great relief to find this place as the breakfast at the B&B was poor. the breakfast was good value of tasty. we went a few times

Richies Diner is a gem on the IOW. Best breakfast in town and the staff are friendly and courteous. Kirstie, in particular, is excellent; very proferssional and committed to superb customer service. To quote Arnie, I'll be back (often).

We went for lunch as we'd read such great reviews. I went for a BLT sandwich, the cheapest white slice bread, two slices of bacon that managed to be both undercooked and burnt,on the side a dish of Mayo. The beans on toast used the same bread and it was a sloppy mess. Mug of coffee and a tea cost £13.40. Won't return.

Absolutely superb! Best breakfast on the island! Been twice in 3 days it was that good. Lovely atmosphere and clean as a whistle too.

I have been meaning to come here for a long time and finally got the chance to with some work friends who can’t recommend it enough and I can see why. A typical “greasy spoon” breakfast but nothing greasy about it. The “bloater” breakfast is super good, served with a tea in a sports direct mug. If you had one of those you know how large they are, if you spilt your drink you’d probably cause a flood. Some thick slices of bread to mop up everything. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Will be coming back 100%!

I have been going to Richie's Diner for a number of years now and it is one of a couple of local cafes that is not aimed solely at tourists. It is very well used by the locals and tourists alike. The staff are very friendly to everyone and the food is always good. I find it a good place for local business's to network and do business over a coffee on millionaires table.

Really a unique place with an excellent and friendly staff team. They go out of their way to respond to the customer's preferences, and keep the feel-good factor in top gear! A real tonic amidst the daily grind, and worth its weight in gold.

Having eaten at a large number of cafes in the South of England over the years. It has taken till now to find the best cafe ever. Ritchies Diner on the Isle of Wight is so good it is breathtaking. I have now eaten the Bloater twice. There is no grease, all ingredients are generally a cut above normal fare for quality. Perfectly cooked extremely tasty. I would eat there everyday if my waistline and wallet could afford it. Prices are reasonable for the size of the portions. There is a constant flow of regulars and visitors to this place. A nice friendly feel all round.

We were staying at the Premier Inn across the road but we came to ritchies diner for our breakfast instead lovely fresh food banging BLThubby had poached egg on toast friendly a little gem tucked away defo be back when we come back to the island

I took my nephew here again today as it’s his favourite place to eat ! Must admit it’s becoming mine too - love the bubble and squeak, friendly staff, really relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

The staff were friendly. However they did seem to know most of the people who came in which did make us feel a bit out of place. There was a strong smell of bleach which was a bit off putting when you’re trying to eat. The place was quite loud as it’s a small diner with lots of tables. The baguettes were lovely but on the breakfast the bacon wasn’t great as it was cheap bacon

The cafe is opposite Morrison’s supermarket and you could drive past it and miss it. We ordered three full Monty’s (£7.50) and a child portion( too big for a three year old and £1, less than the fully Monty. The breakfast was hot and Presented nicely, with the fried egg a little on the firm side. The portion was generous and well cooked, although the sausage was deep fried.

Very good no frills but excellent cafe with a huge menu and large portions. Great all day breakfast and lots of choice. They are also happy to vary their standard meals if you want to swap one ingredient for another. My wife hates tomatoes so...

Great place for breakfast. Excellent value and freshly cooked to order. Lovely clean environment. Friendly staff and owner. We're frequent visitors to the island will definitely come back and would highly recommend.

Visit regularly for Sunday breakfast. Meal and service fantastic,excellent vfm.Really friendly staff. Once you've had breakfast, you won't need to eat for the rest of the day.

This place is what i would refer to as a 'dirty cafe' not in reference to the cleanliness, but the old school appropach Pints of Tea, Oversized breakfasts, genuine quality food, full of dirty builders, and very polite staff

This is one TOP greasy spoon, best breakfast for ages served with slabs of tiger bread.. wish it was local!! Highly recommended

This is your basic traditional no frills cafe. Good quick service. You won't leave hungry as the portions are massive. Nice early opening times too.

The whole team are just brilliant Richie and all involved. Good is amazingly priced how do they do it. Everything home made traditional deserts that you all know and love and experience shows. Best get there early as gets busy because of reputation.

Went in with my wife for breakfast and it was well presented and the staff are very friendly, lots of working men eating in there shows it's great value as well. highly recommended

Just back from holiday, no food in and needed something quick. Easy parking outside and then two big sausage sandwiches, proper tea and great fries. The breakfasts looked huge and everywhere you looked were happy faces.

We tried this place for the first time and was really impressed, we had the Bubble and Squeak breakfast with beans, bacon and eggs and it was lovely, it also came with a huge chunk of thick soft bread. Teas were in mugs and it was good strong tea. Service was great, very helpful and we would certainly stop here again.

Breakfast has never been so good! A very generous cooked breakfast with their signature bubble and squeak and scrummy crusty bread with the usual traditional full English breakfast yumminess! The outside doesn't portray what an excellent breakfast and lunch diner this is as it is in a light industrial area. The fact it is full of local workers should be recommendation enough but we are adding our recommendations too. The only downside we could find is it's cash only but now you're forewarned you have no excuse not to visit. I seriously couldn't eat another thing until late that evening!

Had the steak and eggs and The Full Monty. Added spicy chipotle sauce that rivals what you could get in the States. This place is a greasy spoon meets classic American diner.

5 of us arriving at different times and managed to order each meal and get them served to us at the same time. Food was good and filling, a good size portion of each item for a reasonable price even when ordering outside of the set breakfast menu.

Came here for a late breakfast with hubby. He had full English, I opted for bubbles and squeak with double eggs, double bacon, tomatoes and the biggest slice of fresh crusty bread you've ever seen! Proper cup of builder's tea included for £5.95 each. Everything cooked to perfection, the fried eggs were absolutely perfect. Couldn't fault it. If you're staying at the Premier Inn over the road you may want to compare breakfasts. You won't be disappointed. An absolute GEM!!

Without doubt this place serves the best full English breakfast! Everything is cooked to order by a very cheerful lady, even homemade bubble and squeak.

We were delighted to have learned about this place going a bit inland from Lake away from all the places near the coast charging unnecessary prices. This place does really great food at a price that can't be complained at. If it's a nice satisfying lunch, through to a big breakfast for those with the stomach for it, this truly original indepndently run American diner is a fantastic island experience. We'd definitely want to come here again on our next visit to the island!

While waiting for my car to be ready, grabbed a full monty for £5.95 you get a good English breakfast and cuppa and a door stop of bread to mop up. Spot on.

I love this place! If only had the breakfast they are amazing very good price for very good food others if gone with have had other things like the burgers and they too said it was really very good. Staff are lovely and it feels like a proper family run diner. And also try there milkshakes!!!

This restaurant is not in Seaview! It is actually in Lake, several miles away. I have repeatedly posted this on TripAdvisor but they take no notice!

Mi primera visita a Ritchies Cena con la familia y amigos. Las mejores marcas para un gran desayuno inglés completo y ningún problema cambiando un par de cosas. Hamburguesa casera muy sabrosa y los tamaños de porción excelente, todo muy buena relación calidad-precio. Personal muy acogedor y agradable lugar para esperamos. Otra crítica no mencionan las sillas parecía un poco bajo para las mesas, que quizás, pero sin duda no es una crítica y de ninguna manera mimado nada. ¡volveremos!

For a full English breakfast at around £5.00 to include a mug of tea or coffee, Richie's Diner although only a café, serves the best breakfast in the area.

He ido a Richie's Diner unas cuantas veces, y no han decepcionado. Ambiente agradable, enormes porciones de comida y no puede atender a más necesidades. Incluso si no está en el menú, Richie harán todo lo posible por ayudar.

Absolutamente encantador, realmente disfrutar de comida aquí. vamos a Isle of Wight cada año para visitar a la familia y cada año vamos a richies algo para comer. Nos encanta nuestro desayuno aquí y a los niños les encanta. Lo que es una ventaja es que es barato y especialmente con una gran familia como tenemos. Eso es una de las cosas que mencionar en el largo 5/6 horas de viaje hasta el ferry que no podemos esperar para un desayuno inglés completo en el restaurante richies

Excelente comida buena relación calidad-precio y muy acogedor. No le puedo sacar ningún defecto . Está en una zona industrial y no parece tan atractivo desde afuera, pero sin duda volver una y otra vez.

We visited here at the weekend - it doesn't look much from the outside as it's located within a business centre but once inside it is a real treat. Lots of music memorabilia and pictures on the wall and service friendly and efficient. Best of all was the breakfast though - 4 full english breakfasts, drinks, bread and butter for 20 pounds. Fab value and set us up for the day, would recommend!

Lovely roast couldn't fault it plenty of meat etc very good choice of puddings these were tasty as well and great value for money £6.29 each!! Service was great will definitely return and recommend it.

Cannot go wrong with breakfast here. Full English is always good and comes with a decent wedge of buttered tiger bread ...mmmmmmm. Excellent value for money.

Can't go wrong if you want a full english breakfast. The Full Monty (£4.95) is more than adequate, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, egg, beans, tomato, toast or fried bread, tiger bread and a mug of tea or coffee. excellant value. If your more peckish go for the big boy, basically double the above and a pint of tea or coffee for £7.95.

Been here quite a lot in the past, always great food at cheap prices. I would say that the food here is better than what you would get in some pub or restaurants that you would pay alot more money for. Always very busy and popular, so must be doing something right to bring people back. Keep up the good work, will be back again soon.

This is a cracking place to start off your day and one of the best breakfasts on the island. Service is good and plenty of parking outside. Excellent value for money & you will struggle to eat the mega breakfast!

If you want plenty of freshly cooked no-nonsense food, a friendly atmosphere and really interesting surroundings go to Richie's family run Diner in Lake on the Isle if Wight. Besides the excellent food there is a warm wecoming feeling when you enter. Amazing 50's and 60"s memorabilia fill the walls and a 'life sized statue of Elvis greets you inside the door. A model of Betty Boop watches over you from the counter. Richie's 'Belly Buster" breakfast is - well belly busting! and his Sunday Roasts are a must(they come with a drink and a wide variety of puddings. Very reasonable prices
