Need to go more, midweek roast dinner. Fresh food and great finish to the day thanks

Booked a table of 3. Came in, was welcomed by a lovely man, who made us feel welcome straight away. He took us to our table, where Wendy came over and looked after us. She was polite, happy and professional. She looked after us really well. The chef was lovely too. The food was delicious. Thank you for you hard work. We will be back very soon.

Lovely carvery. Friendly staff - especially Jake who was wielding a knife when he asked for a review. (Don’t worry - it came up in conversation as he was carving the meat cos that’s his job) (of which he is good at 👀) There was a great variety of meat and vegterribles. I would definitely return. Also, loving the new interior. Very smart.

We had a meal here on 09.02 as a large table of both adults and children. The restaurant felt clean and well organised despite being really busy. The food was great and the carver Jake was really friendly and welcoming despite how busy it was.

We were here for a family members gender reveal. The staff were lovely, helpful and polite. Gilly was our main server, ensuring any seperate order food came out quickly and all empty places were cleared away.

We had a private reservation here and it was absolutely lovely, the staff were kind and understanding and we will never go anywhere else for a Family Function. ❤️ (We were mainly served by Gilly.)

I regularly go here when I have hospital appointments and have had breakfast and lunch and I can honestly say that the breakfasts are amazing especially the breakfast gravy and when I have had lunches they are just as good and the carvers are always friendly and go out of there way to give you a great experience

I can't fault the staff in any way. All lovely, friendly and helpful. Heather was the lady who served us and she was fantastic! The food was nice, but the selection of vegetables has gone down hill. Not a lot of variety at all. Being a vegetarian, the vegetables are the main event in my books.

Today I visited Toby Carvery at Cooper Dean with my family, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The service was appalling, as the person who attended to us was extremely rude his name was JAKE and made us feel unwelcome. It honestly felt as though we were being treated like we were asking for charity rather than simply enjoying a meal. The food might have been fine, but the attitude of the staff completely overshadowed the entire visit. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to consider the atmosphere and service before choosing this location. The ASSISTANCE MANAGER was even worst If you don’t want to serve food to people from other parts of the world simply say it. I’m not used to post reviews but this time was too much

Food was served from the carvery. We both found the food vegetables were very cool on the servers buffet. The range and quality was fine but it should have been hot not Luke warm.the waitress was informed and I believe she spoke to the kitchen staff. We will be going to Hinton Toby on the 15th of May and hope the food is hot!

Nice meat selection, tasty and tender. Considering it was lunchtime, roasties a bit rubbery. Horseradish sauce like water with lumps and mustard was inedible!! Ice cream excellent, sponge pud good too. Service a bit slow, drinks order forgotten, had to ask for them. We usually go to Toby at Northbourne but couldn't get a table. Unlikely we would go back to Cooper Dean.

Although very busy the waiter was cool calm and collected and worked well under pressure. He had time & treated each customer with equal care & attention & was extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Very impressed. Tav is his name.

The chef/meat carver guy called Grant was so lovely and amiable, talking with us and really cheering us up. Also, the food was so lovely. And the server Wendy was so helpful and kind, joking with us. An overall spectacular and enjoyable time. :)

We have ordered takeaway breakfasts from here a few times the english breakfast and breakfast rolls are great and good quality. But the last time we ordered with hash browns (6 of them!) and they were completely burnt, hard as a rock and stone cold, has completely put me off ordering from them again. You wouldn't serve it like that in a restaurant or even to a animal, I had to chuck them in the bin as didnt want to risk cracking a tooth! Not sure why a staff member would consciously make a decision to serve them to a customer, People who order takeaway food should be shown the same respect and standards as someone in the restaurant, we often end up paying more with the fees etc

Had a wonderful experience today. We had a 3:30 reservation and arrived slightly ahead of time. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. We were seated right away, and our hostess quickly took our drink orders. The chef was fantastic and very accommodating. like making bowls readily available for the Mac and cheese to avoid gravy ending up on it to the delight of my friend. Our hostess was sweet and professional, never too far from our table in case we needed anything. She didn't hover but was always ready to help while efficiently attending to her other tasks.

I had a great experience today when visiting Toby Carvery, firstly the chef serving our food was extremely accommodating and easy to strike up conversation with while swiftly serving our food. The waitress for our table was very sweet and never too far for any requests, she was very clearly dedicated to her job and these two really solidified the pleasant experience me and my friend had.

Visited for work team Christmas meeting, food looks ok but if you are vegan not the best choice plus you need to wait for your food separately. I ordered some mushroom pie it wasn't hot or satisfying, and the vegetables were very dry and plasticky. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Outdated interiors would not necessarily come back unless another function.

Delicious Food and Outstanding Service! I had the pleasure of being served by Jake at the carvery, and his cheerful, polite, and friendly demeanor truly stood out. It’s so refreshing to see such a welcoming face behind the counter. The portions of meat were perfect, and the selection from the carvery was excellent, everything was hot, fresh, and consistently replenished.

We visited Toby for a carvery. We were so impressed that I had to leave a review . Our waitress Gilly was superb. She was so bubbly, helpful, polite and very efficient with great advice, over and above her job. The chef at the carvery Mitch, was also very helpful and smiley . The meat was moist and tasty and the veg was hot and tasty, although the sprouts were a little underdone. My mother in law, a very good cook herself, said the apple pie was the best she had eaten. We will definitely be going back and gave no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Staying in Bournemouth for a week over Christmas my friend and I booked our Christmas dinner here. It was delicious, food was cooked perfectly and thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. The staff are all lovely and our waitress was great. A special mention to the Elf on the desk when we arrived. Thank you.

We had a delicious meal here on Saturday. My son said it was the best meal he'd ever had at a Toby. The vegetables - especially the potatoes - were perfect. The attention to the needs of people in the group with allergies was second to none. Thank you very much!

Amazing staff and perfect atmosphere for any occasion. Perfect for convenience and can accommodate anyone. Managers always looked prepared and welcoming, very well managed. Would recommend this Toby carvery out of many!

Went in yesterday for a meal with my daughter was met at the door by a friendly chap called Chris who showed us to our table. We were served by Tia who is very friendly and efficient. Food was lovely will definitely be back. 5 stars from us

Went in, got lamb, beef and gammon. All the meat was lovely, only meat that wasn't great was the sausages on the king size but that's just personal taste. The carver, Gerrard, was lovely but so wad my waitress, Gille. Everyone was super kind, would recommend

I'm afraid the food was not very hot. The pork was very nice and tender but the beef wasn't. Luckily the gravy was hot. So can't recommend.

As ever, we were given a warm welcome and superb service throughout. Vicky really looked after us well, (with plenty of smiles and friendly chat which my elderly mother appreciated), and the chef, (I forget his name, but he has a beard if that helps!), offerred to take my mother's carvery lunch to her, while I sorted mine out. That was so kind, and a big help - thanks chef. Our carvery luches were so delicious, and good to have roast pasnips back again! Doombar beer, easy parking, wheelchair friendly, good toilets, good value and lovely food... Thanks again Vicky, and Merry Christmas! We'll be back again soon.

I just turned up without a booking and they were able to fit me in. I have a food allergy which they take seriously to protect themselves. Getting me to read a load of stuff on a tablet. Which is quite detailed. Food was pretty good and I enjoyed the visit. Car parking was free and you have to record this on a tablet when signing in.

Visiting Bournemouth from Bristol. Always drove past here but never actually tried it. Today, we managed to get a table. Man on front desk very helpful and friendly. Went up for our carvery and Jake the carver took the time to ask us how was our day, a service you don't get anymore. Jake, you made us feel really welcome. Thank you 😊 We will definitely return on our next visit to Bournemouth.

Management/'Owner' DREADFUL! If it wasn't for the two fabulous Chef/Carver my review would have been dreadful. I urge you to read on before coming with anyone with a disability... Upon arrival the carvery was VERY quiet. We asked for a booth as we had two disabled & neurodivergent children with us who were both having an episode at the time. We were informed there were no booths available as they don't have any and the one that was there and empty (in front of us) was kept for an overflow of awaiting customers! (The place was dead and no customers were waiting at 3.45pm!) I asked could we please sit there explaining our situation and the help it would be with children with sensory needs but was categorically told NO regardless of disabilities! I then explained my son's complex eating issues but I was told there were no Yorkshire pudding wraps available, melt down pending I explained he would only eat a slice of meat and a y.puddin' I asked if I could make my own 'wrap' and asked how many Yorkshire pudding I could have on a child's meal and how much meat was included to fill it. Anyone with a child with sensory eating needs knows how hard eating out can be so anxiety was running high and I was praying dinner could be as easy and successful as possible. Anyway, I was told by our server that I could squash 1 Yorkie and add a small amount of meat. It was also mentioned I'd bought him to the wrong place if he didn't like potatoes or vegetables! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, upon talking to the chefs (Jake and Chris M) they couldn't do enough to help and came back with "we can do little man a wrap. Tell us how he will eat it and give us 3 minutes" MELTDOWN AVERTED and a very happy little boy who actually ate his meal. The wrap was fabulous and the chef even came out to check it was ok with my son asking for a high five!! What a credit to the company. This is the reason I gave the food component 5 stars! However, whilst waiting for the children to eat we decided to do a Google review and upon writing it we found two empty booths away from the front entrance which we couldn't originally see and the original booth we were told we categorically couldn't use was now seating (restaurant still quiet) a table of six having their meal. I asked to speak to the same manager/owner and asked why he'd allowed another family to eat there and not us, explaining again our needs etc. He insisted the family had booked but when I challenged him had they booked that table he said no they had made an exception and seated them there. There were loads of large tables available, so why could they use a table we had been told was solely for an overflow of customers?! Surely we had a need? I calmly and politely challenged him. The management response was "we seated you and you were happy with that. (We weren't and moved) You're welcome to leave a Google review but it will be one of us, well me actually replying to you!" I hope Mitchells & Butler are aware of how their chain is being represented. Toby Carvery, is this your policy on inclusivity.

Visited Toby cavery numerous times and this by far the worst food I've seen . Roast potatoes not edible veg all dried out had to request for the bullet sprouts to be changed will not be coming back to this branch again.

Food excellent as usual. Doom Bar ale was better than my previous visit when it was served very cold.

Had a carvery with my family the other day and it was excellent. Lovely lady ; Gilly, served us and honestly made our night out much better. She made sure we where well looked after and was very attentive to the kids. My boy is a tad shy and quiet but she got him giggling away. The food and atmosphere went hand in hand, very cosy and rustic. The Gammon was delicious and my Guinness was poured to perfection. Very happy and plan on coming back soon

no interest in serving after 9:30 pm. was told it's closed after travelling 4 hours to nearby hotel wanted a quick pint but they were finished even though the website site says 10 pm closing

Had a fantastic meal on a very busy Sunday lunch. The food was perfect & the service at the food counter by Jake was spot on! The only downside was that with so many people in there despite it being a winters day it was uncomfortably hot in there.

As expected for a carvery, nothing special but good hearty food. Clean table, attentive wait staff even if those serving the meat were a bit slow. Quiet for a Saturday lunchtime.

I recently came to Toby’s with my family for the first time in a while, and it continues to never disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was brilliant - Andrew the chef was lovely and made me feel even more welcome, as did the front of house.

Visited towards the end of service. Only scraps of meat, dried up stuffing, no parsnips, the waitress could not have been less helpful about my wife's gluten allergy. Seriously do not go to this restaurant. Toby carvery, shame on you
