The chips were really nice and so were the staff, very nice. Superchips is also a cool name and there’s a lil chip drawing with a cape on the door

My mother's funeral reception was held at Stanshawes in February. Paul and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout. Thanks to their efforts we were able to organise a wonderful celebration of her life, surrounded by all her friends and family in a warm and convivial environment, for which we are all very grateful.

Took my wife & children for lunch. We sat in the extra seating side as the main side was full. Extra seating side was getting quite busy as well. Found a table to suit us & chose from the menu, only to be told I would need to go into the main side to order as the counter in our side was not in use. On waiting in a long queue & getting to the till area, I was told that the smaller plates menu on the tables was not in use. I then had to go back to the table to allow the children to choose something different. My wife then asked a member of staff passing our table why they are not doing smaller plates for the children on the main menu, who then returned with the same smaller plates menu that we had been told they were not using. My wife told the member of staff that we had not been asked if it was for the children.We felt that we had been overlooked by our age and having foster children. We were then told that we could order from the smaller plate menu . My wife then said that it would not be good enough to have to queue again and the staff member got another staff member to place our order at the “not in use” till. Once we did manage to order, the food then took another 45 minutes to arrive. This is a place we have used many times, but the service we received today was shambolic and we feel that we were judged by our ages with children.

Cracking sausage and chips... And having a fussy vegetarian daughter, she had the burger and it was lovely. Highly recommended.

Fabulous birthday lunch with family. Food was perfect, all fresh and was a really nice atmosphere. Staff were lovely, very attentive without being intrusive. Good value for money, clean and welcoming. Will definitely return

A lovely tea room with excellent attentive staff with very good memories as welcome and greet visitors from all over the country on holiday that revisited Coasters. Make their customers very welcome new and old from previous summers they recognise on entry. Great coffee and very good food with selection to suit everyone. Wishing you all the very best, you deserve it.

I don't think I've ever been to a cafe where I have been made to feel so unwelcome! The sign on the door said to wait to be seated. The waitress came over and asked if we wanted food, we said we just wanted cake and a cup of tea. She sat us down, gave us a menu and walked off without saying anything. We assumed the cakes would be on the menu as she didn't say otherwise. She returned 10-15 minutes later to take our order, I asked about the cakes as they weren't on the menu, she said she didn't know what they had as they changed all the time and we would have to go over and browse ourselves. She then walked off again and left us. I did go up and tried to memorise which cakes they had. Eventually, she came back again, and took our order. A couple of ladies sat near us, the same waitress went over. One of the ladies asked about the cakes and she reeled off what cakes they had!!! We then had to wait for our order, which took another 15 minutes. Although the cake was good the visit had been spoilt. The whole point of our visit was to try out the café, for future visits and to look to take friends. On the way home we popped into Merkin’s Farm Café to see what that was like. Although I was only looking, I was greeted with a lovely friendly smile, he couldn’t have been any more welcoming and friendly. I will not be returning to Wadswick and will most definitely be returning to Merkins!

We came here a few times while in the area and I was really impressed with the options. The vegetarian sausage roll and gluten free vegetarian sausage baps were both lovely. The gluten free vegan brownies are heaven too

We had a wonderful evening here, the food was made to really high standards. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Joined in the quiz which was fun and entertaining. We stayed in our camper on the car park. Will definitely be re visiting in the summer. Thank you.

When we visit Yate we always like to go to Boswells the food is always lovely and the staff are always helpful. They have plenty of staff and they all seem to be happy in their work. Tables are always cleaned and when observing I see that the staff are always on hand to help people that need a hand taking drinks to their tables and anything they need. The restaurant has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and I liken it to a community meeting place. Lovely tasty food well cooked with a great choice and always a welcoming smile from the staff, which makes a huge difference to feeling welcome. Thank you to all I look forward to our next visit. We held my Mothers wake here today. Shaun and the staff were fantastic. The spread they did along with tea and coffee was excellent. Providing take away boxes at the end as well. I can't thank them enough, everybody enjoyed the food and the surroundings.

The food is simply lovely. Beautifully presented. Fresh and extremely good value. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Everywhere is clean and tidy. Lovely atmosphere. Have visited a few times and have enjoyed each and every one.
