A gem of a pub with really friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. There is a large selection of ales including some from local breweries. Food was hot and tasty.

Worst Wetherspoons breakfast I have had. Firstly it took almost half an hour to arrive. The bacon was chrispy to the extent that it was rock hard. The egg was solid, the rest of it varied between cold and just warm. In normal circumstances I would have sent it back, but at brealfast time I could not afford to wait for half an hour to have it replaced. Usually Wetherspoons are good, not this one.

It's weatherspoons... You get what you pay for.

Machines are never full; staff are rude and are reluctant to do their jobs, toilets are putrid and always distinguished smelly there is no locks on them either which fir my 10 year old boy was quite an experience to discover. I am Appaled. Standard has dropped IMMENSELY.

Had to complain about wait. Manager gave me free pint and food was lovely. All hot and pepper sauce was nice. You pay for what you get. Spoons standard

A good wetherspoons food tends to be good for a spoons. Good sized portions and great value for money as it seems to be cheaper here than other spoons. Seating area outside always nice too

Truly a 5 Star pub! I love the place. It's actually my favourite pub, it off all the pubs I've been to (not just out of all the wetherspoons pubs). I'm grateful that it's on my doorstep. The staff have always been polite and good at their job and the cold produce well made food. Good prices Clean Spacious but can also hold a lot of groups of friends in their own spaces, while having the choice to mingle with other strangers/groups if they want. The best setup in my opinion.

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, with a highly stylish interior! This is contributed to from the chandeliers and red patterns on the wall, counter is nicely presented too. I had a refreshing pint of Kopparberg, enjoying the outdoor seating in the sunlight!

My son and I usually come here after swimming at the crystal leisure centre The food is reasonably priced and so are the drinks too being a weatherspoons. It always seems to have a few people in but we've never had a problem getting a table.

Worst Wetherspoons I have ever been in. Poorly maintained, waited 20 minutes for coffee cup then machine not working. Trying to run a busy pub on a skeleton crew is never a good idea. Stop being so mean and employ some staff.

I've now, after many years changed my opinion on Weatherspoons portion sizes. For me the days have gone, from you get what you pay for, to now being overcharged for what is realistically little more than a snack. We all know too well that everything has become so much more expensive so I'm thaking that into account. A friend of mine eats here as good as every Saturday, it's a treat really, the photos I see add icing to my own experience. In future, even though I can afford it, I will seriously think twice about ordering anything other than a pint or two. Portion size is no longer adequate, it's no longer a meal its a part measure. Other chains are heading the same way, but not yet to the degree I experience with Wetherspoons.

Good food, and a great choice of drinks at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly enough, and tables are cleaned quickly after use. The place is clean and tidy. It has a couple of small outdoor seating areas at the front and back. Parking in the area is the only problem.

Cavernous spoons at start of high street, pleasant staff, only negative toilets up a long flight of stairs. Standard spoons fare, incredible value with trad brekky and unlimited hot drinks 2 for less than a tenner! Parking can be a problem but good local transport links close by.

Visited with a couple of friends and the atmosphere was so dull and kind of judgmental… the service was poor as well. They gave me the wrong drink and when I enquired about it the server LAUGHED in my face and told me that’s just how the drink is made when that is in fact not the drink I ordered. Food was not enjoyable at all. The pizza I had was sickening. I will not be returning in the future, your money is better off spent elsewhere.

Took my son to the town prior to starting college. Popped into the pub for lunch and a drink. All the staff were friendly, polite & professional. Great service, price, and food was lovely. Unable to use the app for table service, connected to their WiFi, but still didn't work. Unable to get any service in their.

Lovely day at fete in Stourbridge today tht we would pop in b4 our journey home ..only to be humiliated and intimidated by the T#a# behined the bar !!! Waited ages to b served for 1 tea 1 coffee ( not hard) ..young blonde lady saw us...ignored us! My husband asked why we we being ignored ...young man came over with quirkey hair and sarcastic smirk !!! ( same as the blonde) ..Told him what i wanted .(.trying to find change ( save giving him a £20) ..Then he said " Oh are you trying to find your pennies"? Cheeky mor#n ..never mind you will age one day ..and myb Karma will come around ..Disgusting service!!! ..One star was for the tea !!! So upsetting .

Yes, this is your typical JD Wetherspoons establishment, so if you have visited any of the chains other pubs you know what you are getting. As usual, this is a large pub/restaurant, so there is plenty of space and tables. The day we visited, we had no problems getting a table. Using their app was quick and easy, with the food being served to us within a very short time. Piping hot and for pub food was delicious. Great value as always with JD Wetherspoons, and this ticked all the boxes so well worth a stop if you are in Stourbridge.

Dull and unfriendly Monday 10th June 630 ish. Young lady behind bar struggled to utter a word. 2 meals ordered peri chicken and lemon chicken, stone cold , returned to cook. Foul language heard from managers during banter exchange with cook. I was with my 13 year old daughter. Totally unimpressed, we live in Oldbury, stopped useing Court of request for the same reasons. So decided for a change, let's try Stourbridge. Ha well the nature it seems is indemic to Spoons. God help them.

Food was awful glaze on chicken was like wallpaper paste tasted like it I know it's not cordon bleu standard but half chicken still had lungs stuck inside ribs, that should have been picked up at processing point before it even arrived at restaurant. Chicken over microwaved supposed to be finished on chargrilled no evidence.Bar drinks no fruit garnish (lemon,)no choice of gin just Gordon's, real ale flat ! Not the best experience

Never again, my sisters steak came undercooked, chips and onion rings were burnt on all meals (oil change) steak sauce came in the boat it was microwaved in.. will certainly renew our after swim venue. Service was standard as you'd expect for a spoons but steak club certainly could have been better.

Number of staff members varies. Food could be served on hot plates. Menu is getting very boring. Service is usually good .

Staff don't listen and get drink orders wrong, but it seems getting it wrong and not caring or putting it right is common place and not restricted to spoons. we even had to wipe the table ourselves this evening

Double burger with chips well burger was rubbish and think they had run out of chips there were 10 on the plate, will not eat there again

Pleasant staff, the food was the same as you get at most wetherspoons and the pub was reasonably busy with a nice atmosphere. It does take a while for food to arrive when it's a bit busier

Drinks often take quite a while to come to the table, but that's it.

A traditional old family pub situated at the beginning of Stourbridge High Street. It has an enormous lounge with quite an impressive central island bar, although the interior decor is starting to show its age . The service is fast and efficient, more than other Wetherspoon pubs that I have been to. So, it is still is a good experience, worth going to at least once to know.

I came in on my own to have a drink as I was waiting for a lift and I as I came in I was welcomed by the lady behind the bar and she had a chat with me as I was waiting for my drink very nice lady

1st visit Good quick bite. Nice large room needs a little TLC but all ok. 2nd visit Popped in again just for a couple of drinks was a bit quieter this time as after 2.30. cheap drinks and pleasant staff member serving so all good.

It is good, the fish and chips is very good so probably everything else in terms of food should be good. The service is extremely helpful but burocratic, which in some ways is not good for a pub because it should be human., not clinical.

Great set up in here with the island bar and the abundance of windows makes for a bright and airy experience. All staff very friendly and helpful. Despite a limited choice of guest cask ales the Exmoor Gold was A# 👍🏻

We just had a drink, a really great spoons.

I find that in my opinion the chequers is not as good as it was ever since the new manager a lady known as Siobhan took over. She’s very abrupt and got no hospitality towards her customers. She’s loud and bossy . Iv been a customer there for years and go in most days. The atmosphere is awful . Friday the 9th of February there was nearly an empty pub and it’s been like that fora while. An incident occurred where a customer was threatened and nothing was done the staff didn’t ask him to leave . When the customer told Siobhan she said what do you want me to do a F——-g about it. And I know this is what was said as the person who was threatened was my brother. I thought weatherspoons was a safe place. 😖

I've had a bad one here before thought I'd give em another chance how wrong was l could count the beans on one hand and cold two eggs very snotty not cooked on top mushroom was nice sausage dry best thing was refillable tea..I know its cheap but I left most of it on my plate

I’d avoid and head to one of the other similar places nearby. I arrived at around 11am with two kids looking for a bit of brunch after swimming. Ordered on the app fine, but our 3 small breakfasts and hot drinks. First issue was having t queue for a coffee for nearly 10 mins because one machine was out of service, and the food didn’t come for over 30 minutes. When it did arrive, the food was cold, but the plates boiling, indicating it had been sitting on the hot plate waiting to be collected for ages. Clearly the issue here is front of house. When the food arrived, we were offered a meagre and rushed ‘thanks for waiting’, and not given cutlery. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s a Spoons and I don’t expect anything above the most basic service, but this was poor. A number of other recent reviews have said the same thing, so clearly the place is long-term, if not permanently, understaffed.
