Vue Bar in Worcester

Friendly,convenient bar with good selection of drinks including Guinness Zero ( yay ! ) . Great fresh rolls.

Like the hotel, Severn View, that it's attached to.......a bit of a dive. Would never be my first choice if I ever visit Worcester again.

The beer taste was so watery, like a bar- it was not that place where I wanted to have a drink. I noticed there are few board games.

looks on the map that it should be on the river, but it's on a roundabout ! needs a complete overhaul and beer choices were mainly "off" .. i don't intend to be back in a hurry

Visited when it was early and quiet but the staff were friendly, and had a good choice of drinks.

Simple, but great for a fast stop by.

We stopped at this bar on our way into Worcester Races. Its a very nice place, very friendly, good beer an food. we enjoyed it so much we called in again on our way back to our hotel after the Races.

Relaxing bar not too crowded for a race day and only a short walk to the course 10 out of 10 for me

Been using it in the day time since1988 .Good food and drinks are served all day long. Nice view of the river and Malvern hills .you can while away and relax .

Absolutely awful experience. The staff were so rude and even swore at us at one point for using the toilet. AVOID this pub , really not worth it. Absolute dive. The staff need to be trained in customer service if they actually want custom.

Visited after our game v Raiders with all of the Sikh Hunters FC squad. Made to feel welcome n had a good time.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had, the polish chef working here is amazing! Indie the owner is a great guy, couldn’t be a more friendly inviting host. We weren’t planning on eating here we were just in for a quick drink. Indie talked us into trying the food, we ended up with the most amazing chicken meal, the chef came out to see us and check we were enjoying the food. We were then given tasters of other meals he had, I’m a fussy eater and tbh only tried things to be polite but it was all amazing. This is 5 star food at 1 star prices!!

Friendly bar with good selection of beers. Great place for a big group and good for watching sport. Handy for a few before going over to the cricket.

Called in here as we always do after the evening racing at the nearby race track (.9.45 pm.) We were served our drinks and sat in the alcove to the right of the bar. At 10.pm the two girls behind the bar carried a set of bars and installed them to the side of the bar ! We asked if we were still OK to carry on drinking? Yes they replied. At 10.10pm I went to the bar and waited while the barmaid poured drinks for the youngmen at the other end of the bar. When I ordered another round of drinks I was told the bar was closed ! She said she did not know we were there !! This was 10.10pm. Seems a very funny time to close the bar! So how come the two young barmaids could serve the three young men and not us four oldtimers? Think I know why! It was then it was suggested we leave.

What used to be a scruffy pub has now become a scruffy attempt at a trendy bar. Plenty of beyyer pubs in the city centre.

Had my Daughters 21st at the Vue, put on a Salsa instructor to get people up dancing with house music afterwards : Fantastic night !! One my Daughter and friends will recall and cherish for years 😀 All stayed in Hotel. Great night, Great people. Thanks Indy, Dan and the team. Dave G.

Great atmosphere, welcoming staff with well priced drinks. Had a fun night here at the weekend and will be returning to enjoy the good variety of drinks.

Having lived in the Worcestershire area, it was with much regret that I had to stay in a hotel whilst coming to visit family over the bank holiday. Much deliberation was put into searching for a nearby, cost efficient hotel to stay in for 3 days over the bank holiday weekend, however I chose to stay in the river side hotel 'Severn Vue Bar', and a great choice it was! Hotel staff were extremely vibrant and friendly, making me feel very welcome from the first moment I entered the hotel. Upon entering our room, I was delighted to find it modestly sized and very clean, something of great importance to myself and my colleagues, having only the need to 'rest our heads' in the room, as it were. Staff were very helpful when questioned regarding venues to go for dinner and drinks for the evening, offering to help with a call to the local taxi firm, something which is expected but very often overlooked. Locality of the hotel is also very reasonably which we found out upon returning only being just out of town. I still have one more day at the 'vue bar' but can't recommend highly enough for anyone from families to business people alike, for a reasonable priced establishment in the Worcestershire area and certainly will be booking again, if nothing but for the very funny and helpful staff!!

Located at the riverside in Worcester, very basic outdoor seating by main road, and also very basic interior. Can get busy and has a good atmosphere when its full, when sport is on TV or there has been a match at the Couinty Cricket Ground. Not worth a special trip I'm afraid.

This must be the worst pub in the whole city. The staff are all extremely rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this pub to anyone. I would rather go blind than ever return to this awful establishment ever again.

However, it's lacking some atmosphere and a few customers. Good place to watch (BT) sport on TV but no ales. Can't comment on the rooms.

Great, this was a comfortable end to an evening out. The bar is well stocked, and sparkles. Bottles are on display and there is a varied supply of lagers and beers.

Friendly and helpful staff, bit tatty but is being updated, just on the edge of town overlooking the River Severn. Outside tables and chairs.

We visited with a groupon voucher. I don't think we'd have even thought to go there otherwise. Food was fab and the guys running it friendly and attentive. Still work in progress but worth a try.

We too had a Groupon voucher. Otherwise I doubt we'd have gone near it. But the food was absolutely excellent and the staff were attentive and helpful. I wish them good luck for the future. They deserve some support so they can finish the re-decorating!

Don't let the exterior put you off. My boyfriend and I visited the bar on a groupon deal and were very pleased. Relaxing surroundings delightful staff who were chatty and welcoming.We had the meat tapas with blue cheese fondue and it was very very good. I could have happily stayed in there all day and will definitely be paying a return visit. There is an open mic night held there every second Saturday of the month which I'll look forward to going to too.

We also brought a groupon voucher for cocktails and tapas food and came in to use it Tues eve - the place was lovely - I agree with the other review that it doesn't look much from the outside but inside it has a lovely decor and they have obviously worked hard to renovate the place - service was great, the guy that served us was very friendly and chatty - but the food was the biggest surprise - it was absolutely gorgeous. Large portions, really tasty and well cooked. They have loads of great offers on and we will definitely be returning!!!

Vue has had a new refurb it looks great, the atmosphere is fantastic and the food is absolutely stunning. Really loved the service they are so friendly and accommodating. Wine list not bad either! Can't wait to go back.

We came here early on Saturday evening as a group of four. This place has completely changed since I last came in. To be honest even as a local it wasn't very welcoming. What a difference the new management team have made! This place is now vibrant, attractive and comfortable. From the outside it doesn't look too great but once inside you can see the transformation. There are comfy seats and sofas in the bars. Flat panel TVs show Sky Sports without being 'in your face'. The guys in the bar go the extra mile to ensure that your experience is a pleasant one. The food was great and the drinks very reasonably priced. The location is great as its close to the river, car parks and 5 minutes walk from Foregate Street train station. in summary this place is completely different to how it used to be. Now, it's nice place to go and has everything you could want in terms of location, food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely return with other friends to show them how much this place has changed.The hotel part of the building is due for improvement. If they have the same sort of transformation in mind as they have put into place in the bar/restaurant then this will also be a great place to stay over.I was in two minds about submitting this review as part of me would like this place to remain under the radar ( a little jewel next to the river)however, if it is to stay open it needs business and I would rather share it than lose it

We purchased a voucher on Groupon before which we hadn't heard of the venue. The service was excellent and so was the food. The bar itself needs some decorating including the toilets but as far as atmosphere goes we enjoyed it
