The Bull is a good local pub with a friendly atmosphere. It's an ideal place for meeting up with friends for a drink. Meals at lunchtime are good value for money. Bar staff are friendly and helpful.

Had a fantastic meal with a couple of mates. The staff were exemplary I really couldn't fault them. I was especially well looked after by a lovely young man called Liam, nothing was too much for him as one of my friends is disabled. So nice to see from someone of his age. My steak was perfectly cooked and my friends loved their burgers. Thanks again to all at The Bull we will definitely return soon

It's a very traditional pub and I always pop in here as part of a Codsall pub crawl. Used to attend the pub quiz on a Tuesday night, but work gets in the way now. Beer choice is usually good and ALWAYS well kept and in good condition. I have eaten here a couple of times and enjoyed what I had. Cobs and rolls available at the bar too.

This is a lovely traditional pub, which serves a nice meat-and-two-veg-type lunch. It's right in the village centre, and they have a car park right outside.

The Bull is not one of your modern pubs that has been all done up bland chain decor. It is a traditional English local and it is all the better for it. It has a decent range of beers and good value, well cooked standard pub lunch.

If you've seen An American Werewolf in London you will be familiar with The Slaughtered Lamb scene. You will get the same treatment from the locals in The Bull if you dare to try and get a game of darts. Scary.

Lovely pub very warm and welcoming. Nice menu we both had the mixed grill. In general very nice. However don't ask me how I would like my steak cooked if you don't cook it that way. The sausage was really the only thing to spoil the meal cheap and gooey. It was a shame. But overall I would eat here again. The pub was clean we enjoyed our visit.

A really good and fairly traditional village pub. Always busy and very much a locals pub, but friendly with it. Prices aren't bad either compared with some other Marston's pubs. Never had a bad pint here. Shame they don't do food in the evening but it obviously works best as it is, and there's plenty of food places nearby. Well worth a visit!

Decent enough pub with quick service. A real shame that food service stops half way through the day though.

The Bull is the most family friendly pub in Codsall village, great for kids! Especially in the summer where the beer garden and playground keep everyone happy. The staff are all amazing and make everyone feel welcome. Food is value for money, always presented nicely and tastes fresh. Really can't fault it, highly recommended!

Went into the Pub Restaurant yesterday, 11th October 2014, and asked whether I could take my Guide Dog, who is currently in training into the restaurant for lunch. I explained that she would be wearing her Guide Dog Coat which clearly identified her as a PUPPY IN TRAINING, and was more that happy to sit at a table located in the corner of the restaurant. I regret to report that I HAD A POINT BLANK REFUSAL, but was given the opportunity of sitting in the bar. Needless to say, I did not stop for lunch. This establishment clearly has a POLICY of DISCRIMINATION, a policy which, in my view shows a total lack of professionalism and commercial judgement on their part. That said, I am pleased to report that my wife and I, together with two close friends, who live locally, drove the THE Woodman INN in Codsall, where we were given a very warm welcome and my pup was allowed to come into the Restaurant for Lunch. So my final rating would be, if you want to find a Pub/Restaurant with a warm atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and fantastic food, look no further that THE WOODMAN INN and give the The Crown a wide berth!

This pub is one of those you don't see very often nowadays. Well kept kept ales, the staff, especially the landlady are very pleasant and the food is cheap and perfect to get out of cooking at home. Beer garden is huge and perfect when the sun goes down. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Codsall

The Bull Public House and Eatery upholds all the traditional values you would expect from an English Village Pub. Attentive Staff, child friendly, broad selection of traditional ales, and fine fare from their kitchen. If your passing through the area this establishment is well worth visiting.

As I was visiting Codsall I was enticed by the appearance of this Pub. It looks very welcoming from the outside and it is very pleasant inside too with the locals being relaxed and friendly and the ale being well kept and quaffable. However, the service I received from the blonde barmaid was less than friendly. She was very friendly to everybody else but to this first timer I did not even get a "Hello" or a smile. Feeling somewhat crushed I sat down, drank up quietly as quickly as I could and left. I certainly will not return here, sadly.

My wife and I booked afternoon tea for 28 people in celebration of a special anniversary. The staff were all extremely helpful from the time of us making our initial enquiry to the end of the day of our event. They then emailed to check with me that all had been satisfactory. It was more than satisfactory it was a truly delightful experience with attentive staff and a very, very good afternoon tea. This contained an inventive selection of sandwiches and cakes together with scones served with jam and cream. Tea and coffee were served throughout including some ‘speciality’ teas. We had a cash bar but were able to arrange a drink each for our guests on arrival and delicious sparkling wine for a couple of toasts. Several of our guests made good use of the shop to buy a bottle or two of the wine that they had enjoyed during the afternoon. This was a very good experience well done Halfpenny Green. Will we return, most certainly we will to partake in both the great food in the restaurant and buy wine and other goodies from the deli and shop. Everything was extremely satisfactory and the staff were all excellent.
