargables, pero no en ningún momento se hizo visible o se me dijo en el punto de pedido. Me hicieron sentir tonto por no saber que "obviamente eran rellenables". No words other than awful. Waitresses too focused on taking social media photos of food rather than serving customers that had been waiting over 60mins. Curry was bland. Warm at best. Argumentative staff. Refusing to provide extra portions of rice mid meal without a trip to the bar to pay. Drink prices. Well. Overpriced and poor quality. Cold unwelcoming environment. Would not recommend.

This place is absolutely awful. Went for a family meal at 4:30pm and I didn’t start eating until 6:45pm. When the food did eventually come, after spending £50 on it, was terrible. The burger fell to pieces as soon as it was picked up and was tasteless. The curry tasted like it was straight from the freezer aisle. The place was empty when we got there and literally could have it all to ourselves but instead they chose to seat 20 of us in the smallest conservatory area without any heating. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced at £6.50 a pint. Wouldn’t advise anybody to go here, especially in a large party because the one microwave obviously can’t cope with any more than 2 orders at a time. If I’d have paid half of what I did then I couldn’t really complain but at those prices it just isn’t justified at all. Parking was free though so that’s where the one star comes from

Visited here for a family birthday meal which had been booked for a period of time. When we arrived the pub was empty so plenty of room to seat us all. However the service was terrible. Mains coming out before the starters. Mains coming out at all different times. When I received mine it was warm and everybody else had finished their meals. When ordering at the bar what you got was never correct which resulted in going back up to the bar and met with attitude when I said you need to listen to your customers as this was the second order of mine that was incorrect. The waitress did their very best to please everyone however the owner needs a course on customer service. Very overpriced food and drinks.

Campervan stopover - rang to stop overnight (8.30pm - 28.1.25). The pub was closed (refurbishment), but spoke to Avo. He couldn't have been more helpful & stopping was permitted. So whilst the parkup was very quiet & cant comment on food/pub (due to being closed), lights, cameras& ANPR in place, added to feeling secure. No facilities available, but I'll be back to try again when reopens. Great place for stopping with easy M6 access.

We called to see if we could utilise the motorhome stopover en route from the South. We have stayed and eaten here over a year ago during a similar journey, but after looking at the recent reviews on Google and TripAdvisor since being taken over, we decided to give the food a HARD PASS and just asked to pay to use the carpark and electricity overnight. It's a shame the food reviews were dismal as we love a desi-pub and remember a few years ago it was very successful with great Indian food. If not ordering "food and drinks" owner wanted to charge £30 for the privilege of parking overnight next to the M6 motorway 😆🤭 In addition to that £30, he wanted to charge £20 for domestic electric hook up (EHU). I did try to ask the manager, how on earth was he estimating that cost and whether he knew the lawful stipulations about re-selling electric, but he says "it's an independent business we can charge what we like". Bless him. Instead we stayed at an motorhome aire (Park Gate Leisure in Penkridge) 10 minutes from The Wheatsheaf, £10 to stay and overlooking the canal boats, water, waste disposal and elsan point included in price. Electric only £4 which is fairly standard. And we got a takeaway. I'm not sure the new Wheatsheaf owners know what they're doing. That's two lots of business they lost out due to greed and incompetence.

Great food! Mains and bar snacks are amazing! Owner made us feel very welcoming and gave great recommendations on the food.

We planned on stopping here on our way from Wales to Derby just before and after Christmas. We were attracted by the Osprey EV charging station and planned to eat here. Sadly around midday on both days the bar and grill were closed. We used the charger anyway but were shocked to receive a parking fine on our return home. Not very friendly . Pity this could be a great place for travellers to stop. I think the owners should speak to the parking company monitoring their site and ask for the fine to be revoked. The fine has subsequently been revoked, I am pleased to tell you.

Why are The Wheatsheaf Inn Bar & Grill in Wolverhamton still ripping off EV drivers for using their public chargers? On the 17th December, following a 6 hour drive we used the chargers and then last week we received a £60 fine from Premier Park. Can I suggest that EV users find an alternative charging station around the Cannock area as you will be presented with a penalty charge for ‘using’ their car park as you charge @bbcwatchdog @which @moneysavingexpert BTW, there is no signage or QR code on the EV Chargers to explain how to input your vehicle registration number when the pub is closed and the gates open and the charges are available and working? EV vehicle owners being utterly ripped off by these people. This must be stopped and reported.

BEWARE - this venue is on the Electroverse Charging App as a public charging staion - however, it can only be used during the pubs opening times - avoid if the pub is closed. You will end up with a £60 parking fine. Whaetsheaf unwilling to help, in fact gave the impression they're working alongside the PCN company.

Honestly do not waste your money just been here for my Christmas dinner and my dog eats better food than this

We recently celebrated a birthday with a group of 9 adults and 7 children, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience left much to be desired. The venue itself is quite pleasant, though our large group was seated in the conservatory. While it was spacious, the layout made it difficult to move around, and you’d struggle to get to the restrooms once seated. Drinks were overpriced—£26 for a wine, cider, and 3 Cokes. I also ordered a glass of rosé but was instead served a white wine that tasted more like passion fruit and vinegar. The children’s meals were smaller than expected. While they didn’t mind the taste, they did comment on the portion size. In fact, the kids’ meals arrived 25 minutes before the adult starters, which we accepted given the size of our party. Then, things really started to unravel. Starters and mains arrived at different times, with some mains coming out before starters. One starter was even forgotten, and the staff insisted it wasn’t on the receipt, despite it clearly being listed. The quality of the food was disappointing. The fish was watery and lacked flavor, while the burger was poorly constructed with nearly raw bacon. The Indian curry sauce tasted more like a packet mix (Mayflower-style) and was oddly full of cloves. When we pointed this out, the staff were dismissive and insisted we were mistaken. Additionally, the curry came with just one poppadom, despite expecting two per dish. The steak was a particular letdown—a thin, sad-looking cut that didn’t resemble any real steak. I wouldn't recommend it. The kids’ ice cream also had to be requested separately, and to top it off, they tried to take away beer glasses before the drinks were finished. Overall, this experience didn’t live up to expectations, we will not be returning.

Ordered a white Zinfandel on arrival and was bought white wine, sent this back and asked for what I ordered, was bought a different rose than what I had ordered. Questioned this and was told they had sold out of white Zinfandel, of which we were never advised. My partner ordered a madri which smelled and tasted like vinegar and was totally unpalatable. Ordered food and asked for both dishes to be either mild or medium, both were spicy. There was a chicken bone in the chicken fried rice and a huge lump of chicken skin. Bill was £75, definitely not worth it. The female waitress was clearly new and tired very hard to be helpful however male was not personable. Overall atmosphere was very poor, would not recommend.

Food average at best and quite expensive. Two meals were sent back for being cold in the end one of us lost her appetite and boxed it up to take home . Balti was ok tho but for an £80 pound spend on 4 meals I'd expect a lot better value for my money .

Stayed here a few times with our Motorhome for an overnight stopover, the guys are really friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome, we opted for the Indian menu, had an XL naan bread witn our curry, never seen a naan so big!!! Service was excellent, we’ll be staying again next time it on our route 10/10

Just spent an evening at The Wheatsheaf and had a fabulous time. Took the camper van, got EHU and a quiet corner of the car park to spend the night. The manager and staff were friendly and attentive all evening. The Indian mixed grill was amazing and the Morretti was great. Spent 4 hours in the place it was so chilled and friendly. 👍

They do an American and Indian menu. We had the Indian - was amazing 👏 really delicious, great spices (Korma was spicy, not like super hot, but if you are used to supermarket ones, it is hotter than that, but in the best way). Garlic nann was wonderful, fluffy with a little sweetness that paired with spices of the curries. Paneer was wonderful, creamy texture, perfect spices. Samosas were also great. Great prices. Service really lovely and attentive. Recommended

Very expensive £6 for boiled rice. The atmosphere is dead There's lots of other places around the area with better atmosphere for half the price. Food is nothing special for the prostate charge here I would expect gold plates The waitress was very friendly but the man was arrogant and rude

Previously visited in 2022 as an overnight stopover in our motorhome, needed to do the same this trip and found the business had changed hands and was now serving an Indian/American menu. The business is relatively new and trying hard to establish and build a reputation, our welcome was warm and friendly. The owner gave us a recommendation for a sharing Chicken dish that was really nicely spiced with real depth of flavour, it was served with orders of pilau rice and Garlic Naan to share that were full of flavour, the service was attentive and informative. We hadn’t expected to find what we did but were pleasantly surprised and left with full bellies due to the kilo of chicken used in the curry, we would not hesitate to visit again.

Travelling on the M6 we needed somewhere to park our motorhome overnight, previously used this pub in 2022 directly off J11, water and EHU available on request, car park is big enough to accommodate big vehicles, it can be found on Search for Sites. We ate in the restaurant off the Indian menu, we were unable to decide and the owner recommended a Chicken dish to share that was really tasty, nicely spiced with great depth of flavour, served with garlic Naan, service was attentive and friendly. Its a relatively new business and trying hard to establish and build a reputation, wouldn’t hesitate to use again

Disgraceful place, food was okay. Asked how much a bottle of wine was, he told us between £15 And £20 but on the bill it was £26. When we was served for our dessert they brought out 2 of the 3 ordered so I sat and waited for mine, when I asked where mine was he said they had ran out of what I wanted, too late to re order as everyone else had finished theirs. Then the cost at the end was way more than the food was worth. The waitress was lovely though, I think she might want to find a better place to work.

This place is pure robbery and they know it! It was completely empty and I'm guessing we're the last ones to find out about it. The food is bog standard, straight out of a packet, it's tasteless and terribly over priced. We were actually shocked when we found out the total bill amount, on top of that, there's a 12% service charge!? Madness. On the plus side, the building itself has so much potential and with it being so close to Hollybush garden center, with the right management and presentation, it could be great but what we visited was unacceptable. Regardless of whether or not you had to shut because you couldn't afford the bills, you don't reopen and choose to over charge people. I can't imagine there are many folks that have been here and choose to return but if you do decide to go here, order carefully and check your bill!

Don't understand some of the reviews on here. Pub was just opening when we arrived. Really great welcome, food was really enjoyable and didn't have to wait long. Chicago chop suey and Red Velvet Cake were great. No service charge was asked for or added to the bill until I requested it to be added. Service and food were excellent. Will definitely go again.

This is a brilliant pub, we arrived in our campervan on a rainy cold night. We were given such a warm welcome by the manager Daryl, we were allowed to stay overnight on the carpark as we eat and drank in the Pub, we were even given a code for the locked gate so we could leave early. The pub has a great atmosphere and the food is on another level. The chicken tikka masala is fantastic. Honestly one of the best i've ever had. I can honestly 100% recommend this pub even if you are not staying overnight. It the perfect location if you need a break from driving

This pub had been taken over from the last time we visited. It was extremely quiet and rather annoying that it was card only, there should be a choice. I don't think we will be going again soon.

Great stopover, just off M6 t8/j11 junction. Darren the manager came out to greeet us & help with parking, spacious car park. Free parking if earing. EHU £10, Food was lovely & not overpriced. Definitely recommend and would use again.

We haven't eaten yet but the hospitality and welcoming atmosphere has been second to none. We are in a camper and they have accommodated it overnight We are very grateful 🙏

* Not a fake review* and his response shows an amazing level of childishness, you’ll see from other reviews that he has the inability to accept criticism. Not really sure where to start… we were a table of 7seated on 2 seperate 6 seater tables so we couldn’t be as a group, the waitress said I couldn’t have a glass of lemonade as they didn’t serve it (at that, who I assume was the manager) came and served my glass of lemonade. (What pub/resturaunt doesn’t serve lemonade?!) My squid ring starter (or small plate as they call it) were lovely even though they didn’t come with any dips so were dry. Hense my reason for the extra star. And out of the table of 7 I couldn’t pinpoint a single person who DIDNT have a problem with their food, my partners empire state burger was burnt and dry as hell, and hard enough to knock someone out if it got thrown at them… my chicken’waffles were horrible, I’ve had this dish before at other restaurants and have enjoyed it, but this wasn’t good, the Mac’n’cheese tasted like it was straight from a tin, the chicken was dry and burnt (common theme here) my goddaughters chicken burger was inedible and served along with the starters, my aunties chicken chop suey was served with no chicken, my mothers medium steak was absolutely not cooked medium, it looked I like shoe leather…the stater plates weren’t cleared away before our mains got served and my partners food was served to him a good 10 mins after everyone else’s. I won’t list every issue I had otherwise ide be here all night; the bottom line is I wouldn’t recommend. And when these issues were raised to the ‘chef’ we were met with excuses and changed subjects about his other “restaurants” in London. I appreciate that my grandfather was given a free pint and piece of cake for his birthday but I think him paying for food we actually enjoyed would of been preferable.

Slept here last night in our camper! If you buy a drink at the bar you can stay here for free. You can even get electricity here for £10. Friendly owners! Quiet night. For this price this is a unique place.

Me and my boyfriend came in for a meal tonight. We were greeted by the two lovely Gents who work there. Our Indian Mixed Grill we had was out of the world with so much flavour, and we have tried a lot of mixed grills in the area, this was by far the best. Most of the customers in the restaurant had similar orders and the restaurant was busy, with very quick service. Thank you for being able to seat us in the restaurant and we will back for another mixed grill very soon.

Me and the hubby went in for a meal now it's an Indian American place the food is beautiful oh and the prawn cocktail it was a lovely meal chicken curry rice hubby had the bid dog hotdogs meal topped with mac and cheese it was a bit of a shock at the price but to be fare can't complain

I went in for some food and a couple of drinks with a friend and the food was beautiful, great selection and good prices, service was very good to would definitely return :).

This is absolutely a hidden gem. We had a pitstop after retail shopping at cannock designer's outlet. Parking space is free and even had a electric charging points. We ordered a cocktail salad and it's a king prawn! A chips with curry and squid rings. The serving is generous. Absolutely enjoyed our food. We ate outside as its a nice weather too. Enjoying the signatures cocktail drink and a couple of guiness beer. They got Indian, American and English menu to choose from and all is absolutely affordable price. Definitely will come back. Than kyou.

Absolutely amazing food, the large mixed grills me and my family have tasted was incredible and so tasty great value for money too. Highly recommend. The restaurant was very busy and the staff managed to accommodate us. We will definitely be returning again and make it our new regular

Always a bit alarming to a virtually empty restaurant at 7 in the evening, pleasant guy served us but menu is wildly overpriced, £6 for a portion of Rice !! Food was ok, nothing special, chips are big standard from a packet as was the Popadom. Was ok but then hit with. 12.5% service charge in an empty restaurant. Was stupid enough to accept but that’s me done with this place - there are much much better options

Came here today as online it looks great, however the website is outdated. When we arrived we where greeted by a member of staff wearing a track suit, we got told it was indian or America food only. The website was advertising what previous owener did! We decided to have drinks only and eat elsewhere, we informed staff just drinks only. We got our drinks and because we weren't dining, the waitress came over and waved a card machine in my face saying," my manager sent me over to get you payment". We found the staff rude, scruffy and overall unwelcoming. We drank up left and had a much better experience at Norton Canes Toby Carvery. I would never come back here, definitely avoid!!!

customer service terrible fish and chips terrible pasta over cooked waited an hour for food when challenged she just said she would tell the chef nothing done then comes over to say there would be 12.5 % service charged that's when we said we would not pay any service charge and just give us the bill so we could get away . just to let other customers no its card only no problem with that as there is a sign but nowhere does it mention about the 12.5% service charge

This used to be a great place for a weekday lunch. It's changed hands several times over the last year or do. It's still not up to it's original standards. Service was politely delivered but it took too long for our two meals to arrive. I enquired why there was a delay and was told that one of the meals we had ordered had only just arrived in a delivery...we did watch a lorry deliver so I'm sure that was honest enough. Our meals looked like they had been microwaved from frizen and for £10 per meal they were not value for money. They were listed on the menu under "large plate" meals but were served in a cereal dish sized affair with a tiny salad with two slices of tomatoes, two of cucumber, a slice of lemon and a tablespoons worth of shredded lettuce. Disappointed I'm afraid. Oh and they didn't accept cash....said the staff stole any cash!

When we arrived there were no other people in the restaurant which should have been a bit of a clue. Last time we came, it was buzzing with atmosphere. The restaurant offers American and Indian - we ordered the Indian which was OK, albeit quite greasy. Our Waiter was really friendly and accommodating. This pub allows park ups overnight which is useful for long drives.

Me and my partner came here for a meal. We last came before it got took over and it was amazing. This time was completely different the prices are absolutely through the roof and you can go to lot better places around the area for a lot cheaper. The mile waiter recommended us I what he called signature cocktai only to realise when we got the bill all the ingredients were charged separately and it worked out as £26 for two tiny drinks. When we questioned it he didn't even have the balls to come over and talk to us himself he got the female waitress to explain to us that because it wasn't on the menu every ingredient is charged separately. Also the windows were absolutely filthy so you couldn't even look outside without seeing dirt. This place has been run down since it has been taken over and prices have been put through the roof.

Waited over half an hour for a simple salad, disappointed with the amount and presentation not value for money, this pub was a very busy pub that's why we used it today, but they need to improve service time presentation and value for money. They even the forgot the rice and sweetcorn from one meal. Their Indian food may be better than their English food.

Just got back from an amazing meal with other half. Absolutely succulent food, service exceptional. Will definitely be returning ↖️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you want to wait about 2 hours for food then you may actually like this place! For us, I would consider going back if I was completely lost and couldn't find any random berries or unknown mushrooms to eat first ●Booked one month in advance for a special occasion. ●Table for 5 people at 7pm ●Arrived on time, got drinks and asked to order food at 7:20 ●We were advised there would be a 40 minute wait on food because they had a family in the restaurant that also wanted food, I'm sorry you had more than one table to serve! With a 40 minuite wait in mind, we ordered poppadoms to come before the starters/small plates to keep us going ● 1 hour later still nothing ● another 20 minutes after that we asked again and we got told "it was being prepared and would be at least 20 minutes" ● 8:45pm we decided to pay our drinks bill and leave. 1hr 30 mins of waiting and I think the kitchen were still looking for a cow or something in the freezer because we had no poppadoms, no starters/small plates and no mains Heres what I would suggest for anyone planning a visit: ● Don't book because your special occasion and planning isn't important to them ● look through the window and if you can see any other patron and not just your own reflection in the glass, go straight home or to a proper restaurant. I didn't want to leave 0 stars because we didn't actually get chance to sample any food. Maybe it's okay but honestly I'd rather starve in my own home first without wasting a planned evening out with friends After settling our drinks bill we managed to get to a lovely Indian restaurant on Walsall road who went above and beyond with no booking and even with our arrival being past 9pm

Had a lovely meal and the service was very good. We stopped over in our motorhome had a very good quiet sleep. Cheers

First of all would like to say how polite the waitress’s who served us were, and the staff are very friendly. However I booked a table a day in advance, had to wait over an hour for our order to be taken. The food was inedible as it was ridiculously spicy, I struggled to eat most of it and my partner couldn’t eat any of it. I have had tandoori grills before but nothing as spicy as this before. I don’t think I will be eating here anytime soon and defiantly won’t be recommending this place to anyone I’m afraid.

!!DISCLAIMER: NOT A FAKE REVIEW!! First time coming here since new ownership took over. I want to start off by saying the waitress was lovely, polite and very apologetic throughout our stay. However, everything else was preposterous went in around 2:30 and was told that food wouldn’t start until 2:45 said that’s no problem we’ll sit down order some drinks. We had to wait until 4:00 over and hour for 3 of our meals our youngest had her fish and chips served to her first and she was finished by the time two of our other plates came through (noodles and omelette). The last plate which was meant to be steak and chips hadn’t come out yet and we was nearly done with our meals by the time the steak did come out. I have NO CLUE what cut of steak that was and apparently no one in the building did either unfortunately I did not take a picture of the steak however it was the thinnest slice of beef that you couldn’t even call a steak. When my partner took the steak back to the waitress at the bar he explained that he couldn’t eat it because it was just inedible she said that they can’t do refunds because we had to pay for our food before we actually ate?🚩 He then had to order some other food which was (£8.50) cheaper meaning they took money off us which we couldn’t get back. They had ran out of ketchup for the little one saying that their delivery was late due to traffic from the kids being off for summer? When myself ordered the noodles 10 minutes after I got told that they had hardly any of the ingredients needed and I had to choose something else then the waitress came back again to tell me that they had found the ingredients and I could have them!! The menu states that all kids eat free chocolate ice cream with their meals they didn’t even have chocolate flavour all they had was mango which came with a dirty spoon as seen in a picture below 👇 let’s just say I won’t be coming here again it was a disaster!!! Then again the empty car park should of been our first sign to turn around.

Fantastic, quiet country pub with really friendly helpful staff and great food

Ordered our meal which was poppadoms with sauces and a large mixed grill to share and a garlic naan Waited 25 minutes with no poppadoms or communication from the staff When the poppadoms finally came out, the main meal of mixed grill was brought out 2 minutes after When we told the server we hadn't had chance to eat the poppadoms, he didn't apologise for it but said "did you explain to the staff you wanted them early as we don't do starters!" Every restaurant in the country brings the poppadoms as an appetizer and this very restaurant did 2 weeks ago I wouldn't mind but there was no apology just a rubbish excuse for their terrible service And to top it off after 10 minutes of eating our meal there still wasn't any sign of the naan bread so had to go to the bar to ask for it! It was terrible service but when we politely told them they were no apology just excuses Won't be returning!

Decent food. The burger and salad was really good. Only thing that will stop me from going back,was informed by the waitress there was an option to tip 12.5%.

First time in here since it changed. Very quiet in there. Sat down ordered drinks, waited 15 minutes before they came as only one person serving. Ordered food, mixed grill, as we'd had before in similar restaurants. Poppadoms were served with dips, and we had to ask for individual plates and cutlery. Then the main meal came out, wasn't presented well, everything was just pilled on top. Couldn't see what was on there. We ordered a curry sauce as a side dish, and it came as a past, thick and spreadable, not a sauce. Started to eat, and everything was very salty and greasy. At the bottom of the hot plate was a pool of oil, not seen this on other mixed grills. Food wasn't good at all, told the manager and all we got back was that everyone else enjoyed their meals. We didn't eat most of the meal and all he did was knock off the cost of the curry sauce. Needless to say we will not be going back.

Pub virtually empty but took an age for our order to be taken and served. Waiting staff were lovely. Food came out sporadically so we were eating separately some of the time. Were told at the end that a 12.5% service charge would be automatically added to the bill but could be taken off if requested. We asked for it to be taken off as we wanted to decide on our own tip. When the bill arrived there was an extra item at the bottom simply called "Food" which was for £11. When we queried this we were told it was in fact the service charge (disguised to look like another item of food I presume). Needless to say we got it taken off the bill. Just be careful and check everything on your bill.

First of all it started with it with a drink then we had food after the owner stated it was good authentic Indian and American food, we ordered 2 of the empire burgers which was dry and rubbery and the amount it sauce made the burger soggy, we also ordered a balti which came out red in a tiny dish there was hardly any chicken which was cooked terribly and the chicken was scrag ends, the naan bread wasn’t homemade it was shop brought it was a tough as dogs toy and the amount of grease on top was good enough for a pond, the food came out at odd times and they forgot the sides. The place was like a ghost town with very odd cheap decor they only had one member of staff which was clumsy and didn’t know really what to do, also no draft for fizzy pop, we told the waitress about the food and didn’t do much about it the chef didn’t apologise it was just an excuse of “short staff” which if you’re going to take people’s money you still need to keep up the standards. THIS PLACE NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN IVE HAD BETTER MICROWAVE FOOD

My wife and i made a reservation for sunday lunch on the 23/06/24, we turned up at 2 pm to be told we don't do sunday diners and haven't done for weeks. Well we didn't fancy a curry on such a nice hot day So we paid for are drinks that we had ordered and went, Won't be going there again.
