Awesome pub/ restaurant. The food is amazing, and the service is great. So many beers, etc, to sample and always changing. Ps find the 🃏

An ok experience. Had the beef burger but unfortunately too much relish and had to leave most of it. Service was slow at the end of the night too. Felt forgotten. Husband had fish n chips and he enjoyed that.

We had a lovely meal here. Food was exceptional with a good selection of specials, very friendly staff and great selection of beers.

It's fantastic a lovely find. I don't really want to share it, but it's amazing.

Beautiful olde pub with great service and friendly staff.

Parking is bad with there only being about 5 spots, my family loved their meals but I had tacos & it was just a tortilla with filling.

The ship is an excellent pub here in Wadebridge, excellent food friendly and not over expensive, there are different areas suitable for dinning, family, and local peeps, all catered for in a nice friendly environment.

Randomly choose this pub whilst on holiday,wow,glad we did! This pub and food makes Padstow posh,overpriced eateries look like the England team,overrated,expensive and pretty poor at delivering the goods. Lovely ambiance,friendly staff and amazing food,all at a very reasonable price. If your on holiday this summer,book it.10/10!

lovely friendly bar staff. and food lovely and good value

We had not booked. We took a chance on a Sunday evening, hoping for a delicious roast. At 8pm, we were seated quickly, drinks and a tab sorted very promptly. Our beautiful dog was also made to feel very welcome, with treats offered free. The bar staff were absolutely fab, warm, welcoming, accommodating. My husband ordered Turkey roast, it was really lovely. I ordered the curry, my daughter ordered the meatballs. All meals were delicious. We tried local draught ales, knowing the prices, obviously not London prices, and we're not disappointed at all. We had a lovely evening, thank you to The Ship Inn, Wadebridge. We will be back.

Amazing food! Highly recommend! Very good value for price and we thoroughly enjoyed everything from the starters to desserts. Would definitely come back again! Make sure you leave a tip for the staff- they were super friendly and made us feel welcome, including our dog! :) chips were cook to perfection, pork belly was genius, fish was superb, dessert divine (sticky toffee pudding made in heaven)

We booked a reservation for Saturday evening, they were short staffed so a little wait to be seated (maybe 10 minutes at most) Once seated our drinks came quickly and so did the food. Our server was lovely and attentive. The food here was absolutely delicious, especially the belly pork starter, just incredible. Have attached some photos of meals we had. We would definitely return here. Many thanks to the chefs.

Has the charm and grace of a smalltown local pub, with upmarket food that tasted absolutely spectacular. I had the sea bass with the garlic mushrooms as a starter, and they both tasted immaculate. The music was great and helped sell the ambience, and the staff were polite, personal and charming. Absolutely great stop on my route, worth every penny.

We popped in here on business, absolutely superb meal, service was spectacular. Parking is very tight, but it's worth the effort.

We were recommended by our hotel....We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. It was a Monday night and it was packed which speaks volumes. I broke my rule of having a steak because I have had so many tough bad ones... This one was cooked to perfection and like butter to cut through... The staff are lovely and there is a warm and friendly atmosphere in the pub. Lovely puddings and we will definitely return next time we are in Wadebridge.

Always had good meals here. Would have previously given 4 or 5 stars. But tonight was lousy. Told there was a change in menu. Bleh

Managed to squeeze us in last minute over Easter,what a delight well worth another visit but the Easter cheese cake probably got the better of us next time we will have one between us overall a lovely atmospheric place 👍

Walked down from the Premier Inn and found a very friendly atmosphere with all the staff and helpful with advice of the food. A good selection of larger and ales.

Took my running club here (24 people) for a meal and drinks on a Friday night. Nothing fazed the staff, food was great and we could all pay separately. Kudos to the manager dude who was super helpful.

Came in for a Sunday roast and we were the second party through the door. The first was a party of 4 and we were a party of 2. Had to wait 1 hour for our food although it was pleasant when it did come out despite missing the advertised Savoy cabbage and bacon (we didn't raise this at the time as we'd waited so long for our food). Admittedly, we were 30 minutes early for our table so I don't know if that's why service was slow. I understand there was a larger group in the back too. The cost of the roasts is very good (just over £13 if I recall correctly). Parking was a bit of a pain as only a few tight spaces but we did get the last space. I understand we could have walked up the hill from town. I would try somewhere else before coming here again.

What a great pub! Everything you need, good beer and service and great food, and it even has some car parking!

Took my wife here last night for her birthday Can’t say we will be returning, We purposely try and go somewhere different each time we go out to support our local businesses, upon arrival we had to specifically ask to be served a drink even though it wasn’t very busy menu was served on a sheet of paper no issue but was wrote to be quite a extravagant selection of food setting hopes high for our meal choices I selected king prawns for starter this was really good setting the bar for a main however partner and her friend chose chorizo and wasn’t overly impressed, Also waitress's was not overly happy to be there or doing there job also having a conversation about our table after we didn’t get a chance to say thank you for the drinks we had been served, Next we ordered another drink and my partners half a glass was taken off the table without asking if she had finished Out came the main and looked pretty good However the triple cooked chips are not triple cooked at all and the burger was so dense I couldn’t even eat the whole thing making it non edible the partners meal was also not great neither was her friend pasta meal Took us nearly 45 mins to get the bill and this only happened because we went upto the bar on our way out £75 pound each it cost us after the bills was split and I believe for what we received this is very over priced for what I would call basic bar food

Really enjoyed our meal. Visited as a family and grandad. Lovely friendly people. Pretty impressed so looking forward to returning.

Booked very last minute for a Sunday lunch at 14:30. Didn’t realise the kitchen closed from 14:30-17:00 but the staff tried to call ahead to let me know this but I missed the call. When I arrived they were so accommodating and were still able to get us 2 fantastically delicious roasts. Friendly and helpful staff and outstanding food. Would definitely recommend

Had a nice experience at this pub, it’s massive inside, cosy clean and very friendly staff. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my food. I had the Chicken with bacon and hand cut chips, when the chicken came it tasted like it was microwaved, it tasted like pork, super tough and hard to chew. I asked them to change it as I couldn’t eat it, I got a risotto instead and unfortunately that was very bland no flavour what so ever. I won’t be returning for food but for the pub it’s lovely.

Went for Sunday lunch after reading reviews. Very disappointed, beef was tough,couldn't cut or chew. Veg served in bowl mixed together. Looked like what would have been scraped off plates . Not what we were expecting, but there we go

Had a lovely meal here and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had the cheese fondue to start and it was one of the best things I have ever tasted! If they made a mac and cheese with that cheese sauce I would travel the 5 hours back to try it. Our mains were also both very tasty, we were rather full from the cheese but the staff were more than happy to box up our leftovers. Thanks!

Visited this pub on numerous occasions over the years whilst holidaying in Cornwall. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and they are dog friendly. You may need to book a table so always check, if you are in the area would definitely recommend.

We booked a table for 2 for 6 p.m. When we arrived,we went to the bar and told the person who we were and he then asked if we wanted drinks before he picked up the menus and asked us to follow him to our table. We were told that he or a colleague would come and take our order shortly. Once our order had been taken. We only had a short wait. When the food arrived. We were impressed! We had gone for the set menu of starter, main meal and dessert. The starter was a good sized portion as was the main and dessert. The food was very tasty. The pub has a narrow walkway up to the dining area. It's just wide enough for one person. Once you are in the dining area there is about 8 tables. There was an additional seating area beyond the first dining area and there was a small beer garden. The staff were all very nice and polite. They all seemed very busy and very happy to help. There wasn't a huge wait between being served our food and the plates being cleared. Everything seemed to work really well and the tables were cleared quickly for the next customers. There wasn't a lot of space in the bar area but it was enough for the people wanting to stand and drink at the bar. There are toilets. There is a sign in the first dining room which points to where they are. As nobody in our party used them. I just know there are toilets in the Inn. We were staying at the local Premier Inn and because they couldn't book us in to their restaurant due to a lack of staff. We booked a meal at the Ship Inn. We certainly were glad we did. It certainly was Premier Inn 's loss The directions said that it would take about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel and it was exactly that! The Ship inn is a great eaterie and the staff definitely deserve recognition. A great evening.

Great atmosphere at the Ship, the staff couldn't be more attentive, Wednesday Pasta evening was excellent, the food was lovely, quality and quantity just right. Although it was a busy evening the staff worked so hard, personally I was sweating for them. Well done guys your hospitality skills definitely showed your commitment to the Ship. Definitely recommend, but please consider there is very little parking space, so shank's pony is a must.

Lovely old pub, excellent staff who really put themselves out for us. Proper locals place, good food and a fantastic atmosphere.

Terrible food every single portion of chips was soggy, my hake skin was slimy and the cod from the cod and chips was burnt but undercooked on the inside (clearly have the oil too hot) the cod also left a pool of oil on the plate, not very appealing. We had some charges removed by the waitress but couldn’t help feel out of pocket due to all of it being really quite terrible. There were so many things wrong with the dining experience here that I’d question if there was actually a qualified chef in the kitchen. The manager came over to offer his apology, I felt I had to point out these where basics that are pretty hard to mess up,he clearly didn’t like what I’d said as he then turned and walked off(clearly not a fan of constructive criticism. I will say though the area we were seated in was lovely and had a very nice atmosphere. I did like that they had David Attenborough on the tvs and not sports, I felt this gave a a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. It’s a real shame the food was so terrible especially as it was recommended by Friends.Needless to say we will never waste our money here again.

Food luke warm after waiting over 30 minutes for our food. Requested a table downstairs due to disability and we're seated upstairs. No comment made when we told them. Staff vaping behind the bar. Not good won't be back.

Excellent menu food was fantastic.

Had a cracking Sunday lunch today. I had the beef. Wife had the turkey. Trimmings were genuinely fantastic and the pea and cabbage concoction was amazing! Daughter's pasta seemed a little dodgy. I think the cheese sauce had perhaps split but it was very grainy and very garlicky. Luckily the adult Sunday lunch portions are good enough that she had stuff off our plates and we weren't exactly hard done by! Good selection of ales on tap. Prices for both food and drink were really good. Signed up to the "Kernow Hospitality App" whilst sat in there and received a welcome £5 off the bill. All told, a sharing starter, 2 adult Sunday lunches, a kids meal and 4 drinks for £55 is cracking value these days.

In a very busy bar with customers seated all along the bar, I was only able to approach it when a kind gentleman got off his stool to let me pass. Doom Bar wasn't available so I had a pint of a summer amber ale. To eat, I was led into a big, almost deserted restaurant area which was certainly peaceful. The small cod and chips was good but probably the smallest piece of cod I ever saw.

Nice little pub. Food is very good. Friday night special burger and a pint for £12 was excellent value. 3 course for £20 menu also good. Parking limited but walking distance from town car parks.

This one too try it was lovely especially the fondue lamb and the pudding tiramisu and panacotta which were a delight

This is a dog friendly pub and restaurant. We hadn't booked a table and went out of the way to organise one for us and advised the only table they had was booked for a party and we only had 1hr 30min to eat. The food was served very fast and the staff were very friendly

We came across this wonderful little gem today, amaaaaazing mixed grill, best I have had!!! (Forget wetherspoons it's bismal does not touch this) pasta was hearty with huge portions.... Bread and olive oil was fresh and flavorful (freshly made) 12/10. Great staff and service, this place is a must x

Most of us had roast as it came highly recommended but the hand made burger was also very very good ! Good price, great food, nice calm atmosphere. Will be back for sure on our next trip around Cornell !

Stayed in this area for food and bumped into this place for food with friends. Absolutely incredible food. The rib eye steak was well seasoned, cooked to perfection and was bursting with flavour. The peppecorn sauce was creamy and flavourful and the chips were out of this world. Definitely go to this place if you fancy a nice steak.

Was shown to our table by a lovely female waitress, very polite and kind. Food was also great, if your passing well worth a visit.

A little gem of a restaurant. We were greeted warmly by staff with a smile, shown to our table and given enough time to settle in before our orders were taken. A Sunday lunch and a sirloin steak with chips and the usual accompaniments was delivered in a good amount of time. Well, where do I start.... I think the steak. I asked for medium rare and boy did they deliver. This was perfectly cooked all the way across. Tasty and succulent with a good quality beef. They chef is talented, no doubt there. Good quality potatoes were used for the chips, Portobello mushrooms, vine cherry tomatoes, and a peppercorn sauce all added to the meal. Along with the pleasant staff was a quaint setting tastefully designed. There's even a log burner for those cosy gatherings. If I was forced to find the most modicum of faults it would be parking, however, this is due to the high standards set, so not a surprise that it was full. There is an option to park on the roadside though so not much of a quibble in fairness. To sum up.... Lovely staff, nice setting, and beautifully cooked food. I would highly recommend this place. I look forward to visiting again.

Dropped off in as it was a CAMRA recommended pub. So disappointed - rude service & unsmiling service at the bar. We felt very unwelcome.

Went here for NYE and had a blast with my girlfriend and dog, we entered and immediately felt warm and closey! We struggled to get a table but we mad do with the side of the bar, (there was room to put a few more tables out) they had a singer on who was out of this world, fair play to him. (Tom cooper) prices not to bad and and good variety of drinks. Over all nice good little pub defo go again
