It a carvery, good choice of meats plenty of veg choices and a fair price

Visited on Sunday 9th March. All three of us had the carvery. We all enjoyed our meal and commented that the meat was tender and tasty. Special shout out to our server, Heather, who looked after us. She was great.

Good food decent drinks would recommend it always found the toby great value for money most places not as good my go to get on down try it

Please pay your workers more so they don't take their frustrations out on unassuming families. Overheard multiple staff saying they didn't want to be there and making remarks about their minimum wage

Chris and Jake were absolutely fantastic today. Served with a big smile despite a stressful day. Made the experience a lot more enjoyable!

Just what we needed on a Sunday afternoon after a busy day with the kids. Booked within an hour, turned up shown straight to our table. Put our order through and off to the carvery to be greeted by Jake. Very friendly, chatty chef. Great with the kids and served all with a smile. Food was hot, fresh and tasty

Coming here for dinner is okay, but do not come here for breakfast! Choice is extremely limited , the eggs tray is nearly always empty and you have to wait, the food is horrible. Everything gets reheated several times! The hashbrowns are so hard you could basically knock someone out with one. Sausages are sticky and gummy, bacon is hard. It's the worst breakfast out I ever had !

As soon as we arrived to the Toby carvery cooper dean, carol, greeted us and was cery welcoming. At the carvery deck we were greeted with a very happy and joyful carvery, Chris. The food was amazing and will definitely be back! Gilly, our waitress was very accommodating and a joy to be around

Didn't know I had to book & had to wait for a table. Had a staff member's family being rude to us & staring at myself with my girlfriend. Then, we were shown a table next to them; so we refused to sit there.

Food was good but the man carving and serving the meat was extremely loud. Kept singing and whistling really loudly making it very hard to have a conversation, he was also shouting across the room to his colleagues about wages… very unprofessional. Waitress was very nice and service was quick

Plenty of empty tables, but encouraged to leave, as table was booked for others. Had not finished our drinks when asked to leave. Good job we did not have dessert or we would have still be eating.

Restaurant was clean. Staff were friendly. Food wasn't very hot. No cheese on Cauliflower and tiny ammount on macaroni. This wasnt good enough as a vegetarian option. Was not told when ordered.I usally really enjoy a toby carvery.

Took my dad out for a Sunday roast, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious – tender meat, perfect roast potatoes, and all the trimmings you could ask for. We both enjoyed every bite and had such a lovely time together. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed Sunday outing. Highly recommend for a hearty meal and quality time with loved ones! Five stars all the way!

Booked a table of 3. Came in, was welcomed by a lovely man, who made us feel welcome straight away. He took us to our table, where Wendy came over and looked after us. She was polite, happy and professional. She looked after us really well. The chef was lovely too. The food was delicious. Thank you for you hard work. We will be back very soon.

Lovely carvery. Friendly staff - especially Jake who was wielding a knife when he asked for a review. (Don’t worry - it came up in conversation as he was carving the meat cos that’s his job) (of which he is good at 👀) There was a great variety of meat and vegterribles. I would definitely return. Also, loving the new interior. Very smart.

We had a meal here on 09.02 as a large table of both adults and children. The restaurant felt clean and well organised despite being really busy. The food was great and the carver Jake was really friendly and welcoming despite how busy it was.

We were here for a family members gender reveal. The staff were lovely, helpful and polite. Gilly was our main server, ensuring any seperate order food came out quickly and all empty places were cleared away.

Visited 12.30 pm on a Saturday very few tables taken which was surprising. The staff were really great, the meat selection was good and tasty, unfortunately the vegetables apart from the parsnips were bland and overcooked, the plates and gravy lukewarm. This was a return visit and nothing has really changed, so much potential, a real shame.

Went with my family today and the service was the best I've received and the waitresses were really thorough and helpful i would recommend this place to everyone I know

I can't fault the staff in any way. All lovely, friendly and helpful. Heather was the lady who served us and she was fantastic! The food was nice, but the selection of vegetables has gone down hill. Not a lot of variety at all. Being a vegetarian, the vegetables are the main event in my books.

I regularly go here when I have hospital appointments and have had breakfast and lunch and I can honestly say that the breakfasts are amazing especially the breakfast gravy and when I have had lunches they are just as good and the carvers are always friendly and go out of there way to give you a great experience

Went for a lovely Roast at Toby Carvery a few times now. Always great friendly service from both the waitering staff and Chef team. Food is always spectacular.

Today I visited Toby Carvery at Cooper Dean with my family, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The service was appalling, as the person who attended to us was extremely rude his name was JAKE and made us feel unwelcome. It honestly felt as though we were being treated like we were asking for charity rather than simply enjoying a meal. The food might have been fine, but the attitude of the staff completely overshadowed the entire visit. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to consider the atmosphere and service before choosing this location. The ASSISTANCE MANAGER was even worst If you don’t want to serve food to people from other parts of the world simply say it. I’m not used to post reviews but this time was too much

Food was served from the carvery. We both found the food vegetables were very cool on the servers buffet. The range and quality was fine but it should have been hot not Luke warm.the waitress was informed and I believe she spoke to the kitchen staff. We will be going to Hinton Toby on the 15th of May and hope the food is hot!

Although very busy the waiter was cool calm and collected and worked well under pressure. He had time & treated each customer with equal care & attention & was extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Very impressed. Tav is his name.

Nice meat selection, tasty and tender. Considering it was lunchtime, roasties a bit rubbery. Horseradish sauce like water with lumps and mustard was inedible!! Ice cream excellent, sponge pud good too. Service a bit slow, drinks order forgotten, had to ask for them. We usually go to Toby at Northbourne but couldn't get a table. Unlikely we would go back to Cooper Dean.

The chef/meat carver guy called Grant was so lovely and amiable, talking with us and really cheering us up. Also, the food was so lovely. And the server Wendy was so helpful and kind, joking with us. An overall spectacular and enjoyable time. :)

We have ordered takeaway breakfasts from here a few times the english breakfast and breakfast rolls are great and good quality. But the last time we ordered with hash browns (6 of them!) and they were completely burnt, hard as a rock and stone cold, has completely put me off ordering from them again. You wouldn't serve it like that in a restaurant or even to a animal, I had to chuck them in the bin as didnt want to risk cracking a tooth! Not sure why a staff member would consciously make a decision to serve them to a customer, People who order takeaway food should be shown the same respect and standards as someone in the restaurant, we often end up paying more with the fees etc

5 stars! The service was great everyone was helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Jake was a real joy to talk to.

I had a great experience today when visiting Toby Carvery, firstly the chef serving our food was extremely accommodating and easy to strike up conversation with while swiftly serving our food. The waitress for our table was very sweet and never too far for any requests, she was very clearly dedicated to her job and these two really solidified the pleasant experience me and my friend had.

Had a wonderful experience today. We had a 3:30 reservation and arrived slightly ahead of time. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. We were seated right away, and our hostess quickly took our drink orders. The chef was fantastic and very accommodating. like making bowls readily available for the Mac and cheese to avoid gravy ending up on it to the delight of my friend. Our hostess was sweet and professional, never too far from our table in case we needed anything. She didn't hover but was always ready to help while efficiently attending to her other tasks.

First class service as always and great food

Visited for work team Christmas meeting, food looks ok but if you are vegan not the best choice plus you need to wait for your food separately. I ordered some mushroom pie it wasn't hot or satisfying, and the vegetables were very dry and plasticky. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Outdated interiors would not necessarily come back unless another function.

We visited Toby for a carvery. We were so impressed that I had to leave a review . Our waitress Gilly was superb. She was so bubbly, helpful, polite and very efficient with great advice, over and above her job. The chef at the carvery Mitch, was also very helpful and smiley . The meat was moist and tasty and the veg was hot and tasty, although the sprouts were a little underdone. My mother in law, a very good cook herself, said the apple pie was the best she had eaten. We will definitely be going back and gave no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Delicious Food and Outstanding Service! I had the pleasure of being served by Jake at the carvery, and his cheerful, polite, and friendly demeanor truly stood out. It’s so refreshing to see such a welcoming face behind the counter. Staying in Bournemouth for a week over Christmas my friend and I booked our Christmas dinner here. It was delicious, food was cooked perfectly and thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. The staff are all lovely and our waitress was great. A special mention to the Elf on the desk when we arrived. Thank you.

We had a delicious meal here on Saturday. My son said it was the best meal he'd ever had at a Toby. The vegetables - especially the potatoes - were perfect. The attention to the needs of people in the group with allergies was second to none. Thank you very much!

Amazing staff and perfect atmosphere for any occasion. Perfect for convenience and can accommodate anyone. Managers always looked prepared and welcoming, very well managed. Would recommend this Toby carvery out of many!

Went in yesterday for a meal with my daughter was met at the door by a friendly chap called Chris who showed us to our table. We were served by Tia who is very friendly and efficient. Food was lovely will definitely be back. 5 stars from us

Went in, got lamb, beef and gammon. All the meat was lovely, only meat that wasn't great was the sausages on the king size but that's just personal taste. The carver, Gerrard, was lovely but so wad my waitress, Gille. Everyone was super kind, would recommend

I'm afraid the food was not very hot. The pork was very nice and tender but the beef wasn't. Luckily the gravy was hot. So can't recommend.

As ever, we were given a warm welcome and superb service throughout. Vicky really looked after us well, (with plenty of smiles and friendly chat which my elderly mother appreciated), and the chef, (I forget his name, but he has a beard if that helps!), offerred to take my mother's carvery lunch to her, while I sorted mine out. That was so kind, and a big help - thanks chef. Our carvery luches were so delicious, and good to have roast pasnips back again! Doombar beer, easy parking, wheelchair friendly, good toilets, good value and lovely food... Thanks again Vicky, and Merry Christmas! We'll be back again soon.

I just turned up without a booking and they were able to fit me in. I have a food allergy which they take seriously to protect themselves. Getting me to read a load of stuff on a tablet. Which is quite detailed. Food was pretty good and I enjoyed the visit. Car parking was free and you have to record this on a tablet when signing in.
