Felt a bit American to me. A big menu, with lots of choice and not too many healthy choices. We ordered a burger, garlic bread and got some fries on the side. The quality wasn't the best overall. The waitress was super sweet and kind. You had to order your food at the counter but they brought it to you.

Kind of devastated for Premier Inn's decision to stop dinner and lunch at this beefeater. The staff were always great and the food amongst the best for Beefeaters. It was also really the only proper eat-in restaurant within easy walking distance from us. It's still open to the public for drinks. Breakfast also still available. Hope previous serving staff are OK.

This place used to be so good, the food used to be amazing, today was the first time I've been back for well over a year, we ordered the roast dinner, and let me tell you that this meal was the worst roast I’ve ever had, the potatoes were dry with no flavour, the vegetable were so hard, I nearly broke my tooth, the cauliflower cheese was absolutely disgusting, such a shame, as this place used to serve such amazing meals, I would never go back and eat here again now

Have stayed here a few times in the past few years. It is no doubt a hugely under rated place to stay. It is a matter of what you prefer, a hotel with modern facilities or one with a history . My wife and I chose the latter and enjoyed the experience of staying in this finest example of beautiful Victories Gothic accommodation, full of historical connects including the first ashored survivors being rescued from the sunk Titanic, the Shackleton adventure of Antarctic...

This is by far the friendliest pub I have ever been in, I found this gem a few months back and I just can’t stop going back! We are always met with the biggest smiles, staff make customers feel very welcomed. Service with a smile will always bring back my custom, the food…..honestly I don’t know where to start, the roast potatoes are the best I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything better! Prices are great and the deals are phenomenal. These hard working individuals all deserve credit where credit is due, my son and myself will be customers for life
