Food was nice but the portion was small. Had burger and chips and it looked like a children's meal. Staff got mixed up with the food and a drinks order and for so close to Christmas there was no atmosphere. Compared with the bankfield inn which I got to quite a lot I was disappointed.

The food was excellent, portions were huge and I would highly recommend the dough balls!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also attended the quiz which was good fun.

Good food, cooked perfectly, nice selection of veg , large portions, had xmas menu value for money excellent, staff who waited on us were brilliant made our night for ladies xmas meal thank you all so much we will be back .

Fantastic staff, excellent food and fairly priced. The quiz is also lots of fun on Thursday night. We will absolutely be back again soon.

Meals arrived at different times. Most of our party had finished well before the final meal had arrived.

We visit a lot and have always had good meals but I had the hunters chicken tonight and it was dire… dry chicken overcooked bacon, dry and tasteless chips and a very suspicious looking tomato … not sure if chef has changed but change him back quickly … very disappointed

Waiters were very polite and attentive. We had pre-ordered the 3 course festive menu. The food was lovely, and plenty of it, was served hot. Had no complaints at all.

First time visitors for a family meal. Food was fantastic. Pub was quiet as was a weeknight with no events on, but looking at the schedule of events the team clearly put in a lot of effort to entertain.

Go there regularly. Food is excellent especially mac and cheese with pulled pork. Best one ever at pub or restaurant

Food and service were good. Spoilt by 4/5 young children running around screaming and shouting (not in family area and parents nowhere to be seen). Believe parents were off duty staff. Great for them but not for us.

Great pub. Bar staff are really friendly. Music is a nice touch. Wetherspoon prices. Pool table and play area for kids.

Good value for money / most pubs are now out pricing themselves

Came Sunday evening I am absolutely amazed how the staff handled a situation that was going on the manger on Duty took full control made sure everyone was safe well done to the lady manger who came to us all to explain the situation she is a credit to Marstons will be back again soon

Nice place, nice staff but food needs improvement, over cooked steak flan too dry and needed sauce. Very disappointing.. won't hurry back im afraid

Great afternoon. Lovely staff. Food good & reasonable price. Entered quiz & ended up winning it to our surprise. First visit to celebrate my son & husbands birthdays. My 30mth old Grandson loved it as Xmas decorations were up. Will definitely visit again.

Slightly quiet on a wet Wednesday evening but thats not the pubs fault. Food was banging. Danielle and Stevo did a great job. Ordered a pizza and some burgers for my mates. Good portions and great taste. Will be back.

There food is absolutely terrible I had Sunday lunch surpossed to be half a chicken can not describe it though maybe it was some sort of bird but definitely not chicken so small we had 30% of price even that was over priced they served us 45 mins after we ordered one of my party had steak that also was disgusting will not go again

John served us today and was very friendly. He even tried to give us a scare with the Halloween animatronics. Always a great place to come especially with children because the park keeps them busy.

Food was lovely but when we arrived at our reserved table there was still dirty plates 🍽 , cups & glasses left on the table. I asked one of the servers (a women with long dark hair) if our table could be cleared/cleaned and waited 15 minutes & no one bothered to clear it. My hubby ended up clearing the mess away himself.

The Food is amazing and the staff are friendly it has ease of parking and a kids play park outside and toddler area inside.

Foods great. The staff are amazing and helpful. And it has a park at the back for the kids to play and a massive carpark

This was my first visit in a long time; we were visiting for a family meal for a child's birthday. At entry, you get a decent welcome; the decor is nice, and there is plenty for children to do: outdoor play area, games, and other nice touches. We were seated at our table and were supplied with a high chair for our 2-year-old; however, it was placed at a table twice the height. The solution was to give us 4 chairs stacked on each other, not something I was hugely comfortable with or felt utterly safe about. It was very busy, and a 30% off voucher was in circulation, which was expected. The wait for drinks, food, and anything else was long. We ordered our first drinks from the bar. The staff, having poured the Guinness, said it would be brought to our table when it was ready so they could serve other customers; it took 20 minutes to reach us, and by then, it was warm. Having waited a while for our food, it arrived and looked okay, and most of the meals around our table went down decently. Although the child's meal came with cold corn on the cob and virtually burnt waffles, my wife's gammon was tough and inedible, and my burger wasn't warm. We don't know the place well, but we were seated in the bar area rather than the restaurant and had the dogs sitting with us at neighbouring tables. Would I rush to return? No. Would I recommend it to anyone else? No, but it seemed like a decent place for a pint, but I wouldn't expect a fine dining experience.

I appreciate that it was busy, and to be fair the food did come out in reasonable time. I also appreciate that because we had a dog with us we had to sit over in the bar area rather than the dining area. However, the only table available that wasn't reserved had empty or half empty glasses on it. There had obviously been a spillage as the table was also partially covered in a sticky mess. Several staff members walked by but not one of them offered to clear the glasses or wipe the table over. When the server arrived with our food, she just served the meals and went to walk away, until we asked her if she would at least clear the glasses off the table, which she grudgingly did while offering some excuse about being "on food" Now talking of food, mine (steak and ale pie) was actually very nice, although I thought they were a bit stingy with the cips. My stepdaughter had the lasagne, which again was tasty although it wasn't really a lasagne, my partner however wasn't very pleased with her hunters chicken. The bacon was burnt (properly burnt black) and the chicken was that overcooked that it had gone dry and chewy. Not good! Finally, who's bright idea was it to put a dartboard in an area where people are eating? At least cover the thing at peak times! We had a guy playing darts right next to us, all through our meal, he even knocked my girlfriend a couple of times because the oche was right next to us! I appreciate as I said that we were in the bar area but in pubs like this the bar becomes an extention of the dining area at peak times, so the dartboard should be covered. While we were there the staff came and reserved a table where the one diner was going to have their head virtually right under the dartboad, I only hope the Phil Taylor wannabe had packed in by then or they were gonna get an arrow in the ear!! All in all, not good. I don't think we'll be going back. It needs more staff and more thought by the staff who are there. It's a shame because it used to be really good!

Great friendly service. Fantastic food , mixed grill was tasty and meat was tender. Cheese and leek pie , fabulous. But omg, the sherry trifle cheesecake....amazing. Definitely be back.

Just had 1 mixed grill and 2 mega mixed grill at the glassworks in Wordsley. Can I say this food was absolutely amazing, Danny the chef did the steak to perfection medium to rare and a steak medium to well done. Not many places you go to where you find the food red hot and cooked perfectly. Well done 👍🏼

The Glassworks is our local and we love popping here midweek for the quiz. John is fantastic.

After a nice chillee drink straight from work, even though the staff were rushed off their feet, the barman Sam was ever so attentive and enthusiastic with every single customer. Such a great energy and enjoy my time everytime I visit

Great pub but was dissapointed how much food on the menu wasnt available. My daughter wanted the kids korma-Not available, my partner wanted the kebab chicken-Not available and my mother-in-law wanted the scampi-Not available. Also more staff needed on the bar as service was quite slow. Loved the QR code on the table to order food as the bar queue was enormous-Great feature 👍 Lovely outdoor area for the adults in the beer garden and a fantastic play area for the kids with a climbing frame, rickity rackity bridge and a metal slide.

No reservation, pick any table not reserved. Order came food good, we had a 30% discount delivered hence thought we'd try it out. Barman very pleasant. Also, offered us and others free pub quiz, can win money etc too. Didn't partake because we wanted to play pool instead, £1.50 a go. They had a large TV too, so watched some French Olympics.

Staff were lovely and tried very hard to make sure we were looked after. I would strongly recommend having more staff on shifts because they were run ragged.

I would give 3 and 1/2 stars but that’s not an option so upgraded to 4 star. The pub seems to gone back 12 months, in a good way!! It’s back to its best in my opinion, the only small issues for me are the food still ain’t great, onion rings are not good at all, the fish I had recently was rock hard, the sweet potato fries were cold and the rice with the curry was hard. Shame really as the last few visits had been ok. It’s not put me off but a bit more attention to the kitchen would be advantageous.

Decent food at a reasonable price. The place was fuller than expected due to kids eating for a quid during school holidays. Popped in for lunch, and had the Steak & Ale pie, and the other half had the spicy burger with extra onion rings. A pint of Wainwright's & a Strongbow all for £26 with Gourmet Society card. Plenty of parking spaces.

Came in for a family get together the Sunday dinners where fantastic staff where all amazing the manger Carol was outstanding and I couldn't fault her will be returning again

Food was great though the drinks are quite pricey.

The meals we ordered were nice, well cooked and well presented. One meal came out with wrong items on but this was corrected. Negatives: Tables and menus were dirty, a member of staff did come a wipe the table. No napkins. It was disappointing that people are allowed to take dogs in the place. Trying to have a pleasant evening with dogs barking is not great. Doubt we'll go again.

Very disappointing. My wife and I for a Friday evening meal. First I was not asked if we had any allergies, also I was not advised of a long wait for food. After about 50 minutes our starter arrived, after I complained, my Breaded Mushrooms were well over cooked and arrived without the garlic mayonnaise or the chopped chives. Our Burgers when they arrived were also over cooked, the outside was burnt to a crust and the inside was very dry. We complained to the waitress but no action taken. Very unappetising. Would not recommend and we will not be returning.

When i walked in it was filthy, loads of empty tables with plates it didn’t look appeasing. The food came quick which is good, however as soon as i finished the mega mixed grill I started to feel funny and then instantly was threw the food back up and have been sick since. Even the toilet was filthy whilst I was throwing up which kinda made it worse. I can safely say I won’t be returning

Just been to the glasswork pub for the first time got served by Matt and Sam both were very bubbly and the food was great will definitely be coming here again and recommend to anyone go and pay them a visit great food great service what more do you want yeah blue light discount too 😀

I had the mega mix grill the steak very peppery and tuff wife had rump steak could not cut it with steak knife and her steak was peppery could not eat it half of steak table was very sticky would not recommend

came for my dads bday lady sat us down on a filthy table food all over it clearly not wiped floor a mess had to wipe my own table. chef unprofessionally sitting out front playing video games (could tell he wasn’t very clean) couldn’t even bring ourself to eat there due to lack of hygiene and poor attitude so took our business elsewhere. would rate 0 stars if i could

My partners parents go here regularly and recommended us to go for a meal with them. My father in law had a mixed grill and was bigger than average, while ny mither in law had a huge huntets chicken. We both had the vegan chilli con carni, and it was ok. My partners was cold. However, they soon got him a fresh hot one and was handled fantastically.

Popped in for some dinner on the school holidays. Great service from Sam, Carol and Lorna. Southern fried chicken burgers were amazing as always. Will deffo be back

staff were friendly and courteous. Food was OK but they brought out the starter and main meal together so by the time we'd eaten the starter, the main was going cold. Never had this happen in any other restaurant. The scan app to bring food to the table took about 30 minutes as the reception was terrible..even using their WiFi.
