The best restaurants serving British food in Tonbridge and Malling South East

We came here for our spa day retreat and afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the tea was amazing too. Everyone made me and my sister very comfortable. The staff were amazing and polite and really made the experience perfect.

We had a drive to find a nice countryside pub, so found the Kings Arms and stopped off. Had a couple of pints, missus on the coke as she was driving. I had the lamb shank roast, missus had the chicken salad. Both were spot on in taste and presentation. Veg was fresh and the lamb just fell off the bone. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We will certainly be back.

First time back here for a couple of years, and still as good as before. Friendly staff, broad well priced menu, and very generous portions of well prepared food.

Lovely interior with burning log fires. Excellent lunch which was enjoyed by all seven of us- we will be back! It is being transferred to community ownership but the staff will continue which is good news!

This is a grandma's front room type of old skool pub that I adore. Check it out while you can.

This place has sadly has become very overpriced and average. It massively lacks attentive staff, particularly in management, one of the lady managers is incredibly rude and sarcastic. I had to endure an overpriced meal with terrible service, the last thing you want when you go out for a special treat!

brilliant place come here for my brakes at college for a little snack and i could never complain i recommend the loaded chips for a quick snack

This place has gone downhill rapidly, we (was) regulars to this pub, not anymore as it’s over run by dogs! And dog owners who let their dogs lick tables that are supposed to have food served them. The interior is terrible and tables are now all stick and furniture is older than my Nan ! This should be known as the ‘dog cafe. It isn’t clean & is in need of a good re-vamp. Shocking is putting it politely!

I was attracted, first of all, by the aroma of freshly baked bread and decided to stop for a cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly and the coffee was very good. The seating was extremely comfortable and, although I did not try any of the snacks on offer, they did look delicious. Next time, I will try a snack.
