The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

The menu has changed which is good, however when coming you have to call every time to ensure they are actually serving food, as been turned away a couple of times as they were not serving food Anyway we went in May 2023, the food was fantastic as usual, all home cooked, absolutely top notch. The Bangor burger has changed and is even bigger, in fact it defeated me I could not eat it Very reasonable on the prices, overall excellent and will come back time and time again

Went tonight for the opening night of the new menu. Great gastro food. We had Thai prawns and deep fried Brie. Then pea and mint risotto and sea bass on a paella bed. It was delicious. Well done. Can’t wait to go back. Lovely wine, great service and lovely people.

Nice food, a bit expensive for what it is though and the stupidity of not having facilities to go the toilet or wash your hands before eating leaves me baffled..

We had the best kebab in Hereford. It was Fresh, tasty and authentic even better than when on holiday in Cyprus. We wil definitely go back 👍

What an fabulous pub! This is what a true English pub looks like, feels like, smells like! Amazing...log fire, real beer, professional staff. The pub has so much history , from the date of the building to the contents around the pub. I enjoyed a fine cigar out front, below it's famous Mulberry tree, enjoyed a great pint of Guinness whilst listening to an Owl in a tree opposite the pub. A must place to visit...

Our host Stuart was fantastic - very friendly and helpful.

Had food here was cooked to perfection well done to the chef and all the kitchen staff friendly good atmosphere nice place to be in and not in the centre of town .

Decent food and drinks with friends. I can recommend the prawn starter and chicken burger with chunky chips main.

Didn't have food but called in for a couple of pints and I can't fault it. Lovely setting, great beed and friendly staff

Sunday lunch was a bit of a disappointment, Yorkshire pudding was cold and cauliflower cheese was hard. Service was excellent though

Had the loaded hashbrowns on the Christmas brunch. Was delicious. Alana was our sever and she was lovely and very pleasant to talk to. Would definitely go again for her service.

After being badly let down by another local pub we came here, explained what had happened and they found us a table, the food, service and atmosphere is fantastic, a lovely place to eat, we will highly recommend and will be coming back. The Apple and Cherry Crumble with Custard was awesome ❤️❤️

We came here for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Just wow. Everything about this place is amazing. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The place just feels so homely. We didn't call to book until the morning of our lunch and they managed to squeeze us in. We both had a starter which were both DELICIOUS. And as for the main, well, check out the pictures. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you for having us, we will be back!
