Amazing food. Kayleigh provided a brilliant service from start to finish. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back in the near future.

Excellent breakfast and service from Gabriel. A great selection of foods to choose from. Poached eggs were cooked to perfection by Steve. A great way to start the day!

Had a brilliant night at beefeater. We had originally booked a table for 2 but 4 of us came along and they were able to accommodate us last minute. Josh, our server, was friendly and attentive and really made it a fun experience. Thanks for a lovely evening, Josh :)

Lovely staff made sure we had a drink and that we were satisfied with are meal.but the chips were wrong on one of the meals but they quickly changed it so we could enjoy it.

Monday night cold n wet and of course it's gets dark earlier now since the clocks went back... Decided to have a random date night didn't book in advance and after seeing a full car park we were fully expecting to be turned away! We were greeted immediately by a very welcoming host called Josh... It was a packed restaurant but it was clear that he really wanted to accommodate and go the extra mile. He sat us at the table took our drinks order immediately and introduced us to our server Judith who was also exceptional at looking after us... Great food, first class service - would highly recommend on all counts - thanks again josh - we will be back soon for sure!

Car park was rammed with loads of work vans parked carelessly throughout the carpark, struggled to find a place to park. Once inside, the restaurant was full, probably due to everyone having a 40% discount voucher. Took 10mins for someone to take our drinks order and another 10mins for them to arrive. Food order finally taken and proceeded to take 55 mins for 2 steaks and a plate of ribs to arrive, and this was after we had chased and asked to speak to someone in charge. Ribs were cold and husband refused to have a new meal plated due to time waited. We were there 2 hrs and only 2 of us ended up having 1 medicore course. He did get a free beer, and management finally came and spoke to us. Apparently they don't have any control of their booking system and can't turn it off, so they have to accept bookings even though they know they can't cope with it. Husbands birthday meal was ruined. Felt for staff who seem to not have any local control over the restaurants booking system but we were told they were still taking in walks in. We won't return for a long time, unfortunately, even though it is very local to us

Really great food, perfectly cooked steak, staff were really friendly and helpful and a nice large, clean restaurant. Only reason for 4 stars is the high prices

Understaffed on some evenings, so felt sorry for those on duty who worked tirelessly to keep everyone happy. Meet & greet desk easily overrun at "pinch" times - this could have been solved easily with a staff member's prime duty assigned to booking in, then handing over to table service staff. However, all was covered in a very cheery way and all visitors made to feel welcome, so I'd say well done to the staff clearly achieving most of their targets in trying conditions.

Leah took my order for dinner. She was clear, helpful, polite and at the same time was fun, good communication, efficient, I dined solo and she kept an eye on me to ensure I didn’t feel isolated. I enjoyed my experience with her being my waitress. Thanks Leah 👍

Over priced springs to mind. It really isn't value for money. We have been to this establishment a couple of times now. The first time was about 8 years ago, and it was really good. But it's definitely gone downhill since then. DON'T order a burger, it looks like something you would get at a Wetherspoons but for twice the price. What was in the picture and what we got, was VERY different. I wouldn't have minded had it not cost £15.99. Working in the food industry, I would have been embarrassed to serve such a pathetic looking meal. My son and I both had steaks. They were very tasty, mine was slightly undercooked for my liking, but I didn't complain because it had already taken over an hour to come out. The portion size was generous too. Thankfully we had a discount code so we didn't have to pay full whack. The staff were friendly, particularly the young lady behind the bar. But the food just isn't worth the asking price. Sorry.

Came down to watch football as I was visiting friends josh was a credit to your company very helpful got involved with the banter and friendly made sure all the tables were clear of plates and glasses made my experience fun and enjoyable will definitely come back and will recommend your hotel and restaurants

We have visited this restaurant before and found it ok. This time it started well with a flood in the mens toilets and no loo paper in the ladies. This was on a quiet Monday, early evening! No Salmon! No mustard! No tartare sauce! Staff not particularly helpful , and the wait ( considering it was quiet) was unbelievable. It was if they were waiting for us to order more drinks before they brought the food. Food was average.

When we arrived we were looking forward to a Sunday roast but were told it finished at 3pm. We ordered 3 x fish and chips and one steak and ale pie. When the order arrived the chips were cold and the pie was lukewarm and despite the menu advertising fish with tartare sauce there was none. We complained to the waitress and she said there was no tartare sauce. She said they would replace the chips. The chip arrived in four bowls and they were overcooked. We asked to speak to the manager who was very abrupt and said she would take one meal off the bill. We said that we felt that 50 percent off would be more appropriate but she refused. I have used this restaurant many times but would certainly not return. The manager need’s replacing.

Hotel and reception staff great. Reservation for breakfast asked for a tip before having any service or food? Seated next to a filthy pillar with guests and staff squeezing past basically bottoms brushing against our plates. Unpleasant experience. Receptionist promised a refund we will wait and see. We have stayed here many times but will never make the mistake of eating here again.

We had checked into the adjacent premier inn for 2 nights and as a general rule always have a meal deal at the on site restaurants in this case Beefeater Lucky for us there was a big queue at reception so decided to just pay for an evening meal as it was getting late. The food choice wasn’t good and the food mediocre but there should be no excuse for dirty tables and toilets On route to the loo a disabled toilet with high chairs stacked in front of the door and opposite there was a fire exit blocked by a stack of spare chairs. Needless to say ate breakfast in Sainsburys and had our other Evening meal at the nearby harvester which was excellent

Staff was friendly and helpful, unfortunately food was very poor. I had a steak which was red almost rare and I asked for medium well, the replacement was so well done it had dried out and took ages to chew and needed to be washed down. Shame for me as I used to be a regular but not any more.

This restaurant is great for a chilled out dinner with friends. We met early Sunday evening for a lovely slow, fun end to the week. One of our friends has a food allergy: but she is guaranteed a decent, allergy-free supper here. We were served by an attentive server called Leah - very polite and friendly. 10/10

We went here for my step dad’s 70th birthday dinner. Jody our server was amazing and she made the dinner really special. We had a room off to the side and it was great for kids and the family meal.

Awful place. Came here because we were staying in the adjoining hotel. We were there for about an hour and a half and the tables around us were never cleaned. Service is non existent (except Millie, who is wasted at this establishment, she is excellent and attentive. My stars are for her only) Food was below average. Overcooked chips and what tasted like undercooked chicken and ribs. One person came round to attempt to clean some of the tables in the other side of the section. She took some glasses to the bar and never returned, leaving the cleaning spray and cloth on one of the tables. Horrible place.

Went to Beefeater Marsh Mills today to celebrate my birthday, was served by Lauren and Tiff, who both gave exceptional service. Food was also exceptional, would definitely recommend. Huge thanks to staff for my birthday meal and gift. Look forward to seeing you all again soon

I have had several negative experiences here in recent years and know of several close friends who have also had less than satisfactory experiences at this establishment. I shall only elaborate on the most recent,(24/03/24) We had table booked for 1pm and all food pre-ordered for 16 people. Not everyone had the full 3 courses and the venue was fairly quiet being a Sunday. The mains - 1 meal missing an egg . 1 meal missing beans. Both rectified quickly. We finished our mains and it was a good 30-60 minutes and nobody had come to clear them away or ask for drink orders etc. 1 of the party had to move all plates to a spare table and EVENTUALLY a waitress took them away. We had to wait approx 60-90 minutes for 4 desserts. We were asked if these had been ordered. Everything was pre-ordered! This was after 2 people had been to enquire on 3 separate occasions. To top it off we had 25 % off through NHS app but they somehow managed to mess the bill up and charge us £15-20 extra. The Manager eventually deducted that incorrect fee. However from start to finish it took 3 1/2 hours for a service which always seems to be lacking . If It isn't poor service and lack of acknowledgement, one is often left disappointed as they often do not have food , even if it is pre ordered. It is not somewhere I booked and given the choice would rather go elsewhere. I would advise to avoid this establishment if possible and better spend time and money elsewhere.

We thought we would have dinner at the beefeater. Party of 4 with a child included. Restaurant not particularly busy. Fizzy drinks with no syrup we mentioned to waitress and she said they looked ok to her but would change them. We ordered a child’s meal and 3 mains. Our child’s food was burnt and clearly thrown on a plate. Side of carrot sticks unpeeled and still had the ends on. Our 3 mains were all cold. We tried to get the attention of staff but as we were in a booth where ignored. After we finished our cold meals and our child’s burnt meal (which he just picked the cheese off I visited the toilet. Well good job we were leaving. Sanitary towels used and on top of bin. Toilet paper all over the floor. Unpleasant smears on wall. Toilets get dirty but clearly no cleaning schedule. Absolutely filthy. We won’t be visiting again.

Always had good meals and good service at the Marsh Mills. We went on Mother's Day, waited to be seated while they cleaned the table, no issue, the restaurant was packed. Short wait for our order to be taken, but then the wait started. 40 minutes for the starters to come, then around 50 minutes for our mains to come, we didn'tbother with sweets.. Staff were great but overrun by too many bookings. Kitchen must have been chaos. One table next to us left, no mains after an hour. Dirty tables were left untouched. When our mains turned up, 1 steak was walking MW, another was cremated R. Chips were hard, potoes on another cold in the middle. We told the waitress when paying, she said she'd get the manager. We said no as it was the shift from hell. No chance they a chance to check our meals. Where we were sat no one passed so we got on with it. I did email to put our point of view across. No reply after 2 weeks. So here I am.

Absolutley shocking service, table was booked for 18:30 we were all on time but we were seated at 19:15. The waiter took our order fairly quickly and our starters came out in good time and thats when the service got worse, the food was good apart from one of the deserts apple pie with custard the pie was frozen but the manager insisted it came out an oven not a chance the man was dilutional,our server went home just after the main course was served and it seemed no one else wanted to see to any of his tables after he had gone home we had to ask for our table to be cleared we had to ask for cutlery no meal checks were done and the so called manager looked an awful state his uniform did not fit properly exposing his stomach his finger nails where disgusting, never again will the family come here. we finally left around 21:30 very disapointed
