Was a lovely experience went with my family, Waitor was called Ben so friendly made sure everything was okay amazing guy

I usually rate this place and advise friends and family to dine here. Not too sure what's happened but it's gone downhill food wise. Staff are friendly as ever but we need to bring back the food challenges like "apocalypse cow" and the 32oz steak.

Went in for meal with my family, was amazing serviced by Lee who was really good and friendly and was told the chefs name was Chris and the food was amazing I had the bacon & blue burger and it was amazing

Visited Saturday with my family we had the 3 course festive all planned by jemma comunication from start to finish was amazing she couldn't do enough for us food was also lovely we really enjoyed it thanks so much we will be back soon

Me and my boys took part in the Easter hunt on Easter Sunday so impressed by the effort they put in for the community We found a bottle and took it to the woodman to collect our Easter eggs We then enjoyed our dinner jemma took care of us

We’ve been in twice this past week, and Demi has been really attentive both times. Always got a smile and always willing to help! When we came in today, Demi had made an extra effort to ask her manager if she was able to do a small hunt for our son and his prize was to win an Easter egg. Really happy with our service and will be returning!

What a wonderful family pub the food was lovely and hot we didnt have to wait long for it. We was served by jemma who helped us choose are drinks from large selection. Will definately return 100%.

My family and I came in for lunch on Sunday while the Wolves match was on. The place was busy, which is always a good sign! We got served at the promptly, and every member of staff were friendly and we got service with a smile. We had the Tex Mex sharer, as well as some additional small plates, and they were all cooked to perfection! The pub is dog friendly as well providing water and treats, for them, which is a positive as we mad s couple of dogs which we will bring down on our next visit! Well done to the staff working that day, they all kept a positive attitude while it was busy

Food mixed some good some dry or cold . Advertising 20 per cent off food until end of January but nothing taken of all three courses ordered from group of use so bit misleading .

I've been to this pub a few times over the years. But since the refurb and I think it's chloe and jemma have taken over management. It has been a lot better. Warm welcome. And great service through out. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Ordered 2 starters/big sharers. A very annoyed woman came to the table and started asking if we expect food, when we confirmed that we ordered food she started asking what exactly we are having with the worst attitude possible, I felt like I am at exam or back to school 😳🤦 After finally confirmed that is the correct order she decided to start shouting that the table number is wrong and because of us she walked all around with this food. Dropped it all on the table and walked away. The sauce on one sharer was wrong and the pulled pork on the nachos was completely missing ( we paid extra for it 😂 ) Very quickly all this was sorted with a sloppy watery new portion which the woman so proud of herself said that she took somebody else order to give to us 🤦It's great that the pub had a new look, but definitely need to improve a bit more on the service. People should have a good time when they decide to go out... especially on Boxing Day - it's once a year 🎄😁

Brought my son and nephew and niece for breakfast with Santa, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my family was looked after, the food was delicious. I can’t rave about this place more! Will definitely be going again! The kids had a wonderful time. Big up to Tom and saffron for making sure the kids had a wonderful time( and Santa of course)

Wow, such a change since the refurb, it was always a great venue, but now it is excellent, service by Saffron was fantastic, she couldn't do enough for us, food was great plenty of it and very tasty, good value and a great atmosphere.

Didn’t go myself personally but my sister took my kids for breakfast with Santa. I’m writing a review because I’ve never seen such bigger smiles out of my sons face ( who doesn’t talk to anyone or talk at school) apart from family and he spoke to people at this pub and came home and said he wanted to go straight back. I’m so pleased with how the staff were with my children, so thank you for making this experience perfect for them. And they said their breakfast was amazing and they wanted to go again for breakfast! Recently visited the woodman with my family. As a whole, the experience was top notch! food was delicious and served with a smile. Steak and Ale pie was amazing! highly recommend! Servers really friendly and welcoming - will definitely be coming again!

We booked a brunch in the Woodman after popping in for a few pints during November where we spotted the offer for Bottomless Brunch. We turned up with not much expectation as we had booked it without thinking of the outcome. IT WAS SUPERB!!!!! We arrived and were welcomed into the pub by our server . We were seated in a section with our own personal server who literally bent over backwards to keep us happy. The options for drinks were excellent and the waiter was so attentive that we had enough drinks to sink a battleship before our food arrived. The food was great with options for breakfast, lunch and Vegetarian. The whole team were so attentive and friendly that we will be back here as soon as the opportunity arises. Absolutely 10 out of 10. Bilbrook is back on the map

We went to this lovely newly refurbished pub a few Sundays ago for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and nice and hot too, good variety of meats to choose from and excellent value for money. Service was excellent, Holly attended to all our needs. Would highly recommend this cosy pub. Will definitely be returning 👍

I purchased a drink in cash for my daughter on the day of Bilbrook christmas fayre. I got charged £100 parking fine for parking 20 mins on the car park. Not a great way of getting a bit of extra cash out of your customers really, particulalrly at christmas and also when every £ matters these days, and also when other local pubs do not charge. Have been a customer of the woodman for decades, not very happy you have done this to a loyal customer. Wont be coming back as a result, be careful anyone going to the Woodman. Response from owner noted: As i have said in my review i paid in cash, you are making it difficult by stating only proof of payment will enable you to rectify the £100 parking fine, yet other reviews below (Gary Pearson) also had the same issue and paid in cash, but you were happy to rectify his £100 parking fine but not mine. Not only are you preying on people busy lives to yield you parking fine income, but do not treat your customers equally either. Not a great business model is it really? Even Michelin starred restaurants who serve the best food, do not try and yield income from parking fines.

Had such a lovely meal here with my nana and grandad on Tuesday they made me put a review! They LOVED their food and especially the service from Thomas! They’re always chatting peoples ears off when we go for food but he was more than pleased to keep the conversation. They genuinely had a great time.

I am writing to share my disappointment regarding the service we received during our recent visit to your establishment. We arrived at your pub with a party of seven, excited to experience the refurbished space and its offerings. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the unhelpful attitude of the manager on duty. When we requested a table for seven, we were informed that it was against pub policy to either add a chair to a table for six or combine two tables of four. When we rang 2 days before, we were told to come in at 6 as there would be space. This decision was particularly frustrating given that the pub was far from full, and it was evident that there were reasonable ways to accommodate our group. The refusal to find a solution not only lacked flexibility but also left us feeling unwelcome. As a newly refurbished establishment, one would expect efforts to prioritise customer satisfaction, especially when the request was manageable and would not inconvenience other patrons. So we left and had a lovely meal somewhere else. Regrettably, this experience has deterred us from returning, as it left the impression that customer needs are not a priority. We had been looking forward to trying out the updated pub and its atmosphere, but this incident has overshadowed that anticipation. I hope this feedback prompts a review of your policies and approach to customer service so that future visitors have a more positive experience. Sincerely

Lovely to see a busy pub full of family’s

Son had steak and was great. Daughter had burger which was also great, husband had scampi due to no fish and also good. However my meal was the steak and ale pie and the pie was doughy on the bottom.

Tacos were spicier than expected but very tasty and service was always quick and nice

The pub has a friendly atmosphere and the refurbishment is wonderful. We went on a sat early evening and the football was on the tvs (quite loud) however our food was lovely and I will return for another experience

Visited today for a family birthday, not very impressed, child meal came out undercooked cheese/tom pizza, freezing cold corn on the cob, sent it back and although was rectified by the time it came back the child had eaten off the adult plates so didn’t want his meal, pizza came back with just a little bit of cheese in the middle ! And corn had been reheated in the microwave so was dry! Don’t know how they won award for the beef and ale pie was very salty, gravy was a congealed thick blob in a side dish and the mash was flattened on the plate and very dry! Curry was ok but not fantastic, the 3 plates offer on menus where you choose what you want was good, Roly Poly dessert was a sweet mess, a dry suet in the middle of the plate jam poured over it and a side pot of custard, with needless to say we will not be coming back, staff were very helpful shame the food let it down !!

Visited this pub for the first time in many years a week or so ago. It was a Friday night about 10pm and dark. Today I had a parking fine posted to me for £100. Disgusted. Needless to say I will never be back.

Popped in today for a couple of drinks and a snack. Staff very welcoming and invited us to sit anywhere, even though we had a dog. Treats and drink for Kim were sorted. Wine was good and the hubby said the beer was good too. Lovely clean, spacious, welcoming place . We’re going back next week!

The food was absolutely beautiful, I’d definitely recommend the Salt and pepper chilli chicken and the lasagna. Andrea was very welcoming and told us we needed to register our car registration on the iPad to stop any chance of a fine. We will definitely be back. Thank you all.

Nicely refurbished but a tad chilly, we never took our coats off. Staff really friendly and helpful and quickly rectified a problem with our food. Meals were nice but nothing special for the price. When we next go out for a meal would the Woodman be near the top of our list? Probably not.

Popped in for a drink on the way home and now a week later have received a fine for £100 for parking outside the pub. Unfortunately I paid cash for the drinks, so no proof of purchase. Beware if you are going here. I will not be paying without a fight.

Both my wife and I had a meal at the Woodman this evening , which was exceptional. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff, particularly Tom who provided excellent service. Our meals were cooked exactly the way we asked, please thank the chef. Overall, the service and experience was second to none, we’ll done Craig and the team we will definitely be back soon.

Firstly I would like to say is what a Fantastic Refurb The Woodman has had ... However I requested no salad with my lasagne and there was a plate full of it ?? I had Gammon and it was full of black pepper both sides absolutely ruined my meal we ended up wrapping it up for me dog .... We had no check back to feed this back ..So so dissapointed !

My son and I decided to give the newly refurbished Woodman a try. Wow . Firstly a lovely clean and welcoming atmosphere Food was served within a short time after ordering and was delicious .and all the staff were very polite and cheerful. The outside garden at the rear is amazing . We will be back soon. .

The pub looks nice but it was very cold with no heating on. The barman Thomas was very friendly and nice. However he was on.his own, serving drinks and taking food orders. Having to make the coffees and take them to the table. It meant customers waiting a long time to be served. The pub was quite busy and so understaffed. The coffee served in tiny cups was not very hot especially after adding cold milk. The food was very nice and reasonably priced.

Came for a meal Thursday, pub lovely beer ok can't say the same for our meal, starter bought out with the main, not even the starter we ordered, our steaks were as tough as old shoe leather and half the chips weren't cooked through. A huge disappointment.
