This is a pure hidden gem of a lovely family run restaurant, we go here whenever we can with family for breakfast, lunch, dinner and pudding! So clean you could almost eat off the floor, all staff are wonderful and so friendly, 100% value for money too, cannot fault a single thing and would highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My aunt takes me here every time I visit and I look forward to it! Yes, it could be described as old-fashioned but the prices are also old fashioned: I am always surprised by the value for money. There is an ample selection of food on the menu, (although arguably not so much for those with dietary restrictions), the service is exemplary, the venue is clean and tidy with character. I look forward to my next visit.

Simply perfect in charm and execution. Willows serves home made food exactly how it should be. We stopped for lunch in Andover half way through a longer journey and were so charmed with Willows, we’d actually go as a destination in itself another time. We had a jacket potato and tea, and a brie and bacon toasted sandwich. We were so tempted by the huge range of desserts but didn’t have. Apparently the restaurant was previously a historic post office. The wooden beams and traditional artefacts added to our enjoyment. Thank you.

Willows is a family owned and run restaurant where the emphasis is on superbly cooked food served in a warm welcoming environment. it is run by husband and wife team Zena and Nick. Zena is one of the front of restaurant team that greet and serve the fortunate diners with their selections from the menu, Nick is responsible for producing the delightful food with which you are served. All the food is freshly cooked and this may result in a small delay while you await your selection, but the wait is well worth it. The restaurant decor is smart, comfortable and relaxing. Due to its popularity with its discerning customers, you will be well advised to phone ahead to book your table to avoid disappointment.

The place is always lovely and clean, with beautiful white crockery, and very clean cutlery. Excellent service from management and staff at all times. Well done willows!

Visited recently for a mid-week spot of lunch. As the venue is so small I did ring an hour in advance to book a table and was lucky enough to be offered the chance to sit in the window which was lovely as enabled us to people watch as we ate.I enjoyed a lovely chicken mayo sandwich although it was so heavily filled it was hard to eat the whole thing but this is not a complaint I just wasn't expecting it to be quite so full and had ordered a portion of chips to go on the side!Hubby had a vegetarian chilli bean dish with rice but this was slightly disappointing as not many beans and tasted more like a thick soup - next time he will have a sandwich. The best bit was the hot homemade scones which were fantastic - lovely and large, slightly misshapen and crunchy on the outside just how they should be, good amount of clotted cream however no choice of jam - strawberry - this was my only bug bear as it is my least favourite jam and they could not offer an alternative. Intend on not leaving it too long before returning for another lunch.

Went to Willows for lunch and was definitely impressed. A very good selection on the menu and the board offered further tempting items. I enjoyed the main course but it was the dessert that really got to me. I had lemon meringue with ice cream and it was absolutely delicious, much better than I have had at supposedly better restaurants. The service was also very attentive and when they asked if you wanted any condiments etc, it was brought to the table very quickly. Enjoyed it so much I know that I will be back in the near future.

We have been visiting this friendly family run restaurant regularly for the past couple of years. The service is always quick and the staff make everyone feel special, from the regulars (of which there are many), to the first time visitor. The food is all home produced and the specials are always seasonal. The chef even welcomes suggestions from the customers of what they would like to see on the menu, and if there is there is something you do not like, alternatives are offered, (I have even known them to remove bacon fat for one discerning customer.)The tea is served in pots with a hot water top up, whilst the coffee is served with hot milk. The home made scones and shortbreads are delicious, the hot puds are to die for, and the breakfasts are good value for money, offering a range of sizes to suit individual appetites.Although not directly in the centre of town, I would recommend taking the extra couple of minutes to walk to the top of the town to source this homely, good value, friendly little oasis of non commercialism.

Restaurant very clean, brilliant home cooked food, served very well, main meals always piping hot. Hot and cold desserts also home cooked and delicious. The restaurant was once the old post office, lovely to see that the management has kept the decor to the old look. Does bring back a lot of memories when you sit in the restaurant, especially when I remember going into the old post office and buying my son all the little cars they used to sell. Lovely to see a lot of the old generation who were born and bred Andover visiting "Willows". Lovely clean, quiet place to sit over lunch and chat about the post office, and about the old Andover. Willows is such a lovely, welcoming restaurant. We've been there a number of times and always been impressed by the friendly staff and delicious home cooked food.We visited today for the first time since we have had our son and we were very touched by how much trouble they went to. There was a clean high hair waiting at our reserved table, and they chose a table that was ideal for all the paraphernalia that comes with a baby/toddler.The food was incredible. I had a roast dinner, which took me down memory lane to the big family roasts I had with my grandparents, followed by hot chocolate fudge cake, which was utterly divine. We can not recommend willows highly enough, it is a real credit to Andover. Visited here for our customary “breakfast Friday” Came here 7 years ago when Pork Pie Sam Aldridge failed the Belly Gut Buster!!! I won’t lie! On that occasion the portion was big but the quality was poor. However this time, I can honestly say it’s one of the best breakfast we’ve ever had!!!! Everything was bang on and we were extremely happy with the offering. Had same great food ( fried bread was on point ) the staff were great and and we were full up like a tin can of crackers after. The apprentice Harvey was so impressed he tried to eat his fingers. And Bald Les took a shine to the lady behind the Eastern European Grol working the till All in All we had a great time, and next time we need a breakfast, some oil, and a hub cap we will be sure to pop in. Cheers and All The Best 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We booked here as a Birthday Meal and pre warned when booking that in the party we had a Gluten Free Allergy requirement. When booking in at the Restaurant we asked for a Gluten Free Menu. Our order was taken and within the 5 for £20 starters requested 2 lots of GF Garlic Bread. When the starters came out all were on one platter and not separated and after a couple of minutes waiting requested plates to be able to eat/share the food and at this point was told 'by the way the Garlic Bread is not Gluten Free, we didn't have any'. Thankfully my son had not started to eat!!! We then asked for the Food to be taken away and was brought back 10 minutes later as 2 no Gluten Free Buns toasted with Garlic Butter. The main meal of a Burger and Chips came out with the same bun, which was not eaten as already had enough...... Safe to say the 10% added service fee we took off. Very disappointed.

We looked on Tripadvisor when travelling nearby and did a quick detour for lunch and are so glad we did! We (humans and a dog!) received a very warm welcome. I had the rainbow trout and I can honestly say it was the nicest meal I’ve had in a long time, my husband also very much enjoyed his steak pie. It made his day when he realised the fruit crumble was rhubarb as that’s always been his absolute fave! If in the area again we would definitely return!

On a chilly early spring day - after buying onion sets and seed potatoes in this high quality family-run garden centre - we had an early lunch in their warm conservatory café: delicious soup, bread and particularly outstandingly yummy - and large! - cheese scones - all home made. The cheese scones are by far the best in a 10 mile radius of Romsey! The garden centre is also known locally for the wide collection of high quality dahlia plants.
