Chase Gate in South Staffordshire

Came on a Monday with the little one - service was quick and friendly by Grace and food came out lovely and hot. Really good deal with kids eating for £1!

Came here for food and it was great. Beth and Grace were lovely, will definitely return.

First time here but won't be out last. Very clean and tidy, the loos are ok too. The menu choice is great and the daily offers are spot on too. All the staff were helpful, smiling and welcoming and our server, Grace made us feel at home.

Such a shame, we come here a lot however we bought a milkshake advertised at £3, fancy with cream etc. they bought out a CARTON OF YAZOO… my bf couldn’t be bothered of the hassle of taking it back. Chicken tikka wasn’t hot at all, and nachos were weird.

Served by jodie was very lovely and helpful and very polite. Our mix it up menu was perfect but my child's food of the child's menu was not very great, the peas were hard was slightly cold and didn't taste the best. Other than that nice experience and as I say the adult menu food was great.

I recently visited the Chase Gate Hungry Horse and had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, with generous portions and great value for money. Very quiet at my time of visiting around 1.15 lunch time. Expecting it to be busy with Christmas approaching. Could do with refurbishment of dining tables and chairs. They don't look very inviting and welcoming. Perhaps this impression puts people off. Cheap and cheerful prices.

Hey hey hey !! What a great meal we had here - food was in abundance- started with chicken strips and wings - they came in piping hot and good to see local sauces being used. For main I went for lamb kofta - which was well presented with plenty of lamb more than I've had in other restaurants. My wife had pie.whch she thoroughly enjoyed- staff were very helpful.and cheerful. Good to find some where that had food after 8pm. A bonus was to use our blue light card- we will back - Yum Yum

Advise do not go on Sundays, ordered mixed grill, chips cold, not fresh cooked, no steak on plate they had forgot to put it on plate, other meal gammon was cold to warm, and they forgot the jacket potato will not be going there again

Staff were really helpful, came in Saturday teatime lots of tables already reserved however staff found us a table. Food was out quick and tasted nice- I had the lamb kofta flatbread.

we booked a table for 6pm on 15/11/2024 to be told we had been booked in for 4pm this is not the first time we booked on line booked a table to be told when we got there it had not been booked or the time was not correct the bar staff did not want to know they had no interest at all about our booking when we booked food it took that long to come to us that the meals where cold the one meal we had was over cooked it was like eating house bricks it was the most expensive pub to eat in well we wont be going back to the chase gate we will take our custom some where else in future

I always enjoy eating at the chase gate although I haven’t eaten all what’s on the menu what I do have is always good value and cooked the way I like it. Jodie served me and my wife and was very pleasant. There was a time it wasn’t so good but now it’s far better. Thanks to the chef and staff. We was also ask if any one had allergies which can sometimes be a life saver. Thank you.
