Great spot on the Canal. Dropped in to use the laundrette, after 12 beers, the laundry done and chatting with many locals. Thanks Phil, wonderful afternoon and pub.

We sat down in the vip lounge confusingly anyone can go in there. we tried to order food but you have to wait for 7pm they said if we booked we could of ordered earlier which i would understand if it was full but the few people there where not eating just having drinks. they didn’t have any fish and chips so i ordered a share nachos to share, on the menu this was advertised as being able the feed 2 adults but it could just about feed one. the onion rings nice but a lot of them where conjoined so instead of 8 it was more like 5-6 the halumi fries where nice so where the chips. i would reccomend going to another pub in the area.

The launderettes OK. Don't forget to bring your detergent. And ataffs friendly I get some looks . Maybe it's because I am a Brumby. A brummie who's said bye to brum.

Stopped for a sunny day drink and walk along the canal, lovely pub, great atmosphere .... Will be back for food, as it looks amazing.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My experience at The bridge was nothing short of shocking. If you have food allergies DO NOT eat here. After being vegan for 15 years, my family and I were appalled to find out that they served us meat despite explicitly ordering vegan meals. This isn't just a minor slip-up—this is a huge breach of trust for anyone who cares about what they consume. EDIT: As we haven't eaten meat in so many years my elderly Mother has now vomited and is painfully bloated. To make matters worse, when we brought this to the attention of the staff, the response was absolutely disgraceful. The manager, an older woman, was not only rude but also aggressive in her response. Instead of offering an apology or showing any understanding, she dismissed our concerns entirely, as if we were the ones at fault. Her complete lack of empathy and professionalism made an already upsetting situation far worse. We were left feeling disrespected and unheard. For a place that should pride itself on hospitality, this was a shocking and deeply disappointing experience. I strongly urge anyone who values their dietary choices and expects basic decency from staff to avoid the bridge inn at all costs.

My daughter, sister and I had a lovely afternoon walk along the canal in Brewood today. We decided we'd go to The Bridge Inn and have a cold drink. We had a look at the menu and were delighted to see they had vegan options. So we ordered vegan chicken strips. The order arrived but were more ball shaped than a strips. Anyway we tucked in. I ate two balls but then my daughter commented on the consistency and taste. They had served us chicken. We've been vegan for 15 years. The rather aggressive response from the female manager when my sister asked for a refund was unacceptable. She was told I hadn't made it clear. I most certainly had. As the customer we were being blamed for their error. I am now left vomiting and very bloated because my body can't cope with the bacteria held in dead meat. If there had been some compassion from them for THEIR error it might have made it less distressing. I feel upset and angry. Vegans and vegetarians be aware. I've had to give 1 star in order to alert others. It would have been minus if this was an option. I hope the management read this and reflect on their responsibility to their customers.

What’s going on at the bridge inn

What a great pub experience.. Having moored at the moorings below. This pub was a welcome break. Plus the fact that it had a launderette was an added bonus. The pub layout was easy to navigate with plenty of room to maneuver between the tables in the restaurant side. Overall the pub is bright and airy, and also very clean. Toilets we're immaculate. As the saying goes you can always judge a pub by the cleanliness of it's toilets. The staff are extremely courteous, friendly and most welcoming with a smile to make you comfortable. Food was exceptional plus a wide variety of dishes all cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Waiting times for food we're also acceptable, even in busy times. There is also a substantial beer garden overlooking the canal to the rear and side of the pub. For those who want to use the launderette that is also to the rear of the building, with two good size washing machines and two good sized dryers. The landlords Nicky And Phil who have the right attitude by making customers feel very welcome. Thank you for a pleasant visit to your pub and good luck for the future there.

We stopped here in our campervan en route to a festival at Weston Park. What a fabulous spot! The pub is very friendly, the food excellent and not overpriced. ( I'd highly recommend the sherry trifle cheesecake 🙂!). Launderette facilities too. A quiet spot with flat parking and right by a canal. Walking distance to the village and shops too, and a fabulous bakery! Everyone here is so friendly. This is one of the best pub stops we've had, we'll DEFINITELY be back.

Lovely pub in nice village setting. Husbands order was mixed up but mistake was rectified and the owner apologised for the mistake. Food was delicious. Only slight issue, food is ordered at the bar, which is fine, but there were regulars sat around the bar which made it a little awkward to order and pay.

Lovely spotless clean pub We had the cooked breakfast which was amazing. Chatted with the lovely manager who was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely one to visit if we are in this area again

Friday evening 7pm after we ordered our drinks we were told they’ve taken their last food orders. ?? 7pm on a Friday. Well odd. Outside on the pub wall the hours painted on the wall say food is served. Rather pop down the road - there’s great restaurant in village.

Stopped on our boat to use the laundry again. Ordered a beef lasagne and steak and ale pie. Food was gorgeous and tasty. Service excellent. Thank you.

Came here for some food with my 3 and 6 month old boys. Food is good, ales are good and kids menu is also good. Would recommend as family friendly. Staff were all attentive and we will definitely return. Thank you.

Amazing food, the gammon was so tender and cooked well. Very hot and tasted good. My partner had the surf and turf, steak was perfectly cooked. Generous portions and helpful staff and always polite.

Amazing hunters chicken, lovely flavour. Staff were all friendly and helpful and perfect wait time for food. Couldn’t ask for more!

On the return journey from Scotland to Dover we were able to spend the night for free with our camper in the car park behind this pub/restaurant. From 4 p.m. we played cards, drank and had dinner while we were helped warmly. A nice pub/restaurant with a living room atmosphere.

Lovely pub, food lovely and drinks reasonably priced. Guiness perfect. Great atmosphere .Bar staff friendly, landlord very understanding to our needy rescue dog. Definitely worth a visit, and if you’re a boater they have laundry facilities, what more could you ask 😊

I held my 70th birthday party at the Bridge yesterday afternoon (12th May 2024). Phil and Nicky were fantastic. The service, care and excellent buffet was above and beyond. Would highly recommend. Maureen and Clive France

Very nice pub, had a good evening meal on our recent canal trip.

Excellent fish and chips, friendly welcoming place, nice clean and well presented pub.

The vegie burger was okay but my wife had a plate of salad which contained lots of onion despite having clearly told the staff that she did not want any onions. She was charged far more than we expected for an unappetising salad and the 'dressing' made the whole thing taste of curry. When we told the server that we had asked for no onions she just apologised.

Following good reviews on this site I phoned on Tuesday to book a table for Saturday to celebrate my grandsons 4th birthday, we arrived early only to be told someone had crossed out our booking and they were full unless we wanted to eat in a back room with a large group of airforce personnel. We spoke to the manager who was less than helpful and decided to leave the manager followed my daughter to the car park where he was less than pleasant my advice would be don’t assume booking means you will get a table and be welcome, I would add another local pub despite being busy did accommodate us and were fabulous

I have no words for my experience here at the Bridge Inn. I booked a table for 10 people for my sons’s 4th birthday, all confirmed over the phone, arrived on the day to be told that we have been scribbled out because a bigger party had been booked meaning they got more money from them basically, no phone call, no communication, just a casual ‘oh you’ve been scribbled out, sorry can’t help you’. As you can imagine when you have toddlers who are hungry and then trying to find where on a Saturday lunch time that can take a table of 10 people without booking we had no luck and ended up eating sandwiches at a service station. So the narrative of my story is basically don’t bother booking here as they only think about money from my experience. And I was just personally like to thank the team at the bridge inn for making my sons 4th birthday one we won’t forget and to whoever chose a larger party over us, I hope that you never have to try and explain to your 4 year old that he just wasn’t good enough one day

I couldn’t not in enough words tell anyone how sad my experience at the bridge inn made me. I would not recommend this pub to anyone who may be thinking of going unless you are a local. The year is 2024 yet my experience is something that I didn’t think I would experience in this day and age, they are very judgemental, argumentative and obviously just want to have local custom, which is fine if that’s how you want to run your business just a little bit of constructive feedback for the future, if you only want local custom maybe just say this when people try and book with you so nobody wastes their time

Great pubby the canal, not just a pub. Very friendly. I did my washing which they let boaters use which is amazing. For me as a single boater watching your water till the next service is so helpful. Love it. The cappuccino is great nice hot and affordable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Ate here on a Friday evening. Service was good and also the food. We were early so didn't need to book. Plenty of choices at the bar and prices reasonable.

Great pub great food and great staff, the bartender Molly was particularly helpful 5 stars for her. Food is your basic food grub burgers, fish and chips, lasagne etc therenare also vegetarian options and the pub is dog friendly. They also have a very reasonably priced launderette.

Visited over a few days passing through Brewood on my boat. Always a pleasure to pop in for a drink or a meal. Friendly staff and customers. Nick looked after us exceptionally well when parents came to visit and we went for lunch. Nick was attentive and courteous. The pub has an extensive and varied menu at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend the Bridge Inn in Brewood.

Bridge inn is amazing we come 2/3 times a week mimi is amazing who works behind the bar she goes above and beyond to satisfy all the customers also nick he is here all week and works very hard and always has a banter and a laugh also poppy works very hard she is only young and she is a very good worker and popular with the customers

As a regular (family of four) to the bridge we thought for the first time at any pub, we'd try 'Christmas Fayre'. Staff (Nick Especially) as always were polite and attentive, spoiling the dog with treats too. We all ordered prawn cocktail starters, 70's I know but a family favourite. This came with lovely brown bread and in my opinion is as much of a starter as you need, needless to say it was delicious. Mains for three of us were the standard Fayre, Turkey, juicy and flavoursome, lovely roasties and yourkshire pudding with seasonal vegetables. Our daughter had a chicken burger which she enjoyed. Its good they cater for all tastes. My wife and I had the Christmas pudding, son had toffee sponge and daughter had ice cream, all delicious. Well worth a visit. Martin, Sandra, children and Bluey.

I am flabbergasted by how rude the manager Helen is. I have never experienced customer service like this and Marstons really need to review her position. I feel so sorry for the staff that work under her. I had left a review on TripAdvisor and her response is a massive lie and even called my most excellent, well behavied 10 Yr old daughter disrespectful. This is disgusting and completely out of order trying to blame a child for her own behaviour? I really wish I had recorded this experience to send to Marstons. I suggest dining there undercover to see for yourselves.

We dined for the festive package. Shocking customer service from the manager. Very bizarre? Starters over half hour late and cold, no drink service to table. Food was OK, just a shame it was let down by the managers unnecessary attitude. Won't be returning.

We visit the bridge often mainly because it’s such a friendly atmosphere, we are all always made to feel welcome, even Denzil the dog who is a frequently visitor. Great spot to visit, great food, would highly recommend!

The Bridge Inn is one of the most dog friendly pubs around and has been for years. Dogs love the bar where they are spoilt with treats, water and lots of fuss from the staff. I’ll put this on Trip Advisor .🐾

I live in Brewood and use The Bridge often. It is VERY dog friendly so I am unsure about the review disputing this. In fact, there are often more dogs than drinkers in the bar area 😂 I can only assume they have their Bridge...

Great atmosphere, I love how we can take our reactive bouncy Boxer Dog and he always stays calm here. Must be the treats!!! Highly recommend.

Lovely canal side setting , very large dog friendly room as well as bar area where food is also served. Water bowls and doggie treats for the fur-friends , even cook a sausage for them. Reasonably priced food, the steak night special is very good...

Fantastic food, one of ghe best.

Visiting from NZ and on a canal boat we really enjoyed our night at the Bridge Inn. We were there for steak night and as I have Coeliac disease and have to be gluten free this was the perfect choice. They only use one fryer for chips so they are always gf and they were the best chips I have EVER had - crunchy, fluffy and hot. Service was great and the manager Helen could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Thoroughly recommend Bridge Inn especially if you need to eat gf. But of course the drinks were good too 🙂

Many years ago (1965) this pub is where I had my first pint of bitter at 1Xyrs old being a pupil at the local then Grammar School. Finding myself in Brewood again I had to lunch here with friends. I drank the mild this time it was wonderful and the bitter drinkers in my party tell me that was also excellent. Our food was prompt and good value. Overall a great experience. Of course things have changed the lounge is now the bar and many alterations have been made but it was good to be back. There is a large car park the staff are friendly and obliging so with well kept beer plus good grub what more do you need?.

A group of boaters visited this pub whilst on holiday. Helen was very welcoming. The service was good. We all enjoyed our food. We sat out in the beer garden as the weather was good. Lovely atmosphere would visit again
