We tried this establishment on the recommendations of local residents. The whole experience was excellent and I will now also recommend you try Tasty Foods. The service was extremely friendly and cheerful, the food outstanding, and we had a fantastic evening with our visiting friends. We shall be regulars here in future I think.

Ok but pork aint fresh its frozen and re cooked and tough… When fresh its 10/10 other wise ur not getting what you pay for….

This was so disappointing. Our usual takeaway was closed so tried the misnamed “Tasty food”. . We ordered prawn toast as a starter and it was the worst prawn toast I’ve ever had. It was fried bread with no evidence of anything prawn like and no sesame seeds. It just didn’t look or taste like prawn toast and it got left. My husbands duck in black bean sauce was pretty tasteless although to be fair had plenty of duck in it. My fried fish in black bean sauce was awful. It arrived in slimy batter that made me feel sick. The chips were fine but the rest of the food ended up in the bin. We would not recommend this place and will never go back.

In my point of view this is the best Chinese in town, we moved to Battlefield & wanted to try somewhere different, great food, great fast delivery, we cannot fault this place at all, will always be using Tasty food for our takeaway, staff always friendly on the phone & delivery driver is so polite, great service would definitely recommend

This was the best Chinese food I have had in Shrewsbury. I was staying with my family so treated them. We decided to try a different Chinese as we had been disappointed in the past. The food came hot and like its name TASTY ---everything was excellent and would be ordering from here again and again.

I remember my parents using this takeaway as a child and I’m sure it’s been around since the mid eighties,through my adult years I have tried every Chinese takeaway in Shrewsbury and eaten Chinese food in many different city’s and countries,however for the last few years there is only one takeaway i now use..Tasty Food..Please ignore the bad reviews!!! The curry sauce is absolutely beautiful and not the usual out of a packet job we can all buy!! The crispy beef,chilli and salt dishes etc etc are fantastic..friendly service and speedy delivery..many takeaways don’t stand the test of time,these guys have because they are bloody brilliant.👌

Went in the bin. Wasn’t fit for consumption. Chips were hard and scabby. Prawns in the Singapore chowmein we’re still hard you could bounce them off the floor. The chicken curry sauce wasn’t curry it tasted like a tomatoey gravy 🤢..the egg fried rice was brown and orange. I’ve literally never seen or smelt anything like it. First time I’ve had from there and definitely the last! How they have a 4 I don’t know 🤦🏻‍♀️ The only thing good was the service and the cans of coke were cold 😂

My partner wanted some Chinese food and we tried here for the first time, it was also the last time. Really wasn't good, whenever we pass the place we always joke about the name Tasty Food now. We could offer some alternatives for the word Tasty that's for sure.

I love this place! Even if only for the gravy (it's amazing!!) But it's not only the gravy that keeps me coming back, it's the lovely atmosphere of the staff, the food, and the way the look after you like you are part of the family! Great family run Chinese that are happy to make you whatever meal you would like even if it's not actually on the menu, just ask!! Been a favourite of mine since I was a little lad!

The title of this venue is misleading as it's far from the truth. Been here a few times and it's now on my list of places to avoid. There's a reason it's so easy to park outside.

Recommended to anybody. Weekly deliveries. Good food and still hot and fresh when it arrives within a 30 minute window too. Decent menu and any dish can be made if asked. Friendly over the phone. Use Tasty Food every Tuesday. Sweet and Sour chicken cantonese style dish very good. Their curries are second to none especially chicken curry with chunks of chicken and mild curry sauce. One of the best take aways in Shrewsbury!

I had sweet and sour ball with egg fried rice Overall it was nice but the one problem is the sweet and sour is to sweet it tastes like ketchup but with a 10 spoons of sugar but the chicken and rice was lovely my friend had Singapore Noodles and said they were really nice but he did agree with me on the sweet and sour. 😀

Was the worst chinese I've ever tasted , chicken didn't taste anything like chicken , was dry and cold Sweet & sour was like ketchup with soy sauce added to it And beef chilli was like eating a boot , but other than that it was perfect Peking garden is the best one in this area, always busy ,

The food was horrible, not only did the site of the kitchen put us off but the food shelf funny and had a horrid watery substance in the bottom. Me and 2 other people who had the same thing all fell I'll with sickness and diarrhoea. There are obviously some serious problems with the whole place
