Booked a table at the little harp clevedon for 5 pm. On arrival the pub and restaurant we're really busy, we were shown to our table and ordered five roast dinners and a fish and chips. Very little veg was served and the meats looked dry and unappetizing. Fish and chips didn't fare any better with dried out peas and very few chips. The only plus side to this visit was our server who was under immense pressure due to lack of staff, very unlikely we shall be returning anytime soon.

This pub used to be a favourite of ours but after being neglected for years we did not want to return... but I am SO GLAD WE DID! We had such a warm welcome from Steph (The new manager) and were made to feel at home. We came for lunch and ended spending all afternoon in the conservatory looking out at the water. Great food and amazing service. This is how I remember the harp years ago ! I am very excited to see this beautiful pub get back on the map with the changes she is making, We will all be back !!

I took my son for Sunday lunch and it was awful. We ordered the vegetarian option which was meant to be Mushroom Wellington. It was a pie, served with a tiny amount of mixed soggy veg and a few unroasted potatoes. My son's pie was FROZEN in the middle. By the time they cooked his pie, i had eaten my dinner and so we couldn't eat together. The staff didn't care. I paid and left. I would not recommend the Sunday lunch ever!

I have just returned from visiting this place for an evening meal. Whatever I write here is not meant to be distructive but what I think is an honest review of my opinion of the experience I had today. When I arrived there was a long queue at the bar. I was hoping for a walk in meal for me and my friend. There was a reception desk with no one at it to help anyone decide what to do so I asked someone in the queue. I eventually got to order which I did by a young lady who was clearly stressed. We went to a table and after about 30 mins there was no food..I went to ask when it might come and was told there was a 45 min wait from the order time..shouldn't I have been told that before I ordered? The food was very poor. My friend had lamb shank shepherd's pie which was cold in places. My mushy peas had a crust on them. To be honest it looked very chaotic throughout. I felt sorry for the staff who looked very stressed. How sad because it's in a superb location. The worst £50 I've ever spent.

I appreciate that they were short staffed, but when you are told you have to be inside to eat, then as you walk in, the waitress is carrying food out. It doesn't set things up well. Then, when you finally get your food, the plate is hotter than the food. It just finishes your night off. It's a great shame as this could be a wonderful pub if it was run better. I visited this pub two years ago and remember it being chaotic, with long waits for food. The staff had said it was due to staff shortages. I went there again a few days ago. We had booked a table and brought our dog along. It was a lovely, sunny evening, so we wanted to sit outside. However, the staff informed us that they were only serving food indoors due to staff shortages. I asked if we could wait outside and come back in an hour to eat, but they insisted that we had to wait at the table. Fine. I started ordering, but there were also food shortages, so several items on the menu were unavailable. At that point, we gave up and decided to leave. What chaos! I won't be coming back.

SERVICE TERRIBLE Attractive looking sea-front location but we waited for an hour for food that never came. 23 pounds for 2 drinks plus the never-seen food. We were also billed 15 quid for a main course when we had wanted the starter version for 6 pounds. The waiter in the outside area was of little help when we complained; we were directed inside to get a refund but there was such a long queue of customers (some also complaining loudly about the terrible service) that it was impossible to talk to anyone without waiting another hour. No management anywhere to be seen. We gave up and left exasperated by the poor service, and also well out of pocket. Looking at other negative reviews, slow service comes up again and again. It looks to me like staff are all too young and lack a more senior manager to set the tone. Anyway, end of story, we've sent feedback to their website asking for a refund for the food we paid for but didn't receive. My advice is to AVOID The Little Harp if there are more than three customers inside, UNLESS you have infinite patience plus the whole day free of any other appointments.

Service really isn't great, when we arrived I waited around 10 minutes for a bar person, although there were 4 people doing nothing around the bar, then the wine I ordered was out of stock, then finally a heavy bill for a coke, wine and a beer was £22 which is pretty pricey for this area. Outside on the tables, the ashtrays were full and empty packets of crisps were wedged into the tables, really expect a little more for such a high price for drinks. Needless to say we didn't stay for a meal, and left.

After walking and watching the beautiful Clevedon sunset, we went there for food and drinks with friends. We had been there several times before and were satisfied. Weekends are usually busier than other days. After finding a suitable place with a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset, we ordered drinks and food. The waiter was very nice and polite and took our order calmly and politely. First the drinks and more than half an hour later our food was prepared and served. Of course, it was a good time to chat and enjoy a drink and a beautiful view of the sea. The food was not quite good. All meals were accompanied by chips, none of which had salt on them, but my chips had a lot of sea salt on them. Apparently the chef had put all the salt on my chips. Of course, it was sea salt and could be easily removed from the food. We all laughed at this. But it is better for the chef to be more careful in this field.

Avoid. Don't step inside and waste your money and time. Waited 1 hour for a starter (which was soggy garlic bread, that tasted like a sponge dipped in Fairy washing up liquid) after then waiting even longer finally received the main courses which had over cooked roast potatoes and practically raw meat. 70 quid down the drain, and two hours of my life never to get back. Please don't reply with your standard "sorry you are disappointed, it was a busy day and we will aim to improve" as we've given your establishment time to improve for the last 6 six years on quiet days and busy ones. I had lunch with a friend today. It was quite busy but we were seated quickly by a very helpful member of staff. We had table service throughout. Which was prompt, polite and not intrusive. Food-wise, it did take slightly longer for it to arrive than I expected but everything is cooked to order and worth the short wait. I had fish and chips which came with peas and tartare sauce. The piece of fish was enormous with a light batter and perfectly flaky cod. You could tell it was hand-battered and very fresh. My friend had the most decadent cheese toastie that I have ever seen which she said was rich, luxurious and delicious. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. I stopped there with a friend on a windy evening in early June. We had a little shared meal and a pint. An unforgettable cullinary experience. I thought we were OK to park as we couldn't see the sign at the entrance to the car park, apparently obstructed by another big sign, and another sign inside the car park was clearly saying 'parking for patrons'. We apparently missed the sign at the entrance to the pub itself as well (was there one?), and none of the staff at the bar or reception had informed us at any moment about the need to leave the registration number. Two weeks later, my memories of the pub came back together with a parking charge notice to the amount of £100. Well, I'm sure something can be done about that cause it's such a lovely place and I'd love to visit there again.

Was looking forward to a mixed grill but with no gammon available settled for a steak. I think it was ready and had to wait for fresh chips because they were hot. Sitting in bar area I had someone's dog begging at my table while the owners were waiting to be seated. Fair play, they apologised. After a few minutes he walked past us without acknowledging us, we waited for his return, in the meantime another member of staff walked past and again, no acknowledgement, there were three bar staff, to whom we were clearly visible and a waitress looked straight at us and promptly looked away and scuttled off. After approximately 10 minutes the original member of staff then returned and walked straight past us again, completely ignoring us, at which point we decided to leave and took our custom and rumbling tummies elsewhere!

The staff were so friendly and even brought over to our table a bowl of fresh water our fur bundle. 2 of us ordered bar snacks and I opted for the pan fried chicken which I think must have been made in heaven based on the incredible taste and speed! If there was anything that could have been improved on it would just be a little more communication from our young male waiter to let us know our chips and cutlery were on their way - but in absolute fairness the place had filled up very fast and the team had a lot to serve which they did wonderfully fast & with patient personal service. Terrible service last night. Went in at 6.25pm and asked for a table for food. The lady seating people was so miserable and unfriendly it was unreal. She said we are fully booked even though the restaurant was 60 precent empty. We walked outside and booked a table for 20 minutes later online! Why didn’t she offer us this option. Went for a walk and then came back. Me and 2 other couples were ignored waiting to be seated by the lady. One of the couples in the end found a waiter and asked to be seated, he then seated us after. 15 minutes later and the lady who earlier told us they were fully booked was unfortunately the person also taking orders and again we were ignored. I went and found a waiter and said that our order had not been taken. He said he would get the lady to come over. We were ignored again and in the end we walked out. It clearly came across that she hated her job and didn’t want to be there and didn’t care at all. Very Sad as we have been here several times and it has nice food and the lady that normally seats people and takes orders who is on holiday abroad is wonderful.

Beautiful place, great location, stopped for a coffee on Friday, a door was open, my other half went through and went to the bar, I waited outside with our poochy, about 5 mins later this RUDE woman staff member comes over, RUDELY tells me that 1- this is a fire exit and 2- should be kept closed. Firstly- I was not the one to open up the fire exit Secondly- I did not know it was a fire exit, Thirdly- Shouldnt speak to customers like that whether your busy or not.

Horrendous food and even worse service. To say it was a disaster and disappointment would be an understatement. I own a local business and I will never ever recommend this joke of an establishment

It is started well with mains arriving quickly and everyone was happy with their choices. It went down hill when the server took dessert orders before my daughter had finished her main and then didn't clear away the plates for half hour. We ordered two children's ice creams for pudding and they took over 45 minutes to arrive. We had to ask where they were 3 times and each time were told they were just coming out but they still took another 10 minutes. If it hadn't been a treat for the children we would have left without the ice cream. The area where we were sat was mostly empty so it wasn't even as if they were busy and run off their feet.

We were a party of 10, visiting the Inn at lunchtime (9th April) to celebrate our Dad's birthday. Our very average food took over an hour to arrive and it was us who had to chase its whereabouts! Despite being given the gluten free menu and assured our daughter's meal was gluten free (she is coeliac), the wrong meal was given and my daughter was seriously ill. I have contacted the Inn via phone and through their website 3 times and asked for a manager to call me back to discuss this, but I have had no contact whatsoever. I think it imperative that staff are made aware of this incident so that other visitors with allergies are protected in the future. **UPDATE - I was contacted a day after this review. Apologies and reassurance that kitchen staff would be spoken to/trained were given. We were also given a full refund.

Sunny day so we took advantage and sat outside and ordered drinks to the app at 2.50pm. Pint and vodka & orange. At 3.10 I went inside to see how long they would be drinks a rude tall woman with dark hair shouted at me ‘our screen is saying 25 mins can u see we busy’ no sorry just rude! So we decided to go and get served at the bar as there was no wait. We actually drank these then at 3.35 went to see where our drinks where that I ordered at 2.50! We eventually got them at 3.45. Then we ordered food which came within 15 mins. 👌Chicken bites were lovely! Garlic bread had no taste of garlic and the cheese chips lol see photo - what cheese. The female staff behind the bar need to learn how to use manners and SMILE. What a mirsable bunch. At least the male staff were friendly and welcoming. Won’t be going to this place again.

Consistently the best carvery I've eaten which is why I keep on returning with friends and family. Freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Although it is very busy on Sunday, the staff are always polite, friendly and efficient. Movenpick Ice-Cream is a real favourite (not easily found in the UK, so even more extra special).

The dining staff completely ignored my presence, so much so that I had to get up and ask at the bar for the pudding to be served. Their either need to train their staff to look the part and act the part or give up. Breakfast the following morning was similar, I had three staff not 4 feet from my table discussing their shift patterns at the top of their voices. I should have got up and asked them politely to move their discussions away from the paying guests but I did not.

We visited at the end of September, the food was pleasant enough although service slow. Decided to visit again a week later and waited 50 minutes for a 3 ingredient side salad and a simple pasta dish. Both occasions resulted in receipt of £100 fines for parking on the premises yet at no time did staff or signage alert us to the need to register our vehicle. This is so careless on the staff's behalf, and has resulted in locals deciding not to use the venue - nobody would willingly add £100 to their light-lunch bill nor go through the hassle of appealing fines simply because staff can't be bothered to advise visitors. Alas, I have 2 fines (£200) on appeal and I am presently awaiting the outcome. No plans to visit again - why would I?
