The Barn Owl in Worcester

This was our first visit to The Barn Owl whilst we were staying in Worcester overnight. We were escorted to a table by a young lad from the bar area. As we were chatting a young lady approached the table with a very pleasant smile and presence. This young lady was so welcoming and very friendly with her mannerisms. Very professional and can also adapt to banter with the customers. A breath of fresh air with Dani, a proper people person. Credit were credit is due. Food was top quality, hot and enjoyable. Great first visit to this establishment and would recommend to our family and friends if they visit Worcester.

First time here. Shannon was our server and made us feel very welcome. Food was pretty good and value for money. No complaints and will recommend and come back soon!!

We booked a table for 13 for my daughters birthday and on arrival we were a bit worried as it was so busy but we had the best time. The food and service was impeccable, we were told there was a 45 minute wait on the food but it came within 30 minutes which was amazing with how many large parties they were accommodating. The food was tasty and the portions were good. Couldn't fault them, a fabulous evening.

We both had steak, my husband had a problem with his, this was rectified immediately and the only damper on the evening was we didn't eat together. Service prompt and friendly.

Edited as visited again in November 2024 for lunch. Once again good food and very friendly efficient service from Greg who greeted us on arrival, and made sure we had everything we wanted for our meals and drinks. Glad we had pre-booked our table for 2 as the restaurant was quite full , even mid week . Both Mains and Deserts were well presented and very tasty. Going on todays enjoyable experience, have already booked a table for lunch with friends in a few weeks time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lovely atmosphere, good service , food and drinks. Pre-booked our table for a meal and drinks on a tuesday evening to celebrate sons birthday and all 3 of us really enjoyed it. So impressed with the food , drinks and service that we've booked a table for my birthday next tuesday as well. Nice friendly greeting from bar staff on arrival . We all chose different dishes for our 3 courses and throughly enjoyed each one. Draught beers and ciders kept well. Food came well presented , hot and well cooked. All the servers were pleasant and efficient . Lovely atmosphere, good service and really tasty food and drink made for a really good birthday celebration evening. Looking forwards to our return visit to celebrate my birthday next week now !

Food was good and hot. Staff were friendly and very helpful when my wife and I were trying to find each other. Both welcomed and wished a good evening on our departure. All the tables were clean and clear of dirty dishes or glasses. Altogether a pleasant and "personal" atmosphere. Well done

Service very slow. Booked high chair had to ask for one. Food small portions . Prices gone up portions reduced in size.

Absolutely lovely meal- delicious food served piping hot. Special mention to Lucy- extremely friendly and efficient-all round brilliant, friendly service. We shall be back.

One of the best carvery' I've had, it's really busy on the Sunday so book up. But quite in the week, that's when we usually go x Well priced and great atmosphere.

We came for food and drinks, i had a mixed grill with extra scampi and my partner had chicken tikka masala it was fab!! our servers were Lucy H and Kelly, they couldn’t do enough for us! We will be returning

Great friendly pub, much improved reasonably priced food. Our servers (Amy and Lucy) were attentive and brilliant with our grandkids.

Really nice and spacious pub, with a good sized garden space with some climbing frames for the kids. The food was very good and varied. We have a number of food requirements in our group (vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free needs). The menus were excellent across all these requirements, and the service couldn't have been better or more attentive. Our waitress, Kelly, was exceptional and friendly throughout our visit. The pub has a dog, which is just another bonus, as we love dogs. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Good Food. Good choice of Beers. Great Service from Lucy H. Well worth a visit. 3 of us came for a late lunch. I had the Rump Steak which was cooked to perfection!

We love going to Barn Owl the food is always good and great price. The service was excellent Peter is a credit to the team and really knows his stuff I was very impressed. He really is a people person and does such a great job nothing is too much for him.

This was the spot that was equal travel distance between my family in Leicester and my brother in Bath. We could see from the pictures it had what we needed...garden and play area for our kids, good pub food and parking. We were sooo happy when we got there. Kelly was very welcoming and chilled with us. Teddy the pup was adorable. And we were taken aback at the variety of vegetarian dishes and the allergy menu. That allergy menu gave my sister in law such a wonderful sense of normality, which is so often lacking at other places. We quickly agreed that it is a gem of a place and we will be back. Thank you so much! The vibe was great and the facilities easy and accessible. Unsure exactly when, but we will definitely be back

Poor service! Never got side order. Manager said would be taken off bill. Got bill and was still there eventually the manager removed this item. Then later when I got home I realised that whoever was taking payment added back on without telling me so over charged us. This is all after asking for our side 5 times! My advice is to avoid this place, but if you do go make sure you check everything 3 times as apparently they just add money on to card machine without telling you!

Amazing service there was 16 of us it was a quick service and food was arrived altogether was hot fresh .couldn't fault any of our service and it was extremely busy..All staff were attentive..fast efficient service..

One very friendly member of staff, Shaun, was amazing. The other member of staff seemed totally inconvenienced by our presence and treated us with distain. Food took a long time to came and coffee was cold on arrival.

Very helpful staff, plenty of room, good atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices. Have visited a few times now and consistently an enjoyable experience.

We went for some lunch and a catch up, Lucy H was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and the service was quick. We also shared a dessert which was so big we couldn’t finish it!

We had a lovely meal for my father's birthday.

Very good experience, particularly with the speed at which the food arrived. We were quite near a party which meant it wasn't as quiet as we would choose but we understand people have parties!

Stopped in for a coffee and charge (EV chargers in the car park). Coffee was fine and staff were nice.

We decided to meet friends, for a girls meet up. Upon arrival not warm greeting and staff quite rude, not warm welcome just demanding our booking reference. The place was almost empty which should have been a warning sign, we were shown to our table, straight away looks dated and grubby. Our table top was not clean and very sticky with bits of food on it. While waiting to ask staff if they would give it a clean, we opened the meun which was covered in dried up food. We then decided to leave, not one asked why or if they could help, just got a smirk from one of the staff. I know it's not a top class place, but I would expect to be at least clean

Nice if they weren't fixing g the pool table, and having g the glabling machine looked at and collected money from them while l was eatting my breakfast, before hours ir after hours would be more adviced.

Been served by leah behind the bar. Great customer service and very chatty. She knew what drinks we wanted every time we went to bar.

2nd visit on a Thursday, joined the pub quiz and had a wonderful time. The mixed kebab on flatbread is great and would recommend.

Celebratory results day dinner. I've always loved the barn owl - the smell, the food, the friendliness of the staff. It's the perfect place for an intimate family dinner !! I always get the lasagna or the steak - both fantastic options. Such a lovely restaurant !!

Table waiting excellent, greeting excellent, food choice good and varied, restaurant a tad noisy for our taste but busy and good for business and The Barn Owls popularity and sustainability.

What can I say? This restaurant is absolutely amazing. From food to the standard of service! I've been here numerous times and I absolutely love the food, specifically the burgers, including cowboy, the mighty chicken burger and many others. The quality of the food is outstanding. Never leave anything uneaten. As for staff ! Wow. Amazing. Peter was our server for the night Friday 3rd of May 24. He was a pure diamond, so funny, was very very polite and very attentive to our needs. Thankyou Peter you made our night. I always say great customer service will always make the experience better and that's what happened. Another great staff member i'd like to applied is Lucy H. She is so polite and friendly and really made our visit a pleasant one. Thankyou so much! I always get excited coming to barn owl because the atmosphere is great. All the staff are lovely and very enthusiastic. They do only have a small cocktail menu, that is my only critic, however the mocktails we did have were outstanding. We had the strawberry and peach ones and they were delicious. Highly reccomend. Also reccomend the mozerlla bites for the starter. They are heavenly.😍 Thanks barn owl for an amazing visit! Definitely will be coming again, for he millionth time ! 🩷

Excellent food at reasonable prices.

This is our second night in a row due to Premier inn being closed for dinners!! First night was so good we decided to return and are booking again for the third night. Steak night is a fantastic deal! Lucy H was super. So attentive and friendly. Looking forward to returning for a third night.

I regularly use the ev chargers at the Barn Owl when travelling with my son from the South Wales Coast to the North of England or the Midlands for ice skating events and training. We charged there in the way up on Wednesday and also on the return journey on Thursday. For the second visit we decided to eat at the Barn Owl whilst the car charged. Although we hadn’t booked, the waitress found us a table. The service was, as always, attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent and we were made to feel welcome by all. We were served mainly by Lucy H who was excellent but the whole team are superb.

Very welcoming staff, although busy still took the time to make sure everything was okay. Enjoyed my meal, reasonable priced too. Will visit again.

Great food and a good drink selection. When the weather is good it is hard to recommend anywhere else. A great outdoor space with a playground for the kids. Not really the best place to go for just drinks if the weather sucks as it is primarily a restaurant.

Fast table service with friendly table service. Food and dessert was nice. Plenty of parking and quite easy to find a table of our choice at 4pm.

Came on Sunday ate in garden as we had three small children...food was good

Unfortunately it took over an hour for our main meals to arrive and a significant time for our puddings. Despite asking how long it would be we just kept being told 5minutes. And when asked how things were when we expressed about the delay it was not met with any concerns from the staff serving us. Our eldest daughter who has additional needs became very overwhelmed by the end on how long the whole meal took. A real shame as it totally spoilt our visit

Overall a very good experience, the food was tasty, the restaurant has a relaxed feel and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice pub the only thing that stopped it from being 4 stars was the sticky table and women’s toilets being a bit old and in need of tlc. The sausage and mash was tasty especially for the price

Loved this place, has an outdoor play area for the children, and a great selection of food and beers. Staff are very attentive.

Stopped off for a lunch time meal on our way to Somerset for a five day break. Meals were of good quality and reasonably priced. Service was first rate. Another lunch time visit on our way to Somerset. Service and food first rate. Will book again for another visit to Somerset in August

Lovely welcome and prompt service with friendly staff especially Greg who served us. Pizza was delicious thanks to Mike the chef. Little disappointed we couldn’t use our 25% off meerkats deal as my pizza was in an offer.

We were staying at the premier inn and, unfortunately, their restaurant was not able to serve dinner and we were given the name of the Barn Owl as an alternative. It was extremely busy. Being a couple of oldies we found the noise too much. My husband started to develop a migraine, also we were told our order would take abt 45 mins. To be fair our server was great and managed to move us to a quieter table. The food was fine, but the whole experience rather put us off ever returning. Not the fault of the restaurant. But, if you like a relatively quiet meal this is not the place for you.

It was hot and sunny so very busy and there were no tables inside available so we sat outside in the shade and ordered via the QR code on our table. Our food and drinks arrived quickly despite it being so busy. I was really impressed as we’d been somewhere else and left due to a 45 minute wait and it wasn’t that busy. Well done to everyone at The Barn Owl for maintaining great service during a busy time. Food was really good as always.

Very average good, dont get a pub feel,

The pub could have been really nice, but we actually all found it a difficult place to be. To be fair we came on the last day of school before the summer. They had a DJ in for the kids and a bouncy castle outside. The problem was, although advertised as dog friendly the bar area where we could be with our dog had the DJ booth in it and it was really loud and not a place to enjoy a meal or to have a dog. So we sat outside but there was also loud music outside and it was different to the DJ so to be honest it was all too much, the atmosphere would have been nice for some.but for us who just wanted to enjoy a meal it was off putting. We booked ahead but weren't informed of any of this, or that there would be an hour's wait on food. The food was good, similar to other places like spoons and hungry horse. Good for kids and I think the area away from the bar and the noise would have been an ok place to sit if we didn't have the dog with us.

Stopped for a bite to eat whilst the car was charging. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Would recommend stopping off if nearby.
