Really good Christmas Meal very good value for Money Food and service. 5 Stars for food and service. Regular Visitors and this was our Christmas Lunch We look forward to seeing lizzie and staff in January The Book Club

My Christmas lunch was excellent, and the stuffing was amazing. Our group of eleven who had a variety of dishes..turkey, pork belly and sea bass was universal in saying it was the best Christmas lunch in a pub they’d ever had, and for a group in their seventies that is some accolade!

Have eaten in the past but not recently. Dropped by for a drink and decided to have lunch. Incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable staff, excellent menu and beer selection and the food was delicious and sensible portions. Will certainly eat here again.

Great pub, super food, about a 20 minute or so wait after placing your order but the food is exceptional. Largish car park also room for a huge marquee for events, caravan and camping at back of the Duke. Olde Worlde pub with timber beams and hops hanging for tradition. Hops were hung years ago to absorb cigarette smoke and they got changed every so often.

We have lunch regularly at The Duke of York & it is always excellent. We recently held a birthday party in the adjoining Cider Press (and outside area) which is an ideal setting for our group of 40 - the food was very very good, great range of drinks, the organisation/service excellent and the cooperation/professionalism fist class. Very pleasant meal this evening. Particularly enjoyed the braised beef short rib special. Busy but not bustling. Friendly relaxed atmosphere and great service.

We only come to the area once a year on holiday, so decided to give the Duke of York Inn a go after reading reviews. We weren't disappointed, as soon as we entered (with Buddy the Beagle also) we were made to feel welcome There was no rushing about, all the waitresses were attentive. We both had roast beef Sunday dinner, and can honestly say, it was probably the best we've ever had. For 2x dinners, 2x puddings, 2x pints each and a bottle of wine, less than £80. Perfection. 👍👍 Will be going back before we go home. 😀

A warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff were helpful, friendly and a delight. The food was home cooked and was very tasty. We were a family of six and our dog was made very welcome. So glad we booked our table as it was very busy but this didn't effect the service at all. This was our second visit and it won't be out last.

We stayed in the Glampin site at the rear of the Duke, which is nothing to do with the pub. So with limited choice of venue we went into the bustling pub and got one of the last table. The menu is varied but not exhausting ,went for fish and chips and chicken, ham and leak pie both with chips and vegetables The pie was full of chicken and ham and was delicious as were the veg and thick cut chips. The fish was fresh and the batter very crispy,this came with a choice of peas and thick cut chips. We finished with two lattes plus the cider and lager with the meal all for under £47. A great meal and excellent service, definitely one to try.

Lovely traditional pub. It was very busy when we arrived but luckily we had a table booked. Attentive waitress took us to the table, brought the menu & took the drinks order, then another waitress came to get food order nice variety on the menu (very well organized). The food was served hot & delicious most cleared their plate. Then came the hard decision......... what to have for pudding it was all so tempting. Would highly recommend but book first

Whilst on holiday in Great Malvern we visited this Inn five times for our evening meals. It has an extensive menu which is reasonably priced. We enjoyed all our food. The staff are friendly and the owners made time to chat and made us feel welcome. This Inn is very popular and has a good atmosphere. Would highly recommend it. Looking forward to going again next year.

My family and I had a warm welcome upon arrival, reliable service throughout. You get a 3 course meal at a reasonable price. Not only that, it was one of the best roast dinners I have ever tried. The portion sizes were spot on. When served our food, it came out at just the right temperature! I would definitely recommend and look forward to next time.

Having read good reviews for this pub and as we were staying in the caravan park right next door for a night we decided to book in here for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. It is recommended to book in advance as it seemed busy with reservations while we were there, a) because the food and service is so good but also b) because less tables are currently available due to social distancing requirements). But the landlord is very friendly and helpful and will help if he can. We were not expecting the food to come out as quickly as it did as it is freshly cooked so were pleased with the speed of service, but we did have our booking at 6pm when they open the kitchen for the evening.All staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The locals were also very friendly and welcoming. Everyone is proud of the pub and it makes for a very nice atmosphere.We had a drink in the large garden before our meal which is very well kept and everything inside and outside the pub is very clean.The food is very good and the pint I had was the best I had tasted in a long time - it was very crisp and the glasses were sparkling clean.We would definitely eat here again if we were passing or were staying at the caravan park again and would recommend others to.

The Duke is our local pub but, because of Covid, we haven't been able to visit for several months. Today we did visit and had a super lunch. The staff could not have been more accommodating and handled may various food allergies with ease. The food was excellent and the portions just the right size.Our waitress was particularly welcoming and was superb.We intend coming back again in September, hopefully bringing a couple of friends

I visited the Duke of York with my family. I’d not been there before so called ahead to book a table. The Landlord was very helpful, and allowed us to leave our car whilst we went for a walk around the southern end of the Malvern Hills. The pint at the end of the walk was most welcome and the food was great. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back.

With under 18 hours notice, the team pulled out all the stops for an 18th birthday meal for 12. Nothing was too much trouble! The food was beautiful, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the pub itself is situated in a idyllic location with plenty of parking and a secure playing area for children. Would definitely recommend a visit and will certainly be returning again.

Sitting at the base of the Malvern Hills, this pub is in a lovely location. There is plenty of room to sit outside, or at appropriately distanced tables inside. A selection of beers, well kept, is a good start to the evening, but if you're eating, bring an appetite.The menu features a good range of home-cooked food and the staff are happy to accommodate any individual requirements. Portions are generous, the food very tasty, and the prices look like they are from a menu several year's old - in other words, cracking value.

What a treat to discover this revamped country pub, friendly & enthusiastic landlord and staff, good choices on the menu and tempting specials board. We all had starters and fish & chips, be warned you'll have no room for delicious looking desserts All the necessary Covid precautions were in place, we will certainly be back to work our way through the menu !

We ate here as a family of four. Thursday night the first after the terrible lock down. The pub had a great feel about it. Very safely done and a great bunch of people, including locals. The landlord came to our table and introduced himself and explained that although his current menu looked limited his staff would be flexible if we wanted to suggest what we wanted to eat. I actually thought the Menu looked great with a good selection of traditional pub food and a few others that sounded very good. About 80-90% of the food was home cooked on site. The obvious ones that were bought in were scampi and Cumberland sausage. The food turned up and looked and tasted exactly like it should. Very very good food and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this pub to anyone and it’s worth a visit. We were staying about 6-7 miles away in our caravan on a large campsite thank goodness we found this in our last night otherwise we might of eaten our way through the menu. Keep up the good work and this place will get better and better thank you for our warm welcome.

My wife and I have been to the Duke of York several times since it came under new ownership. Each time we have been given a warm welcome and excellent service. I can strongly recommend the liver and bacon meal. This is served with your choice of potatoes, salad or vegetables. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.The real ale, Butty Bach on this visit, was as near perfect as I could judge.We Will Return.

We've been visiting the Duke Of York for about 5 years now, but this was our first visit since the refurb and new ownership. We arrive da few minutes early but were shown to our table without any fuss. The usual menu is replaced on a Sunday with a Sunday roast option or either beef, lamb, chicken, pork, salmon & sea bass, along with a vegan/vegetarian option, all served with locally sourced veggies. All i can say is the food was out-of-this-world... Perfectly prepared, cooked and presented, and cracking value at £15.95 for a three-course lunch. Nothin was too much troube for the staff, both last night and today. They were all spot-on. They need to keep hold of the chef though, because with his abilities to create such cullinary delights, he's going to get snapped-up by someone....All-in-all, a truly lovely experience and one we WILL be repeating VERY soon.Thanks to all concerend, and see you again soon...... We called in for the first time since the new owners took over. We were very impressed by the welcome, food and service. We had quiche, steak baguette and venison hotpot, all were delicious. Our dog was made very welcome and offered biscuits. We'll definitely come again.
