The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Overpriced now. 6 quid for large chips, and wasn’t even that large. 3.20 for a regular even. Food was always good and still is though in fairness. Just a shame about the price.

Nice pub if you don’t eat. The ingredients are poor quality. Everything is overdone with little flavour. It took an hour for the food to come although we were one of only two tables. Little wonder it was empty and everywhere else I called was full

The restaurant does not open, residents a ‘sent to’ the adjacent eating house which is ‘ok’ but very loud an noisy, and far removed from any expectation of a tranquil resturant that would be fitting for the Hall itself.

The pub and location are lovely. Old and full of character. The selection of fraught beers and lagers are all none ‘mainstream’ which makes a refreshing change. Sadly the food is really not great and I felt hugely let down as the pub has a lot going for it. Special mention to the calamari which was inedible. I’m not sure how or where the calamari came from but it had no taste other than oil and the ‘calamari’ was just a white tasteless dough in the middle of batter. Also hugely over salted. If the owners/chef haven’t eaten this recently then I would explore them too. The pork terrine however looked really good and a decent potion too. I didn’t get to taste this but my dad did and loved it.

Food was really good value for money. When the food was delivered to the table i only mentioned that there was also a side order. I was not criticising at all. Just mentioning to the server before she walked away. The response was "Ive only got 2 hands" Oh well. Such a remark spoilt the visit. Never mind. Plenty of competition to try in that area !!

You can see the investment that has gone it to place and in a sunny day, it’s a lovely place for the family. The bouncy castles are great to keep the kids entertained, shame they have put more tables by them as the space that was there was great for them to just run around. Overall, nice spot and will be going back. My issue was that I paid £8.50 for a “large” bowl of chips! Please take a look at the image attached! I was shocked and disappointed with that. But, friendly staff and great for the summer.

We took our French friends to have a English breakfast and they were amazed at the wonderful food and service we received a great big thank you to all of the staff

This venue has to be commended for providing a great time whatever time of day you visit. Recently they have introduced mobile food vans all of which are very varied to suit everyone’s taste. They have also planned regular entertainment which is always well attended, recent artists have been Mel & Him and Dan Greenaway, it the recent good weather this has taken place in the large pub garden, last night every table was taken. In the coming weeks I will be attending some fantastic events that the management have worked hard to arrange, activities like charity auctions, quiz evenings and even the odd game of bingo. My opinion of this venue is that it’s going from strength to strength and well deserved a visit. Well done to Tom, Matt Gill and your team for providing a great venue in a beautiful country village.

We had our engagement party here on the 3rd August, fantastic night had by all, buffet was brilliant everyone enjoyed the food, dj kept everyone on the dance floor, staff worked very hard making sure drinks kept flowing, overall a fantastic night would highly recommend for any functions. Thank you to all the management and staff for helping make our night one to remember.

Walked into this bustling pub to catch up with a few friends. The staff promptly sat us down at a table. There are so many great food options to choose from, accommodating pretty much anyone. We were made aware of a wait as the pub was evidently busy but the food was so worth the wait. We were well attended to making sure our glasses were full and we were ok which I thought was lovely. Steak and ale pie, chips and the lasagnas to die for. Couldn’t leave without having a sweet and the crumble of the day was just incredible. All in all a lovely pub with great atmosphere and staff, we can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic place! We were a family group of 13, so we preordered which made things much easier. Communication was speedy and helpful. Everything from the welcome, ambience and excellent service to the delicious food was fantastic and we would highly recommend

El personal es grosero con la presa que no van a estar aquí en absoluto. No traje la galleta que pedimos y no puse jarabe en el café con leche. Luego han tardado más de cinco minutos en poner jarabe en la bebida y traer más de una galleta. Para cuando el café con leche volvió hacía frío. Muy, muy decepcionante no volver aquí nunca más

We recently had a great breakfast here so called back for there fantastic cakes and pork pies so decided to have another breakfast it was super busy but was served quick this time it was not so good the sausage was black and burnt the black pudding was the end pieces and still had the wrap around the tomato was not cooked generally very bad so we left most of it the waitress came to clear the table looked at the plates and asked if there was a problem we wasn’t going to say anything but my wife told her I wasn’t happy she came back and said give them a few minutes as they were very busy the manager refunded the breakfasts which we said there was no need and the waitress who was lovely explained it had never happened before we put it down to them being very busy I can’t honestly say how we were treated that day had in no way deterred me from eating here again as we buy there cakes and best ever pork pies regular the manager showed faith in his kitchen and staff and deserves customer loyalty from us will be back very soon for im sure a very nice breakfast.

Best little eatery in Pershore with lots of table and quickly attending staff. Two fried eggs in toast and a pot of tea were all consumed inside 20 minutes. Breakfast was the best eggs on toast i’ve had outside my house Other small cafes available but this by far was the best

Local pub for drinkers only. Cracking pint of proper beer. Dog friendly. Best pub in the village. The owners build a rapport instantly with those who like beer.
