You have to make a reservation and even with that you have to arrive on the dot. If you they say oh sorry I have to check if there’s a table free. I can see about 20 tables free. Service is soo long and everyone works in slow motion. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Under new ownership, they haven’t done the place up, no new furniture and now the food menu offer less and comes out hot,dry,hard,plain flavour. It’s not eatable. Everyone looks depressed in this place: the customers mostly

Pub was closed for the evening when we arrived. We went for breakfast as we were staying in the Premier Inn. It was self service and someone had left butter in the fruit bowl. We would much rather stay at New Road, where other options are available, but unfortunately there were no rooms available for our dates.

Absolutly atrocious service. Being a current general manager for whitbread and coming in to a site turning into a solus to be told myself, my wife and my 14 month old som were not allowed to have breakfast because the hotel lost was still busy and yet the restaurant was EMPTY, is the apitamy of why whitbread are getting rid of their restaurants. Im going through the same breifing and yet my business is business as usual, i take all walk ins regardless to what i have left booked and got in the restaurant. Mentality is the reason this business has survived so long, and now we have muppets running the restaurants into the ground! Should be ashamed of yourselves! Also,,,,,, clean your beer garden. Glasses from the night before with cans everywhere, rubbish all over your front door. First impressions are everything. You clearly have let the announcement effect how you portray the guest journey. Yes this is under a fake name, but feel free to message me and ill tell you who i am and where i work, because i tell you what. There is no chace my ROM woild allow this from me, never mind yourselves! You still have 10 days of public trading left. Hopefully your read this and get your act togeteher for those. Making a 14 month old baby starve. Should be ashamed!!!

Love this restaurant for a well priced evening meal; nothing posh but good grub at a good price. The staff are very courteous and always happy to help. Also get lots of special deals. Thanks go to Jay for looking after us on this visit; as it’s a regular haunt for us the staff know us. We can walk to this restaurant if it’s not raining so feel it’s a treat as we can walk off some of the calories on the way home 😀

Overnight stopover travelling to Wales. Had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Staff were outstanding, really customer focused and polite and courteous. A real asset to the company well done! This place is going down hill fast seats ripped,carpets ripped,food up the walls,paint work needed,roof stained from previous leak,last orders 9.30 on Bank Holiday Saturday night,last orders 9.15 the following night no draught beer or lager.Breakfast was chaotic run out of food big queues turned us away for 30 minutes then turned away a group of men who had booked losing £2000.00 worth of business £10.99 per head.

I feel there needs to be a zero star rating (which is the first time I've needed it) as giving even one star is giving too much credit. Truly awful from start to finish in every way. Terrible service waiting to be seated, told to come back an hour later than our booking when the restaurant was three quarters empty.....dirty table, napkin, glasses....then there's the food (we had breakfast) which I don't know how it can be so poor. I don't have a dog, but if I did, I wouldn't have fed it to it! Genuinely an unforgettable experience, but for all the wrong reasons.

One of our party popped in the day before to check if we could have breakfast on Sunday morning. 16 of us turned up to be told no chance. Don’t have the room or the staff. Thankfully Seabourne Inn by the river at Kempsey was more than happy to cook it all fresh and serve us all. Small town big corporation mentality compared to independents who want the business. To turn away the potential of £200 worth of business in this day and age is ridiculous. Fair to say The Three Pears will not be on our list of ride outs, The Seabourne Inn definitely will.

If you’re expecting good service think again, we waited ages to be checked in and seated, had to go and ask at the bar in the end if someone could help. Had to ask again at the bar if someone was going to be taking any orders in the restaurant as there were no staff to be seen whatsoever!Then waited 35 minutes for a drink and that’s after my husband had gone to the bar yet again to enquire what was going on with our drinks order . Absolutely shocking service it was like pulling teeth asking for anything. That said the food was good, thank god we had a voucher for 33% off the food bill otherwise I would have been complaining. Needless to say no tip left. Feels like they’re running this beefeater into the ground and wouldn’t be at all surprised if it folds soon.

This beefeater is the tale of 2 halves. We stayed for 2 nights for a business trip and the inconsistency from one day to another was quite astonishing. Having stayed at many premier inns this one fared worse. Evening meal day 1...food was as good as likely, fish and chips fresh and hot, steak was cold but chips were hot. Having stayed in many premier inns we are quite au fait with the all you can eat breakfast but this was the worst ever, there was no buffet it was tell us what you want from the menu and we will fetch it...now part of me thinks oh good at least it will be cooked fresh - turns out it's just clearly being kept warm behind the counter instead of in-front of it. Now considering this is 10.99 and £1 more than the average premier inn breakfast I would have expected to at least have been asked if I'd like any more considering it's being offered as all you can eat but sadly that wasn't to be. Onto the second evening meal - food was edible but I ordered a glass of wine which when I lifted it up the glass was covered with a thick white substance that I'm hoping was dish cleaner and nothing more sinister. I pointed it out to the young lad serving who rolled his eyes with no apology and took it away....I then watched him leave the glass on the side for 5 minutes, pour the drink from the dirty glass to a clean glass and bring it over.....their lack of health and safety knowledge knows no bounds. All in all the premier inn was decent but this is the first time I'd say swerve the food its over priced and shoddily served.

Quiet Monday, but for one badly behaved very noisy toddler. Parents hopeless, drinks knocked over etc. Server dealt with saintly patience, full credit. Prefered manager to warn behave or leave on behalf of all the other diners. Otherwise lovely server, cheerful attentive and quick. Food good quality and hot. Didn't bother with desert just to escape the racket.

Came in for breakfast at 7:30 on saturday, the restaurant was fully booked and no spare tables available, we hadn't booked at the time but the young looking guy that was at the door greeting everyone was very kind and offered a alternative time for 9:30 as that's when their was spare tables, even with a disappointment of not getting in at 7:30 when we arrived at 9:30 we was not let down, everything was fresh and always topped up. The young guy was very attentive and looked after everyone and fixed issues as quickly as he could ie mugs and plates. The two ladies that was on with him was always busy and clearing tables as effectionally as they could, we was not disappointed and the young guy is a huge assest to your company with the way he handled the situation at the very start and found a alternative time. Would recommend and will be revisiting in the near future. Thankyou to every one that worked that morning and made a very good impression to the business even when they was fully booked when we first initially arrived.

A good selection on the menu, though prices are a bit on the deer side. It is probably best to book a table in advance, though I visited in midweek, and availability was not an issue. The service was very good, though the poor chap did have to apologise for the drinks taking so long to arrive.

On arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Our waiter was Jay who was on his own serving the whole section - he was rushed off his feet but still gave us excellent service with a smile. our food was delicious and we will be visitng again. I really hope Jay’s hard work and helpfulness will be recognised by management - he’s an asset to the restaurant

Absolutely disgraceful.. from start to finish. We arrived 5 minutes early to be told our table wasn't ready however we were the only ones in the restaurant. Waited 15 minutes in the bar before being seated. The bar area and restaurant were filthy, ripped leather seats, ripped turned up carpets, food splashed up the walls, sticky tables, damp on the ceiling, rubbish all left out the front entrance including dirty bottles, glasses, cigarettes and sauce wrappers. Large parts of paint missing from the walls, dirty cutlery and glasses. We ordered 3 roast dinners which took 30 minutes to arrive and when they did the waiter had all three plates on one arm causing all 3 to spill gravy over the edges of the plates and down his arm. The veg was cold and raw, the meat was barely warm, the gravy had a layer of orange oil on top and it had separated on the plate. We ordered a side of pigs in blankets which consisted of 3 small sausages which again, were cold and with grease in the bottom of the bowl. We asked to speak to a waiter stating our concerns and the manager simply took the plates away without an apology. The waiter came back over and apologised for the food stating he thought it didn't look right when he brought it to us at the table. Stated he was sorry for the way in which the manager had dealt with us and that he is not from that restaurant and is from another area. The whole experience was shocking and I'm surprised the restaurant is even still open with such service and such a poorly looked after restaurant.

Normally travel to a Brewers Fayre but decided to try here for a change as on the doorstep and same menu and same company. Disapointing is the word, the restaurant was over half empty. The hot food was replenished so slowly that at no point was everything available at the same time, meaning while you waited the rest of your food got cold. The staff although pleasant plodded around with no real sense of urgency. We'll give this place a miss in future.

We got served on short notice, which we are grateful for. This is the scruffiest Beefeater I have ever been in. That said, we got served and fed. The food was eaten by three of us, and our plates were cleared of food, including the plate of a fussy 11 year old. So that's a big plus mark. This place looked really understaffed, and any negative feedback is not aimed at them. Would I go back? Yeah, now I know what to expect.

Visited Easter Sunday while staying in the premier Inn next door as we were on route to Torquay & stayed here to break the journey. Visited Three Pears as I was staying at the nearby Premier Inn on a work trip. Arrived 8.15pm after travelling from Somerset. Was told food was served until 8.45pm so quickly dropped my bag and went over to the pub. Waited where it said 'wait here to be seated' and waited a bit longer. Eventually someone came out and asked how she could help me (I mean, wasn't it obvious I was waiting to he seated?). Said the receptionist had booked me a table. She said 'well my till isn't working so you'll have to order at the bar....bar's over there' and (I kid you not), wafted her hand at me to go away!!! I went over to the bar, no-one was about so waited another 10 minutes, by which time there were a couple more people waiting to be served. Lad behind the bar eventually appeared and was clearly not in a great mood. Ordered my food thinking he's gonna say it's too late now, but didn't. He gave me my cutlery and condiments.......at the bar!!! Felt like I was in a works cafeteria. Do they not bring these things to your table anymore at Beefeater? Food arrived, and thank god it was decent. I mean, we're not talking Michelin standard, but it was hot and tasty. Breakfast next morning was OK. Just one staff member, seating people, taking hot food orders, bringing food out and clearing up. Think he was trying his best but certainly seemed very understaffed. Breakfast wasn't great. Juices were cordial, coffee machine wasn't working (seems to be a recurring theme at every Beefeater/Brewers Fayre I go to), so just instant coffee. Cooked breakfast was very poor. Flabby, undercooked bacon, my poached egg was snotty (I love a runny egg....but not the white, eurgh), mushrooms seemed like they been kept warm in water. All in all, not brill. Suppose they get a lot of custom from the Premier Inn. I wouldn't choose to eat here though.

Great spot for a midweek lunch. Enjoyed the lunch menu - my partner had chicken and chips with peas and I had the chicken and vegetable skewer with salad and chips. Plenty of food for a lunch and a great price of 12.99. We both had a half of birra moretti so the total bill was £18.49. Alice was a very attentive hostess. This is local for us and somewhere we come when I can’t be bothered to cook.

We went for Sunday lunch. Walked in and had to wait for about 10 min to be seated even though there was only about 10 people in the restaurant. Then waited another 20 min to order. Waited what seemed an age for 2 roast beef dinners. When it arrived it was lukewarm and quality was totally underwhelming. Potatoes were oily and burnt, veg overcooked and watery gravy. Staff showed no enthusiasm or sense of urgency. Building itself needs a lick of paint at the very least and toilets need a good clean. It must be 30yrs since i last went a beefeater and after this experience, it will probably be another 30yrs before I tried again. Total disappointment!

Quiet for a Sunday lunchtime but very understaffed, 3 sets of people walked out whilst we were there. Staff appeared to go on break leaving 1 poor girl to serve the bar and restaurant. One diner collected his own meal from the kitchen. Decor tired, ripped seats, dirty walls and water stains on ceiling. Rubbish blowing outside and garden unkempt, we originally thought it had closed down. Food overpriced and nothing special for what it was. '74 baconeater not worth the £16+ price tag (see pic). Would not visit again.

Best fries in Worcester, eggs were cooked to perfection and my peas were beautifully fresh and moist not all hard and horrible like some places. Highly reccomend the gammon. The restaurant was quite quiet today for a change. We were greeted with a lovely smile from a young lady named Alice. Taken to a table & confirmed it was alright. Table was clean & well laid out. As was the entire restaurant. We were able to order our drinks almost immediately. When the drinks arrived we were advised of a couple of items unavailable, this was not something that affected our choices. Our food was just a tad slow in arriving (hence the only 4 stars & not 5) Food was as usual hot tasty & good quantity. A sauce delivered with my Wifes Salmon was advised as hot & it was. Deserts were as good as we wanted. score 9/10. Even though the restaurant was next to a motorway (M5) there was no noise from outside. Alice was very attentive with out being obtrusive. Would we go back again YES.

Overall experience was good, however conversations were overheard from the other side of the restaurant by a member of staff, I think her name was Alice, discussing other staff and managers wages. It also came to my attention that other members of staff and managers were badly spoken about by herself mentioning how "they have no work ethic when it comes to dealing with customers". As a manager in another company, I would not appreciate my staff talking about other members of staff and most importantly other managers in this way, especially in ear shot of other customers in the restaurant. I hope this can be dealt with for future customers.

Once again the food was good. If it was not for Alice serving the place would not be as good....she is so efficient and looks after everyone so well.We do avoid nights when we know she is not there. The menu is due for a change...different food, not just putting the prices up! Toilets... Ladies is good but have been told that Gents is a mess with dodgy taps (been like that for ages) and paper everywhere. Don't know what the cleaning schedule is?

A year ago I gave 5⭐️s for the same pub (everything was spot on), sadly it was a disappointing experience this time. I arrived around 8:30 for dinner. No staff around anywhere. I had to search for them just to be able to order. Communication wasn’t the best among the team either. Got my drink order through twice, my dinner came with the wrong side and half of the extra side was missing too. Once all other guests left, I had to search for staff again just to be able to pay. I waited at least 10mins before that to see if anyone came out to check on me, but they didn’t. For breakfast I only ordered porridge, which was half cooked and still a bit hard and even dry on the edges. I didn’t ask for a discount, but I got one as a gesture of apology for slow and poor service. I would rather have better quality food and more attentive staff next time. Lots of room for improvement.

We visit this pub often and we are never disappointed by the service and quality of the food. When we visited on the 24th January it was clear that the staff were under extreme pressure. Apparently a new booking system had been introduced which was causing problems and was delaying service. We witness some angry customers complaining to the staff and I have to say that staff dealt professionally with everything that was thrown at them. They made the very best of a very poor situation. Ok we had to wait for our table, for which they apologised but when the food arrived it was lovely. Just wanted to say a well done to the manager and her team.

While staying at the Premiere Hotel opposite we booked a table for the evening at TheThree Pears. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and could not have been more helpful. We enjoyed an excellent meal which arrived at our table piping hot and everyone was served at the same time. We were not rushed but neither were we left waiting for the food for a long time.Our waiter was called Jay and was on duty when we went for breakfast the next morning and was still smiling and welcoming and as helpful as the previous evening. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would certainly call again

I have just eaten here and I was very impressed. I had the halloumi burger and apple pie and custard for dessert. We were served by Jay who went above and beyond. He was super efficient and extremely polite. I would absolutely come and eat here again.

My dining experience at the restaurant was exceptionally unpleasant. To begin with, I endured an excruciatingly long wait of an hour just to be served a prawn cocktail. As if that weren't frustrating enough, an additional 40 minutes lapsed before my main course finally arrived at the table. The ordeal continued when I received the drink I had ordered a staggering hour and 20 minutes prior. The overall service was disappointingly slow and significantly marred what should have been an enjoyable dining occasion.

Not impressed with breakfast today, plates cold, mushrooms stone cold, and everything else cool to temperature not hot,.. no coffee machine working, and out of some ingredients, told the Chinese lady who was miserable and just smirked all she said was I will tell the chef not an ounce of compation or help.. not a good impression at all.

Very good service with good sized portions. Had the fish and chips which was excellent, and came quickly after ordering. The staff were very friendly and were very helpful. Reasonable prices and well worth the money. I could recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Decent pub food with friendly staff. Expect a wait at peak times (next to a hotel so car park is busy with tradespeople on weekdays who probably eat there after work ). If restaurant is full you can eat in the bar from the same menu but without the table service, ie order at the bar.

The usual menu I'm used yo at my local. I was able to book easily online and we were seated quickly on arrival in a lovely spot. It was busy but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking but make sure to input your car details when you arrive.

The waiters were very attentive and friendly. They were busy serving and trying to replenish breakfast items, which was too much for them to do at time. The breakfast was very nice, although we actually preferred it when you could help yourself. The cooked breakfast arrived about 5 minutes after ordering it, and we hadn't had our cereal. Consequently, it was getting cold by the time we did eat it. I needed gluten-free bread, and that came with the cooked breakfast rather than later, to have with honey etc.

What has happened to this place? Been gradually getting worse with each visit. I worked here in what feels like a lifetime ago and I can only mainly feel sorry for *some* of the staff there. The toilets are absolutely grim, I'm sure they were the same in 2010! With almost 375 million profits in 2023, Whitbread, you need to do better! Onto the service: The only reason I gave 2 stars rather than 1 was due to the young, clearly new waitress. Thankfully, we only ordered desserts, which took 25 minutes to appear, in what was essentially a restaurant/bar at 30% capacity. There were 2 members of staff which managed to get hold of sundaes before we did, rather than seeing to me at the bar, the duty manager sent the new girl to deal with my complaint, a rather cowardice act. She was smiley, professional and apologetic. I always assumed it was the duty manager that dealt with issues and complaints but maybe things have changed since my time in this industry. I can't really comment on the food but the sundaes were average for the eye watering price of £6.99 each, for some Bookers soft scoop ice cream and crushed biscoffee biscuits. All members of staff "hanging" out at the dispense area is not a good look, especially when you always have to wait at an empty bar.
