Had the best time celebrating a family birthday. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Would most definitely recommend and will be visiting again very soon. Amazing food, amazing service fast and prompt, cant fault the team they are all so lovely here, the events that have been planned over the christmas period all look brilliant will definitely be attending a few of them. Really do enjoy visiting this pub.

We hadn't been here since March as we have a caravan in Wales where we spend every weekend and don't really have time to come in the week. As soon as Jo saw us, she came over, sat next to my wife and was asking us how we'd been and all about our summer and having a lovely chat. Jo has always been an awesome server, genuinely very friendly and welcoming, they would be lost without her. We ordered our food, haloumi fries to start, a mixed grill for me and a sirloin steak for my wife. Starter was nice and hot and a decent portion. The mains came and everything on the mixed grill was cooked to perfection as was my wife's steak and extra points to the kitchen for sending the food out on hot plates which is what you want, especially with a mixed grill that takes a little longer to eat. Finished off sharing a salted caramel sundae which was again lovely. All in all a great return to this lovely pub, brilliant food and a brilliant server, star of the show; Jo. Went to the waggon and horses for lunch we both had roast beef with cauliflower cheese side absolutely delicious we were served by the fabulous JO who is always so attentive there was a nice atmosphere in the pub

Had a lovely meal with the family food was hot and came out fast. Dan was our server and was really friendly and helpful :) (and had cool hair)

Food was good, hot and arrived quickly. Staff were pleasant and really helpful. I used the website to book the table and found it impossible to amend the booking to add one more person, so I had to cancel and rebook. I had a 30% discount voucher but this was not applied when I ordered my food through the app - very disappointing.

Hi is a fabulous person. She is so friendly & very quick at her job too. A lovely place to eat/drink, thank you.

Dirty glasses, poor selection of real ales, over priced poor beer. Not cheap, could be so much better. We only had drinks so can't comment on food.

We enjoyed a family birthday get together….we were a party of children & adults….meals for us all were delicious & enjoyed by all….the roast dinners were very tasty….our waitress Jo was great making sure everything was ok & made our experience enjoyable…definitely will visit again ….

Staff were lovely, food was really nice. Price was fantastic due to Meercat Meaks discount. Only criticisms would be that we had to wait around 25 mins for the food even though the pub was quite empty, & that the Prosecco was flat. We highlighted this & the staff apologized & swapped it right away. Apart from that it was lovely & we’ll definitely come back.

We were extremely disappointed. Extortionate prices for mediocre food, one example, squashed chicken and mushroom pie with one lump of 'mashed' potato and very little else! Hunter's Chicken, again, tiny. The service was dreadful, staff need urgent training, your young staff have no initiative whatsoever. Customers should not need to ask for tables to be cleaned and cleared, which we did on several occasions. Again, an example, 2 plates were taken away, leaving 2 the on the table..along with dirty glasses, a mug and teapot. Our sweets arrived with all of this debris still there. Sorry, but our group will certainly not be returning. It was far superior before, when the spit roast chicken was on the menu.

We have visited the Wagon&Horses Wombourne on several occasions and have always enjoyed a lovely meal . Yesterday 22nd September was an excellent experience. The service by Jo as always was very professional and friendly. We will be back!.

Booked on line which was easy , our server was Jo who was great , attentive and efficient, the pub did appear understaffed and yer service was still great, food was excellent , hot and fresh, my husband and brother in law had the kebabs and they said they were best they had eaten , lovely evening great start to the weekend

Never write reviews but had to for this. We waited 10minutes to be seated and the first thing I noticed was many tables were left and not tidied after people had sat there, which already gave me a bad impression. There were two of us and had to be seated on a 6 person table because of this, which I wouldn’t usually care about if it was actually busy however, it wasn’t. The waiter did ask if we would rather wait to get a drinks order or go to the bar, we decided to wait. We thought the wait would be 5-10minutes, however we waited 20. We ordered our food with the drinks order too. After another 20minutes, no tables near us had been cleared and no sign of drinks. The waiters were very acknowledging and apologetic towards us and the table next to us, which is somewhat of a positive. In the end we left having not received our drinks after 20minutes. Will definitely not be returning any time soon and wouldn’t recommend it at all to anyone.

Booked a table for 6pm, arrived 5.57pm and wasn’t seated until 6.10 even though there was a party of only 3 in front of us. Was then told there was no sunday roasts and only gammon available on the grill menu. It then go to even worse, 25 minutes to take our order even though we were trying to get their attention and when eventually placed the food didn’t arrive for another 40 minutes . I had the gammon which was overcooked but I ate it as couldn’t bear waiting any longer for food. Would I like some sauces etc they asked, can I have mustard please, guess what, got none and we then had to table hunt for salt, pepper and vinegar. Also this place is expensive compared to local competitors including the drinks. My advice is to avoid this place and visit much better local pubs and restaurants. It really was a very disappointing experience.

My wife and daughter both ordered steak baguette, my daughter’s was very nice, my wife had to send hers back because it was inedible. She could not cut the steak because it was too tough, neither could she pierce it with a fork. She had to settle for another dish instead. She was very disappointed and could not understand why her steak was like shoe leather and my daughters was fine, same meal at same price. We expected better

On arrival to the place the place looked lovely and wonderful. The staff were lovely and welcoming. However the service that was provided when it came to ordering food was very slow and delayed considering it was not Peek time and there was not much customers in the restaurant . Also the food Lacked numerous of flavour it was bland. There was no seasoning on the meat i.e steak the chicken strips. All though I was not happy with the meal I did pay the full price but would definitely not eat here again. Especially when it comes to having a child with special due to the Service been slow this upset my child cause him to throw his self around the restaurant The staff didn’t seem to mind or try and explain to us that our food or anything was going to be delayed

I went to the Waggon and Horses with my friend on a busy Friday night and found the staff to be amazing and food delicious. We were served by a lovely lady called Jo. She was kind and made sure we were happy with everything. She definitely made our evening better and she is the reason I would come again. Thank you Jo for your kind hospitality. X

Poor quality food, hair on one plate, one meal was served cold, potatoes hard, way over priced, long wait for our meals. I only went back there as it was a family occasion, never again. I'd of had a better meal at McDonald's, very poor.

We just popped in for a quick lunch and we enjoyed it very much, food was great, beer was good and the service from Sydney was excellent. As ever, the place was understaffed, I understand that the cash savings are for the benefit of the shareholders, thoughtless really, but it was enjoyable nevertheless.

Always a warm natural unrehearsed welcome from all the staff at the wagon and horses pub. The food is always well prepared and good value for money. Always a good selection of beers and wines at a fair price. What more do you want.

The apple and cherry crummble i would. Say that. U could have just apple crummble or cherry and apple crummble but other than that it was great

Lunch time visit. I had the gammon, cooked perfectly. Jill had the steak and ale pie with fries, also very good quality. The staff are helpful and friendly. Only criticism is on the cocktails. On the menu, but couldn't make an old fashioned correctly. But only charged us for double bourbon, so no problem. Visited for evening meal. Steaks not done as requested, but other meals fine

First time here. Was a nice visit. No booking needed and quick service. Food was lovely and fitted in desert too, not much to the side salad apart from leaves m, abit of a let down. Steak cooked perfect. And beautiful BLT

I regularly visit the Waggon and Horses with my family.However today has to be the worst meal I have tasted at the Waggon and Horses. It wasn’t so long ago that we visited on the 11th February and had a thoroughly enjoyable roast Sunday dinner. However since a change of hands the quality of food has deteriorated. The Sunday lunch was poor with under cooked roast potatoes and swedes and an oversized Yorkshire pudding you couldn’t cut. I can normally eat most meals even if they aren’t great but this was really poor. I was offered a free desert and ultimately a 30% discount but it will be a long time before we even think of visiting again. If you are looking for an enjoyable Sunday dinner I would seriously look somewhere else.

She was really pleasent and personal. There did appear to be only 2 people waiting on the tables, which seemed odd for a Friday teatime but you wouldn't have known as Jo was very much on the ball & didn't keep us waiting at all. Overall, I recommend The Waggon & Horses as it was an enjoyable meal and we will return again.

Nice staff but the food was awful they seemed to not have many things on menu and the Sunday menu is quite small waited an hour for our food in a very empty pub veg was so over cooked it was like slop regret not complaining if I'm honest ,chicken strips on kids menu were actually low quality chicken nuggets did actually hear someone else on a nearby table complain about their meal some parts of my meal were luke warm too I 100pct would not return you'd expect better service and food quality especially as the were not busy sunday 30th June

Great service. All food came out together which was great. Reports from other guests some of the roasts could have had more flavour.

Standard marstons. But the problem is the other customers. Not family friendly, people smoking and swearing like a dirty tramp, right by the play area. Even acknowledged we had kids, and it just got worse. Staff are all young. 2 glasses were dirty (lipstick marks) but quick to change. They need mature staff to support them on a busy sunny Sunday.

Jo was fab, really great service but the other lady seemed very rushed and overwhelmed.

It's ok, food is pretty standard for a Marston's, had the Sunday roast which was good but not to the standard of other pubs in the area.

First visit definitely not the last. Gorgeous food, extremely friendly and helpful staff 👌

Presentation was brilliant, but the quality of food wasn't the greatest. Hunters chicken - chicken was hard and overcooked Lamb kebabs - over cooked Kids chicken bites - very salty No staff around to give any feedback or even to check how was the food

Came during half term with my mom for lunch. Ordered starters and mains from the specials menu. Food was delicious and well-presented. Brilliang servicw from Haylie considering she was on her on. Thank you.

My first time trying this given it is my new local and I did really enjoy it! Service was excellent alongside a really nice, bright atmosphere surrounding the place. The only downside was the food in my opinion didn't live up to standard, 15 pounds for a fish and chips with peas, hardly any garden peas on the plate, the fish wasn't great but not the worst iv ever had and there wasn't a great amount of chips. More than anything, the portion sizes were the biggest let down for the price, overall though I will definitely be coming back to try other options especially the Sunday lunch.

Came bank holiday Sunday with my children for a roast lunch. Was absolutely beautiful food, can't fault it. The service was quick and the staff are lovely and can't do enough for you! My 5 year old son enjoyed playing outside on the play area, couldn't get him off it lol. Would highly recommend!!

Greeting at table reception very slow waiting for approximately 5 minutes then told get a drink at the bar whilst team member wiped tables then told table over by the door, food service time acceptable but all mains were very dry , when asked for the bill I was told couple minutes after waiting 20 minutes I went to the bar and our waiter was standing behind the bar casually chatting to kitchen staff who had finished shift when I approached he just said oh yeah the bill left feeling undervalued customer

We visited bank holiday Monday waited over an hour for food for four people, however I ordered Vegan Tart, crushed new potatoes and salad, what I received was overcooked Tart, 3 crushed small potatoes (with a dark brown skin) without butter and 2 leaves of rocket salad, I had to send back and re-order something else, we then ordered desert which wasn't very nice, waited ages to pay bill then was overcharged by £10.

Wow! Haven't been here for a while and came tonight and was amazed! Food is fantastic and service is fast! Booked a table at 8 for my fiance and I and we absolutely loved it. Tasty food and brilliant portions! Sydney + Alex were lovely and welcoming and checked if our food was okay more than once, no problems at all. We will 100% be returning!!!!

While the location is nice, the table wasn't particularly clean and the menus were tatty and torn. The drinks service was quick and we placed our order. Unfortunately, it took almost 1 hour and 20 minutes before the food arrived. So long in fact, one of our party had to leave and we had to cancel their order. The food was OK, but the pie crusts were tough as if they'd been cooked too quickly, and the vegetables looked like they'd been sitting under a hot lamp for some time. We managed to order more drinks went the food arrived, and after eating decided on desert. After an hour of no one visiting our table, and no one coming to us after we'd attracted the servers attention twice, we decided to leave instead. I stopped a server and asked if we could pay. She looked flustered and busy so I asked if it was easier if I paid at the bar, which she was thankful for so I did. In the end we spent almost 3 hours there for a main course and 2 rounds of drinks. I really hope this was a one off caused by staff shortages or other unforeseen problems, because if this is the usual service, it is unacceptable.

We booked a table for 1:30pm. When we arrived we were told it would be a 30 min wait for food which we were happy with so sat down and ordered our food, we then waited in fact 2 hours for our food. We noticed 10 other groups complain that they have also been waiting for their food for hours. Whilst this was happening people were still being aloud to sit down and order food! We did get a refund but this is the second time we have been here and it has been the same service!

2nd time in a year, over and hour and a quarter wait for food, last time was over an hour If you are understaffed let us know when we arrive and maybe turn people away. People will understand if aware in advance and have the option to go elsewhere. Really nice staff, food was great but the wait ruins it.

It was okay just a pub that serves food not exceptional food and drinks prices on the higher side I would suggest
