Great food great company and fantastic staff especially Lucy she goes that one more step for her customers

Me and my family came in yesterday, we were greeted by a young man at the desk, I believe his name was Ryan, we hadn’t book ( future reference, I will book) it was very busy but he managed to accommodate us, our sever was Lucy E, service was fantastic and so was the food, The kids enjoyed the garden as there was a bounce to council and park out there perfect for school holidays, I will be back Many thanks Sarah

Lovely welcome and prompt service with friendly staff especially Greg who served us. Pizza was delicious thanks to Mike the chef. Little disappointed we couldn’t use our 25% off meerkats deal as my pizza was in an offer.

Didn't stay as wait for food was 40mins. It's obviously a popular place.

Food was tasty and freshly cooked. Staff were lovely.

It was hot and sunny so very busy and there were no tables inside available so we sat outside in the shade and ordered via the QR code on our table. Our food and drinks arrived quickly despite it being so busy. I was really impressed as we’d been somewhere else and left due to a 45 minute wait and it wasn’t that busy. Well done to everyone at The Barn Owl for maintaining great service during a busy time. Food was really good as always.

We were staying at the premier inn and, unfortunately, their restaurant was not able to serve dinner and we were given the name of the Barn Owl as an alternative. It was extremely busy. Being a couple of oldies we found the noise too much. My husband started to develop a migraine, also we were told our order would take abt 45 mins. To be fair our server was great and managed to move us to a quieter table. The food was fine, but the whole experience rather put us off ever returning. Not the fault of the restaurant. But, if you like a relatively quiet meal this is not the place for you.

Your team members are very friendly nothing was yo much trouble, what ever we asked, everything was delivered promptly, thankyou

Barn fest was brilliant, extra extra busy but that didnt stop the team! Service was excellent and no delays! Fab day for the kids and adults!

Very average good, dont get a pub feel,

The pub could have been really nice, but we actually all found it a difficult place to be. To be fair we came on the last day of school before the summer. They had a DJ in for the kids and a bouncy castle outside. The problem was, although advertised as dog friendly the bar area where we could be with our dog had the DJ booth in it and it was really loud and not a place to enjoy a meal or to have a dog. So we sat outside but there was also loud music outside and it was different to the DJ so to be honest it was all too much, the atmosphere would have been nice for some.but for us who just wanted to enjoy a meal it was off putting. We booked ahead but weren't informed of any of this, or that there would be an hour's wait on food. The food was good, similar to other places like spoons and hungry horse. Good for kids and I think the area away from the bar and the noise would have been an ok place to sit if we didn't have the dog with us.

Draft Guinness tasted watered down food was well cooked and served quickly but empty plates were left on the table for well over a hour before being removed

Stopped for a bite to eat whilst the car was charging. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Would recommend stopping off if nearby.

Well not reviewed this pub in a while, had such a lovely experience today, from front of house a lovely young girl so sad I didn’t get her name but such a credit to the pub/restaurant, introduced us to our waiter Peter what a delightful young man! Took our order food and drink came so quickly! My salad chicken and bacon was delicious husbands mixed grill also! Amy you are so proud of your staff as you should be delighted experienced!

Visited the place several times as a lunch break whilst travelling on the M5. Toasty food at reasonable prices. Nice friendly staff.

Only had pizza and they were good all the other looks good but can't comment as never had any.

I watched the Euro final at the Barn Owl with my family. Brilliant atmosphere and service was excellent, especially considering how busy it was.

The food was decent, but the service was brilliant. They were absolutely swamped, but Gregg and Lucy still managed to deliver amazing service. Hats-off to them both.

Well fantastic evening for my mother in laws birthday . We were made so welcome , the landlady and staff especially Lucy h were just so accommodating and helpful .

Great meal but drink service could be better. No drink menus on tables and no table numbers so couldn’t order online and was difficult to get the attention of staff at times.

We both had steak, my husband had a problem with his, this was rectified immediately and the only damper on the evening was we didn't eat together. Service prompt and friendly.

I ordered nanchos with pulled pork. For a pub nibble it was rather pricey - not value for money. 15 quid it was. Measly portion

Had a great breakfast here this morning for a colleagues leaving do. We had fantastic service from Kelly, she was very attentive and happy. We will definitely be returning!

Very disappointed this visit,food poor quality. I had Chicken and Mushroom Pie ,soggy pastry and only about a desert spoon of chicken and mushroom. Peas were hard and tasteless,chips ok

All the staff were lovely but a special mention for Peter our waiter who really looked after us.

Have visited many times for lunch and evening meals, usually with young grandchildren. Staff are always helpful, friendly and polite. Food has always been excellent - from fishfinger sandwich, pizza or gammon and chips! Family friendly pub.

Brilliant service, fast and friendly staff.

Good service, reasonable prices. I chose Hunters Chicken. It was fairly burnt when it arrived, some much so the Bacon has separated from the chicken and the barbeque sauce has burnt away, I had to add sashet bbq myself I usually have no problems with my food at the Barn Owl but my wife says I'll eat anything good or bad.

Looks like a really nice place the food was good and the staff helpful ,went in when it was quite, nice area outside, was suprised to see a bouncy castle for the kids so that would be good for the lil uns

Sunday lunch on Father's day, so busy but service was prompt and food didn't take long to arrive. Good quality, massive Yorkshire which was crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Meat was cooked well, I had beef, served medium (no choice offered) and it was very tender. No soggy vegetables in sight either. My friend had the turkey which was also well cooked. I would have given 5 stars, if it wasn't for this. The roast had mash included, but an extra portion was £2.79. I asked if I could swap the mash for 2 pigs in blankets, cost £2.50. I was told they would happily leave off the mash but I would still have to pay £2.50 for the pigs in blankets. Churlish maybe, but it felt a bit money grabbing to me.

Very fast. Very nice food. Good selection of drinks. Loads of place to sit. Sun. Benches are a bit low but booths are very nice. Overall very pleased

Always a great experience when you go to the barn owl. We went for Father's day and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Food was delicious and the service was speedy despite the fact that they looked really busy.

What can I say? This restaurant is absolutely amazing. From food to the standard of service! I've been here numerous times and I absolutely love the food, specifically the burgers, including cowboy, the mighty chicken burger and many others. The quality of the food is outstanding. Never leave anything uneaten. As for staff ! Wow. Amazing. Peter was our server for the night Friday 3rd of May 24. He was a pure diamond, so funny, was very very polite and very attentive to our needs. Thankyou Peter you made our night. I always say great customer service will always make the experience better and that's what happened. I always get excited coming to barn owl because the atmosphere is great. All the staff are lovely and very enthusiastic. They do only have a small cocktail menu, that is my only critic, however the mocktails we did have were outstanding. We had the strawberry and peach ones and they were delicious. Highly reccomend. Also reccomend the mozerlla bites for the starter. They are heavenly.😍 Thanks barn owl for an amazing visit! Definitely will be coming again, for he millionth time ! 🩷

Went in on bank holiday Monday for dinner with my wife. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and service was quick. Really blown away with the experience and will definitely be going back

The landlady was polite, friendly and went above and beyond. The upsaling skills are fantastic, even if it means spending more money, it's been worth it feeling like a valued customer.

I went to the bar to buy my first drink and the service was great. Ordered food and further drinks via the barcode on our outside table. speed of service was exceptional given you were quite busy and football was on. Food was great and was reasonably priced. We called in after a long car journey. The pub was welcoming and busy. We loved the 'vibe'. Waitress was attentive and drinks were brought quickly whilst we chose our meal. Food arrived timely and was hot and fresh. It was a typical pub menu but the food was of excellent quality. We will definitely keep Barn Owl in mind for a stop off the M5 motorway.

Stopped off for a lunch time meal on our way to Somerset for a five day break. Meals were of good quality and reasonably priced. Service was first rate. Another lunch time visit on our way to Somerset. Service and food first rate. Will book again for another visit to Somerset in August

It is always excellent service at the Barn Owl. Their recruitment is obviously working. Peter and particularly a young Dark haired girl were superb.

Very helpful staff members who were patient, courteous and responsive. It was my Birthday and they brought out the cake decorated nicely with the candles. ** Ive emailed as requested, no reply to email - is the address correct??** Visiting the area so booked a table on line well in advance for 2015hrs. Booking was made on Tuesday. Arrived at exactly 2015hrs and when a member of the team came to book us in he informed us that there was at least an hours wait for food. I asked if that would still be the case as we were booked and so our covers would be anticipated. He blithely replied “it’s a full pub and full garden so yeah”. We therefore said no thank you we shall leave to which he said “that’s fine by me it makes it easier for us” I appreciate the weather was good and so likely busier than anticipated, however you must’ve continued to accept people in for meals when you knew you had bookings coming in. I have had multiple booking reminder and confirmation messages in advance of the booking so it is somewhat confusing that you weren’t actually able to accommodate us, yes I’m sure you’d have found a table and two chairs but that isn’t a dinner booking being accommodated. This resulted in us being in an unfamiliar area requiring a meal and so instead of a meal in a pub environment we had to resort to a takeaway instead. My advice is two fold - if you take a booking make sure you can serve it. If circumstances play out that you can’t, try apologising and perhaps being empathetic to your potential customer and not flippantly dismissive.

We come here about once a month and the food is always great but the food we had on Friday evening was the best we have ever had!! Absolutely amazing service too, Peter is amazing and he is an incredible asset to your team who never fails at making us feel welcome. I would give it 10 stars if i could!

Very good experience, particularly with the speed at which the food arrived. We were quite near a party which meant it wasn't as quiet as we would choose but we understand people have parties!

Perfect location for us to meet friends just off the motorway. Perfect beer garden with play area for kids as well as a bouncy castle. Plenty of food and drinks choices. This will definitely be our new permanent meeting place with friends that live in Cheltenham

Friendly pub but drinks selection pathetic. Nowhere near the choice there was on previous visits eg no Hobgoblin, Estrella Damm, Inches cider. 2 brands of ale, one bottled ale again not one we'd heard of either. Also expensive for the pints we did get.

Fabulous meal in the garden. Although close to the road ,you cannot hear the traffic. Staff very good, you can scan the QR code at the table and order was very quick.

We visited the Barn Owl today with some of our residents. We were all so impressed with the person centered care we received nothing was too much. Our server was Maddy who did a fantastic job taking time ,care & patience to write our orders down with names so we could get individual receipts. Food was very good and affordable. We will be back thank you team for a wonderful time.

Extensive menu, nice atmosphere and great service. Food was hot and very nice indeed. I had the steak and ale pie and my friend a pizza. Clean plates all round. A really nice evening.

We were welcomed and shown to our table, a drinks order was taken and we told the waiter we were waiting for a few friends to arrive.. he said he would get our drinks and come back when our friends did .tractor his word he did.. gave us enough time to make our food selection and made some really helpful suggestions of extras that would complement our meals..all of which were perfect, as was the food we ordered..fresh and very tasty The X factor for us was the waiter I forget his name, but around 5.10 wore glasses around 25-30 years old who was polite witty and helpful and made our evening even more perfect. Will definitely recommend

After our first visit back in December for breakfast with santa where we thought the food and service was excellent we decided to travel down for Sunday lunch and again we have not been disappointed again. Can not the fault the food, the service and the overall atmosphere of the Barn Owl.. Can't recommend enough to friends and family, will certainly revisit .. 10/10
