Great family pub, good food at a reasonable price

Should've trusted our instincts and not returned but called in last week for a cold drink after walking into Bridport from Eype. Filthy tables (and toilets!) and full of the 'usual' very early morning drinkers! Lesson learnt!

This 5 star rating is for the breakfast service i use after dropping off the kids at school. Well worth a breakfast trip. However I cannot comment on the rest of the meals available there.

The view is brilliant outside, a nice play to enjoy the sun set. But it always seems to be understaffed, wait times at the bar are always long and plates are never cleared after eating. Fish and Chips was very tasty!

We were at Andi Oliver’s book launch about her traditional cooking , there were 165 covers all being served at more or less the same time and you could tell as everything was overcooked or dried out , there was also a “service” charge added to our bottle of wine, the girl didn’t know how to do it without……they didn’t pour the wine so no actual “service” we were lucky enough to have a banquet seat but others were perched on barstools on small high tables !

It’s a Wetherspoons! You get what you expect. Great food and drink at a great price, surprisingly you don’t have to go to Narnia to find the toilets.

I was drawn to Sainsbury's as I had some voucher to spend on a £60 shop. I most often shop at lidl or Aldi and found Sainsbury's really expensive, even when compared to Tesco. Also, there was only one assisted checkout and all the others being self-service. This is pitiful given the amount you are spending. I won't be rushing back.

Popped in for quick drinks, sorry have to say 2 Coffees (flat white) taste weird not nice I’m not sure what’s wrong with the coffee machine but we not make a fuss. Cold drinks and Beers was good atmosphere very good.

Fantastic service and really welcoming from Daisy-May and the team. We have a newborn so needed a booth in a quieter spot, this was no trouble at all for the staff. The food was also all really tasty, we had roasts and it was all fresh and cooked to a high standard. Pleasantly surprised by Beefeater.👌👌

This place has nothing going for it at all. Salad bar was mostly an island devoid of salad, although there was plenty on the floor round the salad bar. Main meals were mostly ok apart from cold burgers and cake that was still frozen inside. Two of the waiting staff need to realize that wearing dirty T shirts does not give a good impression. Recommend if you are on the M5, keep going! Ps, having been on TripAdvisor for around 10 years, this is the first ever 1 star review!

Had a great time here playing with Firestations. It's run by a team of people who genuinely seem to care about creating a space where good stuff can happen and people can be together. Support your local music venues!

We visited as a family for our meal after a long day driving. Staff friendly and welocming. It appeared to be busy as staff seemed really busy serving tables. We ordered starter but it was out of stock (chicken Goujons) we initially were served by the girl who showed us to our table. We then had Josh serving us with our food and he was great checking we were fine and taking further drinks orders and desert. Staff did seem very busy. Food was as you expect in Beef eater although my partners chicken melt, the chicken was bit over cooked and too well done making it hard to chew.

Lovely little pub food is decent for the pricing. I’ve been going over year only had to send my food back once because my chicken was under done
