Conveniently situated next to the highway. Plentiful free parking. Super-friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. The biggest downside was awful wi-fi. The free version was poor and the payable 'ultimate' version no better. So much as we saw many pluses, if we have no wi-fi we can't work, so can't really come back.

Very standard premier inn, but the door leading from reception to the rooms isn’t a slow close so literally every single person coming or going and the door slams shut. When one is in a hotel the last thing you want to hear all night is a door slamming shut

Per Liskard meet all expectations if not more the rooms are good with the option to upgrade to a plus as it was just myself and my boyfriend the hotel is going through changes that doesn’t seem to affect the staff. They always still provide a top-notch service and credits to the company, the hotel is in a short distance to a supermarket and a shopping outlet and is still very central for lots of things that we got to do while we were there

A limited menu. Asked for a pint of lime and soda and a pint of blackcurrant and soda. The waiter said they didn't have soda, but suggested lemonade instead, which we accepted. When we had finished our bland food and got the bill, we found that the charge for each drink was £3.25 for the lemonade and £1.85 for the shot of cordial!!! We stayed at a different P Inn as part of the same holiday and paid £1.20 for a pint of lime and soda. How can there be such a huge discrepancy for the same drinks with the same company.???When we queried the price the barman laughed!! What a rip off! Avoid at all costs

Had an unpleasant stay here August 2024 because we decided to leave our room halfway though a four night stay after my partner was bitten on his face several time overnight on our first night staying at Premier Inn Liskeard. Possible bed bugs but this was not proven. Room unclean and complaint not handled to our satisfaction. Our request for refund for night not stayed there not unreasonable. Guest Relations at Premier Inn not a priority, clearly. Most of the local staff were helpful. Has put me off Premier Inn.

Rooms were lovely, Unfortunately massive issues with the Liskeard tavern food. I was booked in for breakfast, and tea for my 3 day stay. The 1st 2 days I had to send my food back as it was under cooked. The 3rd day the restaurant was shut due to technical issues with the till.. Apparently they were unable to proceed without the till despite my meal already being paid for. I work nights, and had to go to work hungry all week. The breakfast was good and the lady from the midlands on front of house was lovely. But very disappointing and still no one has contacted me from the customer service department 😞

This is a lovely pub and restaurant. Staff are really helpful and friendly. This is going through a change at the minute with premier inn taking it over to serve onsite guests only. When we went they had no stock and food options seriously limited. Fine if you like burgers or salad buteven these were limited. It's a shame to see what is happening here with the staff and changes. Food we did manage to get was nice and tasty. This could be a really nice place to eat.

We have stayed in a lot of Premier Inn in the couple of months and have been impressed with the Premier Plus and the new design of the standard rooms, but the standard rooms in this location are still waiting to be refurbished so are looking very tied and dated. As always, the rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. The Premier Inn is located next to the busy A38, and even with the triple glazing, you can still hear vehicles through the night.

Visited many times but this time not good. Turning into a truck stop with three huge lorries parked outside on private road and car park. Very noisy early morning leaving engines running for ages. Staff shortage turned restaurant into shambles. Kids messing up breakfast buffet dropping utensils and replacing in food containers which for the most part were left empty. Ten minute wait for bacon to be replaced by which time food on plate gone cold. No pastries or orange juice no side plates. Will never bother with restaurant again if we should decide to risk this long frequented hotel. Pity really have always enjoyed it.

Typical Premier Inn with average rooms that are dated and tired. Windows in some rooms can be opened, some cannot. The WiFi is not great which is a problem since there isn't any phone signal, certainly EE and Vodaphone. The attached restaurant is standard Whitbread fayre, the food is ok but the bar and kitchen are really slow if there's a few people in. The restaurant is too big for the staff capacity to handle. You need to book a table for dinner if you want table service. Staff are helpful and friendly.

I'm a regular customer of Premier Inn but this time around I was very disappointed about cleaning, furniture and God knows what else. Turned the water on the bath and black stuff came of the draining, then looked on the walls and notice lots of hair above the bath, at high level on the tiled walls. Went in the room and I've had a closer look at the furniture beds also with plenty of dirty spots. Highly recommend to STAY AWAY!!!

Stay in a LOT of premier inns all over the UK and you always know what you're guna get. That's why I like them. But the one thing you always get that I'm getting tired of is the extremely poor WiFi speed. I know you want me to buy the premium but come on!!!! Who is willing to pay for WiFi in 2024!? You get better free WiFi with a coffee than with a hotel room? That doesn't make sense. You need to change this ASAP premier Inn or I'm going to have to start avoiding your hotel's. As after a long day at work all I want to do is watch something online and relax. Just saying, as I'm sure this sentiment is shared by many of the other men and women that use your hotels as their home on week days. And I'm sure we make up a large number of your customers, so please do something about it soon and bring your WiFi up-to-date.

He said he'd check. 15 minutes later, despite walking past me a few times he ignored me. So I asked a female member of staff to check. She said she would, but done exactly the same, got on with her job and ignored me. So I waited at their booking desk for over another ten minutes, then the first member of staff came to check the diary. Not, we dont he said. No apology what so ever!!! Aweful treatment.

Called in for a quick lunch on Sunday, arrived early and was shown to a table, we ordered food and drink quickly. Drinks arrived and then food minus the side order which we had to wait for. Then that was it NO more communication, or service from any waitress we was left to it. Noone asked if we wanted any sauces with our meal, noone did a courtesy check. Which I think is pretty poor. We sat there when we finished and sat there. Noone came and cleared our plates, noone asked if we wanted a dessert menu. And I would say they were not very busy. I even had to get up and walk over to the till to ask to pay. Which the staff were still talking to each other while processing my transaction. There was not even a question asked 'if everything was ok'. Just "you waiting to pay". I will certainly will NOT be returing to this tabletable it is not a patch on the St Austell place. If fact liskeard is a disappointment to the chain. The staff need to be much more attentive, alert and more helpful.

I have eaten here many times with my husband and we are always pleased with the food and service. Our favourite dishes are chicken escalope. Fish and chips or gammon egg and chips. We have had vouchers come through in the post 40% off two main meals which makes dining here very reasonable. The toilets are located up a flight of stairs which would make it difficult for people with reduced mobility. I’m not sure if they have a toilet on the ground floor for disabled access.

Let’s just check:Complimentary hair in food ✔️Hair not limited to just one dish ✔️Sloppy joe not so sloppy ✔️Dirty fries not dirty (no spice at all) ✔️Same BBQ sauce used for most dishes ✔️Wafer thin chicken used for most dishes ✔️If you love Iceland food and don’t mind paying £12 a dish, then head on down here.

Well my last review for this restaurant was poor and deservedly so as I had to send both courses back, so we were in two minds whether to give it another go. However birthday voucher arrived so booked a table for a Sunday lunch. Arrived and as usual it is a busy restaurant. The chap at front of house was seating others and it was not long and he introduced himself and apologized for the wait, although can only have been a couple of minutes. Noted my request as birthday meal and for quiet table so he directed us to the quieter end rather than be with families which was very considerate. He introduced himself as Ollie and he is the new Manager, our waitress was Sophie who was excellent. We had a lovely meal and the service and food was very good. The chef was very obliging and friendly. On this day the Manager was working very hard and the staff seemed happy and it looked well staffed, from the other comments I have just read is there another team that are not performing as well? I can honestly say well done Whitbread for bringing in Ollie he was such a smart, courteous young man who seemed to have the respect of the staff and they were all willing to do their jobs well. This is a Manager who is showing by example, but obviously he cannot be working 24/7 so clone him!!!!

I was staying in the adjoining Premier Inn so decided to eat at the Liskeard Tavern, for convenience. Big mistake. I thought I'd keep things simple & opted for cottage pie. After an interminable wait the pie arrived. How could they get something so wrong? It was deeply unpleasant. Save your money and go to the Morrison's cafe, no idea what it's like but it couldn't possibly be worse! Tellingly there were no check-backs from the waiting staff & even on payment for the meal I wasn't asked for feedback! They're probably fed up with the negative comments!

Our local pub/ restaurant and our first choice for going out on any occasion. We've been as a couple and as a big group with extended family and they've always catered for our needs. Sometimes it gets very busy, but they've always let us know if there's likely to be a delay in service. Our last visit was with a group of 10, with 4 toddlers, and Kelly was charming and attentive and the meal a pleasure as always. Thanks.

Took advantage of a 40% off msins offer to eat here. We have not visited for a while due to issues with speed of service but this has greatly improved, due in no small part to our very good waitress Heather. Food was good - although I would hve liked more vegetarian options.

Will start off by saying WELL DONE Table Table, we havent visited here for awhile as in the last two occasions we had been very disappointed not only in the food but in the service we had received. We had received notification of a new menu and 40% of main meals so we decided to try again, and we were very pleasantly surprised, Kelly our waitress was so lovely, she was attentive but not oppressive. The new menu is very good, when it arrived the food looked good was hot and tasted really good. I can highly reccomend the surf and turf burger. We will definitely be returning.

We are off work for a few days and after working in the house, we decided that we were hungry. So we changed our clothes and popped up to the Liskeard Tavern. They had a table available and we were served with our drinks, immediately. Kelly then came up to take our food order, we had calamari and garlic flatbread to start, followed by lamb and feta burger for me and chicken and avocado burger for Rich. The starters came out quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed them and just chatting to each other. Kelly then came out and apologised about our wait for our main course, but we had just remarked to ourselves about not having to rush our food! The mains came out shortly and our burgers were delicious. Kelly was very attentive and friendly, who was also dealing with 5/6 tables. Good night out!

We have been having our Sunday lunch quite regularly. As our last experience in St tudy changed management and had different ideas What the ship has for us is the vegetarian Wellington, not found anywhere in the local area. What the ship lacks (in the retro pub refurb in inverted comers ) is the friendly welcome and a feeling of a local establishment that leaves it's welcome where it matters hospitality and food.

Went last Xmas Eve as a treat. Was appalled. The sprouts were undercooked, not to be confused with el Dante. Tasteless dinner sadly. No flavour. Not great. You go to these places paying good money expecting a superb experience but sadly not. I need to stay home and cook top food that could be served to any experienced chef and applauded
