Great Value for Money - delicious lunch, good service I had a Brie, pepper, onion marmalade wrap and it came with a lovely fresh dressed salad, crisps and coleslaw. Full of flavour, didn’t have to wait too long which is always a bonus. Had that and an oat cappuccino. All for only £10!!!! Will definately be back

After a visit to Winston Churchills house at Chartwell, we wanted to have a late lunch today somewhere local. We happened to park in Westerham opposite this absolute treasure of a place. There is a wonderful back garden, and although very snug - it was so very comfortable. Our lunch (in my case homemade Leek and Potato Soup, and a fantastic selection from the specials board for my wife) was absolutely first class. The service came with a super smile as well. The prices are very reasonable indeed which was the icing on the cake. Although many miles away - we would love to go back and enjoy it again. I heartily recommend it to anyone, both locals, and those visiting Chartwell House, which is about 2 miles away. This menu is hands-down superior to the menu at the Chartwell House cafe (no offence - but it is) Sorry - I can't think of anything bad to say! Thank you for a magnificent lunch!

Ian and his team provided us and 20 other friends to a superb Buffet lunch at our home 31st July. The menu which we created with them was exactly as requested. Timing, service and attention to detail was second to none. we had a choice of canapés on arrival, followed by 3 mains to choose from, Salmon, Coronation Chicken and Pork accompanied with a choice of salads, and new Potatoes. Desserts followed and all was perfect. A very big thank you Ian, Rose and Yasmin you were great. I would thoroughly recommend The Courtyard and give them 5 stars. We will be using them again.

My friends and I hired The Courtyard for a baby shower. From start to finish the staff provided excellent service. They allowed us to decorate their courtyard in any way we liked (from bunting, to balloons… we even set up our own painting station to decorate our own wooden blocks for baby to be). We chose to have an afternoon tea which featured the most incredible cakes and scones all displayed beautifully. Tania and Ian catered for each of the guests varying dietary requirements which created the perfect menu for all. Would highly recommend this location for a private event! We’ll be back!

My wife and I, and her with her friends, have visited twice over the last 3/4 weeks, and every time we go the service is absolutely spot on, plus their scrambled egg on toasted sourdough is to die for. Home cooked food at its best, and warm welcomes on each occasion. Highly recommended.

I have frequented this business for many years. Always had a great experience. Today, (Oct 25) I had a king prawn open sandwich for lunch and I told the owners that they excelled themselves. I would love to see open sandwiches being offered as a regular option at this lovely business. The staff are always so kind, they use top quality ingredients, the food tastes great and they produce really nice looking food when it is delivered to your table. Can’t ask for anything more. Do go and visit them. They do take away and having seating inside the cafe and at the back of the cafe. Today was very busy.

Located in the Town centre, with nearby parking. Small narrow interior with entry steps, and steps to some seating, so definitely not wheelchair friendly. Mainly tables for two inside, with larger tables in the conservatory and in the rear courtyard. Nicely decorated, reasonably presented and clean inside. There is both inside and outside seating available. The staff, and particularly our waitress were brilliant. polite, attentive, friendly and well turned out. We had no issues with the staff at all. The menu is quite extensive, with specials available. The food was nothing short of superb, really tasty, fresh, very nicely presented and a real plate full. Top marks for the food. A little more pricey than other tea rooms in the town, but still not bad value for money taking the food quality into account. A very enjoyable visit, We will quite happily return. Well worth a visit

I’d never seen this place before and I’m so glad I found it! I had buttermilk chicken waffles and they were delicious! My mums club sandwich was equally as nice. Such a lovely, quiet location, friendly staff, and excellent food. I will be back!

It is remiss of me not to have posted this review, having visited with my wife back in March when we both had a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast sitting in the conservatory at the rear.

We have used the courtyard a few times now for lunch takeaway, the food is good quality, however the takeaway prices seem very high for lunch. You can pay £9 for a takeaway salad which seems incredibly high compared to other options on the high street, disappointing as we’d use them more often otherwise.

A fine lunch in the heart of Westerham. Beautiful setting, decor with a fabulous menu of sandwiches, baguettes, jackets & salads. Tasty cakes & a variety of coffees & teas. Very welcoming :)

Met here with friends on Friday evening the food was amazing lovely platters. The staff were brilliant and very friendly will definitely be back.

I had the most delicious Seafood Platter at The Courtyard this evening. A variety of fish and seafood, with dips, dressing, crackers, bread, salad leaves etc. It would have cost more for me to make it at home! Ian and Tania are happy to do a Half-Platter, which is perfect for one - it definitely satisfied my very good appetite. It’s a great place to eat, any time of day. Lovely courtyard garden. Friendly helpful staff, and a lovely atmosphere. AND they’re fully licensed - check out their drinks list...

5 of us went to The Courtyard Friday for their first night of opening weekend nights....what a lovely time we had...the food was amazing...the refit was amazing the staff were amazing and the atmosphere was AMAZING...can't wait to go again...if you haven't been here before you should...you will love it...

Went to The Courtyard for their first late night opening last night (Friday night). What an amazing make- over the coffee shop has had done, from ivy with lights on the ceiling to bunting, bubble mirrors and a fantastic new sign outside I barely recognised the place. My family and I went on Friday night and had the meat and cheese sharing platter to share with some beer and bubbles. What a little Gem found in the heart of westerham. Would highly recommend for breakfast lunch or an evening with friends. Friendly staff, fantastic food. I cannot wait to return.

I order my sandwiches at least a few times a week from the courtyard. They never disappoint. Great value and gorgeous food!

A lovely little cafe in the centre of westerham. Great location. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delivered diligently and tasted great. A very clean and wholesome place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Can’t wait to return.

After providing delicious delivered meals for those locked down in the Community during the Covid epidemic Ian and Tania are back running the Courtyard so my wife had Lunch there yesterday. They have arranged the tables so they are socially distanced, have opened up the rear premises and have gone though the precautions set down in the Government guidelines. I had Salt Beef Panini and my wife had Smoked Salmon Baguette which were served with delicious mixed salads, we both enjoyed our meals very much and at £19 we thought the the bill was very reasonable>

Great place, salt beef sandwich - absolutely delicious. Soups are great also. Friendly staff and place great to go to.

Provided catering for a Celebration of Life event at a local golf club in south London. Catering for 65+ people. Excellent buffet which met the needs of everyone who attended. Very good quality with a lot of choice and presented exceptionally well. Staff were attentive but discreet. Significant contribution to the success of the event on a difficult day. Thoroughly recommended and would not hesitate to engage The Courtyard Events again.

Went here for their first afternoon tea. Wow...Is all I can say have been to several in London at double the price! The food far exceeded my expectations talk about value for money and so much food. If the afternoon tea is anything to go by will definitely be going back for lunch soon.

Cheery welcome and lovely cakes on offer, however, the coffee we had was poor. Milk had been boiled, possibly, and taste effected.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We booked The Courtyard to do the catering for our sons 2nd Birthday (approximately 40 adults plus 10 children). The team were a delight to work with from the start and on the day excelled themselves. The team arrived on site on time and were professional, friendly and so helpful throughout the day. The food was AMAZING and all our guests commented on what a wonderful array of food was available (our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free guests said they’d never been so well catered for at a party before and the meat eaters were equally happy....those chicken bites are out of this world!). I would strongly recommend the team and I will definitely be using The Courtyard Events team for catering for future functions. Thank you Tania and Lauren.

The Courtyard is a gem of a cafe, this was our 2nd visit and even at 3pm on a Monday afternoon we were treated to freshly prepared food that would rival any eatery in the area.

Went for lunch today. Great food , great personal service . Only second visit but will definitely go again . Quality food . Had a salad not on the menu. Delicious. Pop in you will get great food.

On a very wet day I visited with my cousin, this lovely cafe is tiny but produces the most amazing food, inexpensive but plentiful! Very good coffee too. Well worth a visit, but get there early they are very busy at lunchtime.

Just popped in for a light bite in Westerham and it was very nice I had a salt beef sandwich and was very impressed the portion was good with salad and the bread was fresh and soft. Highly recommend stopping here for lunch and a coffee.

One of the better places in town to go for breakfast. Friendly staff and refill coffee on top of a good breakfast is what you get. Definitely come back here

worth walking out of the centre of Westerham to find this lovely cafe, sat outside in the courtyard garden with the dogs, who got offered a nice bowl of water. lovely home made cake and the children enjoyed milkshakes.

we used Ian and his team for a family gathering. the venue was at a golf course. Ian provided the buffet food and unlimited coffees and teas. nothing was too much trouble for Ian, on arrival the cold food was laid out ready. the hot food come out shortly afterwards. this meant all the food was fresh for our guests. the food was great tasting and plentiful. the teas and coffees were refilled throughout the afternoon. the staff were quick and polite when doing their table visits. i would highly recommend Ian and his team.

Tuvimos una deliciosa sopa de brócoli y stilton y un sándwich dedo fisher! La sopa estaba un gran plato con mucho pan. El sándwich era guarnición de ensalada, repollo y patatas fritas. Ambos eran buenas y 5 libras. Fuimos al patio de atrás donde afortunadamente la protegida del sol brillaba. Buen servicio

He visitado varias veces el patio para el almuerzo. Cada vez la comida ha sido deliciosa, fresca y buena relación calidad-precio! El personal siempre es amable y eficiente. El lugar es bastante pequeño, sin embargo tienen una encantadora zona de la parte trasera que será perfecto en el verano. El restaurante está siempre limpio y ordenado. La línea de pasteles frescos en el mostrador siempre un aspecto tentador y delicioso. Después de probar otros lugares en la zona de éste es de lejos el mejor. Sin duda merece la pena una parada en boxes si estás en la zona; no aceptan pagos con tarjeta, pero hay una máquina de tarjeta al lado de la carretera.

Después de un ajetreado tarde de compras, estábamos listos para un sentarse y una bebida caliente como hacía mucho frío afuera. Descubrimos este café pequeño pero bonito y pedimos chocolate caliente, y la selección de tartas caseras somos tentados, así que teníamos grandes rebanadas de tofu Limón esponja. Delicioso.

Llamamos a almorzar cuando estábamos de paso por Westerham. Había algunas mesas en el interior y un montón de asientos extra en el patio. Algunas de estas eran adaptar a nuestras necesidades. La comida estaba bien presentada y un cambio agradable de lo que te dan en cadenas. Sin duda volveré de nuevo.

Recently visited this little "bistro" type cafe on the recommendation of friends. My husband and had lunch on two consecutive days as we'd enjoyed the food there so much. Friendly girls serving and quick service too. Reasonable prices for hot, tasty meals although sandwiches etc also available. Will certainty be using this little restaurant again soon./

Always great food and love it not being part of a chain, sons favourite is bacon and Brie panini. Locals in Westerham eat here, tourists make the mistake of the Costa!

Visited with family for a quick lunch. Very disappointing. Can't understand all the good reviews. The food was average, we had soup and sandwiches. The soup was not very flavoursome although it was well presented. The bread however was lovely and fresh. The most disappointing part is that the cafe doesn't look particularly clean. The floor was visibly dirty and I guess the 3 rating for food hygiene doesn't convince me the place takes cleanliness particularly seriously. It's not hard to achieve a higher rating and concerns me that any business wouldn't rectify this as a matter of urgency. Disappointing as this cafe has a great location and could be a real asset to Westerham.

This delightful little cafe has a surprisingly varied menu and perfect for lunch after a walk in the nearby hills. Prices are reasonable but cash only. Would definitely go back.

Having read lots of good reviews on trip advisor I arranged to meet a friend at this cafe for brunch. It's a pleasant location with a friendly feel. I ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and granary toast. The portion size was generous but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. The coffee was lovely. The service was also a little slow.

Deceptive from the approach as there's more space I side with an additional courtyard room at the back. Friendly welcome, good choice of daily specials and beverages. Cakes looked delicious with deep fillings. We had fish finger & tartare sauce sarnies on tasty granary, generously served with slaw, ridged crisps and salad, large glasses of Apple juice. Delicious and less than £12. Excellent.

I was pleasantly surprised when The Coffee Garden as was, turned into something quite amazing, it was spacious, tables & chairs looked clean and the service was exemplary.I had a fish finger sandwich, my wife had a smoked salmon sandwich, a large black coffee & pot of tea, finished the meal, but they didn't stop there, the waitress filled my coffee cup FREE REFIL how many places do that these days!I left a very satisfied customer

we popped into this café and immediately was welcomed by all of the staff. Very friendly and the service was excellent. The tables were clean and my partner had a sandwich ( which was enormous) and I had a Salt Beef baguette which was delicious! both were served with salad, coleslaw and Crips. Excellent value for money If ever we are in Westerham again we will visit

Took my children here for lunch and we sat out in the courtyard garden which is lovely if the weather is fine. We all ordered sandwiches which came well filled and with crisps, salad and a bowl of coleslaw. If you have the ordinary filter coffee they refill it for you if required. It was`nt busy when we went so service was good and we did`nt wait long for our food. Staff were polite and friendly. Although not cheap (but on par with most decent tea rooms/cafes) I would go back here again.

We arrived at this lovely cafe for lunch, there appeared to be no tables but there is a conservatory at the back but it's not visible from the front of the shop.The cafe was quite busy as it does takeaway as well as eat in . A kind man offered us his table as he was just leaving with his take out, the table was cleared but the waitress never came back to wipe it and it was a little milky from previous users, the floor around my chair also had lots of spilt food maybe from a child but could have done witha sweep! After ordering a pot of tea and a wrap and baguette, the tea arrived very quickly but the food took ages to arrive over 30 mins, it was a good job we had paid for we tow hours parking rather than the hour that we were going to do !, The food was nice when it arrived, I had a wrap which as very well filled and my husband had the baguette with hot bacon in , maybe that was what too the time, A person who came in about 20 mins after us, ordered and got her meal the and as my husbands within about five minutes. They sell very handsome looking cakes but we did not sample them, Not sure if I would go back but worth a try as the food was good ,

I have visited this place a couple of times. Although not easily understandable if you queue or take a seat to order, once the food arrives you won't be sorry. I would recommend a clearer menu showing regular deals (like the meal deal) to the owners and the soup to the customers

I am so lucky to have this wonderful cafe close by. There is always an exciting special on offer to tempt you when deciding what to choose for lunch, they will even deliver it to me when they can. I have ordered canapes for an evening drinks party which were fabulous and great value too. Good home made soup is often hard to find but an imaginative soup option is often on offer. I would even say that Ian and Tanya are "Soupologists" !!!

I take my lunch sandwich at The Courtyard every day during the week. I have never been disappointed. I have to do take away but there is also the possibility to eat in and the sandwiches are then served on a board with fries and salad which look lovely and tasty.

The staff at this small café work hard in rather cramped conditions to give you tasty fresh food and a pleasant experience. Though small, it offers tables inside with views of the main street, in a conservatory, and in an outside garden area, thus coping with all types of weather. Our party of four tried various coffees, and were pleased with the quality of all of them. We learned from other customers that the cakes and meals are genuinely home-made and very enjoyable. We shall visit again next time we are in the area.

After visiting Chartwell and not liking what was on offer for lunch there we decided to stop at Westerham and came across this lovely cafe we sat in an outside courtyard and ordered our lunch when it appeared it was a feast to behold very tasty home made coleslaw and home made sausage roll with a generous side salad my husbands panini was also served with a generous side salad and crisps , staff are also very friendly. On leaving had to tear my self away from the assortment of cakes. will defiantly be be back and will be recommending this little find in the village of Westerham.

First time called at The Courtyard for a quick lunch. It is just off the town centre and we found it busy and friendly. Chose bacon bagettes and coffee. Bagettes where full, made to order and came with excellent garnish. Coffee included refills - we had one refill so don't know if they offer more refills. They allow dogs in the conservatory at the back of the café.
