******* Update 07/01/2025 ******* So had another person email me, promising to send a voucher and how sorry they were, but still no voucher or even a reply to any of my emails. TERRIBLE BUSINESS AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ******* UPDATE: I thought I would be coming on here with a good update, but I am afraid not. They got in contact with me, but that was a bit if a hassle. But eventually they apologised and said they would send a voucher. Well, I have not received a voucher, and no response from any of my emails. So basically they don't care about their customers. ******* I appreciate that they were short staffed, but when you are told you have to be inside to eat, then as you walk in, the waitress is carrying food out. It doesn't set things up well. Then, when you finally get your food, the plate is hotter than the food. It just finishes your night off. It's a great shame as this could be a wonderful pub if it was run better. It's a shame, but we won't be back, and neither will our friends

Would not recommend. Booked a table for 3. Took 15 mins just to get a drink. Two of us ordered Pork Belly and it was very undercooked and oddly presented! Came with a long stalk of seared cabbage, looked cooked on top but when turned over it was pale and fat was slimy/mush, uneatable as in picture. For £18, a good £9 worth was left in fat to be binned. Asked if we would like any sauces, asked for apple which never materialised. Cappuccino had literally no coffee, just a ton of chocolate powder and tasted dreadful. Atmosphere in there was nice with decorations up but literally only the positive!

Called in here yesterday (Friday night) and a had a lovely meal for 2. Food was excellent and the service was good. The new refurbishment looked great. The only thing was slightly odd was all the tables had reserved signs on but we didn’t book. Just arrived and was shown to one of these tables. The last three visits have been major disappointments. Despite the recent refurb, the service has been terrible. Our most recent visit was Saturday (26th oct) evening. We just wanted a simple drink while watching the sunset... but the experience turned into such a hassle that we missed it entirely. We spent over 20 minutes queuing because the bar staff seemed clueless about where anything was, leading to a disorganized and an awkward, slow moving line around the entrance. A pub shouldn’t be run like this? Staff should be knowledgeable, efficient, and well coordinated - especially on a busy weekend night. Inside, 90% of tables sat empty but unusable... with people wandering aimlessly in search of seats. Outside tables were littered with dirty glasses, food, plates, and litter blowing across the seafront in the wind. A pub by the water should offer a relaxing atmosphere, not feel like a neglected, chaotic space. If a messy, poorly managed environment is what you’re after, then this place might be worth a visit... but it’s definitely not what most people expect or want, clearly😕Gutted.

Booked a table at the little harp clevedon for 5 pm. On arrival the pub and restaurant we're really busy, we were shown to our table and ordered five roast dinners and a fish and chips. Very little veg was served and the meats looked dry and unappetizing. Fish and chips didn't fare any better with dried out peas and very few chips. The only plus side to this visit was our server who was under immense pressure due to lack of staff, very unlikely we shall be returning anytime soon.

We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning with not too many customers in the restaurant. It took more than 45 mins for the food to arrive. And the food are terrible and very disappointing. I have just returned from visiting this place for an evening meal. Whatever I write here is not meant to be distructive but what I think is an honest review of my opinion of the experience I had today. When I arrived there was a long queue at the bar. I was hoping for a walk in meal for me and my friend. There was a reception desk with no one at it to help anyone decide what to do so I asked someone in the queue. I eventually got to order which I did by a young lady who was clearly stressed. We went to a table and after about 30 mins there was no food..I went to ask when it might come and was told there was a 45 min wait from the order time..shouldn't I have been told that before I ordered? The food was very poor. My friend had lamb shank shepherd's pie which was cold in places. My mushy peas had a crust on them. To be honest it looked very chaotic throughout. I felt sorry for the staff who looked very stressed. How sad because it's in a superb location. The worst £50 I've ever spent.

I visited this pub two years ago and remember it being chaotic, with long waits for food. The staff had said it was due to staff shortages. I went there again a few days ago. We had booked a table and brought our dog along. It was a lovely, sunny evening, so we wanted to sit outside. However, the staff informed us that they were only serving food indoors due to staff shortages. I asked if we could wait outside and come back in an hour to eat, but they insisted that we had to wait at the table. Fine. I started ordering, but there were also food shortages, so several items on the menu were unavailable. At that point, we gave up and decided to leave. What chaos! I won't be coming back.

SERVICE TERRIBLE Attractive looking sea-front location but we waited for an hour for food that never came. 23 pounds for 2 drinks plus the never-seen food. We were also billed 15 quid for a main course when we had wanted the starter version for 6 pounds. The waiter in the outside area was of little help when we complained; we were directed inside to get a refund but there was such a long queue of customers (some also complaining loudly about the terrible service) that it was impossible to talk to anyone without waiting another hour. No management anywhere to be seen. We gave up and left exasperated by the poor service, and also well out of pocket. Looking at other negative reviews, slow service comes up again and again. It looks to me like staff are all too young and lack a more senior manager to set the tone. Anyway, end of story, we've sent feedback to their website asking for a refund for the food we paid for but didn't receive. My advice is to AVOID The Little Harp if there are more than three customers inside, UNLESS you have infinite patience plus the whole day free of any other appointments.

Weekends are usually busier than other days. After finding a suitable place with a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset, we ordered drinks and food. The waiter was very nice and polite and took our order calmly and politely. First the drinks and more than half an hour later our food was prepared and served. Of course, it was a good time to chat and enjoy a drink and a beautiful view of the sea. The food was not quite good. All meals were accompanied by chips, none of which had salt on them, but my chips had a lot of sea salt on them. Apparently the chef had put all the salt on my chips. Of course, it was sea salt and could be easily removed from the food. We all laughed at this. But it is better for the chef to be more careful in this field.

Food-wise, it did take slightly longer for it to arrive than I expected but everything is cooked to order and worth the short wait. I had fish and chips which came with peas and tartare sauce. The piece of fish was enormous with a light batter and perfectly flaky cod. You could tell it was hand-battered and very fresh. My friend had the most decadent cheese toastie that I have ever seen which she said was rich, luxurious and delicious. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The pub itself is nicely furnished with fantastic views and has a nice atmosphere. The menu was varied, reasonably priced and everything looked delicious! Highly recommended.

Staff on another planet. Chatting amongst themselves totally oblivious that we were even there. Offered to take our order for drinks and then lost interest and just chatting again behind bar. Meals arrived eventually and again no offer of water etc. I’ve been here several times and honestly I could train the staff myself in the time it took to wake them up!! Absolutely dreadful !!! “0-all

I eat here at least once a week because the food quality is good. The frustration I have is how slow the service is. My observation is that it is the kitchen can’t cope with the volume. The waiting staff seem to operate efficiently but it can take 45 minutes for the food to appear. Very disappointing.

Visited mid long journey, we had not booked. Greeted as though we were friends. Given table with fabulous views across to Newport and Cardiff. Menu excellent and we both chose Cod and Chips. It seemed a long wait but it was not really. We were hungry, it was busy, and everything cooked fresh to order. Well worth the wait Beautiful meal piping hot. Batter was crisp, just perfect. Only just had room for our ice cream sundaes. Thank you we will definitely call again, and recommend to our friends who do the same journey.

I stopped there with a friend on a windy evening in early June. We had a little shared meal and a pint. An unforgettable cullinary experience. I thought we were OK to park as we couldn't see the sign at the entrance to the car park, apparently obstructed by another big sign, and another sign inside the car park was clearly saying 'parking for patrons'. We apparently missed the sign at the entrance to the pub itself as well (was there one?), and none of the staff at the bar or reception had informed us at any moment about the need to leave the registration number. Two weeks later, my memories of the pub came back together with a parking charge notice to the amount of £100. Well, I'm sure something can be done about that cause it's such a lovely place and I'd love to visit there again.

We had a great visit on Christmas Day. The food, service, drinks and atmosphere were all brilliant. The pub was very busy (which was good to see) and the staff did an amazing job throughout - thank you!

We booked a table ,it's the first and last time going to this pub,we were sat in the bar area, it was very noisy with zero atmosphere, the staff were very young. The food was not very good and over priced. I had fish and chips, the fish was mostly batter that surrounded a off white piece of fish it wasn't very big or very nice. We ordered desserts but the staff by now had gone elsewhere, we gave up waiting and left. I wouldn't recommend this if you appreciate good food and service.

Thought this place had been closed but was open. Went in for drinks to be told sternly you can only drink in the bar area! I had coffee so ventured to the coffee machine and was told to make it quick then come back to the bar as that area was for diners only. The place was empty. Staff attitude to all the customers we saw in there was awful. Not surprised if it does close or is closing, paying customers should be treated with respect.
