The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Excellent in everyday. Very busy at 13.00hrs today but staff very welcoming & food very tasty. Will be visiting again for sure.

My room and furnishing was re really old heating was OK but the main arched window had a vertical was that wasn't sealed at all and single glazed. The result was a permenant huge cold air leak. The bathroom was tiny and filled with huge long bath. Hot water took many minutes to arrive. The bath had a pipe leading up fron the mixer taps then a pipe led out horizontally to a shower rose. Thus when opening the taps you'd get cold water on Your hair if you weren't careful. Bath water stagnated and took many minutes to drain away. The terrible window and glazing meant the noise from the road was bad. I did t think that places like were still allowed. It's certainly begs the question how they hotel keeps it's license. Breakfast was very good got and cold and the old place has plenty of character but .....

Burger and chips were very tasty but the price is too high and the atmosphere in the cavernous restaurant is pretty cold

Sat for 20 mins waiting to be served, as I left they noticed.

Visited for Sunday lunch with another couple. Food was so tasty. Roast beef was slightly pink and still tender. Great selection of vegetables. Cheesy cauliflower and broccoli was the best! Had blood orange sponge pudding which was so light and a great finish to a lovely meal. Will definitely be returning again soon. Make sure to book though as it is a very popular place.

Bloody lovely around, they will alter the menu as desired, i.e., fried eggs for scrambled. Would recommend 👌

Just popped in to get some chips, they were barely warm. Took the back on they have us another batch that were oy marginally warmer. The chips were all really small and thin too. Very disappointed. 3rd time we tried here will now definitely be the last.

Great fish and chips with really efficient, hardworking staff and good deals to keep the cost down.

While the food was very good. This Chinese all you can eat restaurant should be called the Chinese eat what the manager says you can eat restaurant .He came to our parties table with an aggressive and loud voice saying we had ordered to many dishes and to be aware of the £7a dish charge for uneaten food letting not just us but the whole know , so embarrassing and as a result members of our party left feeling hungry and at £25 per head this was not on . Will definitely never use this place again and could never recommend to anyone

We visit the Upton regularly, it’s our ‘local’ . Always a friendly welcome . We tend to just have a drink and crisps ! but the food looks great .

Only nipped in for one whilst passing. Had to change my partners glass as it was filthy.

Now Michelle and Jon have gone it's so much better
