Good value food, quick and professional service. Friendly atmosphere.

Brunch out is the way forward, nights out are so old school lol. Had a great weekend looking at rocks. Nice little place with nice freindly talkative people.

standard wetherspoons but with the bonus of a great location just outside of Stonehenge. the food from this wetherspoons has been the best I've had compared to any of the other locations I have visited. great staff friendly locals fantastic atmosphere

Decent JD, food ok and pleasant/timely service by staff. There were some alcohol dependant undesirables in there, but you get that in most Wetherspoons unfortunately. Recommend.

Can't beat wetherspoons for value. Steaks with a drink are my favourite. Range of local guest ales. Always good to buy from local businesses. Always something new on tap.

2 x chicken burgers 1 x pint of Doom Bar and a coffee ( with free refills)......£10.60 !!!!! Fantastic value 👏 👌 👍🏻.

Nice spoons. It looks small from the front but is cavernous inside and stretches right back. Lots of local ales on tap. Friendly staff. There’s a fireplace burning by the door. Lots of nice niche booth seating areas spread about. Refillable coffee. Use the app for table service.

Food is good especially the breakfast but don't recommend if going for cocktails as they water them down with lemonade so they don't even taste like they should, only weatherspoons that does this, after trying numerous ones.

Was cheap,Abbot was £1.99 a pint, food was good, I only had chips because I wasn't feeling great. Food service and barstaff were great. The toilets were good, but I picked up very strange vibes from the hallway outside the toilets. Not anybodies fault but was very weird. Nice pub tho.

It's a spoons. Basic and fuss free service, simple food and a pint. What's not to like.

Shockingly bad pub. Miserable service from the young barman followed by a bunch of staff gathered by the bar swearing and chatting rather than working or cleaning / clearing. There were obviously two members of staff that were about to start their shift, or had just finished, that were chatting to the ones supposed to be working. Bad language, laughing and joking amongst themselves with no thought of the customers or actually clearing glasses and cleaning the filthy tables. Never to return.

Attended with 5 friends and had unlimitted tea, chocolate, etc for just £1.04 to washdown breakfast. Thanks Tim.M for not closing The Bell in Amesbury.

Visitamos ayer ( 29 de octubre 24 ) y ambos pedimos una parrilla mixta. No soy de los que dejan comentarios negativos, pero nos dijeron que sería alrededor de 10 / 12 minutos en la aplicación y en el bar, pero 20 minutos después - nada. Luego le preguntamos al joven barman si nuestra comida estaba casi lista para ser contada “probablemente” mientras él daba la espalda y se iba. Veinte minutos después le preguntamos a la camarera, que fue de mucha ayuda en su haber, ella lo revisó y nos dijo que lamentablemente su colega lo había borrado del sistema y se había disculpado. Finalmente la comida salió, pero estaba fría. Adelante unas horas y ambos estamos sufriendo con D&V, siendo nuestras parrillas mixtas el único alimento que ambos habíamos comido. Había familias jóvenes comiendo a nuestro alrededor, sin embargo, había clientes cerca muy fuerte haciendo uso continuo de las palabras F y C en la hora que estuvimos allí y haciendo comentarios inapropiados a otras clientas y ni una vez fueron cuestionados a pesar de que los clientes lo hicieron saber al personal. Es comprensible que el personal no esté contento trabajando en Wetherspoons y empatizo con que debido a tener hijos y otros compromisos, las opciones son limitadas en términos de turnos para algunas personas, pero siento que debería haber un mayor nivel de orgullo y servicio al cliente. Esta sucursal de Wetherspoons solía ser una alegría frecuentar, pero después de nuestras últimas visitas, creo que vamos a echarlo de menos y recomendaría a otros hacer lo mismo a menos que se hagan cambios y la administración nudillo abajo en sus habilidades de servicio al cliente del personal.

Been a long time since i was last in the bell. In no hurry to go back. Atmosphere was only ok becase of the people i was with. Food was very poor and almost got sent back, but didnt want the hastle. Its a spoons so wasnt expecting the world but when you order a cheese burger online and it gives you the option to add or remove stuff it would be good if they actually removed the things you didnt want and gave you the parts that you included in the order. Other people in the group had food that was cold so not just me. We all ordered sepperately but at the same time. It would have been nice if the orders came at roughly the same time rather than 15 mins apart.

This was a beer house I managed to find late at night. The staff provided all necessary services and there were many types of beer to choose from. It's fun.

It's a Wetherspoons. What else can you say? Food and drink range is extensive, and good value, and the place is large and sprawling, so plenty of room to choose an area wh ich suits. No convenient free parking nearby, so make sure you pay in the local car parks as the wardens are ever vigilant!

Popped in here on a quiet Tuesday evening with some colleagues for a drink, one member of staff is probably one of the worst people I’ve met working in customer service. We were laughing, literally just laughing and she threatening to throw us out. I hate to see what she’s like on a busy night on a weekend!! Needless to say we just left and went elsewhere!!

Located in the one way system in Amesbury town centre. It is an older building, with seating outside at the front and in a courtyard and the garden. Everything outside was clean and tidy. Inside, there is plenty of seating, with the typical small areas with 4 to 6 seating tables. There is a self-serve hot drink station. The bar is full of drink options. The team are all friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and tidy inside. A little dark in some areas, but there are other places to sit. Food is good and the choice aligns to any Wetherspoon's.

It's a Wetherspoons, you know what to expect. Cheap beer, portion of 5 chips, a hike to the toilets and sticky messy tables. But you expect it, so take your choice...

Impressed by the service, how fast our foods arrived when we ordered. It was extraordinary that the waiter didn't come to our table. We had to order food at their bar area and pay for it at the same time as well. It was cool. The food was extremely good and fresh. Also, they had a good affordable and reasonable price.

Watched bar staff (manager?) turn off the Wetherspoon App capability so all people were made to go up to the bar for all orders? Apparently, this was due to shortage of staff??

Hemos estado aquí un montón de veces antes y estaba bien, pero hoy fue terrible. Pedí la mitad de pollo y llegó con pinta de muerte. Difícilmente reconocible como el pollo y flotando en una pistola descuidada - como salsa con una fuerte espiga de limón que era abrumadora. La devolví y la segunda no fue mejor. La segunda ofrenda era apenas una porción de pollo y claramente NO la mitad de un pollo, ya que ni siquiera tenía una porción de pata unida! La misma salsa viscosa y uno de los miembros del personal nos informó antes que 'así es como vienen en la bolsa ...' tan claramente NO cocinado a pedido en absoluto. Ya hemos comido pollo allí antes y no era nada como esto. Siempre se ha cocinado correctamente antes, todo dorado y una mitad de pollo adecuada; no una 'porción' viscosa que parezca una muerte en carretera. Muy mala calidad y no volveremos.

They only have white bread and they just warm it up not brown it which is disappointing would be nice if you could choose brown or white and how you would want your toasted

Compared with other series in the same group, the fried food is a bit over-fried and the salad portion is a bit on the small side. The store is relatively clean and the seating area is spacious.

Puedo imaginarme que son una pesadilla, pero gracias a todos por cuidarlos y darles algo para que miren hacia adelante también

En realidad no puedo comentar sobre la comida ya que no comí allí. No llevan perros en el jardín suerte de que sonamos una cabeza y pedimos ir por el camino a la nueva posada precioso pub grandes precios ayudarán en todo lo que puedan y lleva perros

Great place to eat great atmosphere

Visited today 2/8 at approx 11.30 am , intended to order via app but phone low on power . After a few minutes of standing at bar waiting to order a member of staff who was previously cleaning tables , her attitude & communication was awfull unfriendly and giving a impression she couldn’t be bothered , in the end I told her not to bother and walked out & had a breakfast elsewhere , I a regular eat at my local Wetherspoons outlet at Salisbury at where I’ve never been served with such unprofessional manner .

Not a great visit. Not enough staff, tables not cleared for over an hour and half. When our table was served with drinks the plates etc were only removed AFTER I asked and then only to the table next to us? People coming in left as there were no clean tables. A group of 9 Asian tourists had to move and clear tables to sit together. Something needs to be done. I lived here and return often throughout the year so disappointed 😞

Bit disappointed, was ordering three pints, one non-alcoholic for my friend that’s pregnant, I got it okayed at the bar, I told the bartender she was pregnant and it was still okay. We go back to the table and bartender comes over five minutes later and takes the alcohol pint away due to no ID. Was not hard to see, my friend is pregnant, her belly is quite big😂. Got refunded with a 1.75 Pepsi. If you cannot serve alcohol free cider without ID then don’t say it’s fine at the bar but then proceed to take it away. However, southern fried chicken strips… beautiful as always. I don’t know what’s going on with the chips

Nice little outdoor seating area.

No signs outside the front saying no dogs, the staff will let you order and not say anything and then get stroppy with you for having a dog on lead in the front garden seating area. Definitely friendlier places to visit in Amesbury

Decent 'spoons taking the space of a traditional pub. Served very quickly and well on our visit.

Good affordable food and good service

Our first visit to a Wetherspoons pub and it was a good one. Service was friendly and efficient. Food, and , and the ale and cider, was very good and excellent value for the price, with a good selection. The Bramley apple crumble was particularly tasty. Other patrons were exuberant but not a bother. Comfortable with clean bathrooms. We'd go again, gladly.

Good and typical weatherpoons beer and steaks...place could do with a really good deep clean....but good value for money

Smaller than many Wetherspoon pubs..plenty of room outside. Can get very busy at popular times. Being in Amesbury it's more of a local than tourist. The Army bases are near so can get a bit rowdy when the lads are enjoying themselves. One problem i find is the shouting talk, some dont realise the volume of their speech and therefore can, sometimes, be a bit over the top. If one starts loud, others follow which can be offputting to other less emotional in conversation. But generally worth a visit. I given 3 for food..1..the prices have shot up. 2. The plates are never hot..this stands for all Wetherspoons. I have mentioned it before, but nothings changed for years. Breakfast is fairly vulnerable to luke warm plates and things can cook down fairly quickly.

Just wish the toilets were downstairs.

It's a Spoons... but a good one! If you've never tried one, it's a good example of what to expect. Can't complain at choice or cost really. Never high-class but always dependable

This is a typical Wetherspoons, you know what you'll get. Very good value for money. It was unusually busy for mid week and would have benefited from more staff but I suspect it's very hard to predict how busy places might be. Service was quite good anyway.

A pretty good standard for how a weather spoons should be. Dropped by for a long afternoon and was pleasantly happy with the experience, the food was very much the standard at what you get at a spoons, but the venue itself and the staff manning it was very good. Thankfully it was a sunny day so we could hang out in the decently sized garden area (there are 2).

Very nice little spot for a good meal! They have vegan options! The staff was good, the food was good, and the atmosphere was relaxing. They have a full bar and clean toilets. We really enjoyed it! Thank you, The Bell!

Disgusting attitude and such a shame that Wetherspoons have taken beautiful buildings and turned into such a place where they wont let you order a drink to take to the garden because you have a dog. The same dog is allowed with you whilst dining at the Michelin star pub the Red Lion just 5minutes away. Needless to say I will never frequent a wetherspoon establishment again and will certainly persuade family and friends likewise

Called ahead in the morning to book a table for 7 people for lunch that day. On arrival no table had been reserved and we were offered a table outside (one of our party was 98 years old and it's October!). After waiting around we eventually got 2 tables. Ordered food and drinks, when the drinks came out the chap serving us refused to give my son his bottle of Cider as he had no ID. Firstly I purchased it, my son is 18 and the person serving us does not seem to fully understand the statutes of law for licensed premises. A thoroughly disappointing lunch trip in a very disorganized venue - worst wetherspoons I've ever been to.

Polite and speedy service. We arrived on a Sunday morning for breakfast, and ordering was a breeze, whereas in some other Wetherspoons we have not been able to make swaps with some items on the set breakfast, it was no trouble at all

Went on a Saturday night for food so was busy but got a table. Ordered a children's meal and a panini and chips both came out hot and tasty. Not enough chips on the adult meal imo. Also the staff didn't know the kids menu included a drink or the meal I chose did too, so had to advise as was going to be charged. Apart from that , nice place for dinner.

Went here for a quick lunch on a Saturday and wasn’t impressed. The chairs were all stained with (hopefully just) old beer and drinks. One of the gents toilets was covered in pee, another had dried vomit on the walls. The staff were friendly and helpful though. The pièce de résistance however was the cremated pizza I received for my son. Just gonna leave a picture of that here…

Had a very tasty gammon steak and jacket potato here today en-route to Torquay for five days. Service as usual was very good and staff very efficient.

Food and drink brought to the table very quickly. Food was very good, and seemed to be more on the plate than I've had at other Wetherspoons.

Couldn't find noisier pub if I tried! And that's just the staff smashing and throwing bottles in a bin all night and their totally miserableness while serving you. What a ghastly creation this pub is and the people that visit it.

A good spacious pub with a large outdoor seating area. The beer as usual is great value with a range of main brands and guest real ales. The food was fair, nicely cooked, simple and moderate portion sizes for the money. Unlike rivals, there were no deals on between 12:00 and 14:00, but still it was a good service and enjoyable put stop. Atmosphere is a little dark and dingy inside with a clear number of bar prop customers who were a little loud at times, overall a good pub I would visit again, but I feel there are other venues competing hard in this arena and nudging ahead on the feel especially inside.

We have spent many times in this restaurant and have spend a lot of money over the years but my last visit here has put me off ever returning. I walked in with my partner and we had our 2 well behaved dogs, we went into the beer garden which is located at the side of the pub. My partner went in and brought 2 cokes and had asked if they had any water for the dogs to which they told us they are not welcome here and we had to leave. By this point my partner had already brought the drinks. The lady on shift that day had came storming out saying no dogs allowed here and requested we left, after saying we had just brought drinks and needed to drink them she had refused us to drink them, so I said well you'll need to give a refund to which she also refused and offer us take away coffee cups. There was no signs at all stating that no dogs were allowed on site (in garden) and believe me I looked everywhere! Even pointed out that we had been in many of times and even seen dogs inside the building up at the bar. So she handed us a take away cup and stood there watching to make sure we didn't drink at the table and waited till we had left. Absolutely no customer service that day and the rudeness of the staff and made us feel like that experience has put us off ever returning. Shame on your staff especially the manager!

Ordered two large English breakfast, the waiter messed up our order gave our large breakfast to the other table and we received the small breakfast no mushroom nothing just really disappointed. Waited for the replacement for ages but only received one sausage and hash brown.

We always go to weathspons,if visiting,a different places as we like the style,an a good choice of food ,but there is a but unfortunately the food was ok but the half pint, long stems glasses do need a clean when served,I didn't not at first,but it was pointed out ,as I was enjoying my drinks,but that's was the only lowdown,ps Why did I not say ought , simples,,I did not what to spoil the day with a mone,and these days people can not take a criticism, 🙏

Muy mala experiencia, la carta dice que los platos incluyen bebidas y es mentira. Tengan cuidado es una estafa. Ordenamos dos almuerzos los cuales como pueden ver viene en la carta como parte del menú y cuando después de haber esperado media hora, volvimos a solicitar las bebidas y nos informaron que debíamos comprar por separado.
