Rachel’s smoky bbq pizza was delicious

Made a few Friday lunch visits with family. Food tasty, staff friendly and helpful. Will be returning. Returned Friday 13th with family for lunch. Service first rate, by John. Food all excellent.

The Glassworks is our local and we love popping here midweek for the quiz. John is fantastic.

One of our fave locals that caters to all the family with a great kids menu & play area. Warm & welcoming staff & tasty food for all.

After a nice chillee drink straight from work, even though the staff were rushed off their feet, the barman Sam was ever so attentive and enthusiastic with every single customer. Such a great energy and enjoy my time everytime I visit

Came for Sunday lunch. Was given a warm welcome by a member of staff called Carol who was extremely accommodating and enjoyed a great meal, will be returning very soon

Great pub but was dissapointed how much food on the menu wasnt available. My daughter wanted the kids korma-Not available, my partner wanted the kebab chicken-Not available and my mother-in-law wanted the scampi-Not available. Also more staff needed on the bar as service was quite slow. Loved the QR code on the table to order food as the bar queue was enormous-Great feature 👍 Lovely outdoor area for the adults in the beer garden and a fantastic play area for the kids with a climbing frame, rickity rackity bridge and a metal slide.

No reservation, pick any table not reserved. Order came food good, we had a 30% discount delivered hence thought we'd try it out. Barman very pleasant. Also, offered us and others free pub quiz, can win money etc too. Didn't partake because we wanted to play pool instead, £1.50 a go. They had a large TV too, so watched some French Olympics.

Bank holiday Monday meal. Lovely welcome from Jade at the bar. Served really quickly and nice quiet table found for us. Good beer at reasonable price. Excellent food too

Staff were lovely and tried very hard to make sure we were looked after. I would strongly recommend having more staff on shifts because they were run ragged.

I would give 3 and 1/2 stars but that’s not an option so upgraded to 4 star. The pub seems to gone back 12 months, in a good way!! It’s back to its best in my opinion, the only small issues for me are the food still ain’t great, onion rings are not good at all, the fish I had recently was rock hard, the sweet potato fries were cold and the rice with the curry was hard. Shame really as the last few visits had been ok. It’s not put me off but a bit more attention to the kitchen would be advantageous.

Decent food at a reasonable price. The place was fuller than expected due to kids eating for a quid during school holidays. Popped in for lunch, and had the Steak & Ale pie, and the other half had the spicy burger with extra onion rings. A pint of Wainwright's & a Strongbow all for £26 with Gourmet Society card. Plenty of parking spaces.

Came in for a family get together the Sunday dinners where fantastic staff where all amazing the manger Carol was outstanding and I couldn't fault her will be returning again

Very disappointing. My wife and I for a Friday evening meal. First I was not asked if we had any allergies, also I was not advised of a long wait for food. After about 50 minutes our starter arrived, after I complained, my Breaded Mushrooms were well over cooked and arrived without the garlic mayonnaise or the chopped chives. Our Burgers when they arrived were also over cooked, the outside was burnt to a crust and the inside was very dry. We complained to the waitress but no action taken. Very unappetising. Would not recommend and we will not be returning.

The meals we ordered were nice, well cooked and well presented. One meal came out with wrong items on but this was corrected. Negatives: Tables and menus were dirty, a member of staff did come a wipe the table. No napkins. It was disappointing that people are allowed to take dogs in the place. Trying to have a pleasant evening with dogs barking is not great. Doubt we'll go again.

When i walked in it was filthy, loads of empty tables with plates it didn’t look appeasing. The food came quick which is good, however as soon as i finished the mega mixed grill I started to feel funny and then instantly was threw the food back up and have been sick since. Even the toilet was filthy whilst I was throwing up which kinda made it worse. I can safely say I won’t be returning

Just been to the glasswork pub for the first time got served by Matt and Sam both were very bubbly and the food was great will definitely be coming here again and recommend to anyone go and pay them a visit great food great service what more do you want yeah blue light discount too 😀

I had the mega mix grill the steak very peppery and tuff wife had rump steak could not cut it with steak knife and her steak was peppery could not eat it half of steak table was very sticky would not recommend

came for my dads bday lady sat us down on a filthy table food all over it clearly not wiped floor a mess had to wipe my own table. chef unprofessionally sitting out front playing video games (could tell he wasn’t very clean) couldn’t even bring ourself to eat there due to lack of hygiene and poor attitude so took our business elsewhere. would rate 0 stars if i could

Popped in for some dinner on the school holidays. Great service from Sam, Carol and Lorna. Southern fried chicken burgers were amazing as always. Will deffo be back

My partners parents go here regularly and recommended us to go for a meal with them. My father in law had a mixed grill and was bigger than average, while ny mither in law had a huge huntets chicken. We both had the vegan chilli con carni, and it was ok. My partners was cold. However, they soon got him a fresh hot one and was handled fantastically.

The staff and atmosphere were excellent as always. Very friendly and helpful staff.

staff were friendly and courteous. Food was OK but they brought out the starter and main meal together so by the time we'd eaten the starter, the main was going cold. Never had this happen in any other restaurant. The scan app to bring food to the table took about 30 minutes as the reception was terrible..even using their WiFi.

Always great, friendly service at the bar from Rachel and Carol, and the food from Steven and Danny was on point today. Surf and turf, chicken kebab, chilli burger, pizza and fish and chips were all a very good standard! Smashing it at the moment !!

We popped into here for a drink while we waited for our car to be repaired. We were served by John and he was lovely and a credit to your team. He also was able to sort out a problem with the pool table when it wouldn't work for us. We didn't have the food so can't comment on that. The atmosphere i could only score it low as we were the only customers in there, might get a bit more lively later on. Toilets were lovely and clean.

Me and my partner and My daughter go here nearly every day for food it's amazing place good for kids the atmosphere is always great and never ever had problems In there the manager is lovely always comes and takes time out to come and speak to us and to c if My partners pregnancy is OK and can't wait to see our lil boy all the staff are very polite and helpful we have become regulars to the place we moved round here around 2 and half yrs ago now from the first time we went there we new we would be back they have booths with tvs In play area for the kids they have a outdoor play area with climbing fram slide and few other things if your looking for a lovely environment for you and your family to go and have a meal here is your place you won't be disappointed as we are always happy when leaving and our daughter loves the little Rita pizza thanks glass works for your amazing service c you again soon 💯💙

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with the family and little ones this afternoon whilst the football was in the back. Was fab to have a catch up, lush food and not too loud for the little ones. Staff were wonderful. Thank you.

Awful. Don't bother. Not enough members of staff. Don't even get acknowledged when been waiting ages. Two separate queues for food and drink but of course they only ever concentrate on the Luke warm food . Pointless establishment. Typical Marston's.

We were pleased to be seated at the table we had requested- a quiet table in the corner. Excellent choice of drinks, including good beers. I chose fish & chips 🍟 but they only had fries which I didn't enjoy, also the fish was overcooked & dry but a member of staff didn't ask if everything was OK!!

Prebooked before attending and was shown to a table, but this was a little too cramped as it was a booth. We asked to change and was immediately shown another more suitable table. The order was taken at the bar and the staff member could not have been more friendly or helpful Made sure we had ordered correctly and gave us a tray for our drinks The food was delicious and arrived quite quickly, (starters). These were cleared away before our mains arrived and additional cutlery brought, which was gratefully received. Everything was hot and brought out very quickly, so that our whole table of 5 could eat together Very happy customer , who will definitely return for another visit soon

Not sure if there are new owners, but a definite improvement recently in terms of atmosphere and quality of food.

We visit this pub often on a Sunday for the roast dinner and we think the quality, quantity & value for money is fab , that’s why we keep coming back . We have one veggie roast & the rest meat. The relaxed atmosphere, kids play areas and friendly staff make it a lovely place to visit. One of my children is autistic & the staff gp out of their way to make him feel welcome & comfortable. Today we were served by Rachel - who was lovely as usual. 👍 See you next weekend for Father’s Day .

Can't fault the place at all. Always amazing food and lovely atmosphere. We go here on a regular basis and are very loyal customers. The staff are all friendly and go above and beyond to help you. A lovely climbing frame and stuff for kids to do and play.

Went into the glassworks today for a quick meal. Greeted by such friendly staff John, Jade and Luey were such lovely members of staff who served me on the bar and brought me my food. The food came out so quick and was really nice quality. Being a fussy eater the staff were so kind about it and it came back right the first time. Thank you to the kitchen team for meeting all my requests. Would definitely come back thank you glassworks team.

Well. Voucher in post no wonder. Been a while since I’ve been here and I have to say it’s not good. Barman pleasant but must say just two staff. Had a beer and a glass of wine way over priced. Tables sticky menu stuck together should have known better. Ordered mixed grill and a pizza. Pizza was awful grill was ok but I’ve had much better. Server might as well of chucked plates at us very rude never asked if we needed or wanted anything and never asked if everything was ok. To be honest 1 Star is being nice. Very poor. Just about to post and asked what dishes or anything I would recommend Well no there isn’t . Try somewhere else shocking

Bar guy is great although he said he was leaving which is a shame as he creates a great atmosphere. Food is general pub food. There's a pool table and kids play area which is OK!

Booked a table for 10 last night and first time visiting. Food was really nice good menu with lots to choose from. Food came out really quick and staff were helpful and very friendly. Will definitely be back again.

Went here with some friends. Ordered the Hunters Chicken - but wish I hadn’t. The chicken was inedible - dry, hard and tasteless. Bacon shrivelled and hard. Manager very unprofessional when staff (who agreed chicken was not good) told him of the complaint. Had to buy a ready meal on the way back home 🙈

Much improved service this lunchtime. Variety of food on offer. Our meals looked good, tasted good and we're well priced. Our grandsons enjoyed their burgers and the baguette melts were fine too.

Fantastic food, amazing service and Sam is just meant for this job. He’s accommodating, excellent customer rapport and welcoming.

Love it here. Food is always great quality and very reasonably priced. Wait times are what you expect and are not ridiculous. Well managed and staff are great. We live about a 20 min drive away but always class The Glassworks as our local. We always feel well looked after.

Food was amazing it came out quickly and piping hot, it had a lovely friendly atmosphere with plenty to keep the kids occupied. Fantastic food menu which caters for every need. Highly recommend.

Terrible service, staff which are unhelpful. The only pub I've ever walked into and not bought a drink or food because the servers were so bad.

Did not enjoy the food the gammon was to salty and the fryer needs cleaning because the chips had black bits over them and were not nice

Food was 10/10. Myself and my family enjoyed. We always have a nice time at The Glassworks. Jade was our host and she was very welcoming and good at her job 😊
