We went for a 70th birthday celebration. The birthday girl had ordered savoury croissants, which were really fresh and tasty. The drinks were hot and there were plenty to choose from. Order downstairs if you are going upstairs to sit.The staff will then bring your order to the table. The staff are this venue's trump card., so welcoming, fun and friendly. And, the icing on the cake, Michelle treated the birthday girl to a free hot drink. Highly recommended.

Brilliant coffee and breakfast! The quality of the coffee is outstanding, rich and perfectly brewed. Breakfast was delicious – everything tasted fresh and was beautifully presented. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely caring, making you feel welcome from the moment you step in. The cozy atmosphere and attention to detail make this place a gem for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend it – I’ll definitely be back!

Terrible service, place is run by kids who don't have a clue. Needs a good manager. There were 4 of us and we each ordered cheese toasties, they couldn't time it so that we had our food and drinks at the same time or even the sandwiches at the same time, I.e. 3 of us had nearly finished whilst one person was still waiting. Food was nice but service atrocious. When we complained there was no offer of any recompense or even a free cuppa. Awful

I'm not sure if Arden's has changed hands recently but on Saturday the 23rd March when I went in with my Daughter and Grandson the service was not very good. Also I felt it was quite expensive. For a hot chocolate (no cream), a Mocha and an Americano plus a sausage roll and two scones came to almost £20. My Grandson asked if he could have another sausage roll, imagine my shock when we were told it was £4.50 !!! The young gentleman on the till even checked it for a second time to make sure there wasn't a mistake; needless to say we did not purchase a second sausage roll ! One positive note the staff were very polite !

There is nothing pretentious about this long established coffee shop. Staff are friendly. Place is spotlessly clean. Food and drink are delicious and a good price. Can highly recommend the ciabattas and the scones. Seriously, the best scones we’ve ever tasted! Homemade and huge! Cheese scones and fruit scones. Have both!! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I are visiting the area to celebrate our anniversary. After walking up and down the high street for a Café we spotted Arden's and we are so glad that we did! From the moment you walk in you know it's a great place just by the difficulty to get any seating. Don't let that put you off however as that just shows how amazing it truly is because everyone wants to be here! We both ordered a Panini, I had the Brie and Onion, my husband the Chicken, Bacon and Cheese. Absolutely beautiful! So fresh and delicious! The Brie just oozed out of my Panini! We shared a caramel shortbread afterwards and even my sweet avoiding husband loved it! Now to the actual drinks.... My husband is picky with his coffee as he likes it a particular way. His Cappuccino did not disappoint him! I went for a pot of tea and was pleasantly surprised by the use of tea leaves instead of a tea bag! Do not pass up an opportunity to visit this little coffee shop! You will not be disappointed!

Paid nine pounds for two bacon sandwiches/paninis. They both had only one rasher of bacon in them, served with salad and coleslaw. We should've took them back really but couldn't be bothered. Appalled at only one rasher in each baguette, not worth it. Smiling waitress was the only positive thing about the experience and we won't be returning

My title tells the story, really. This must surely be The Place To Go for a coffee in Kenilworth. A pleasant, modern, airy cafe in a lively shopping area of this undistinguished but pleasant small town, Ardens has cheery staff and serves a very good coffee. The croissant I ate was also above average. The remarkably modest bill was £2:20. The nearby Costa could not hope to match the quality and I suspect a coffe alone would cost more. It's a no-brainer!

This cafe is bright, light and so very cosy. There are various seating configurations from tables to soft leather chairs, inside and outside as well as upstairs. You’re greeted with a smile. They make a mean coffee here too. My coffee was strong but so smooth and silky on my tongue. This coffee shop one of my top world wide. Each time I travel to Lemington Spa Coventry, this is the place I choose to drink coffee. Food cabinet looked delicious, dishes coming out looked fabulous. I visited this cafe with a friend for coffee and cake yesterday. Whilst we were ordering our drinks the member of staff operating the coffee machine sneezed into her hands. She then did exactly the same again, turned to get hold of a blue food paperwipe to blow her nose and check her reflection on the coffee machine that her face was clean and then proceeded to go back to making coffees WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS! When we prompted the serving staff as to her lack of hygiene all we received in reply was a shrug of her shoulders. Will not be returning. Hygiene training definitely required.

Up market coffee shop in central Kenilworth. Attractive decor with comfortable seating though quite tightly packed in downstairs. Good quality coffee and a nice atmosphere though the waiter was slow in remedying an incorrect order. However the visit to the unisex toilet is to be avoided. It clearly has not been cleaned thoroughly for some time. Urine stained seat and a smell which was shared with the adjacent table every time the door was opened. It's time for an upgrade so that the toilet befits the overall quality of this establishment. Staff informed so hopefully this will be remedied very shortly....I will be checking it out.

If you want to spend £4.50 on a panini that will be served with the life crushed out of it, as if it has been attacked by a rhino driving a steamroller then this is the place to go. If you also fancy finding in this poor, dessicated, depressed piece of dough something that resembles fatty, undercooked flacid bacon and a token slice of brie then again, order away. What a poor excuse for a piece of lunchtime fayre. To be fair, they did refund the money, but had they not I'd not have eaten it anyway. Coffee is OK, albeit lukewarm. We were given an apology for any food we ordered taking a while to come, but we were very happy with the customer care we were given and being offered a coffee whilst we were waiting for our food. The food in here is not exceptional, and therefore does not afford them any sympathy where the service is concerned. It simply takes too long to get served after ordering, with children's items being bought out well after other items. Then forgetting to include ordered items in the children's boxes. The staff seem rather uninterested in what they are doing , and don't really seem to engage as a team. It's good to support local business , but next time I'll go to Costa Coffee or the Rocking Horse next door.

After a number years of loyalty to Costa we decided a change was in order and wandered into Arden's. We made a good decision as, to our taste buds, the coffee is better and, to our ears, the decibel rating is lower as it is a lot quieter due to being smaller with less customer foot-fall - but never empty. The cakes we have tried have all been very good and the panini's slightly better than those on offer at Costa, albeit we didn't have any complaints about either at Costa to be fair.We also the like the fact that we order and sit down and our drinks and food are then brought to us. A good compromise from pure table service. For now Arden's offers us exactly what we want from our local coffee shop - part from on a Sunday morning when we treat ourselves to toast and Costa has the edge then.Overall, highly recommended.

Did not complain as I wanted to eat at same time as my family which included two young children. A young male waiter with dark hair was working hard serving food clearing tables and apologising for delays! The rest off the staff were mainly standing around chatting! This was apart from the lady serving drinks and the one making food . A not wonderful (but not awful ) experience.

This was the second time we had been here. This time was better than the first - the door had been fixed and so there wasn't a cold wind blowing into the cafe. Food is very average, although better than the 'chain cafes'. The staff are OK - they meet your needs but a smile now and again would be nice! Only the downstairs is open on a Sunday so it can seem a little cramped, especially, as today, there was another customer in speaking at the top of his voice (to the person sitting next to him) about his travels in Australia - the rest of us didn't need to know!

Popped in for a tea and cake, slightly over priced for why you get and not great customer service, but a nice touch is fresh tea leaves not a cheap t bag,

After being thoroughly "Shopped Out" for Xmas, we were desperate for some of Arden's special sustenance, so off we trod to our favourite Kenilworth Coffee Shop, as usual, excellent service and excellent fare - what more could you ask for? Every time we are within 10 miles of Kenilworth, we know where we will end up.....!

We popped in here for a quicky lunch whilst at work & from start to finish it was a shambles. None of the staff had any idea what was going on, i was constantly told that they were understaff & there would be a short delay on food. I sat down with my drink & half an hour late a bland, limp panini turned up. All they do is get the panini from the fridge & stick it in a grill, i have no idea why it took so long & there were very little customers in there so they were not exactly flat out. Will never return

Popped in for a latte and hot chocolate. Coffee was luke warm and didn't really taste of coffee. Hot chocolate far too sweet - un drinkable. Great shame they don't do small child sized hot chocolate - £2.20 for a small is too expensive. Will stick to Costa from now on.

I am an avid kenilworth Costa/Starbucks fan but thought I'd give this independent a try. Shouldn't have bothered. I ordered a chicken salad roll and a cappuccino. Coffee was just ok. Roll arrived a while later it was dry and the bread was stale, along with wilted brown lettuce on it. I took it back to the counter and they offered to make a fresh one but I asked if I could have something else instead. I chose a tuna, cheese and red onion panini (which they had the cheek to charge me an extra 70p for!) anyway when it came the cheese wasn't melted in the centre and it was the messiest panini I'd ever seen. It had all fallen apart and wasn't very appetising. Such a shame they have not got it right in the customer service department.

Went here for lunch on a saturday afternoon. The soup of the day was lovely and was presented so rustically! Lovely hot apple drink too. Can get very busy due to an overload of pensioners but it is kenilworth, so it's expected. The service was great. Prices were fair, bit expensive but not to a ridiculous degree.

We often drink at the Rose and Crown but had never taken family there before, including a 2 year old! From the moment that the staff sorted seating out for us, the customer service was exceptional. Quick and friendly service, and the staff could not have been more helpful in helping to keep the 2 year old amused, particularly the kind man who brought smarties to the table for her (I didn't take his name, but he had his own 2 year old I believe!). The atmosphere was very welcoming, and our family were thoroughly impressed. The Guinness was very good too (appreciated by my Irish Brother-in-Law!!)

A great relaxing catch-up with friends today. Friendly service and flavoursome food. I had a very tasty fish cake, others said their meals were good too - fish and chips, smoked salmon ciabatta, fisherman's basket, piri piri chicken burger, chicken pate. Pudding didn't disappoint either - triple chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, Panna Cotta with summer berry compote. Good service, good food, good value. I'll be back. Another visit today. It didn't disappoint. Again friendly service, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious whitebait and marmalade bread and butter pudding. Again, good service, good food and relaxing atmosphere. And good prices. The Anchor never fails to deliver - delicious food, friendly, efficient service and a cosy atmosphere. Well done
