Floro Lounge in Shropshire

Highly recommend love the fact that you can order on an app instead of going up to order saving time. I had the diablo burger which was amazing and my friend had the burger and avocado with a side of cheese and garlic chip which was delicious and good portion sizes. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. Definitely will be going back to try someone the other dishes. Also love that they are dog friendly aswell.

Poor service, overpriced, cold food, unapologetic staff, - staff touching hair, fingers in mouth + looked miserable - no tab facilitie so had to make 4 separate payments - could be much much better IF they actually gave a dam !!!

The food from this restaurant chain was as good as usual. However, the service at this restaurant was lacking; our food was on the hatch waiting to come out to our table, but the waitress was on her mobile! The restaurant wasn't busy, so there was no excuse for the delay, except the lack of attention by the waitress.

I have frequented various other restaurants in your company's portfolio. In particular an absolutely outstanding meal and service from all staff at Prestatyn. My family decided to treat me to a birthday celebration at your Shrewsbury restaurant. One member of your staff should be congratulated on his excellent service and good customer care, he offered me a complimentary cherry farewell drink, after seeing it was my birthday. Other than that the experience was extremely poor, several meals not available, service wait times were dreadful, a male member of staff with red hair was rude, arrogant and unhelpful. Indeed when my family arrived with a pushchair they were made to feel most uncomfortable and unwelcome. Your toilet facilities upstairs lacked any changing facility for baby's. I note that the downstairs part of the restaurant was not full and you could have easily accommodated our party or 6 people. You state health and safety with regards the stairs, yet you seem to lack any such regard for your customers. To say my meal was basic would be an understatement, steak and fries. Whilst I did not want rocket salad, no alternative was provided or offered. Alot of meals on your menu were unavailable. I believe that you would have charged £5 per person in the event of a cancellation. Surely the sheer amount of products unavailable due to you having no ovens to cook buttermilk chicken and no pasta, should have entitled us to go elsewhere. If you do not sell an item, you should not falsely advertise it online on your menu or in the restaurant either. My thanks for ruining my birthday celebration. Please forward this to head office.

Nicely decorated restaurant with nice staff. What's special is that you order online or at the counter using the QR code, and the food is then brought directly to your table. However, you also pay in advance. The food was good, the fries were super fresh and tasty and the halloumi burger was good too.

Decided to visit for the first time today with my son. The reviews looked great but unfortunately a big disappointment for us followed. The first three dishes we tried to order were not available! We decided to try another restaurant. I spoke to the manager, who said there was a notice on the door saying no buttermilk chicken! I was a little surprised at the response & explained that 2 other dishes weren't available.I could see he was busy & probably not aware of the shortage of choices. Maybe an off day, will try again.

Where do I start! Arrived at the obligatory sign "wait to be seated," and a couple of minutes later, a waitress appears, informing us of a 45-minute wait for food. Do we still want a table. The seating area didn't appear that busy, so we agreed to the wait. It was 1.30pm on New Years Eve, after all. We were seated at the worst positioned table I've ever had the misfortune to sit at. (By the bar where people stood to choose their meals/drinks and pay. Staff and other customers milling past constantly on either side of us. Customers standing with dogs, right next to the table.) Ordered a bottle of wine and waited for our food. 25 minutes later, the meal arrives. No finesse with the arrangement of food on the plate (I could have been sitting in a greasy spoon café on the A5 out of Cannock). The fries were luke warm and oily. The plantbased burger was slightly warmer with a limp piece of lettuce and cold slice of tomato. It came with a tea spoons' worth of coleslaw. I expected more from this establishment, reading some of the past reviews. Maybe that was the problem. Or is the problem the fact that the great British public are so accustomed to eating second class, unimaginative 'food' that they can't see or taste any difference! Incidentally, I gave two stars for service because at least one of the many staff members took the time to say "bye".

Another excellent visit to another Lounge in the country. Consistent as anyways with good value for money, good food and good service. If you haven't tried one yet, give them a go, you might be suprised.

A good spot for breakfast/lunch. Lots of choice on varied menu. Shakshuka was fine but the lamb with flatbreads was v good. Nice big space, plenty of seats.

Fantastic experience. I really enjoyed every element of my time at the Floro Lounge. Calming ambience contrasted from the hustle and bustle of a wintery Christmas shopping weekend outside. Lovely coffee, my huge breakfast was absolutely delicious and my wife was excellently catered for with her dietary requirements. Such excellent value overall, the service was spot on and the people were friendly and welcoming. I'm looking forward to returning for dinner in the future. Thank you, Floro Lounge, you were amazing!

Christmas eve morning 9.30AM..got completely ignored on the way in by the guy behind the bar even though he looked straight at us. Got a sest upstairs came back down to order and once again ignored whilst he was making a drink for an order...not even an acknowledgement I was there. Eventually another lad took our order. Our tea arrived and was luke warm at best so I took it back downstairs to ask for a hotter tea only for the same original guy to cup his hand around the pot and claim "feels warm to me"!!! Once that was finally served hot the breakfast was luke warm too....what a shambles considering there were maybe 10 people in the entire lounge. We'll give that a miss in future. Shame because the Novello lounge in Telford are superb!

Had a wonderful lunch with my family. It was an extremely busy Saturday with the staff working their socks off. The only negative which the lovely waitress apologised for, which wasn't the staffs fault, was a family that thinks it's OK to have your children screaming their heads off in a busy restaurant.

An absolutely refreshingly great restaurant in the heart of Shrewsbury. The service is impeccable and the cooking first rate. Good range of drink options and the prices are very acceptable.

As always, a lovely place with tasty food and chill vibes. Service was good too and food arrived fast. Always a plus when you can order via QR code so you don't have to wait for waiters to take your order. Some options however are not available on the QR code like no ice with drinks, but maybe that's drink specific. Highly recommend overall!

I must admit, the experience got off to a rocky start when I was prompted to include a tip before my order was even accepted—through their QR code system, no less. Madness! I mean, shouldn’t a tip come after the service has, you know, actually happened? Deciding to give them the benefit of the doubt, I ventured into their “tapas menu”—why, I’m still not sure. Calling it “tapas” felt generous; it was more of a culinary mishmash than a cohesive selection. But onward I went. After what felt like an eternity (41 minutes, to be exact—not that I was timing it… okay, maybe I was), the food finally graced my table. First up, the lamb koftes, which were so dry they could have doubled as emergency sandpaper. Next, the chili—if it didn’t come straight from a tin, I’d be shocked. The quesadillas? They were as “meh” as food gets, entirely forgettable. And then there was my cranberry juice, which tasted more like liquid candy than actual juice. Now, it wasn’t all doom and gloom. The feta was genuinely delightful—a little creamy, a little tangy, and frankly the highlight of the meal. If they’d served me a plate of just that, I might have been tempted to revise my earlier tipping conundrum. In conclusion, while the feta saved the day, the rest left me wondering if I’d accidentally wandered into a tapas-inspired prank show.

Waited ages for a table which should have been a sign, especially as the couple in front of us decided to leave before being seated. It wasn't particulary busy and staff were chatting but couldn't be bothered to take our order. We eventually left as we had our grandchildren and they were hungry. Much better service in Wetherspoons. We won't bother again.

We come here every other weekend our favorite spot, but today was a let down. Came for a drink, it took a long time for hot chocolate. And also photo attached is a full drink that they brought. It was a mocktail 6.25£. Looks and taste awful.

tapas menu. small portions for price. cauliflower was wet, like it was old and not freshly cooked. squid was nice. quasidilla was very small but tasty enough.

Beautiful decor and friendly staff. Were offered options of vegan and gluten free menus immediately upon entering. Ordered tapas and it came beautifully presented. Overall the meal tasted amazing. Lots of different options for seating and the overall atmosphere was inviting and comfortable! Would definitely come again!

Beautiful looking place, has real character and a good choice of table sizes. Food was fairly good. Kids had the pizza looked okay. I had the poached eggs, bacon and English muffin. I asked for an avocado side, it came out rock hard in a little bowl. Wasn't nicely sliced or nicely added to my breakfast. Avocado should be soft and easily sliced.

6 adults & 6 kids stopped in for breakfast on our way back from a week at Manor House, Llanfyllin (see review). Floro is my favourite Lounge so far (Granello & Cultivo being my local ones). All the staff were 100% PRO! Friendly, welcoming & attentive. Perfect. Food was really nicely cooked & presented. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Completely set us all up for a 3 hour drive home! Shrewsbury seems really cool too, will def visit in the near future & will def revisit Floro Lounge!

Great place for a bite to eat with a good selection. The home made watermelon iced tea is very good. You order via the online app or in person if you prefer. Good vegan options available if that's your thing

the food was great but the churros were plain and barely had any cinnamon. they were bland and the chocolate sauce tasted slightly weird.

Not entirely my kind of place but ended up here on a busy Saturday night when available options were limited. All ordering via app so little opportunity to ask staff about menu items. Food and drink ok and price point about what you’d you’d expect. Tables a bit sticky and everywhere could probably do with a decent deep clean to remove the slight feeling of tackiness! Because I had to go through the app to order my details have of course been captured and I’m now getting emails that o didn’t ask to receive! Sorry guys - you lose a star for that - hence 3 stars

Love the food! It’s was amazing!

Can’t fault the atmosphere or staff, but the food wasn’t its usual standard when we visited today, so it’s a mixed review. We ordered our 7 year old son beans and cheese on toast, which was advertised as a meal. A small burnt piece of toast appeared with minimal beans or cheese. I let a staff member know I was disappointed with the quality and quantity, and that it would perhaps be enough for a two year old. I offered to pay to change it for a different meal, but my son was very upset. The staff member was absolutely brilliant and went away to get it re-made, twice the size. She also put an extra side of beans on for him. Outstanding customer service. However, this item really needs removing from the menu or listing as a toddler meal. Our daughter had a poached egg with her breakfast. It had been put on her toast too wet, which ruined the toast. The egg had been badly poached leaving it with a very unpleasant texture. It actually put her off her food so we had to go to Greggs to buy her lunch afterwards. My husband finished her meal so it wasn’t wasted, but again, a disappointment. We didn’t let staff know about this as didn’t want to cause a further fuss. The adult breakfasts were good, although the beans portions were absolutely tiny. We will probably give it another chance at some point, and really hope our next experience will be better.

Good food, but my partners food had some cross contamination. When we arrived we had to wait ages to be seated, only to be told to just find a seat. I do not understand why it was necessary to wait. The atmosphere was good. Overall nice food and staff were friendly but ultimately I have been to better lounges.

Visited Floro Lounge last weekend for breakfast with family. Always love the lounges as you know what you are getting, regardless of where you are in the country. The atmosphere was good, staff were friendly enough. However, I have to say, my meal was a let down on this occasion. The lounge breakfast was not up to standard, I order toast to come with ‘no butter’, however, this was not adhered to and the toast came buttered. I mean come on, attention to detail is important, nothing worse than opting to remove something and this not being listened to. There were also two sizeable hairs in my meal, which just totally put me off. In hindsight, I should’ve complained to staff. Not a great experience and not the usual standard of food that I have received in other lounges. Maybe this was just a one off let down.

The Novello lounge is so amazing I thought Floro lounge would be the same - but was bitterly disappointed. The cocktails tasted awful - rushed and not the same as Telfords - they are exactly the same on paper. The service was slow - it was a busy Saturday so we understood. The atmosphere just wasnt our vibe, I wouldn't return.

I have only once previously been to Floro Lounge Shrewsbury for drinks but went for my leaving do drinks and tapas this evening. Great food, great offer for Tapas Tuesday and the staff were lovely. I don’t know the name of the staff member but she had red hair, tied back, quite small height wise with facial piercings - she was fabulous. I had my 17 year old daughter with me (as well as a group of colleagues) and she was so accommodating and attentive, she did all she could to make our visit special and memorable. Would highly recommend and return. A great experience and tasty food too.

Very pleasant chain of lounge bars.

We visited without researching prior. Situated in the town centre. Very spacious place with seating on two floors. Very good service. Food arrived together and quickly. We mostly had tapas and sides. Everything we ate was of good quality and hot. All four of us enjoyed our meals. Very reasonably priced place also.

Great vegan and vegetarian options, also had an incredible cocktail and they have gluten free beer!! It was a win-win!!

I really love the atmosphere of this restaurant. They have a full vegan menu which I really appreciate! They have a diverse range of options as well. Normally when you go to a restaurant, as a vegan, you may have a few random options to try. Floor Lounge really does well with their vegan menu. It’s creative and diverse, something I appreciate. I only marked 4 out of 5 on the food because some locations the food is better than others. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re vegan!

Shrewsbury is very quiet on a Monday evening and not many places were open. We stumbled upon the Floro Lounge and had a lovely meal. Friendly staff.

Popped into Floro for a bite. It was quite full, and there were 10 of us, the said it was 45 50 minutes wait, so we decided to have a walk around the town. Later on, we went back to Floro, and he managed to fit us in by putting tables together. Thank you for that. The food menu is very good and very, very tasty, there's a good range of drinks available, kids loved the chocolate milkshake, unfortunately I didn't take photos of our meal, but the burgers are lovely, the buttermilk chicken, fish n chips and gluten free meal where all delicious. Will go back again if we are in the town again.

This restaurant is great for any occasion. It’s particularly good for me as a single diner. I felt very welcome, at ease and loved my two course meal and drink. I particularly enjoyed my Buddha Bowl. The flavour combination was delicious.

Stopped there for a week day brunch. The place really stands out on the high street, really funky and colourful. So I popped in. I ordered shakshouka, I added chorizo for a treat - that was a mistake! First I got my matcha latte, which came in dirty cup with dirty teaspoon. Latte didn't taste nice..... The dish was delivered very hot, which I like. But very watery and no vibrate red colour, it looked brown like it already came out the other end. The eggs were poached well but didn't look appetising, chorizo was totally charred to smithereens so please stop charging £2.15 for this damaged sausage! On the other note they put table with kids activity stuff clise to the entry to the kitchen. That shouts trouble to me as a mother. Honestly I hope this was just one bad day in one chef's life.

I know their food is good, but the staff are rude AF. They have this stupid QR system, but the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. If you ask for anything the bar staff talk to you like you’re an idiot and the waiter/ess just ignore you. I’m not a technophobe, they’ve got a real problem and need to train their staff to communicate with the outside world

Easy to order if you are familiar with mobile phones or can order at the bar. Think that these instructions are fairly easy to see on arrival. Funky interior decor, clean and comfortable. Menu easy to navigate with mobile phone menu. Waiting staff pleasant and food served promptly and hot. Reasonably priced for a town centre establishment.

Came in for a bite to eat, had the hummus and fries off the tapas menu. great food, good value, and atmosphere has a chill vibe. Lady with pink hair at the bar was welcoming and helpful. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. Definitely will be back

Food really nice staff really helpful and friendly

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Food was okay but nothing special and minute portions for the price! Especially the fries. Worst thing was the music! It was ridiculously loud for a daytime! and the air-conditioning was freezing and so were we as it was cold outside.

Love the design of these restaurants, recommend a visit. Desserts are yummy!

Love a good cooked breakfast at all the lounges I've been too, tend to find the music's always a little too loud though, makes it difficult to have a conversation with those next to you.

A large but efficiently-run restaurant as part of the Lounges Chain. Conveniently situated within the busy Shrewsbury Town. Background "musak" downstairs was too loud for conversation but the upstairs was ideal.

This must be one of the few places we stopped at in our recent trip to the UK where the prices have been kept at a sensible level since COVID. Great tasting coffee and cake too.

Went in and took a seat, and waited to be served at the table to order food and drinks. After finally catching someone's attention, told we had to order at bar or via some QR code! Ordered at bar, and had to get correct change from waitress, as she short changed. Food was OK. Fresh elderflower cooler was overpriced for what it was, but the 3 tapas dishes were OK. A little dark inside and nearly fell over a dog that was lying on floor at nearby table. Serious health and safety issue, as did not notice dog on floor. Place is just OK.

My husband and I chose to eat breakfast here with our 3 month old baby. The menu looked good and we thought we’d try somewhere new, unfortunately we will not be retuning. There are much higher quality, cheaper places offering locally sourced food and a lovely atmosphere to eat breakfast in the town. The food arrived so quickly it can only have been microwaved. For the price, the portion size and quality of the food was appalling, I would have suggested it was worth half what we paid, if that. The hot drinks were watery and tasteless, the tea was grey in colour. Would not recommend.

Wasn't very busy but had to wait over half an hour for a cocktail told us to sit down and they would bring it over asked twice about the drink and how long it would be but the 3rd time it was behind the bar. Not very busy just a shame waiting for the drink 🙃

We have been in maybe as many as 50 lounges up and down the country but we didn't actually manage to eat or drink here. The table was filthy and had a breakfast plate on it with baked beans. I kindly asked the young girl assistant to clean it but she said she was too busy and said that she would come back in 5 minutes. When she did come back she cleaned the 2 tables near me but not mine. Tried to catch her eye to remind her but was ignored. Decided to go. Definitely a miss on our list.

Absolutely Fantastic! Walked in for a quick coffee and served with a smile, menu looked great. We visited again for Dinner, allowed to take in Balloons, Cake etc, nothing was a problem. All staff very welcoming and friendly. The menu has many different options of delicious foods and drinks. The prices are exceptionally affordable and won’t break the bank! We tried the Tapas, Cowboy Smash Burger and Chicken dish, all very tasty and well presented. Great vibe, chilled and welcoming for families, couples on date nights and pre drinks. Lovely decor and very clean. Great idea to use QR code to order and pay, you can keep an eye on what you’re spending. The staff are more than happy to help you or serve you at the bar. Definitely will return for a drink or a meal. Fabulous! 10/10!

We popped in on a weekday to have a late breakfast. The service was great, lovely decor and nice atmosphere. We ordered from the table and the food and drinks were brought out quickly. A really relaxed place to have food and a drink at reasonable prices.

Pub grub. Large choice of food and drink which should cater for most tastes. Good for a refreshment break if out for a walk round the shops. Orders and payment made through an app so bring your smartphone with you.

We ordered a range of tapas and meals all came out together. Food was lovely and great value for the amount too. Toilets upstairs clean. Refillable water by the bar to help yourself. Friendly staff, happy to help us with questions about food. Atmosphere - it can get loud , but obviously this could of been down to some loud talkers during our visit.

Sadly the food was totally mediocre, a pre prepared dinner seemingly straight from a microwave. My guess is that is what we have come to expect. It’s no surprise I don’t bother eating out much.

Food is always delicious - would recommend the lounge eggs to everyone. Service is always prompt even during the busier times and staff are polite and helpful

Came here after doing some shopping in town. Lots of space and a nice laid-back vibe. Easy to order at the bar or on our phones. Good selection of food and non-alcoholic drinks. The service and food was very good.

Love the lounges, good vibe and tasty food

We have eaten at a number of Lounges and Cosy Clubs and were pleased to find one had opened in Shrewsbury. They all have a very relaxed atmosphere due to the design and mix and match tables and chairs. The service is good but the portions small. As well as main courses we had desserts with hot drinks. The cooked pudding was good but one of our party had a slice of Victoria sponge which was a bit dry. That said, we enjoyed our visit overall.

1st time here & wasn't disappointed, very tasty tapa, friendly attentive staff, fast service, easy ordering from our table via the QR code, definitely recommend visiting, lots of families and children, couples, dogs! lots of choices on the menu to suit all tastes, midweek deals aswell, really enjoyed it here & will be back 5*

Super menu and pleasant but dark furnishings. However we left as the muzak was strong beat and loud, not a relaxing ambience. The ordering was via a QR code from the table, no one greeted us or explained the system. Via QR we got to the checkout and it was asking whether we wanted to give an early tip! What for? We were doing all the work so far. Also it took so long via the internet that the muzak had time to annoy us and we left. Shame, as the menu looked really interesting.

The place was extremely comfortable and the floor, tables and chairs were very clean. The food was appetising and overall very neat.The staff were incredibly helpful and kind.The food overall was very nice the salad inpaticular was contradictory, in a good way , to the burger.Delicious. 5 stars out of 5

Hickorys and Beefy Boys were fully booked so floro lounge a third choice but actually much better than expected. Burgers were delicious, cocktails cheap and tasty tapas. Really lovely friendly staff. Comfy and nice atmosphere. Thursday evening. 2 adults 2 kids
