We were staying at the premier inn next door and we love our local beefeater and this place definitely maintained the high standards we like. Margaret was our server for breakfast and dinner and she was a complete star. She sorted my slightly off menu order with the chef no bother at all. She and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, great food and great service what more can you ask.

A lovely little cafe on a working farm with a shop & butchery on site. I visited with a few family members for a mid-week lunch and was not disappointed. Our server, Hayley, was delightful. She was friendly, welcoming & helpful when we had questions. The food was delicious and portions were plentiful. We could tell that many of the customers were regulars and visited there often to eat lunch , so that speaks volumes. I believe that most, if not all, of the food is produced on the farm itself, and if not ,then it is all locally sourced. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and it is dog-friendly outdoors if you are visiting with your furry companion. I would recommend visiting here for lunch.

I never write reviews on this but I felt the need to after my experience here. This is in a lovely location and the shop sells some lovely products. The cafe however needs massive improvements. I visited here with my toddler. Only one other table was occupied yet all the tables where dirty. The young teenage girl who was working seriously lacks basic manners or any social skills needed for this job. She didn’t bring my full order out as she forgot , which is fine, however her unfriendly and uncaring attitude was not. She created a frosty atmosphere and I couldn’t wait to leave. I was very friendly and got no response back when interacting with her. I even asked if she had any something off the dessert menu and she said I don’t know.. il asked could she check which she did then she never got back to me. I had to ask again and she said there is. .. so, can I order some then? So strange. It’s not like it was busy at all. My baby was smiling at her and waved goodbye too but nothing back again. I found it unbelievable really. Too immature to be working and no skills as a waitress. Basic things like wiping tables and being friendly are important. I will not be returning.

Cafe + small farm shop in a lovely rural location, easy to access & lovely views across the polo field next door. We both had a Mini Breakfast - few minor changes would be perfect! Ingredients were fresh & tasty, mostly nicely cooked, service was quite fast. The eggs & black pudding both cooked with too much oil left on the plate, otherwise great. Coffees nice. We'll be going back!

I was surprised to find so many satisfied customers on here. My experience was quite different. Congealed coagulated milk around the lip of the milk bottle which was brought to the table. Disgustingly dirty underside to the teapot lid and the food, chicken sandwich was simply ordinary. Loaded with lettuce and very little meat. Not sure it knows whether it wants to be a farm shop tea room or something more upmarket. Prices should have meant that the food was good but it wasn’t. Overpriced and ordinary. Offer was a hot drink and cake from the selection available but it was thin pickings…. A couple of slices left from a large cake and what looked like a cookie. Neither of which looked appealing by the way. Rustic chips appeared to be deep fried McCains oven chips in their skin. May be wrong but that’s what they looked like. We had bought a cake and some scones to take home. The cake was fair but the scones were like dust. So dry even butter and cream didn’t help them. Chair cushions were filthy. Overall an unpleasant experience. Waiter was pleasant.

Unfortunately, the food is terrible. I had eggs florentine on muffins. Hollandaise sauce looked like scrambled eggs, muffins were dry, eggs overcooked and spinach was cold and too salty. The food is tasteless and won’t be returning to the cafe. The tables were dirty sticky and greasy. The cafe doesn’t look welcoming and relaxing. It used to be a great place to eat, but now it’s just an outdated and dirty place. However, the staff was lovely and professional.

Fabulous breakfast Sandwiches. Visited as part of our cycling club. We visit many cafe’s throughout Shropshire and know a good bacon sandwich when we see one! Can’t fault the service and lovely food served in the cafe today. Bread I was told was baked on site and was absolutely delicious. Look forward to our next visit.

We visited for breakfast this morning and were looking forward to it. However, we were extremely disappointed and feel the place has gone down hill considerably. The breakfasts were very poor with items being cold, greasy or over cooked. The produce did not seem very good quality at all especially the bacon which looked so bad that neither of us even touched it. We left £26 lighter but still hungry as we didn’t eat most of it. Although the 2 ladies were nice, nobody came to check on us or clear the table. When paying the bill, I expressed my disappointment over the food

Visited this lovely country pub following recommendations from neighbours. The menu is small but full of home made dishes. As a group of 4 we enjoyed chicken and Stilton pie and vegetables, gammon, sweetcorn, chips and pineapple, chilli con carne and a really meaty pork chop, chips and peas. Really good home cooked food so much better than the normal pub grub. It also means the menu changes regularly. Sensibly priced making eating out a pleasure. Desserts just had to be tried. The whisky bread and butter pudding was suitably named and the apple crumble with custard was a winner too. The Sunday roast advertised at £9.30 will have to be tried another weekend. Delicious home cooked food is always so much better than bought in dishes. We praised the chef and June for a lovely warm welcome and a great meal.
