This venue has to be commended for providing a great time whatever time of day you visit. Recently they have introduced mobile food vans all of which are very varied to suit everyone’s taste. They have also planned regular entertainment which is always well attended, recent artists have been Mel & Him and Dan Greenaway, it the recent good weather this has taken place in the large pub garden, last night every table was taken. In the coming weeks I will be attending some fantastic events that the management have worked hard to arrange, activities like charity auctions, quiz evenings and even the odd game of bingo. My opinion of this venue is that it’s going from strength to strength and well deserved a visit. Well done to Tom, Matt Gill and your team for providing a great venue in a beautiful country village.

This country pub is the best in Worcestershire by far. My husband and I are frequent visitors sometimes just for a drink with their excellent selection of real ales and wide selection of gins but we often go for evening dinner and drinks, the menu is very varied and changes with the seasons. The main reason we use the Fox & Hounds is because you are guaranteed excellent locally sourced meats, the service from all staff is excellent and they are very knowledgeable about what’s in the menu and what guest ales are on offer. I feel very happy taking my friends with me because I know they will not leave disappointed, the majority of the time after dinner we will end our night with a drink in their Lulsley Room, we’ve always been made welcome by the locals and the fact the pub is dog friendly is a bonus for us.

A very clean friendly country pub where you are always made welcome. The food is excellent and locally sourced, you would expect for that reason you are going to pay more, this is not the case all meals are very reasonably priced the Sunday lunch is fantastic and a meal we keep returning for.The management and staff team cannot help you enough to make sure you are having a good time, it is very apparent that Tom and his team endeavour to get to know their customers and are always happy to make time to have a conversation with them. The selection of ale's is very good and is changed very regularly (you are offered a taster if you are not sure you will like it). The Fox & Hounds as a massive selection of gin's and Friday evening is "gin night"There is a lovely beer garden that is enclosed and surrounded by lovely plants, flowers and climbers, there is also a large play area for the children with climbing frames etc.In conclusion I would rate every aspect of this business as 5 star.

We were staying nearby and popped in for supper on the recommendation of our host.We ate in the restaurant area, it was quiet as it was a Monday night but a good buzz in the bar area where food is also served.Very friendly welcoming staff, good menu selection with great emphasis on local produce. Well priced, good quality food. We returned on the Thursday evening, lots of tables booked ( celebrations for exams results) . Again friendly staff and we were looked after mainly by a really friendly young adult female. Despite being busy, service and quality of meal was superb. Seasonal menu was on offer we both had handmade pies, one beef, one seasonal vegetable. The pastry was mouth wateringly delicious. Highly recommend, great atmosphere, great food, great staff.

The Fox and Hounds is one of the best pubs for miles. As always a warm welcome, and help on deciding on our drinks. We ordered sandwiches and sides of chips. Beautiful bread, and well filled sandwiches. Brought out to us in the garden by two lovely young ladies, one of whom had only started today and was doing really well. Picked up advance copy of Christmas menu which looks fabulous. Had the Christmas meal last year and it was great. Highly recommended, thanks to all. Multi award winning!!!

Came with family, specifically to try the sunday lunch as the reviews on trip advisor were good. We were not disappointed. We all enjoyed a starter, home made scotch egg, halloumi chips with sweet chilli sauce and whitebait were enjoyed by our family group. This was followed by a huge roast of local pork with crackling, vegetables, yorkshire pudding, roasties and mashed potato and stuffing. Two of our party had a burger which was pronounced delicious and a vegetarian lasagne. If there was any minor complaint it was that the young lady who served us did not know what vegetables were on the plate when asked and the burger was asked for without cheese and this had to be returned to the kitchen. However, a new burger was immediately served and this was fresh, definitely not something which had been 'retouched' in the kitchen. These very minor issues would not prevent us from returning to the Fox and Hounds again.

Contacted the pub at very short notice to book a table for 3 for Sunday lunch, Tom was very accommodating by allowing my 95 yr old mother in law to have a child’s portion ( which in her words was huge). Natalie, our waitress looked after us all so professionally the service was 1st class, she kept coming back (but not intruding) to make sure the food was ok and that we were enjoying ourselves, actually we can’t wait to come back again, we have friends that will be visiting us over the next few weeks, I can guarantee that it will be the Fox & Hounds that we will be bringing them to for excellent food and service. Finally can I please ask that our compliments to the chef are given as the staff in the background really don’t get the recognition they deserve.

I rang to book a last minute table for the next day and despite sounding busy they were happy to fit me in with a slight time alteration. When we arrived we had a warm welcome and the pub was a beautifully presented traditional pub. The atmosphere felt friendly and bubbly. It was lovely to have some none Sunday Roast options on the menu (we visited on a Sunday) and the food we had was fresh, good quality and tasted great! Took my parents to The Fox & Hounds at Lulsley last night for a meal and I have to say it was lovely. The food was really good, cooked to perfection, seasoned just right (none of us reached for the condiments on the table) and portions that didn't leave you feeling bloated or still peckish. The desserts were difficult to choose between but the cheesecake I had was very tasty without being overly sweet. Even the service was pleasant, attentive without being intrusive. If you are looking for good food, in a beautiful dining area with good friendly service then this is the place for you, well done Tom you made us feel looked after, thank you

Had lunch a few days ago and this was lovely. A good menu with lighter bites and meals with a good choice available. Attention was given by the chef in advance of the menu as I had mentioned when booking of one of the party having a food intolerance/ allergy. The menu had been personalised for my friend to select from, to ensure his allergen was not included in any form. This was definitely a first and extremely thoughtful of them. After a positive experience, we returned today with another friend for a delicious Sunday lunch, again a varied choice to suit all tastes on the menu. Very nice starter of haloumi chips, tasty and a good sized portion. Served with lovely fresh vegetables and all the accompaniments the main course was superb. Next time I will leave room for a dessert.....they look amazing.Good range of beers and other drinks.I like the look of the family area and garden at the back. We most certainly will be returning with our granddaughters to enjoy the garden and play area and again the children’s menu looks very good.Staff were friendly and polite and service and waiting times were appropriate.Thank you.

We booked a table for the Sunday Roast and the team at The Fox and Hounds couldn't have been more accommodating - responding to all our requests and providing multiple options for even the most challenging dietary requirements. We had the private dining room which was lovely, light and perfect for a large group. Went here on 7 Apr 19 for Sunday lunch. Were greeted warmly by the friendly bar staff. Choice of drinks was excellent. We were shown to our table and asked if it was ok or would we prefer to sit somewhere else - nice touch. One order of roast pork and one of roast beef (rare or well done - not often you get this with a Sunday roast). Roasts were served with roast potatoes, mash, carrots, leeks, cabbage, roast parsnips, Yorkshire pudding on both and stuffing and crackling with the pork and a separate portion of cauliflower cheese on the side. Extra gravy and sauces were offered. Everything was cooked to perfection and really tasty. Although extremely full we did opt for pudding. I had the apple and rhubarb crumble and my other half had lemon cheesecake. Both were delicious. We will definitely be returning again in the near future.

Food was generally good, outstanding were the scotch egg, and the haloumi chips. Not so good was the burger, a little rubbery, so probably best avoided. Charming garden at the back where the children were able to let off steam after lunch. Total bill for the afternoon just £270 so very good value for money. As stated in other reviews, this pub has recently reopened under new ownership. It’s early days yet for the refurbishment. It’s had some cosmetic work done which has made a real improvement in our opinion, but I’m sure there is more to come. The bar lacked a bit of atmosphere and was a little chilly; the fire hadn’t taken unfortunately. However, the decor is getting there and the service was friendly and then came the meal. Wow! I’ve eaten many a Sunday lunch in nice pubs over the years and they’ve been fine, but I’m rarely blown away. The Sunday lunch today was the best we’ve eaten in a pub for years. My husband had the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and I had the salmon. The array of vegetables was fantastic; seven different types if you include the potatoes, and all utterly delicious. The beef was pink and succulent and the salmon crispy skinned and cooked to perfection with such a tasty sauce to go with it. For £11.95 each it was real value for money and definitely an experience to be repeated. We are locals and had eaten in the pub once and only once before a few years ago as it was not worth a re-visit. It is definitely somewhere where we will now eat again and again and again! Good luck for the future to the new owners. I hope your pub goes from strength to strength. See you again. Regards Catherine

Great Pub before it was sold a couple of months ago. Closed for a while for 're-furb. Apart from new lights and a lick of paint it was uninspiring AND the ladies toilets were leaking when we went to the Jazz night party on19/1217. Having booked a table for four three weeks in advance, another party had taken our table and the manager was incapable of finding where we were due to sit - no seating plan. He then set up a table in the empty, unlit side room where we were away from the main dining/music area. We refused to sit in there and so found another table in the main area which was currently unoccupied, then the people who had booked that table made a fuss because we had taken their table.

We`ve just got home from the Fox and Hounds after a fantastic Sunday lunch , there were four of us including a 7yr old and we all really enjoyed our visit , three of us had roast beef and yorkshire pud and it was excellent . The veg was cooked to perfection and I am very fussy ! The staff were really friendly , you just couldnt fault it but the place was empty , God knows why , everyone is missing an absolute treat , we shall return .

Stopped here as a party of 10 after a lovely walk, including 4 children and a dog. Arrived at 1.30pm . Sat outside as sunny day although they were perfectly happy for us to take the dog in. Garden was very comfortable with nice wooden tables. Food was very good. Ploughman's lunch was excellent. 3 different cheeses, thick ham., boiled egg, 2 types of pickle and pickled onions, mixed salad and cristy baguette. All for £5.95 brilliant. All the food came out together and plenty of sauce. We were all happy and would definitely return if in the area again.

After a lovely walk around Bromyard we needed to have a sit down and something to eat. Food was lovely and the staff and service was excellent. Well done all.

Absolutely first class. The staff are warm, friendly and very accomodating. Nothing was too much to ask, including taking the father in law home. Left with great memories of the day and that is down to the reception.

We were impressed by the range of vegetarian (and even vegan) choices, and by the straightforward helpfulness of the staff. It was a great end to a country walk. (The beer was good too!)

Took a ride out for sunday lunch. The gentleman behind the bar was very welcoming and was only too willing to explain about the ciders he had on sale. My husband and I had the sunday roast, beef and pork. Lovely, plenty of fresh veg and meat. Desert was huge! I picked the ice cream as I always do and had four scoops not realising how large it would be, but it tasted wonderful. My husband had the banoffee pie and ice cream and said it was very nice. Coffee to finish. The place itself is very nice, pity it was raining as the gardens are well kept with plenty of flowers. Fresh flowers on the tables as well, not plastic! I will go again definitely. Decided to go here as it was not one of these places where they pack them in like Toby Inns. We went early and it was very peaceful and enjoybable.

Dropped in for a quick snack recently and ordered a steak, mushroon and stilton baguette and three panninis for the children. The food was excellent and there was so much that we could not finish it all. There is always a lovely atmosphere in this pub, whether it is at the bar with the locals, in the restaurant with the diners and outside in the large garden. It is also in a very pretty part of the Worcestershire countryside, so you will have to drive unless you are lucky enough to live in Lulsley.

Wish we had such a great pub in our village. Family and dog friendly large beer gardens with play area and fab views. Good pub grub and fantastic service. Their beer festivals definitely are the cherry on the cake with lots going on for all members of the family including the four legged kind!

Having arrived in a bit of a tiz due to transport probs we were very impressed at the welcome, food and drink available . The owners were friendly as were the locals and when we told them what had happened we were offered a lift, so obliging and unexpected. Great place and worth a detour fab cider.

We are a group of 20 or so senior walkers who enjoy a fortnightly outing. Last week we started and finished at this very pleasant country pub and received a very good welcome and some equally good lunchtime food. The service was very good indeed and the various orders, chosen from the pub blackboards and ordered in advance, were served quickly and with a smile. One or two people commented that their food could have been hotter when served but overall the food was very good and particular mention was made of the sizzlers. We enjoyed our visit and will certainly return in the future.

We always eat at the Grovewood when we stay at the spa as, besides being so convenient, it is such a lovely experience. We have been several times over the last few years, but this was a particularly nice meal. We also had breakfast here the next morning. I apologise that I can't remember the staff's names but they were all really lovely, one was very funny, and they really made our stay.

Shame it closed down and has for a few years. Last went 2018 when open was OK. Then again meet friends in there 2015 and every year before that was such a nice place to meet

Went here with a few friends for our Christmas meet up. The place is lovely and cosy, great feel to it. However, the service is really lacking. We arrived, were seated at our table and given menus… THIRTY minutes later they still hadn’t come to take a drinks order. THIRTY. We had to go and find someone in the end. It was another 15 before they took the food order. It was like we were sitting in the invisible corner. It wasn’t that busy, plenty of staff milling about! The food was decent when we finally had it, but dreary me, the service was dire. It’s not cheap and they really should do better - I won’t be rushing back
