We popped into the Dolphin for a quick drink. It's a great pub with lots of charm and character. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our drinks. We'll definitely visit again.

This is a great meeting place with a hiden garden out the back , a real locals pub Brian and shirley always make you welcome and have a great sense of humour. Theirs always a story or tale , they only take money not cards , but the ATM machine is very local. a good mix of ales, beers and spirits.

Poor quality Ham, Eggs and Chips It was 10.15 at night so we went for something’s simple.. The eggs which are usually fried came out poached and were rock hard with hardly any yolk at all. You could count the chips on two hands although it was suppose to be the large meal and there was hardly any taste. Will go elsewhere to eat next time.

Best gammon that me and the missus has ever had. Nice buttery roasties and plenty of vegetable options. Plenty of seating and car parking spaces. Nice large outside area for summer time food and drink. Staff were friendly and reasonably priced food. Downside was that the carpets needed a really good clean, but I'm sure that this will be seen too in the not too distant future.

Terrible I know 1 star is bad and and can come across as personal, but this place was truly that bad. We ordered a mushroom burger (advised by bar staff) and a butter milk chicken burger, a side of fries and an ice-cream. 2 drinks and 2 kiddy drinks. £65 The food was so underwhelming, And not how described. The burger was roughly 8cm in diameter on cheap basics bread. I small slice of tomato 2 mushrooms and a leaf of lettuce. I paid extra to have the smallest slice of cheese and some pickled jalapenos.... £20 The butter milk chicken burger was a small plain chicken breast. The type you buy frozen. When I asked the waitress if this was normal. There was an instant wall up. It was a simple question that could of had a simple explanation. (Maybe Chefs ill and someone else cooking or run out of ingredients) instead we got resistance. And I had to say, this isn't about you or anything but about the poor food. I wasn't blaming the waitress but the question had to be asked. The chicken was apparently cooked in a sauce (it was not). And was told in actual words "what do you expect this is Padstow" I'm also a local and work in similar industry. You do not need to rip people off because we're in Padstow. It is that attitude that ruins the holiday makers experience. I can honestly say I'll never return.
