oh my gosh, whilst holidaying in the area, we were keen to find a pub (other than where we were staying) for the England Euro's Semi Final. Although packed the landlady found us space and we were served with great home cooked traditional pub grub. And then we were accommodated further by a great view of the TV to watch the match with free half time nibbles and a great atmosphere. What a brilliant traditional pub, landlady and staff. We couldn't thank you enough for a great evening

**"A True Community Hub – Excellent Service and Atmosphere at The Plough Inn"** We are local and have watched this pub change hands many times, however, we are delighted to have Karen, Mark, and the team. We run a local football club and have used the pub as our Home Base after games and have hosted our medal presentation events there for the past two seasons. Karen and Mark look after the football team very well and have sponsored the club - this will be the third year running. The players love to visit and will even visit on non-match days - they are all fans of the cheesy nachos, chips, burgers and I have been told, their All Day Breakfast is very nice. The lads also enjoy the reasonably priced beverages - not to mention Sky Sports is always on, which they enjoy. For Avon Valley FC - it is fantastic to see what was always meant to be a 'Community Pub' actually being one and attracting new faces week on week. The pub is dog friendly (we sometimes bring our furry club mascots). Spacious car park and the landlords keep a beautiful garden. In a time when hospitality has faced so many challenges, it is fantastic to see The Plough recover and thrive, rather than becoming a block of flats in what is a beautiful part of the village.

This spot was discovered by chance and has been visited about three times, the food wasn't bad ( hence the 3 visits), the pricing isnt bad, the ambience is okay if you are a pool lover they got you! As far as pub meals go, they pushed the envelop a notch with their quality the portion could be increased though but it's not bad at all

This is a lovely pub, Karen and Mark are fantastic hosts and we received a wonderful welcome. The staff are great and even the locals are friendly and welcoming. Prices are great compared to our local pubs. The garden is lovely too. Facilities are great for wheelchair users too and I loved that dogs are welcomed and catered for with towels by the entrance to clean and dry any wet or muddy paws with water bowels and treats offered by the staff. We will definitely be visiting the Plough again soon.

A wonderful welcome for everyone. Karen and Mark are wonderful hosts, staff and regulars are welcoming to everyone and the whole atmosphere is very friendly. I love that dogs are just as welcome as people. The no standing at the bar rule is a great idea and one more pubs should adopt as it encourages people to sit and talk. The pub and lovely garden are wheelchair accessible big thumbs-up from me for that and my Pops loves the pints of Doombar. Will absolutely be visiting the Plough Inn when we are down that way again. A special mention for dog lovers as there are towels just inside the door for wet or muddy paws and we were treated to a visit from a lovely little doggy regular who was quite happy to sit so we could give her a fuss and one of the staff came over with a dog treat. It's a shame more pubs aren't this welcoming and friendly.

Awfully managed, dirty toilets, overly priced drinks and pathetic atmosphere. The regulars are allowed to do what they want and get away with it which makes the pub unbearable. I won't be returning again.

Turned up with no booking as a party of 11. The manager was telling me they’ve been there for only 11 months. Our experience was great. Couldn’t have been more welcoming. We had 3 very young children, and an 8 year old. Manager sorted us a huge box of mixed pens/pencils and plenty of paper to doodle on. Her daughter was mainly cooking and managed to get all our meals out in a timely manner (other guests also around) presented nicely, and all hot. The food is cheap and cheerful, portion sizes were plentiful. Didn’t look closely enough from an allergy point of view, but I believe they would do their best to cater for you if you spoke to them. The place was nice and clean. They currently don’t have baby change facilities, but something they are hoping to sort in the near future- again, let me use the private office to change- offered to get me clean towels etc. so I’d just say, take a little change mat with you and be no issues. The drinks were well priced - I think it was 12.50 for a pint of Guinness, pint of fruit cider and 2x cokes. Food was 39.50 - this was 4x adult meals, a kids meal and a side. Don’t think you can complain at that price. Wish them best of luck in building the pub up, we’d definitely return as a meeting spot. Raining on our visit but could see a nice little garden space which would be lovely in the sun. Had a pool table and dart board in the back room which seemed popular.

I was hoping a pub up in the "old" part of Durrington would be nice but this is a pretty grim place. There are giant TV screens in all the bars, and the decor is extremely basic verging on non-existent. There is no food available. The bar staff were lovely and the beer is cheap but the atmosphere is not good, this isn't anywhere you'd want to spend a lot of time.

We popped in here for an evening bite and a drink. What a mistake that was! We walked in and the place was almost deserted but we stayed anyway. A scruffy man that looked like he had been in a recent fight took our orders for drinks and, after a while, came to see what we fancied to eat. He became quite impatient when we asked about the menu and seemed a little stressed and uncomfortable when we questioned about where the produce was sourced and if it was local. We only asked as an ice breaker and conversation maker, given that we were the only two people in there other than him, but he curtly replied that if we wanted to interrogate him about where he got his supplies from then perhaps we should go elsewhere to eat. I was very offended and asked to speak to the manager and he informed us that he was the landlord "and I dont want business like yours" Well, never have we been spoken to like that before and needless to say, we left, never to return.

To be honest I was surprised to come on here and see some quite bad reviews for this place. We visited for an early dinner with our young family. The venue was quirky, imaginative and interesting. Great for our little children as there was lots to look at- big printed posted of fruits and vegetables and a great garden to explore which loops all the way around the pub restaurant. It really is a beautiful spot to enjoy. We were served by, who we assume, must have been the manager/owner. She was great. On it and prompt. Made great recommendations. The younger two servers were a little lacking in knowledge of items on the dishes- we overheard a male server tell a customer that pieces of romanesco were tender stem broccoli and that 'he doesn't argue with the chef' and the young female server came over to do our order when it was already done. Easily done and at least they were both polite and trying their best. The menu offers local produce, interesting flavour combinations and nice portions. The highlight for us was the ice Crean sundaes- we shared 3 between us and loved the combination of flavours and textures. We loved it, would recommend it and would love to return when next in the area. Thank you.
