We live locally and have used the Wheatsheaf on a number of occasions but not for a while. However in the last couple of weeks have visited twice. The food was excellent and away from the usual Pub food. Definitely recommended.

Lovely pub, fast service, very helpful polite, professional and friendly staff and absolutely delicious food, very generous portions too. We could have done with a guide to their typical pudding menu online or on Facebook as we couldn’t find a dessert menu and almost went elsewhere but glad we didn’t as the pudding choice was extensive and they were delicious. We had the Zillionaire Tarte and the white choc raspberry roulade.

Beautiful period surroundings , let down by low standards of everything else ! Coffee's were not sufficiently hot enough , & on complaining a waitress seemed somewhat puzzled as to how best to remedy the situation ! The food offerings faired worse , after ordering 'fish-finger' sandwiches , we were dismayed to find , the fish-finger ultra slim (approx 1/4 inch) with a 'dark' filling , on canteen style bread (pre-packed sliced ) , a reasonably tasty salad & tartare sauce accompanied ! I presented these facts to 'the manager' , he laughed & said , well you have eaten it all ! I replied I didn't say it was inedible , but very sub-standard, after trying to appease with 'cakes' I accepted a 50% reduction ! All in all our worst dining experience !

Honestly a great establishment. From the outside doesn’t look like much but my in laws told me how good their food was. We came for a celebratory meal on a sunday with quite a few of us. Managed to get a table as was not very busy at the time in the dining part. Decor is modern but inviting with keeping some traditional aspects. Nice big out side space. Only thing i’d suggest is maybe putting some more kids play things outside although the tyre bundles are a good idea as my kids enjoyed them as did others. The beer i had wasn’t the best but was a carling so i’d blame that it’s carling. Food on the other hand was way better than expected. Came out fast enough not too fast to rush us and you knowing its a microwave jobby but not too long to be annoying. Food was fresh hot and flavourful and some really interesting things on the menu as well as traditional. Fish and chips were fantastic fish was battered nicely with meaty fish and chips were fried to perfection the buffalo taco rolls were absolutely fantastic although just a note maybe offer some type of sauce for the plain rice? Although the guac did help when mixed in. The girl behind the bar even though seemed on her own front of house (possibly manager was there too) was always helpful, happy and smiling. Running about serving the guys watching the match and the people outside as well as serving us, taking food orders, bringing food and taking plates away. Overall a pleasant great experience also value for money very good. Will be coming again probably the best thing in Willenhall 😂

Amazing food with seasonal menus, wonderful service from friendly and passionate who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The garden pods in the secret garden are great for a gathering. You never feel rushed to have the table returned making it a perfect venue for celebrations. To top it all off it’s dog friendly too!!

A wonderful spot especially on a sunny day. Friends and I met there for drinks initially, but ended up staying for food. Outdoor area is spacious and well laid out. Staff were polite & welcoming. Food was fab.

We booked a table today (last minute) for 4 adults as we used to go here all the time for Sunday lunch before it closed a few years ago (we hadn't been back since it reopened). Well, we couldn't have been more disappointed. We had to wait over an hour and a half as they forgot to put our order through to the kitchen even though we had paid, and when it eventually arrived, I can honestly say it was definitely NOT worth the wait. The meat was shredded and dry as a bone, the roast potatoes and stuffing were black and the veg was just like slop and the cauliflower cheese (which is something I would usually kill for) was awful there was no cheesy flavour and no sauce. All the food was extremely salty as well. The Yorkshire puddings (which my husband and son usually adore) were tiny and flat and doughy. We were also disappointed by the staff who offered no apology and just kept saying that our good would be out shortly even after we watched people who came after us finish, pay, and leave . I understand that everyone is human and mistakes can be made but if the staff had have been more helpful and the food was worth the money then I think we could have forgiven but as neither apply then we definitely won't be going back.

True Disappointment Been coming here for lunch each time the car goes in for a service Today it was a miserable experience no welcome greeting. Empty beer bottles on the door step. Ignored by the bar person when told about them. Overheard other customers comment about the miserable bar person. Left for somewhere else to eat.

This is a pleasant place but the food is overpriced and inconsistent. Home cooked cottage pie was sparse in meat and the gravy was like water. The steak and onion pie was bland and the pastry like concrete. Breakfast items are a better offer so I will stick to those in future. It was an expensive lesson. Better food and value elsewhere. Staff are lovely and the on-site shop is a treat but cafe food does not reflect the home grown angle they are promoting.

Poor quality very disappointing. I had the cheese and beans jacket which came out dry and hard so I sent it back. The second was no better. The bagged salad was past it's best and had black bits in. My friend said the bread was dry in her egg sandwich. I won be eating here again.

All what was on offer was 3choices of sandwiches. 2round of bread slice of ham bit of lettuce and 6 crisps and half of coke. £7.50.What an absolute rip off,!!! Don't recommend that place at all.
