Rock Fryer in Dudley

No worry with waiting an hour or lack of sauces ordered. The fact the chips tasted like they were cooked yesterday and the chicken meat non existent made me write this review.Poor quality

Utter rubbish, very odd tasting curry sauce, and very little idea of position control on the regular mixed meat and chips. For the cost of it

prices have gone up and chips are still under cooked a regular bag of chips have gone up from £1.90 to £2.20 anywhere else thats a bigger portion of chips that are cooked, have to put them in the oven for half hour to cook them, only use it every few months because its the closest chippy to walk to, god knows how or what they use to fry their chips

We had a lovely meal. Thank you. Really delicious. When there is a wide choice of local chip shops I feel I chose based on customer service. Melissa was so helpful and friendly. I had to call day before to check something and again on the day. Nothing was too much trouble. Melissa is a credit to you and due how she helps the customers and the lovely food, we will be back.

Used Rock Fryer many times before but must have changed hands. Today ordered 2 large mixed meat kebabs and small chips. Kebabs were really small not much meat,chips were really greasy, won't be using again

After receiving an almost cold delivery a couple of months ago i decided to give The Rock Fryer another shot as the owner is very helpful and has an excellent attitude to Customer Service, so i booked for delivery,got a confirmation email but the order didn't arrive.I phoned and spoke to the older woman who works there but she was rude and said she han't got any order for me.The fact i had received an email meant something,somewhere had gone wrong but with her terrible attitude towards me i hung up and ordered from Pizza Hut, which turned up piping hot and on time.You have lost a damn good customer Rock Fryer, purely based on the lack of Customer Service skills of one of your employees.(Just to add the owner did email me and said someone would contact me about this but i haven't heard from anyone..)

Have used Rock Fryer for many months but tonights was a dissapointment..food was delivered on time, order was correct and driver was really pleasant but the food needed heating up....coming from a half mile away this is not acceptable...will be looking elsewhere from now on Rock Fryer...such a damn shame..

Fancied fish & chips + beans The chips were hard, beans watery ( very cheap baked beans awful) fish slightly undercooked and the batter very thick, like pancake mixture, I suspect this is to make the fish look bigger and therefore more value for money! Its the second time I’ve tried the food here and same on both occasions, waste of money! The two rating- because the staff are friendly and place is clean and tidy. However that does not make up for the poor tasteless food. I won’t be visiting again.

If you want a chippy, go here. Standard chippy prices but I first tried this chippy like 15 years ago and it has always been the best if you want fish and chips.

Easily best (and by miles the cleanest) chip shop I’ve been in for a long time. So so nice, nothing but happy thoughts! 😊

A proper traditional fish and chip shop. A massive fish reminded me of fish and chip shop meals when I was little! Maybe a little greasy for some... but I enjoyed the blast from the past :)

Walked past this chippy getting from bus stop to pub on Delph Rd, the smell was alluring so went back inside. Ordered a lovely lots of chips with curry sauce. Food was delicious, hot & moreish. Sat & ate it by the canals nearby. Will happily detour back in here when I am next in the area.

I make a point of going here at least once every time I'm back in Brierley Hill visiting family. Good chips, huge fish with delicate batter - a change from the thick, overdone batter you get covering up the small fish portions in some places. My wife goes for the Mediterranean chicken kebabs. Excellent quality all round, served with a smile.

I usualy phone and order two fish either cod, place or hake all are good quality, if you order the big it is probably enough for two people! Well worth a visit.

Love the cheery welcome and the yummy fish n chips, Sausage n chips, pasty n chips. Thoroughly recommend.

Such a shame because this chippy used to be one of the best. Unfortunately this is not the case anymore, to be quite frank the food is now vile 👎🏼

We ordered 6 Large Naan Kebabs.The meat is to die for! Not too greasy, just right. Very reasonably priced, excellent service and genuinely lovely people. Would definitely recommend it and will be returning. Thanks Rock Fryer!!!

Es bastante pequeño, así que encontrar a veces chips con tener la salida de la puerta, que no es una mala cosa! Por lo menos saben que es una comida decente que la gente esté dispuesta a hacer cola! El personal es amable y acogedor,...

Teníamos 5 kebabs (en pan naan) para llevar, y eran todos muy impresionados con el tamaño y la calidad. El caballero fue muy amable, y nos daba más tazas de salsa de jalapeños y una bañera. Las patatas fritas eran muy sabroso, con poco o nada de grasa. Magnífico. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

This is my local chippy and to be fair it's s bit hit and miss. Sometimes the chips could do with cooking a bit longer. However the staff are lovely and the shop is very clean

I've came here a few times to takeaway food for the family and myself. Staff are really friendly, best local chip shop around the area and the food is always nice and not full of grease. Only chip shop I ever really want to go to as it's a favourite place to get good service and good quality food.

Simply the Best chippy in Brierley Hill in my opinion.Awarded 5 star Food Hygiene Certification says it all for me. I can buy they're food confident in knowing that not only does it taste good, it's safe. the staff are conscientious and friendly. Job Done!

When i unwrapped the food, the chips looked so disgusting they went straight in the bin. The fish was ok but the batter went in the bin as well. I suggest they change the oil more frequent.They had no pitta or nan bread so we had a kebab wrap..........mistake, never again.

Its a good clean chippers, fairly standard menu. But its all good decent and as I said spotlessly clean.

Go here on a regular basis, never had a bad meal! Clean, staff are nice and lovely fish and chips :-)

Service is top notch, lovely family that run the shop however it is priced a little high for their specials and the food quality is not worth the additional expense.

Nice clean warm chippy, 5 star hygiene rating, good efficient staff. Good range of foods and specials also healthy salad, kids meals, smaller portions all a good prices.

Don't bother ordering a large kebab save your money and order a small as they are the same size...the fish was well worth the money though.

Really fancied some fish and chips and I'd overheard somebody saying how good this chippie was so I'd thought I'd try it, the chips were a mixture of cold and warm and the fish had the most bizarre batter that I have ever tasted, it wasn't crispy it was more like a doughy old pancake wrapped around a piece of to be fair quite nice white fish, I won't be back in hurry. Put me off fish and chips for life I reckon

All I can say is fab, fab, fab. This man knows his chips and his scollops are to die for, the curry sauce is not half bad either. Yum Yum

Very average chippy hard but greasy chips, sloppy undercooked fish. The fish was all batter and no fish... Don't waist your money go to a decent chip shop... Kings Kingswinford is really good. The Ocean by wordsley cone is good also.

huge portion of chips, fantastic size fish, brilliant kebabs. Staff are great, prices are ok and its also clean inside. Also one portion will easily feed two people. Having sampled various chippys in the area, the Rock Fryer has to be one of , if not the best in and around Brierley hill

I use this chippy regular and can't complain much food is to a standard and the staff are always nice and polite but to prices are always going up and up and there ain't no change in the standards to warrant it. Food is normally very nice with only a few nit picking thing on a few occasions but nothing that would stop me using the place

Very hit and miss. We regularly use this chippy and sometimes we wonder why we use them! The portion sizes are shocking for what you pay (but it depends who's on!) and you can tell when the chips have been sitting there for a while. They have a captive audience though as the next chippy is a walk up the hill into the high street Lovely people though

Just moved to the area and was told to go as the food was nice. How wrong could they be. Had a Roe and Chip special. Chips were stale and hard and the batter on the Roe was rock solid. Had to throw it all away. Worst chips I've had in years.

I've been coming here for a few years now. Chips so hot they're hard to eat at first! Kebab meat excellent and huge fish. Friendly staff too who know their business and customers. The number 1 chip shop in the area.

I love the Food and it's easy to get to from my house, I always go after I've been for a walk or a drink in the pub

I almost always get my fish and chips from here, the portions are very good so much so me and my partner will often share a fish and chip as they are the size of a small whale!! Only negative is the batter can be quite soggy.

Excellent fast food - be warned they do not serve usual size fish! Never seen fish that size before! Very tasty, clean friendly service
