What a disaster this was - it was the day after Burns Night and the specials on the menu were on again, The Mash was liquified (obviously frozen) the swede/carrot was cold and again very liquid. The star of the show was the haggis. I have been to Scotland many times and my family are from Moray, what was served was not haggis, it was mince and gravy with none of the seasonings of prioper haggis, I suspect that they had run out and thought they could do a mock-haggis. Others on the table had the duck leg roast which looked and was reported to be very nice. The special dessert should have had toasted oats and not row ones as they go soggy if kept in the fridge overnight. My advice to anyone who goes here is to stick with the roast and do not have anything special as the chef seems incapable of that and will pass you off some 'mock'. We did complain and they removed the drinks from the bill - I would have preferred not ro.

We went for lunch on Saturday 11th January. There was a very long wait for our starters and our children were getting very hungry. We had to chase up our orders as we worried if we had been forgotten. One of my friends drinks never came so we had to re-request that. My son's garlic bread starter arrived last and was burnt so we asked for a fresh supply. This was done happily and it was better. I had the chilli squid for my starter, this was over cooked and far too salty. My wife had the brie and felt it didn't have much flavour. Overall, the starters were pretty poor. There was also a fair wait for the mains, although these were generally of better quality. My crispy beef salad was however lacking in beef really. There was no apology for the burnt bread or any apology or acknowledgement over the long wait we endured. We had been here once before and my wife recalls some issues with the food then. We decided to give it a second chance, but based on this second experience, we shall not be returning.

Very slow service and average food at high end prices. We were a table of 7 people. We waited nearly half an hour to be given menus and it was another hour before the food arrived. The meals were of average quality and not very well presented. Having finished the main courses, we waited good twenty minutes before the plates were cleared and dessert offered. There was another twenty minutes before they were served. The restaurant was not particularly busy and there seemed to be adequate staff. At no point did anyone offer an apology for the delays. The meal took three hours for two courses and the bill was over £230. We certainly won’t be returning.

We had the private room upstairs, my dad is ongoing chemotherapy so we were trying to keep him away from any germs as possible but still enjoy a Xmas meal out somewhere. (They even had a separate door he could come directly through). Trying to fit us, partners & kids is too much for anyone's house. 16 in total & could comfortably fit more. Food was lovely, atmosphere, service were all great too. (We had the 3 course Xmas menu so wasn't cheap but definitely delicious & value for money) I'd definitely go there again & like I say that room was perfect for a reasonably sized group. I know as a family we will definitely go again. It was dark when we went but we all said I bet the view would be amazing in daylight. Highly recommend to all.

Poor service and small portions. Some food that was served had been standing for some time before being served (may even have been reheated). Skin forming on the gravy and custard which I have a dislike for. For the price paid, all food should be plated up and served immediately, IMO.

Went here with a few friends for our Christmas meet up. The place is lovely and cosy, great feel to it. However, the service is really lacking. We arrived, were seated at our table and given menus… THIRTY minutes later they still hadn’t come to take a drinks order. THIRTY. We had to go and find someone in the end. It was another 15 before they took the food order. It was like we were sitting in the invisible corner. It wasn’t that busy, plenty of staff milling about! The food was decent when we finally had it, but dreary me, the service was dire. It’s not cheap and they really should do better - I won’t be rushing back

Our U3A History group travelled Malvern Priory from a guided tour. So I needed to arrange a lunch .There were 20 of us and I wanted a pub offering a wide choice, from lite bites to a full 3 course meal. The pub was recommended by our minibus driver. He had used it for his car club lunches several times. The recommendation was fully justified. Due to the large size of our group we pre-ordered as usual. Our contact Rachel was very helpful and unfazed by several changes to size of group and menu choices. Even better were seated at one large table upstairs.... so had this all to ourselves.... real plus with such a large group. On arrival we met Helena was assigned to our group for our lunch. She was very efficient with a lovely personality .... despite having to walk up and downstairs many many times!!! The Plough and Harrow has a chic, comfortable and modern interior ( see website). The views of the Malvern hills would be even better in Summer. I was impressed by the attention to detail eg The first pub have ever seen that had spare reading glasses in case customers have left theirs at home... a very clever and thoughtful touch. Overal a great dining experience and only criticism is that it is just too far from Wellesbourne to eat there more often !! Trevor Dene Valley U3A

This place was recommended to us by the owner of the guest house we were staying at, and I am glad she did. We really were impressed. The building is very large but somehow, they have managed to give it an airy, cosy feeling , if that makes sense. The decor was beautiful and very tasteful. A nice touch was the availability of pairs of reading glasses, if you have forgotten your own, which I had, so very useful. The food just added to the experience and was delicious. The Plough was busy when we attended but the hard working waiting on staff seemed to take it in their stride. I would point out, that there is a very large car park to the rear. Sadly, we were only visiting the area for the Malvern Autumn show, but we fully intend to make this a stop for next years show.

We were looking forward to a nice meal here but were highly disappointed. I booked a table three days in advance, but when we arrived, the waitress sat us down in a walkway at a table for four just next to the bar. As it was just the two of us, we asked to be seated at a different table. They said they were fully booked, so they took us to the back of an adjacent empty room with no heating. The waitress said it would be cold, but it was absolutely freezing, and I spent the evening sitting in my coat. Needless to say, as there was nobody around us, the staff wouldn’t turn up for 30-40 min each time, and in the end, we gave up and didn’t even order dessert. On top of all that, the food was mediocre at best. The burger was dry, and the chicken with gnocchi was soaked in sauce but didn’t taste like anything. On our way out, we looked at the other guests having a lovely evening in a cosy and warm ambience (and empty tables where we could have sat). We will not be going back.

This venue has really come along. In the last few years. Initially I came here for a nice summer drink. But the food has since become the main event. The starter menu is something really special and is very affordable for the level of quality. The mains available are mostly pub classics and a few interesting options, care has been taken to elevate everything to a higher level. There is something for everyone on the menu. I'm personally looking forward to coming back and trying the remainder of the starters.

22/8/24 Happy to say star rating back to 5 star across all areas of service and food. What you read below was obviously just a blip in service. 20/06/24 sadly the star rating I have given has dropped from 5 star last time to a generous 3 star. On entering the premises a large pickup was blocking the entrance-way and on getting into the car-park disabled spaces were being used by people without a blue badge meaning my 94 year old Father could not get a space nearby. To add to this, the previous day, I had driven over specifically to book and reserve a particular table. On arrival today, the table was occupied but fortunately there was another free table in that section. The food was excellent however, the time from ordering to receiving the first course was not. Having timed it at over 15 minutes and probably nearer 20 minutes. I should point out that the staff were again excellent but they were juggling too many balls in the air and a large function upstairs seemed to dominate the service and obviously the capacity of the kitchens to provide a quick turnaround. It is neither the staffs fault who were very attentive or the kitchens. The fault lies in terms of they could not cope with the amount of food required at the same time. As a result, it does not matter how good the food was or how excellent the staff were because after waiting over 15 minutes for your first course you are blinded by that. If you are going there, you will find superb food with a great menu and generally a quick service however, always check to make sure there are no functions running at the same time.

As a world travelled senior, really do not expect this kind of language in a "so called up market" Restraunt. The food was mandioca and quite under classed pub food, BUT at premium prices. I live local and will never frequent this so called upper rated pub again. I do blame the management however for ALL faults. I do remember making similar comments after a previous visit. Service was really good, the atmosphere was pleasant and there were lots of dogs. They had a dog menu. We will definitely go back as the food was very nice.

My husband had beautiful lamb shank unfortunately my belly pork was dry & tough. I had a rotten roast potato & my water glass was smeared badly from dishwasher. Server was very sweet & attentive. Overall OK but for money I would have expected better for money

Treated my wife to a Mother’s Day lunch. We have been here a few times now, and yet again today, it was an excellent experience. Love the decor and ambience of the restaurant. We were late booking and couldn’t get a reservation until 3:15. It made no difference as the food was hot, fresh and despite being absolutely packed, the service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The crew were working their backsides off and nothing was too much trouble. Our young Australian waitress was an absolute gem. Keep up the good work Plough and Harrow

We booked the private dining room for a family lunch of 20 adults and small children. Everything about our experience was fantastic from the communications before the event to the day itself. Everything about the lunch was great. The food was delicious and delivered very efficiently by some lovely staff. The room is super with a view towards the hills and plenty of space for the children in the group to play. It was very relaxing space and we would love to repeat the experience another time.

What an amazing place! We had our wedding meal here yesterday, everyone was so attentive from the setting up (9:30am) to the closing down. Everything was available to us, and if it wasn’t we just had to ask, we had to make adulterations to some meals last minute and there was no mistakes. Everyone had the meals we have previously ordered as well as added on. The food was incredible. They even helped after with the clear down. What more could we ask for! Thank you so much to all the staff especially Rachel u made our day even more special, Thank you!

We have been twice, once with friends and once with family. First time was November 23, second time was Jan 24. On both occasions my wife was served her wine in a glass that had lipstick on it. On the first visit when I took the glass back the guy behind the bar just said sorry and poured the same wine in to another glass, only to find that glass was also dirty. He then went away and came back with a clean glass and poured a fresh glass. Problem sorted, no drama and the food was amazing. We then decided to go again in Jan 24 because the food was so good, but yet again, when we ordered wine, it turned up in a glass with lipstick around the rim, glass and wine was changed with no issue but then we also noticed the water glass’s on the table looked like they had just been brought in from outside. Food for great again though. Overall such a lovely place, staff are great and food is amazing, but when it’s not the cheapest place to go to, over £115 for 3 adults on Sunday lunch, the least you can ask for is a clean glass to drink from.

We have been coming for some years. We always thought it was a quite refined pub. Recently, this has not been the case mostly because of staff and people being excessively loud. We were shocked to see that there were members of staff at the table where this was happening. Being a family, I have to say it is quite inappropriate as you hear many expletives being thrown around very loudly.

After getting lost and needing to eat we happened across here. There is disabled parking near the entrance and a very large car par. Inside it is large and spacious and appears to be split into different eating areas. There is a disabled toilet separate from the main toilets. We both had the lamb roast and in all honesty when it arrived we both thought we would be having something else to eat when we got home due to the shortage of vegetables. However the lamb was exceptionally large and really well cooked and everything was a delight to eat. We couldn’t have eaten any more on the plate if we’d wanted to, however they need to tweak the amount of vegetables, it needed slightly more and slightly less lamb! We both enjoyed the cheesecake dessert and on leaving the premises walked around the car park as we were both so full! Staff were attentive and helpful, they were very busy and we took that into account while waiting for the food to arrive which wasn’t too long. We will definitely be going back.

Had lunch or dinner a few times in the past 2 years and never been disappointed. Lovely garden seating in summer and cozy in door dining in winter. Bill for two varies around £25-£35 a head for a main course and drinks.

Friendly staff good selection of drinks , unfortunately due to staff levels food wasn't available although snacks were offered. Lovely location next to river with plenty of benches, you will have to park up in the town or along the road out as the street has little or no parking.

Came in today with the grandchildren as I thought I’d take them for lunch!! Unfortunately I found it a let down today when I usually love this place, the grand daughter’s chicken Caesar salad had 2 light hairs in which she found and it put her off. She refused to want anything else there. My grandsons meat on his plate was stone cold and the mash that went with my pie of the day was under the heaters too long as it had formed a thick skin on. Wasn’t nice at all. All our drinks got wasted cos the glasses were quite dirty and if not dirty then very old glasses as it looked very dirty. Worse 50 I ever spent. Think this time mixed with the last time I ate here has made me more inclined to go elsewhere in the future. This was horribly disgusting and barely a sorry for the hair being in the food. I come regularly in summer….. my grandsons meat daughter is 9 and refused to eat or drink anything else and I can’t blame her for that. What’s happened to this used to be lovely place ???

Travelled from Redditch after hearing about this and it lived up to the hype! The prices are so good and they do the best burger. Have been there least twice a month ever since. Great for family’s who don’t want to pay lots of money for the food and the owner and staff are nice they make you feel very welcome.
