We came to Wilton for an evening for pizza, can’t fault the pizza and location however, not happy when the bill came. I don’t like it when a service charge is added without my permission. I want to add my own charge if I believe it is deserved. When I asked for the charge to be removed I felt tension from one of the servers who did not come to the table with my new bill. I did leave extra but it has to be on my terms not the terms of the location.

Great Food, Great service. Negative is that menu doesn’t change that much and no option for kids, we do go there very often, probably the only place we recommend

When we pull into the car park on a Wednesday evening in mid September we did not expect what we saw , the outside area was bouncing with people enjoying drinks and food under a big heated tent/ canopy. When booking in I was handed a small brown sealed bag which later on when opened was the best chocolate cake we both said have tasted. In the restaurant we both went for the pie having been lots of people having outside earlier which was huge and tasted amazing. Rooms were lovely with everything you could need. Definitely will be back in the future

I had an incredible time celebrating with a group of friends here on Saturday evening (08/09/24). I booked a large table and with all the hustle and bustle of catching up with people, I expected the evening to be slightly chaotic but I felt so at ease as we were made to feel so welcome here. Our tables were well looked after by Harriette, Hattie and Lola and I want to say a huge thank you to the three of them for making it so special and so memorable. They really went the extra mile! Our drinks orders arrived promptly (despite there being around twenty of us) as did our food. Not a single order was missed or wrong - the communication between all team members must have been top notch. All I’ve heard from friends since is how good the pizza was, and all are keen to return. I would highly recommend if you want a chilled celebration with great food, drinks and service. Thank you again to the team!

Lovely place, shocking service. Stopped in for a quick birthday lunch with my daughters, 1st drink came out ok and the food we ordered, but the deserts were completely forgotten and the staff member looking after our table started gardening while we were still waiting. In terms of compensation we weren't charged for the deserts we hadn't received or the discretionary service charge. Wasn't even busy.

Absolutely fantastic pub! A massive carpark with really interesting decor both in and outside. They had a decently stocked bar, with some local tipples. The food was absolutely fantastic, some of the best I've had in a long time. They had bar snacks, a proper gastro pub menu as well as Nole pizzas (as does every pub in Salisbury it seems!). On Fridays they also have a BBQ menu which sounded incredible! The outside seating area had a huge section under cover and had a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Lovely looking building and location. Our room was excellent with lots of really nice touches. Breakfast included was also excellent, with a large choice. Now for the reason I didn't give 4 or 5 stars, the restaurant food was awful. The Sunday roasts should be taken off the menu. It was just pure fat. We refused to pay for the food and so did many other customers who were there. Even the staff said it was a very bad. My conclusion, we would definitely stay there again but we wouldn't use the restaurant for dinner again.

The customer service we received was outstanding; staff were friendly, helpful and extremely attentive throughout our stay. The food was excellent too, Guests have a number of options from pizza, steak, pies. I enjoyed a fantastic steak with white chocolate cheesecake and raspberry sorbet for pudding. Delicious. The decor is tasteful throughout the venue and finished to a high standard. Our room was small, but had everything we needed including air conditioning. Homemade brownies in the room a nice touch. Breakfast was included in the room rate and, as was everything, excellent. Thanks for making this a lovely stay.

We visited the Pembroke Arms last Sunday evening. We had driven from Salisbury to Cardiff earlier that day to visit an ill relative in hospital, and were on our way back that evening, feeling very tired and hungry and wondering what our options were at nearly 8pm. We were about 15 minutes away from Wilton and the Pembroke Arms popped into our minds. We'd had amazing pizza there before and had heard great things about the pies, so called to check what time the kitchen closed. 8pm - we were so disappointed, we couldn't get there in time! We needn't have worried - the wonderful John said that he was happy to take our order over the phone as they still had some orders to work through before the kitchen closed. I ordered chicken and gammon pie and my sister ordered fish & chips. We arrived (the festoon lights outside were beautiful and so welcoming!) and were shown straight into the warm, to a lovely inside table. Our food arrived a few minutes later and I exaggerate not when I say that this was literally the best pie I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was absolute soulfood and exactly what I needed to eat at that moment, I can't really describe how happy that plate of food made me! We didn't really talk much through dinner, we were both so intent on enjoyment of that beautiful meal - it made a long day infinitely better. The service was wonderful too, as were the surroundings. I rarely leave reviews but we were both so completely happy on leaving the Pembroke Arms that evening that I promised myself I would make time to leave a review. Thank you John and all the staff there (particularly whoever makes and cooks the pies!). We will, of course, be back again soon.

Completely recommended. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming, helpful. From the moment you arrive they welcome you with small details such as a portion of freshly made brownie for each one with a bottle of milk, mineral water, various types of tea, instant chocolate coffee... and you will find this replenished every day of your stay, even the chocolate brownie, which was delicious! The room is somewhat small but with all the comforts, adequate temperature and a good duvet. It is an old building adapted to today's improvements. Ah!! And the breakfast...very good! Varied, they prepare typical breakfasts with several options, as well as pastries, cereals and natural fruit salad, juices...etc. We have had dinner there too and it is also good! Both the pizza, which they make, and the rest of the dishes we ate. I would love to come back if I come to this area again :)

This lovely old building gave us a lunch my husband described as 'superb'. Reluctant to eat out owing to an alergic reaction to black pepper, it is literally years since he has enjoyed a restaurant experience this much. I had the mushroom soup, utterly delicious, we both had the stroganoff, which was amazing, and my husband had sticky toffee pudding with icecream. The dessert was so perfect I had 'pudding envy', too full to share in eating it. I left with one goal - persuade my man we need to move to Wilton.

An independent pub chain that takes coffee and customers experience seriously. While visiting family in Wiltshire I stayed at 2 of the Chickpea pubs. The second was the Pembroke Arms. As charming as the first pub, this venue has a huge offering. A stunning barn with giant disco ball, wooden seating and cocktail bar, outdoor tent, dedicated pizza room and a beautiful restaurant. Garden area with bar will open again in the summer. The pizza was out of this world, and the Sunday roast, well. I'm unsure I'll ever have a better one. My room was large, clean, filled with proper coffee and each day restocked with homemade brownies. A perfect night's sleep with quality breakfast. There's lots to do in the area and eagerly awaiting a return visit.

The Pembroke Arms is a lovely pub restaurant on the access road into Wilton. There is plenty of car parking but on a rainy weekday lunchtime if you haven't been before it's not then immediately obvious as to how to access the restaurant. Once inside it was lovely and warm with log fires and welcoming staff we found a short but well considered set option alongside an a la carte menu which we chose to eat from. One ate a fabulous beef pie available with mash, gravy and crushed peas and the other a crisp and delicious haddock and chips with crushed peas. Both were pipping hot and great to eat. We then had a piece of tiramisu cheesecake eat which was also delicious (but annoyingly served on a piece of paper, which made it quite hard to eat) Would definitely go back and would absolutely recommend

The Pembroke Arms Hotel has a wonderful lounge which is, normally, a quiet space for a Friday drink. But, beware, if there are groups of young parents with very young children, this place of peace becomes quite, quite different. You have been warned. We live locally and drive past the Pembroke Arms regularly. They update the chalkboard outside every day to advertise the latest meal, so we were tempted in one Sunday with the promise of ‘Juicy Beef and Crispy spuds’. They 100% delivered on that promise - my husband and I both had the 50/50 option of lamb and beef accompanied by lovely fresh veg, yorkies, and a delicious gravy, washed down by a couple of Bloody Marys with the genius addition of freshly grated horseradish. Scrumptious. So a couple of weeks later, we were sheep-crooked in with another chalkboard promise of a haunch of venison. I can quite honestly say this is one of the best meals I have ever had. Perfectly cooked pink venison, served with buttery chanterelles, roast green squash, seasoned kale, a silky butternut squash purée and a fantastic gravy. Absolutely faultless and lip-smacking my good from the Chickpea team. We’ve been away the last few weekends, so I can’t wait to get back to have this dish again, if possible. We’ve also been lucky enough to enjoy the yummy sourdough pizzas at Nole in the barn for a few years - I truly think the outdoor BBQ and drinks area are a fantastic addition in the summer, and I’m just so pleased we have such a great place to eat a few miles from where we live. A couple of photos added of the Sunday roast and the venison, but I’d half scoffed the meal by the time I remembered - sorry about that! Hopefully a sign of how good it is!

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as friends had been before so took my boyfriend and our friends for his birthday, all the starters were fab, we had scotch eggs (best I’ve tasted), smoked trout rillette and smoked mackerel pate. Mains were burgers, well caramelised on the outside, slightly pink in the middle, very tasty meat so lovely. My sister had the beef pie and I had the chicken, gammon and leek pie, unfortunately when our pies arrived they were lukewarm at best and the pastry was soft - not crispy. I asked if they could possibly be heated up and the waitress was very apologetic and said that they would be 15 minutes which was a shame as the boys would be eating before us but I didn’t want to not have a hot meal. Pies arrived for the second time and were hot and crispy. The beef pie was very tasty but the chicken pie to me had a strange flavour - the sauce was almost thick and cheesy? Ham/gammon was tasteless so I didn’t enjoy it much. The mash was also lumpy so at £21/22 per pie sadly I was a bit disappointed as was told they are renowned for their home made pies so I was expecting something a bit special. 2 cocktails were free on our bill in lieu of the pies having to be reheated which was a appreciated, but just a shame as it didn’t live up to the hype.

Pembroke arms is als restaurant een pub restaurant van behoorlijke kwaliteit. Als hotel is het zeer gedateerd en toe aan renovatie. Het bed is goed, alle verf op kozijnen en muren bladdert. The homemade pies are awesome. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was also of a high quality.

We were visiting friends who live in Westbury and they had booked a table for us all to have Sunday lunch. First of all the welcome we received was excellent, our food and drinks order was taken by a very attentive member of staff. Unfortunately what followed was not so great. My wife decided on the fish and chips and her meal was excellent and we couldn’t fault it.Unfortunately three of us selected the roast sirloin of beef, when it arrived it looked great pink how I like it but on trying to cut it, it was very rubbery. all three of us agreed it wasn’t satisfactory. The waitress suggested bringing us sharper knives, we said that it shouldn’t need this with which she took the food away to be cooked longer without asking if we would like to re select . As I have stated my wife’s meal was fine but she had to eat hers whilst we waited for ours to be cooked longer and she felt awkward eating whilst we waited for ours. When the food reappeared it looked overcooked my beef had curled, the roast parsnips looked boiled not roasted, the carrots were grey and hadn’t been topped and tailed. All three of us left the majority of our food and to be honest when we asked for the bill we weren’t charged for the three roast dinners having mentioned that we were disappointed with the quality. We did pay for my wife’s meal as I said was excellent. I know we weren’t charged for the meals that weren’t satisfactory and my wife’s meal was fine hence the review.

We live a few hours away so only visit occasionally but we love it every time we get there. Tony, Pat and Jayne provide epic homemade food and real ale straight from the barrel. Not to be missed…
