Great store. Several floors available and accessible by escalator or lift. Foodhall on lower ground floor. Women's and men's clothing, baby and children's clothing. Shoes, lingerie, socks tights etc. Great cafe for light bites. Clear indication of calorie count for different options. Kids menu. Good coffee. Toilets were clean. Staff polite and friendly. Store was clean and well lit in all areas I visited.

Waiting to be served at the till, the sign which shows the start was not correctly displayed so I lined up at the wrong end, the cashier saw me and didn’t bother to point out my mistake, when it should have been my turn, someone with piles and piles of returns joined at the correct end and instead of using her moral compass to serve me, the miserable staff member served that person and I had to walk across to the other side and wait for ages. Eventually when the queue was very long (due to the many returns) another till was opened. Some basic customer service training and a review of way finding signage is required.

I have always liked M&S at CP, usually go there to buy clothes for the family, top up shop (snacks) and for gifts. Every year I buy the children uniform at M&S, collected the uniform but had to exchange couple items as it was too big. Oh my gosh, it is with regret I the most painful experience with all three older women working there. An older lady working at the uniform section was busy scanning, she says she’s not from uniform section, was so adamant they don’t do 17-18 yrs old (but they do as per website) Upstairs at the floor level there were few busy gassing and not looking very busy at all so I asked for her help, she told me to go downstairs to get help but trouble is there is no one at uniform with the product knowledge. She was adamant they don’t do shirts 17-18years old (yet again incorrect & I showed her my app). Not willing to help me, absolutely useless so I decided to just get a refund on the items that I bought that were too big. The lady at the till seem to had enough and it was only 10am!!!! M&S you need to re-train all three of the older women (late 60’s) on how to provide a better, happier, excellent customer service, to go that extra mile, to be helpful, think out of the box and make an alternative solution/options. I’m so disappointed that I buy uniform every year at M&S, but I was so mortified with the non-existent customer service. I decided to just get a refund as I’m not willing to spend my money on M&S from the three awful employees.

I was looking forward to the cheesy crumpet… sadly I was very disappointed. The crumpet must have been grilled on a radiator, the cheese sauce would have sat much better if the crumpet’s surface had been browned. It was all one big cold tepid soggy mess… it actually made me feel queasy…

Food was not good at all… For £9 a big breakfast, if wasn’t that big, yes, it had 2 sausages and bacon, but they are mini size, the hash brown is not crunchy and tastes bad..😭 Toast was cold and so on Also the chicken burger was not impressive, extra hard bun, my brother struggled to chew it, the coleslaw salad was just some veggies fine cut I would’ve given 1 star, but the Victoria sponge cake was actually good 👍🏼

A great store and well laid out. Free parking and very easy to wheel your food trolley to your car. Nice restaurant but long queues at busy times but definitely we orth the wait. I've only given 4 stars because of lack of floor assistants and also today, June 9th 2024, the store was so cold. The excuse "AC broken". Please get it fixed. I would have stayed longer in the store but couldn't wait to get out and warm up.

I shopped at Marks and Spencer Castlepoint this morning and as usual was very satisfied with their service. However one thing I really want to mention is one of their employees, who served me at approx. 12.30 pm in the food hall. I had left my purse behind in the packing area unknown to me, and whilst making my way out to approach the stairs the member of staff who served me had run to catch up with me to hand me my purse. I was so grateful and absolutely so impressed with her attitude and service to Marks and Spencer customers. Well done to this employee and to Marks and Spencer for employing such honest, trustworthy and credible employees who go the extra mile for the customers.

Most of my reviews are 5 stars and rare that I feel compelled to post a negative review unless I feel strongly. In this case the customer service was just awful. The deputy manager explained the store is short of staff which was the reason my experience was poor. If the deputy manager's energy had been focused on resolving the situation rather than explaining M & S are actively recruiting, pay competitive salaries and unfortunately retail isn't seen as an attractive work environment the situation could have been turned around. I would have bought quite a lot of clothing and left a happy customer.

I went to M&S Castle point 21/5/24 to look for specific underwear for a dress. Also to find a brazier for husband to wear at registry office wedding! I had the dress with me and the assistant Tina in lingerie department was so helpful, went above and beyond to find the right underwear even to using bra clips and nipple covers. Well I was blown anway with the help she gave! I’m all sorted now! Tnx Tina. …. Next to the Mens department, assistant Pauline guided us to the braziers and suggested what shirt and trousers would go!! A result husband looks gorgeous!!! Tnx Pauline. Shopping done for wedding without stress. Happy customers 😊

I found the store layout very very stressful. Everything is mixed up - tops, coats, trousers etc.I wanted to buy a pair of ladies trousers. The rails were spread about everywhere and it was stressful trying to shop and compare the trousers. I knew exactly what I wanted and could not find them. No help desk or available staff to assist or advise. Staff at 'pay desk' did not want to know and were unhelpful. I don't want to go there again. Too stressful. I was glad to leave.

I can suffer with quite bad anxiety sometimes even doing the food shop can be extremely overwhelming and nerve wrecking task for me, but in M&S it is truly a pleasant experience. All the workers here are so lovely and helpful, They really go above and beyond for the customers, the little things like opening the bags and wrapping your flowers at the check out is really thoughtful and makes the experience as a shopper much easier, I never feel rushed and stressed at the check outs like I do in some other supermarkets. Even the Christmas food shop was a stress free experience with plenty of staff on tills and fully stocked up. Great service, lovely food and reasonably priced!

Went yesterday to buy a tuxedo for my partner, the gent from California working in this section took one look at him and instantly pointed us in the correct direction of his sizes. He was spot on and gave advice to make it last a bit longer, definitely helped conclude this sale as we were completely hopeless without his great knowledge on suits/tuxedo sizing. Should be employee of the month for sure if you have such things in place! Legend.

For a change, we decided to have the Big Breakfast for £8.95 each. There was plenty of quantity with 2No sausages, 2No streaky bacon, baked beans, 2No hash browns, 2No poached eggs, 1No large mushroom. To be honest, the quality wasn't quite what I would have expected for M&S as we have both had much better big breakfasts elsewhere and probably wouldn't select it again. We followed up with a lemon drizzle and carrot cake which were both excellent. I have had other hot food dishes in the past that were much better than their big breakfast on this occasion.

M&S should be ashamed of their recently added cheese topped crumpet offering! Went to the M&S cafe at Castlepoint, Bournemouth today and was served up an unappetisingly undercooked crumpet, not even topped fully with cheese, replete with a glob of mediocre chutney. All for the ridiculous price of £4.50. Don’t bother - go elsewhere and buy yourself a whole pack of crumpets and a pack of cheese for less than that and toast them at home!

Don’t bother!! Castlepoint Bournemouth M&S cafe. They’ve never got what you want. A few weeks ago they didn’t have eggs. Then they didn’t have avocado. Today they don’t have chai latte. The family we sat next to had issues with their breakfast. 3 times they were told something in the breakfast was out of stock and offered a refund after waiting and waiting for their original breakfast of the first order. The silly thing is, the restaurant is above the food hall, so it doesn’t take a genius to work it out. The tables are always piled with plates and cups. Very slow in clearing them compared to other places. You may well ask, why do we come back? It’s that optimistic feeling that it may have improved since our last visit and the hope that others have written reviews which may change this place for the better!! Maybe we’ll leave it 6 months to see how it’s improved!! But I won’t hold my breath!!

Well laid out store but hardly any size 8 or 10 in women’s clothes in store. The Korean bbq chicken kebabs we bought were the worst food I have eaten. It looked like and had the texture of centrifuged chicken. Bland. Out of the 4 in the pack 3 and a half went in the bin. Waste of money!

Sadly as a very regular customer at this location, the service on occasions is abysmal. Obviously not enough staff left to make the service work. Today the service was slow again with queues building into the menswear area. The staff were friendly and unflustered but must feel under pressure. The dishwasher needs attention as the cutlery had dried food deposits on it. Not just the odd item. All of the ones I picked up. It's clearly a management problem. No doubt as usual their all sat in the office thinking up the next blue sky scheme instead of having their finger on the pulse.

Have visited the M&S coffee shop a couple of times recently & noticing no reviews on here by anyone for sometime thought I’d add one in the hope that someone from M&S reads them !! Firstly get more staff the queues at times are outrageous, but as not much in the way of other options at Castle Point I guess that doesn’t bother M&S management. Secondly get more staff in the cafe area cleaning & tidying tables and floor area. A few more staff members would probably mean they end up with more customers & a better experience for the customer.

If I had a choice to give 0 stars as a rating I would. I have shopped with M&S mainly for kids school uniform,underwear & food for over 15 yrs! Today I visited the store to EXCHANGE school uniform(have reciept) but was refused as was 5 days over their NEW 35 day refund policy.I fully understand that I couldn't have a refund but I wasn't asking for that,I wanted to exchange for something else instore not uniform as I had placed an separate order with M&S for the correct styling of school uniform.Not a different size, as was implied by a member of staff.Im now stuck with 2 skirts and 2 pairs of trousers that are no good to me as isn't the right styling for my children.The store manager wouldn't come over to speak to me either! I live 25 mins away from this store so is a 50 min round trip and is now my most local branch as Poole store is closed. Overal EXTREMELY disappointed in customer service and I will not be purchasing anything in this store ever again.

A wonderful security lady working on the food court lower ground floor helped us today. My two children wandered off this afternoon while we were uniform shopping, they found this lady who helped them find me. She was extremely kind to them and congratulated them on finding a member of staff. She rewarded them with some percy pigs and they felt so proud and brave. I forget her name, but thank you so much, they'll remember today for a long time.

A large store with a wide range of products. It's main drawback is that it's about 30 minutes drive away from our home. Fortunately we were able to find things that we wanted, as it would have been a waste of a morning if we had not. There used to be a local store which could be easily reached in about 15 minutes by bus but now this travel option takes 90 minutes or more. Obviously M&S prefer to make their potential customers travel rather than provide a local shop, which doesn't say much for its love of the environment.

My mother got me some flowers for my birthday payed 30 pounds. They got delivered with no note, and the flowers were damaged. The flowers did not open and just rotted as the days went by. I emailed M&S and they said they would send me a replacement, and this never came. I emailed then asking when was this coming, and they said that I had to send them a reference, when they had already send me an email saying they were going to replace it. Awful flowers Awful customer services Never use them again, and as I can see from the awful reviews I am not the only one.

The lingerie department does not cater for disabled customers as they are made to use the furthest changing rooms away from the Lingerie department and store entrance. Also I was told that next time I wanted to bring my elderly mother in to try on bras I should book use of a wheelchair from the castlepoint centre. Also if I had booked a bra fitting appointment I would have been able to use the fitting room on the department instead. However we did not need the bra fitting service as I was quite capable of helping my mother choose her own bras! My mother and I had our lunch in the cafe before deciding on buying some new bras on our way out. My mother and I felt uncared and unwanted whilst on the department and we were both left feeling upset and left the store without trying on any bras as my mother physically couldn't get to the fitting room after having walked to the cafe. I wanted to try on some special and sensitive adapted bras myself but it would have also been impossible as there were no seats for my mother to sit down on to rest either. The store layout and department management should be rethought as after this experience neither my mother and I would want to return to this store ever again. We never experienced this in our local Poole or Bournemouth town center stores. Nor did we want to buy loads of bras to try on at home and return the ones that were not suitable. So be aware of taking elderly or disabled people into this store. So their store motto should be DON'T GET OLD and TO BOOK ONLINE before you visit their store.

I visited Castlepoint store last Sunday to purchase shoes. I was initially helped by Chrissy on Ladieswear. The shoes I was looking at were loafers, Chrissy asked if I needed any help, I explained that I needed shoes for work and that they had to be comfortable. She directed me to the ‘good move’ range which are the same as Sketchers at half the cost! Sue S then took over reiterating the comfort and quality of a great design. Sue offered to look in the warehouse for my size which she didn’t have, immediately offering to order them for me to my local store. Nothing was too much trouble from either of these ladies. The service was first class & exceptionally friendly. I’m very happy with my purchase which cost a fraction of my usual work shoes.

Took a pair of shilds shoes back today what are 6 months old. Bearing in mind with days off for covid and holidays.. The sole is coming off the front of both shoes. Look good ecerywhere else. I find the M&S at Castlepoint brilliant. It always has the best menswear selection and I have never been unable to find what I am looking for, the changing rooms is very clean and upmarket with kind clerks attending it, and the shopping experience for the menswear is pleasant. The cafe at this M&S is very nice, good seating area and good food selection, the coffee is always very nice here and the pastries are delicious. Cafe is often very clean and the staff kind. The foodhall has brilliant selection of food, well laid out and clean I generally enjoy going food shopping here. The store has a brilliant selection of other departments too such as home wear and cosmetics. Customer services at this store is excellent and I look forward to coming here again soon. It’s definitely one of the better M&S stores in the U.K.

I needed some trousers to wear to work (In a hospital) The lovely young lady, Janice helped me to find different sizes and brought me through some tunic type dresses to try with them so I could get an idea of how they would look with a work tunic. She tried getting different sizes as I am tall. Some of the sizes were out of stock unfortunately but she said I could order online. She was so smiley and helpful and nothing was too much bother for her. I managed to get one pair I liked in my size and will order the rest online. I felt very valued as a customer and I went away very happy. Thank you so much Janice!

Very poor show. Brought some T Shirts. Didn't even take them out of the packet. Lost weight and previous ones were to big. Tried to change them for smaller sizes. Not in stock and refused to change. You wonder why so many M&S stores are closing.

We went to the M&S Cafe as not much else in Castle point and i have to say M&S need to take a look at some of these reviews and see what their customers are writing. Many hit the nail on the head and actually tell them whats wrong with their cafes for free and it wont take much to put it right. Anyway my trip had the same issues,uncleared tables,Managers clearing with the phone stuck to their ears. When we ordered i was given a pager that went off and the person bringing the food would know exactly where we were sitting. Except the system doesn't work the pager went off and the guy passed our table several times, i had to go get him and all that time the food was getting cold. Poor menu selection and food availability this a place we only go as last resort.

Disappointed. On arrival at the restaurant I presented the voucher for a birthday afternoon tea treat. I was advised that you select a box of sandwiches and two scones with jam and cream. The presentation was very poor not displayed as a special birthday treat on a cake stand but simply in cardboard wrapping and paper bag for the scones. I had to go back to the cashier for sugar which was not given with the tea. Not considered a birthday treat at all! The cafe was not that busy and would made the occassion extra special with more attention to detail. Not considered to be a treat.

Visiting the cafe at Castlepoint for the first time in ages following the latest lockdown, I was unimpressed by the changes made to their menu. The toasted sandwiches are now made with sourdough bread which meant a chewy dry offering. Side salads are no longer available to order which added to the dryness of the toastie. I was told I could have a side of fries or coleslaw instead. Not much of a choice as who wants chips with a sandwich toasted or otherwise?! I opted for the coleslaw expecting it to be of the deli type but it was a tasteless version coloured purple presumably by the addition of beetroot. I was also told that jacket potatoes are also now served minus a side salad. Whether these changes are supposed to be an improvement I don’t know but if they are M&S have made a big mistake.
