The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Cheap tasting drinks and greasy food, makes Sids cafe from only fools and horses look like a 5 star establishment. Will not be going back! Better food in a classier establishment available five minutes further down harbour road at The Point.

On a cold February we called in to Arlesford after visiting The Grange. We thought that we just wanted a sandwich but were tempted by the 6oz cheese burgers at only £6.00. They proved to be the largest burgers we have ever had and were supplied by the local butcher. They were well cooked and tasty, the service was excellent, the ladies were chatting to everyone who came in and obviously have a great local trade. At £16 for two burgers and two teas we thought it great value. We’d definitely come again.

Quick decision Sunday roast which just blew us away. Amazing! Really lovely beef with all the trimmings included. Parsnips, cauliflower cheese, carrots and roast potatoes perfect. Probably the best in Folkestone. We will be back for sure.

Lovely bakery/cafe. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely lady serving. Delightful service. Excellent freshly ground coffee. My husband’s favourite place for freshly filled rolls.

We had not been to the Tea Room for over three years and were delighted to find it is homely as ever, with good tea and delicious cakes, all provided at bargain prices. This is a real gem.

I have been here quite a few times on my daily commute and whilst waiting for my order, saw the sticker to rate them on TA. I thought to myself ‘self, let’s rate them!’ I always order a bacon and egg roll for breakfast. I’m always asked if the roll should be buttered, any sauce and whether the egg is set or runny. These morning treats set me up for the day and it is difficult to find a better bap. These morning treats ladies are always friendly and chatty and will give this the highest recommendation possible. Thank you! 😊

An absolute local gem. I've bought two of my children in and it was lovely. The staff are a credit and the food is so tasty. I look forward to returning ☺️

Was on the way to McDermotts in Selsdon but traffic so bad decided to try this place. Not in the same league. Batter & chips pretty poor and not a good idea to rely on bigger portions to cover the shortcomings. Overall, 5/10.

We thoroughly enjoyed the honeycomb icecream , it had huge chunks of honeycomb you will never find elsewhere! AND the signature Amaretto flavour is just right, just enough flavour without being too strong. This little shop is perfectly located near the beach, train, fair & car parks. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Look forward to our next visit .

This is a lovely little bakery that is definitely doing its best within the latest Covid-19 restrictions. The freshly prepared rolls are prepared to order to ones choice and are of good quality and a good price. Recommended. Enjoy.

Great spot for a little family lunch. Sandwiches & cakes are delicious, nice surroundings & friendly staff. There’s also a box of books for kids to amuse themselves with. Not inexpensive but lovely for a treat.

Have been goin to sandwichland for past 15 yrs. Coffee is lovely... Alex does a special blend. Food is always on point. Its always a pleasure to visit and i try to go as often as possible for a welcoming service, great food and coffee.

Un pánico de última hora de 8 amigos buscando un lugar para tomar algo de comida y una bebida. Todo sucede por una razón y ahora puedo garantizar que volveremos. ¡Qué pub tan agradable en un entorno encantador! La comida era realmente a un precio razonable, así que tengo que decir que pensé lo peor, pero tenía hambre. Cuando la comida empezó a salir me di cuenta de que no tenía nada de qué preocuparme. Todo estaba arreglado con cuidado y atención y todo estaba caliente. No es una mala comida entre nosotros. Todos limpiamos nuestros platos. Normalmente no tomo fotos de mi almuerzo, pero el esfuerzo que se hizo para hacer esta ensalada de gambas y aguacate fue increíble. Puedo decirte que también sabía tan bien como parecía. También tuvimos un cumpleaños en nuestro grupo y todo el pub se unió con la canción de cumpleaños. En general una experiencia encantadora y siento que he encontrado una joya de un lugar.

Friendly service and beautiful, affordable clothes and accessories. This is really a little boutique worth visiting.
