As suggested by the Manager following my earlier comments I made a return visit. Again virtually all the metal tables were sticky & clearly hadn’t been wiped from the day before. I was not the only customer moving from table to table trying to find a clean one. It was not at all busy nor had it been when I passed by twice earlier in the day. I have seen tables being cleared of glasses & dishes many times over 3 separate visits but I have never seen a table being wiped or a member of staff even carrying a cleaning cloth. Tea was served on a dirty tray & again in a tea pot which was chipped & stained on the outside.

Went here for our wedding anniversary meal. My husband's steak was fine. My vegan pasta dish came with normal parmesan cheese on ( I am checked it was vegan before I ordered and it clearly stated vegan on the menu), replaced with weak bland tomato soup with pasta in, that was taken away and replaced with the other vegan option of burger and chips. Picked the burger up and it literally dripped a pool of oil/water onto the wooden board it came on. No sauce dressing which it said on the menu. The waiter and manager were very polite and professional. Chef needs retraining or sacking! I ended up with a Tesco meal deal in the hotel room. Avoid if vegan

Wonderful garden patio with views of the river and mature plants. Sunny and shady areas with lots of space. Only stopped for a few drinks so cannot comment on the food or accommodation. But the venue and cottages looked nice and well kept.

We had a dreadful family lunch at the Diglis conservatory restaurant. We have been several times before and the food was excellent. The chef has changed and we waited over 40 minutes for soggy lukewarm beef and Stilton pies and indifferent crab and prawn linguine. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very pleasant. We will not return and would most definitely no longer recommend this restaurant.

The view of the river from this restaurant is superb. Also the service was attentive and cannot be faulted. However the food could have been better. In a restaurant like this, I would not have expected to be served burnt toast with both the soup and the mushroom starters. In addition, the chips were served with salt crystals attached to them - not good for someone trying to reduce their salt intake! You can easily add salt to a meal if required but, once added, it is impossible to remove it from a dish.

Dropped in for a spot of lunch whilst walking along the river. Great friendly service, a good selection, enjoyed the fish and chips, the chicken wings with a generous portion and also the cauliflower alternative, inspired with the addition of blue cheese. Also the sandwich was well filled. Overall a very good lunch with nice views over the river.

We had an afternoon meal and breakfast because of an event we were attending in the evening. Both meals were excellent and the service was attentive.

Light lunch Friday afternoon, wonderful setting great waiting staff, made to feel welcome just on a drop in lunch with my friend.. home made soup minestrone wonderful with warm bread as eating in a restaurant should be.. go away happy with well cooked tasty food.

Went on Sunday for lunch and had the roast beef. The vegetables were plentiful and really tasty but the roast potatoes were anaemic looking and quite hard and the beef was overcooked and had gristle around the edges. Such a shame as the restaurant is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the river.

£7.00 for a tomato and rocket salad in a small bowl, I was told they had no butternut squash (included on the menu) but that they could still make me a very nice salad.......well I'm sorry to say it wasn't! It was absolute daylight robbery and wasn't enough to feed a sparrow! Very very disappointing!

We stayed overnight, so are able to judge both evening meal and breakfast. We shared some dipping bread and olives which was lovely, my partner had the salmon and I had the burger, both were delicious, my only comment on the burger would be a small bowl of coleslaw and gherkins would have made it even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also lovely, clearly high quality ingredients are used , my only constructive criticism is that the full English consisted of 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 bacon rasher, half a mushroom, half a tomato, half a portion of black pudding and a small quantity of beans, which is a little on the stingy side.

Great location and I have enjoyed quite a few lunches here this winter / spring. I really appreciate the fact that outside seating is always available and care is still taken re covid. Lunches are delicious, generous portions, good value and all the staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful.

Been here 3/4 times. Experience is pretty much always the same. The three stars are for the view. It is in a beautiful location. However, when we went in we waited at the door for a while with lots of waitresses walking past. We were not acknowledged or told to sit anywhere (I had to go up to the bar and ask). Once we had had sat down the service was initially okay, although if we wanted more drinks or more food, I had to keep getting up to try to find the waitress. It was not busy at all, but because we were sat in the conservatory the servers were not coming in and out very much. The food was disappointing. The menu is extremely limited and overpriced for what it is. I had the burger which was very over cooked. Chips were also quite tasteless. There was not much else to choose from. It is in such a beautiful location that it’s real a shame more money isn’t invested into the food and service.

We visited the Diglis House on Sunday for lunch. Staff were pleasant enough but the very limited menu meant that i had the Burger and chips. I have to say that priced at £14 it was the worst burger i have had . Very very dry and overcooked meat. Cant say much for the slice of tomatoe and bits of lettuce. I wasn't at any point asked how my meal was so did tell a member of the staff when i paid. Not much of a response! No good just relying on the view out of the window.
