Wanted to get myself and my mum a coffee, staff had a poor attitude. Left my mums coffee lid unsecure, could have burned herself had i not of noticed that the lid wasnt on properly.

The food is average but staff are super friendly and very helpful. My son accidentally spilled all of my drink minutes after I got it and this brunette haired lady was quick to mop it up and offer me a free refill, thank you so much 🩵 made my day

Visited twice during our holiday, excellent coffee. Despite being really busy, we didn't have to wait long to be served or receive orders. Conveniently attached to Oceanarium and located on the beach front, it rarely got quiet but highly equipped to cope with a high volume of customers.

We have used this place frequently for the past couple of years, and have experienced mistakes by staff on several occasions, but today was the final visit. My wife placed an order which was wrongly delivered, and the waiter was apologetic and took away the food to have it replaced with what she ordered. This caused my wife to look at the bill and she noticed that she had been overcharged by 40p, which is not a fortune, but there is a principle here so she went to the desk to point it out and came back fuming at the treatment she had received, long story but she had eventually told them to forget it as they were making things difficult. As we were eating the manageress approached us, no apology, and told us the till didn't enable them to carry out a simple refund, which I told her was ridiculous. Some time later she walked up and slapped 40p in cash on the table saying, "here's the money from the till", again no apology, she simply stormed off. That was our last visit.

Tasy chips, delicious coffee and super helpful and friendly staff.

Terrible place. Have visited many times but have finally given up hoping it will improve. This is such a shame because they are in such a wonderful location. Please, please, let someone who knows how to run a coffee house take charge.

Their full English consists of a bacon and sausage sandwich, well it would if they had any sausages. Don't believe their website. I will never go there again.

The worst place i have ever been

Very kind, polite & professional staff. Quick service, I ordered a chicken burger which was served within about 10 minutes. Tummy filling, couldn't even finish the entire burger to be honest. I've had chicken burgers from places elsewhere around the beach & I must say this was the best one so far. The burger patty was the right size, crispy & served with good quantity lettuce, tomato & mayo. Though mayo was less rich (watery), it gave the burger the perfect moisture. No onions added though. I had it as a takeaway but then decided to have it at the outdoor seating of the cafe with the best view of the beach. I've read reviews for this cafe from the past & from what I observed today, they have definitely improved a lot. Will definitely visit again if coming to Bournemouth.

Staff were rude and maybe having on off day. They forgot to even toast/serve our paninis until we asked. 30 minutes waiting with a 4 year old that was eager to get onto the sand. Would not recommend or go back.

Uninterested staff, rude, couldnt see us sat at table, clearly there with our table number pointer, so took coffees back Inside and made us collect from counter. Half hour for a panini... must have forgot us altogether, disappointed to say the least

We went today for some food before heading to the beach and the staff went above and beyond to make my daughter who is allergic to dairy, soya and citrus a kids box meal by letting change the ingredients to suit her diet without any questions or hiking the price up... this is very rare for us because normally the second we mention allergies the price seems to be hiked to double...the staff were amazing too and I had one very hapoy little girl

disgusting place. be ashamed of your behavior. I asked for hot water to make milk for the baby. they said they wouldn't let me. we had a 3 hour drive home. my son is only 5 months old. I asked if I could wash the bottle in the toilet because I have no way to feed the child anymore, the lady said that I have to buy something from them first. this is disgusting behavior!!! I've never encountered anything like this

Lovely staff, tasty breakfast. But the soft whip ice cream was divine. Just look at the size of that thing for only £2. The best, largest and cheapest soft swirl ice cream in Bournemouth

Got to be the only cafe that doesn't do toast for breakfast,complete waste of time. 5 people standing behind the counter laughing and joking, 1 of them serving, we don't do toast.

Awful place, the staff were rude, when our food arrived, my baguette was dropped on the table, the waiter picked it up with his bare hands & slapped it back on the plate. No apology & walked off. Shame as pre Covid we had been a few times before which was nice. Over priced for appalling service.

Me and my mum went to get some coffee at 9 and the poster on the door says it opens at 9. But 2 guys were working there told me no they not open and they were so rude me and my mum were shocked! The guy said they don’t know when they open while screaming! How disgusting and rude!

Reasonable portion size, slightly high price but to be expected with its location. Staff were friendly and a special shout out to the manager, who took time to help an elderly customer navigate the door code to the toilet.

Sat outside cafe waiting over 30 minutes for a panini to be heated and "squashed for whatever reason" with a very small amount of side salad. Chips came out after 45 mins as we went into ask what the hold-up was. A disabled person in wheelchair could not get through doors so they gave up. A man asked politely for water for his dog but was refused. There was litter and food blowing all around area so looked disgraceful, tables were not emptied or cleaned. We definitely would not return.

We had burgers here, meat was nice but it was the only thing inside burgers except slice of tomato. It’s the shame as I feel it would be tastier if I would receive something else inside. Bun was dry and tasted bad. I did not expect much but ketchup with fried chicken in the bun was not the best to have.

Came in for a coffee after walking round the aquarium. It was only 3.30 ish, lad behing counter (black hair in ponytail) asked if we wanted a mug or takeaway cup. Asked for mug and his attitude was to slam a mug down and give a dirty look because we asked for mugs. Very rude. See the place dont shut till 5.30 ,so it wasnt as if we were keeping them back. !!!! Also had a attitude when another couple came in behind us for a drink. Surely that what they employed to do ( serve drinks etc !!!.he shouldnt be there if thats his attitude to customers.

I have been yesterday there and the guy from till he doesn’t even listen your order as he is busy talking to his collegue,also the girl had dirty nails,where is food safety there?👎👎👎

We often visit the oceanarium as we have annual passes. Not eaten here before but had a very hungry toddler and my father was visiting and needed to eat too. The food was pretty awful, there was a long wait and the food came out barely warm, dry and appeared to have been reheated numerous times. We would have sent it back but my toddler needed to eat as did my dad (blood sugar medical reasons) We did see another table send the food back and ask for a refund. It’s such a shame as the staff were really friendly, the location is great with amazing beach views and they do really nice coffee. If we return we would only have coffee!

Nice coffee, reasonably priced especially for sea front. A man didn't get asked to stop vaping inside though. Quite echoey so other people's children seemed noisy 😏

Stopped for coffee and a muffin after walking all the way from Alum Chine. Lovely and sunny. Very mild. Quite a lot of people around. Great to get out in the fresh air.

We use this cafe regularly. Dogs are welcome on outside decking and it's a good place to watch the world go by while enjoying a proper mug of tea.

Good location. Especially when good weather, sitting outside is ideal. Food was good though the waiting time was somewhat long. Fair price.

Only had coffee the drinks where fine

It was OK. Nothing fancy. Waiting time was quite long and if you wanted hot food a sign said it was a 25min wait. When you've got a hungry 5 year old it is too long to wait. So we ended up with cake and drinks.

We were really disappointed with our experience here. There was a queue which was expected BUT while in queue, a staff member from the kitchen slammed a sign down regarding a half an hour wait, then commented to another member of staff about the rush. I shrugged it off as I worked in catering and know it's hard. We placed our order and was sent to sit and wait to be called for hot drink and food. During this time I realised id been iber charged nearly £7 and they "forgot" we had meal deals. I waited for the drink while obtaining a refund but nothing. When questioned they assumed I'd left. Anyway, we waited for the food which was within the 30 mins, but unfortunately all 3 hot dogs were barely warm, the buns were split in 2 parts making it difficult to eat and the food was served in boxes, rather than plates. I assumed there was a problem in the kitchen so never questioned it, but over all these things combined made it a really poor experience. The staff are lacking in customer service skills and we're clearly unhappy to be there. I never questioned anything besides the refund as I felt really uncomfortable even asking for a refund for an overcharge!

Food was bad. Portion of adult's cod and chips was the same as the children one. For that price £9 would expect more than few chips and disgusting pieces fish alike. Very poor.

Food awful and the stuff is rough..

So the chips we ordered were nice but the waiting time was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for our chips. One man even waited 45+ minutes for his order (which was the same size as ours, 2 chip boxes). I understand that it is a busy place but it was very unorganised since people who ordered after us got food a while before us. Apart from that staff was friendly, chips were good and it’s a great view of the beach.

Decent Cheesy Chips but ran out burgers at 1pm on Bank Holiday Monday! 45 minute wait for food.....more staff and more stock needed.

Visited on Saturday 22 May 2021, I definitely would not recommend this place. Service is slow, the staff are rude and need to have some respect when engaging customers.

Burger had the taste and texture of cardboard. Chips were good as was the service.

Made a visit for lunch with my family ( outside only) had some amazing sandwiches and grandson had chicken and chips all presented lovely and outstanding friendly service and reasonably priced- can’t go wrong here.

Just popped in for a drink after walking from Boscombe Pier Starbucks Caramel Machiato was really nice had cream and sauce on top, staff seemed friendly, tables could have done with a better clean considering Covid but what annoyed me abit was a member off staff kept looking at us then at his watch as it closed in 15 mins yeh ok we get it bye.

All I wanted was a can of coke and the guy wouldn’t take my cash and insisted on card, no explanation as to why, presumably because he believes all the Covid hype. It’s ok for him to handle a drink which he would have passed to me but not take cash from me

Unfortunately I had the most disappointingly horrid full English breakfast here yesterday! Both myself and my family couldn't get in to Westbeach (next door) so we thought we would try offshore cafe. I can honestly say I will never be returning. If you like your sausages to taste like dog food this is the place for you. Avoid like the plague.

Don't bother. Don't waste your money. Awful good. Old, limp cucumber and lettuce, dry bread, dry bacon but greasy (how is that even possible?) one slice of tomato in the cheese and tomato sandwich, didn't even finish it. And wrote this review while I was still sat there!!!

We stopped here because the boys wanted some lunch while on the beach and regretted it. The layout and the food was that of school canteen. The food was boring and flavourless and there were flies buzzing around us. I don't think one of us finished our food with a mix of baked potato's and sandwiches and snacks. I think this place is designed for a quick emergency basic sandwhich for kids coming out of the aquarium and nothing more.

Don’t bother to eat here!! Ordered a jacket potato/chicken mayo and a couple of sandwiches for my kids. The jacket potato looked awful and taste awful too, it was cold. That could be the reason they took 3 minutes to bring the food. It’s expensive for what it is...sitting here really disappointed spending money on something I did not enjoy! I complained about it and all they said, sorry!!!

We visited the offshore on our last day of our break away in Bournemouth. We wanted something quick so opted for their takeaway service which we were told would be a 5-10 minute break. We sat on the seating outside while we waited...20 minutes passed so i popped inside to ask how much longer we would have to wait, i was then told that our order never went through so they would organise our lunch right away... a further 20 minutes passed and after other customers receiving their food our food arrived, in baskets and not takeaway. I asked them to box it up for us to take it away which they did, however, when we sat on the beach to eat we realized we had been given the wrong order!!! I wouldn't normally complain seeing as the setting from the outside seating is gorgeous BUT when a member of staff who appeared to be the manager is sat outside chatting with a drink while the other staff run around is just not acceptable. A minimum 40 minute wait for what should have been 10 minutes is ridiculous. A very disappointing last bite in Bournemouth...

I visited this awful cafe today and will never return . The oceanarium gets a 10 , as is excellent. But the awful service food and presentation of food gets a zero .

I came to the Off Shore Cafe for lunch with my family. I loved the cafe is right on the sea front right next to the Lovely Bournemouth Beach. i enjoyed a great FLT sandwich which was of very high quality well done to the chief. It was lovely to sit and watch the waves rolling in on the beach and watching the people strolling along the promenade. A visit to this cafe is a must on a lovely day when the sun is shining.

Very busy fresh cooked food lovely staff

This place has potential to be fantastic as right by the sea, great views etc. They serve Starbucks coffee and the chips we had were pretty decent in portion and tasted good. In terms of cleanliness, there is definitely work to be done. Our seats were covered in food and the tables were not clean. When served our food, a chip fell on to the table and the waitress picked it with her fingers and put it back into my bowl...perhaps some training in hygiene is in order!

One word. Disgusting. The service was poor, miserable staff, slushy ice cream, stale cookie. Toilets, absolutely appalling, floor with urine all over it, dirty toilet looked like it had never been cleaned, and when we raised this concern with staff, they just shrugged their shoulders. Never go here.

Usé esto para el desayuno en lugar del restaurante muy caro en el hotel. La comida y el servicio son básicos, pero la comida cubre las necesidades de la vida y está bien preparada y servida con una sonrisa. Hay mesas y sillas agradables afuera para sentarse y observar cómo transcurre la vida en la playa mientras espera y come y reflexiona sobre su té o café. Personal campesino.

Friendly staff good view of the beach and water

Fui a este café ayer con un amigo y nuestros dos hijos. Cuando llegamos, estábamos en la calle 1. Todavía esperábamos más de una hora para 4 desayunos solo para descubrir que solo habían hecho 3. Deja que la espera comience de nuevo.Básicamente, prepárate para esperar mucho tiempo y revisar tu pedido.El desayuno en sí no estaba mal cuando finalmente llegó.

Fui aquí para el desayuno en grupo. A pesar del aire inicial de eficiencia otorgado por el personal y el hecho de que solo había otras dos personas en el lugar, tuvimos una espera extremadamente larga, el pedido estaba incompleto y nuestro tiempo total en el local (salimos tan pronto como Terminó), fue más de una hora y media! !

Cafe direkt am Strand am Oceanarium. Cafe und Service ist okay, es gibt Rabatt auf den Eintritt im Oceanarium und umgekehrt. Besonders schön ist der Blick von der Terasse übers Meer.

Had a lovely lunch, lovely fresh granary sandwich served with a salad on the side. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

On the beach..Great for tea and toast

This place is right next to and part of the Bournemouth sea life centre. So there are always going to be a lot of children about. Having said that the staff coped really well. They were polite, courteous and helpful. Clearly well trained and efficient. Although busy the noise levels were ok. The views across the pier and the beach are lovely and you get a real sense of how popular Bournemouth is. Food was inexpensive, fresh and of God quality.

Over priced tiny amount of food don't ever go there

I ordered a burger and chips. The burger was over filled with relish, the salad in the burger was all over the place and there was too much of it, and the burger was tasteless. The bun was soggy. The chips were okay. The outside tables were disgusting, and nobody cleaned the tables at all whilst we were here.

Only giving one star because I cant give none. Poor,slow service unhelpful staff and over cooked greesey breakfast.

Fui aquí con mi esposa para un desayuno y no me decepcionó. Comí un sándwich de tocino y huevo, ella solo había tostado y ambos estábamos muy felices con todo. Ambos tomamos una bebida cada uno y esto llegó a 10 así que no me puedo quejar. La cafetería mira hacia la playa y hay algunos pequeños acuarios encantadores en el otro lado. El personal era encantador para nosotros y muy acogedor.

20 frozen chips with miserable service for £2.25 dont waist your time and money !

Step 1 - secure one of the 8 tables on the outside terrace. Step 2 - go inside and order a £4.50 BLT. Step 3 - wait in the sun for 10 minutes and enjoy the view. Step 4 - try to finish your enormous sandwich. There are poor disabled facilities and awful toilets. But as for that bacon sarnie! 5 stars for the position and value for money.

On a cold wet Day it was very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. We can recommend the Hot Chocolate

Muy llano y poco acogedor por dentro. Pedimos inglés completo cada uno y fue horrible. No había mucho en el plato y lo que había allí era tan seco que era difícil de comer. No interactuar con el personal ya que estaban demasiado ocupados discutiendo entre ellos. Muy caro, nunca volvería a ir allí de nuevo.

If you like tasteless chips,slimy hot-dogs this is the place for you, not sure what we expected but is certainly was,nt this low quality of food, A very boring menu.It is expensive for what you get as its on the Prom in Bournemouth. We wont be going back unless we kidnap a granny who likes tasteless food

I come here often with my 2 year old son, we have membership to the oceanariums so get 20% off in the cafe. The food can be a bit hit and miss (depending what you order), but I always order the jacket potato with beans because it’s simply delicious! The best coleslaw I’ve ever eaten is served with it (need to find out where it’s from it’s so good) and my son usually has beans on toast. With my discount and 2 drinks it comes to around £8...a fab price! Food is always quick and tables are always clean. Sometimes the staff seem a bit frantic, however they are always very friendly and helpful! Makes our trip to the oceanariums even better. Glad to also see the introduction of paper straws finally!
