Another great experience at The Little Harp. This time we visited on a busy half term weekday but had pre booked to ensure there was a dog friendly table available. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and the meals are consistently good quality. Thanks Steph and all your team, looking forward to returning in the near future.

Waited an hour for our food to come out, and every other table around us was complaining about how long they’d had to wait too. Feel sorry for the staff that were working as they were rushing around and having to apologise to everyone. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this place either so unfortunately we wouldn’t return. Please hire more staff as it seems the place needs it!

We Attended their on Valentines Day, service was good, the food came out and was undercooked, chips were cold (sent them back and waited about 15 mins extra), beef burger was undercooked (even though my partner is pregnant!!!). I had chicken strips which were luke warm, chicken breast was clearly frozen and tougher, microwavable rice. The only warm thing on my plate was the salad. Very disappointed and will struggle to eat in The Little Harp again. 3 other tables of customers also complained about their food. We paid around £47 for this with minimal discount.

On a recommendation from my friends cousin, we went for lunch with our friends at The Little Harp today. My friend had booked a table, and we got a beautiful window seat. It was very busy - it is Valentines Day, so it maybe quieter on other days. It took a long time for the food to arrive, but we didn't mind as we hadn't seen one another for a long time and had lots to catch up on. When the food arrived it was good, my daughters fish was delicious, apparently. My friend and I both had the rump steak, sadly both were quite hard to cut, but they were cooked nicely and it was very tasty. The staff were absolutely lovely, even though they were very busy, a young man called Chris came round and checked that we were alright on several occasions, and took our photo for us at the end. Another young woman also checked on us several times and we were made to feel very welcomed and cared about. Thankyou for a lovely meal, and a lovely afternoon.

Would normally give a 5 star, but was very disappointed with the food Today. As a regular customer I have always enjoyed the food, but the chicken/bacon burger that I ordered was very dry and overcooked, bacon was rock hard dry. Felt like the chicken burger and bacon had been reheated and sat there for ages. Food also took a long time to come out. I have found this very disappointing as over the past 2 years I have found the food to be very good. Told the waiter about it and he admitted that it was overcooked but didn't seem overly bothered. This has left me not wanting to return anytime soon.

We had a really enjoyable dining experience at The little Harp, Pub/restaurant. We had popped in a few nights before for a pint of Guinness and the food aromas were pretty alluring. So we thought we come back to enjoy a Sunday Roast. The food was really tasty. My partner had the beef roast and I had the mushroom Wellington. Both of us had a couple of large pigs in blankets on the side. Absolutely no fault with the food. It was delicious Sunday comfort and very filling too. The service was quick and came with a big smile and positivity. Which I love. In particular, Chris, who waited our table for us, gave us an excellent experience and brought all of that positivity to the table. The building itself, decor and location is what brought us here. The lovely staff is a massive bonus. We were lucky enough to be seated near one of the huge windows overlooking the sea. I can imagine this would be a great afternoon for the summer too! We would definitely like to pop in again.

Reserved a meal with family here after our last experience on a Sunday being told there was hardly any food available that we wanted we decided to try again; After arriving, no one acknowledged our table and we waited for roughly 30 minutes before anyone came over to take our order after having to mention it to an owner or manager. Unfortunately, just like the last visit here they did not have main meals we came for stating “sorry or fish fryer is broken no fish on the menu” and also “sorry there’s no carrot chips etc” This is disappointing hearing this a second time along with the service / ordering times. Good food when they do have it available but sadly this place needs better service if they expect people to pay £22+ for food.. the service needs to meet expectations too! Will not be coming here again after our second bad experience we recommend going else where!

******* Update 07/01/2025 ******* So had another person email me, promising to send a voucher and how sorry they were, but still no voucher or even a reply to any of my emails. TERRIBLE BUSINESS AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ******* UPDATE: I thought I would be coming on here with a good update, but I am afraid not. They got in contact with me, but that was a bit if a hassle. But eventually they apologised and said they would send a voucher. Well, I have not received a voucher, and no response from any of my emails. So basically they don't care about their customers. ******* I appreciate that they were short staffed, but when you are told you have to be inside to eat, then as you walk in, the waitress is carrying food out. It doesn't set things up well. Then, when you finally get your food, the plate is hotter than the food. It just finishes your night off. It's a great shame as this could be a wonderful pub if it was run better. It's a shame, but we won't be back, and neither will our friends

We had booked a table and hoped to receive relatively rapid service. Having waited for the drinks to arrive we were still without our meals an hour later. We asked our server where the meals were, having noted that a neighbouring table had just had to do the same, and the 2 plates of hot food were immediately produced, having clearly been ready and waiting under the heater for some time; the third plate when it arrived some minutes later was missing some of the advertised ingredients. The mature server was hardly apologetic and did not appear to understand how to manage customers at all. This is not the first time I have been disappointed by this establishment _ it may well be the last.

Having visited many Chef and Brewer / Green King pubs during the year we were looking forward to Christmas Dinner at one of our local pubs. On arriving there was nobody on front of house and we had to wait over 10 minutes to be welcomed. We then had to wait 45 minutes once seated to receive our welcome drinks of Prosecco or Orange juice due to a lack of glasses. There was also a long wait for our three courses and the main course was warm and not hot. When our side dishes of cauliflower cheese arrived, the dishes were boiling but the contents just warm. The whole experience was rather disappointing when you consider how much it cost. It has made us seriously consider whether to book for Christmas lunch in future years as it spoilt the day in relation to what everyone was expecting. We also only ordered one drink each due to the delays. I believe the restaurant had stretched itself beyond its capabilities which was a shame.

Came with a long stalk of seared cabbage, looked cooked on top but when turned over it was pale and fat was slimy/mush, uneatable as in picture. For £18, a good £9 worth was left in fat to be binned. Asked if we would like any sauces, asked for apple which never materialised. Cappuccino had literally no coffee, just a ton of chocolate powder and tasted dreadful. Atmosphere in there was nice with decorations up but literally only the positive!

The last three visits have been major disappointments. Despite the recent refurb, the service has been terrible. Our most recent visit was Saturday (26th oct) evening. We just wanted a simple drink while watching the sunset... but the experience turned into such a hassle that we missed it entirely. We spent over 20 minutes queuing because the bar staff seemed clueless about where anything was, leading to a disorganized and an awkward, slow moving line around the entrance. A pub shouldn’t be run like this? Staff should be knowledgeable, efficient, and well coordinated - especially on a busy weekend night. Inside, 90% of tables sat empty but unusable... with people wandering aimlessly in search of seats. Outside tables were littered with dirty glasses, food, plates, and litter blowing across the seafront in the wind. A pub by the water should offer a relaxing atmosphere, not feel like a neglected, chaotic space. If a messy, poorly managed environment is what you’re after, then this place might be worth a visit... but it’s definitely not what most people expect or want, clearly😕Gutted.

We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning with not too many customers in the restaurant. It took more than 45 mins for the food to arrive. And the food are terrible and very disappointing. In the farmer breakfast, potatoes are cold, the only edible thing on that plate is the bake bean. The poached egg for the Benedict was over cooked. Very very disappointing. This place has a stunning view and set up. I hope the management can put more effort on improving the food quality and provide better staff training.

I love this place normally but there seemed to be a lack of helpful staff. No eye contact was made so that we could alert them to our needs therefore we spent 3 hrs on a 1 hour booking. I will however be returning one day because the food is very nice.

Horrible. Parking is nonexistent. If you play on a Saturday get the TRAIN walk down the hill and get a bus. Get off at Tesco. It’s a 3 mile walk. From station to ground. There is a football bus But it is quicker to walk back to station.

Thought this place had been closed but was open. Went in for drinks to be told sternly you can only drink in the bar area! I had coffee so ventured to the coffee machine and was told to make it quick then come back to the bar as that area was for diners only. The place was empty. Staff attitude to all the customers we saw in there was awful. Not surprised if it does close or is closing, paying customers should be treated with respect.

My wife and I had a very mixed experience on Saturday the 8th of February. The waitress serving us was very attentive and friendly, until she wasn't. We had delicious starters and equally delicious mains. The service was great, until we finished our mains. When the waitress cleared our plates, we eventually decided to have a look at the dessert menu, to which we were told they'd be brought right over. They weren't. We waited about 15 minutes and the desert menu didn't arrive, so we went up to the bar and found a couple. Then, after another 15 minutes of waiting, no one came to take our dessert order, so we then flagged down a separate waitress and asked for the bill. It's not like we were sat in a corner out of the way, we were sat right next to the kitchen, our original waitress walked past multiple times and didn't check in with us. It's as if the staff just stopped doing their job after a certain point. We've eaten at The Langford Inn a number of times before, and it's always been brilliant, but for some reason this experience was underwhelming, and left us feeling quite disappointed. We won't be rushing back any time soon…
