The fish was okish the scampi was poor but the chips were down right diabolical and considering they are the main stay of the meal it’s a pretty poor eating experience.

This is without a doubt the worst fish & chips, in fact food of any kind, I have ever had. £32 worth of horrific tasting fish, chips, scampi and sausages in the bin, absolutely inedible. The place is grim - silver foil holding broken counters together, dirty and greasy. Food Hygiene rating of 3 is questionable.

Missing two items, tried phoning shop direct but phone never answered. Wasn’t prepared to drive all the way back to sort it out as rest of food would have been cold. Pity, looking forward to a nice complete family meal.

This was our 1st time using Simons Restaurant and they managed to beat our usual and local chip shop hands down. my wife who is extremely pickie when it comes to her Plaice fillet was so happy she is still talking about it .WELL DONE GUYS YOU MADE OUR DAY. We will be back

Grubby premises, staff were grumpy, chips were bad, soggy, alot of black bits and oil tasted off. The battered fish was edible thankfully.

I dont know where to start chips were so bad we did not eat them only the fish and foot long sausage was ok This was not the first time we were let down by Simons, we will NOT be ordering from them again The burger was, I cannot tell you, very upset

Really greasy batter couldn't eat most of it. Fish inside was delicious though. The fryers looked like they needed a deep clean, won't be returning. Strange items for sale in the shop including pet food.

Food was very greasy and batter quite thick on pineapple fritters but good portion sizes!

Decent fish and chips - often very busy - staff can look quite stressed out, harassed and pissed off to the core.

I’m afraid we didn’t have nice food. Fish was nice and the chicken strips. But chips were not edible or the chicken burger and apple pies. I think the chips must have been cooked in very old fat, they tasted bitter and smelt bad. It’s a shame as we chose this place due to the good ratings.

Ordered from here via Just Eat yesterday evening. Chips tasted and smelt off like had been cooked in old fat. We didn’t eat more than a couple of them.Chicken burger was not pleasant and apple pies stale and very greasy. Fish and chicken strips were nice. I tried to call the shop but they had closed. Just Eat are now dealing. What makes this worse is I left a review on Just Eat which the owner replied to and implied I was lying and said I should have called the shop. I did and you were closed. No apology or hint of good customer service just attempted shaming of an honest review.

The chips were either undercooked or hard the fish was half raw also my daughter found a hair in hers and the saveloy tasted of water never order from there again

Overall, a good experience. Food was alright. Batter wasn’t cooked enough, very soft. Rest of the food was nice. Hot when arrived. Would order again.

The fish was not of good quality the batter was thin and stuck to the box. The batter on the sausages was non existent. I have ordered again just incase it was a one off but it is exactly the same

Food was fresh and still crispy even though it had far to travel. We had the family meal of battered sausages, chips and sides. Fantastic prices. Fed the family and then some for under £25. Will be ordering again that's for sure!

Excellent quality food. Sometimes you have to wait for the food to be cooked but its worth it. The cod I had was nice and chunky and the batter was not too excessive. The shop also sells other items and also cold drinks. Well worth a visit after you've been down the beach. Parking is in a service road nearby so that's easy too.

Thank you Simons for a fabulous meal. The F&C was delivered piping hot. The fish was a great size, tasty, cooked nicely, delicious. Chips were a good portion, well cooked & tasty. The Irish curry sauce was nice & so were the mushy peas. We thank all the staff who had a hand in place roaring, cooking, wrapping & delivering out meal. Usually very nice fish and chips, but tonight (12/October) very undercooked batter, soggy and anemic. Will give it one more go, if the same I will go elsewhere.

Worst fish and chips we have ever had and we will never order from Simon's again. The chips had a strong chemical taste which stayed in the mouth for a couple of hours (and I only ate about 5 chips before putting them all in the bin). The fish was small in size, very thin and dry. The pea fritter was soggy and inedible. Please don't bother!

Fantastic to stand for 30 mins while JustEat orders are prioritised over a simple order of fish & chips. To make matters worse, after finally getting the food, and to the beach to eat them - they forgot the fish👏

Fish and chips were lovely but my son's chicken burger wasn't it was very small and overcooked my son ended up with a plate of chips for his tea as he couldn't eat the burger Very disappointed

Had chips from here quite often when visiting Bournemouth. Didn't this last visit, it, like everywhere else was heaving.

Lovely fish and chips on our way home from the beach,staff were friendly and food wasn't greasy,a few tables outside but midges were around so sat in the car. Will definitely visit again
